We had just spent several hours on a tour bus and were dropped off nearby. We were going to go to Wing Stop, but it was crowded in there, so we kept walking. We were about to pass this place, but after seeing no other options down the street, we decided to go here. We are so glad we did! This was probably the best food we've eaten in London thus far! We ordered the "Feast to Share," which included the Mezza Platter, we chose the Mixed Grill and Salmon, and finally, Baklava & mint tea. We also got a side of fries for my child. Everything was flavorful, even the fries. This was the first time I ordered Salmon in a Lebanese or any Meditteranean restaurant, and I was very happy. I'm not sure if my Pina Colada had alcohol but I loved it so much that I needed another one. The decor of the place is so vibrant it makes you feel happy. My child and I went downstairs to the restrooms when we first arrived, and he was drawn to the large fruit baskets on the tables and the cool, colorful hats along the side. Even the restrooms were bright and cheery. The service was also fantastic at this place. I think the guy that took our order was the owner (he looked like the baby on the picture on the cover of the menu), and he wasn't wearing one of those aprons. So, we had to ask another server for a straw, and he obliged. My husband accidentally spilled his beer, and another server came by with a towel to help clean it up. The staff were friendly and attentive and the place was very colorful. We got seated immediately and somebody took our order right away. The food was good but I have to say I've had better Lebanese food in San Francisco of all places. That being said - I think this place is still worth a try. Halloumi salad was flavorful and tender unlike the usual bland and rubbery fare I am used to. Lentil soup was a perfect spice balance , again rare especially with reasonably priced and well located places. I tried my wife's falafel , also great. Let me start out with how horrible the service was. Three times we had to ask for water and twice we had to ask for plates. We sat for over an hour and a half waiting for our food to the point where we almost asked for the check and left. The food was at best mediocre. Hummus was tasteless and needed more seasoning. We got steak and chicken. Steak was over cooked and the chicken had decent flavors but was dry. The only thing they have going for them is the ambiance. I came here for a quick lunch. This place is advertised as a Lebanese restaurant. I had the potatoes brava and the lamb kibbeh. The potatoes brava are normally fried with garlic, cilantro and a Touch of spicy tomato sauce. These were deep fat fried and had no discernible tomato flavoring. Restaurants have many variations on the dish. It was good. The lamb kibbeh is ground lamb shaped in an American football shape, coated in bulgur wheat, a center with pine nuts and pan fried. Never tried Lebanese food before, but went with the group. Was pleasantly surprised and everything we ate was good. The Grilled Lamb was the most popular. I had the Lamb Kofta Tagine. It was tasty, but the lamb was basically a meatball. So the flavor wasn't as good as the grilled, but the dish was still yummy. Just depends on what kind of flavor you want. read more

Awesome Lebanese food in London! So many Vegetarian options! We were there for dinner around 8 pm after a day long guided tour outside London. The bus dropped us at Gloucester Square and we were walking around trying to find a place to eat. We stumbled across this restaurant and we were glad we did! We were seated quickly and ordered the Vegetarian Sampler plus some other thing for appetizers. I ordered the Eggplant dish. The Appetizers were amazing and filling enough that when the main dishes came along we were almost full! Everything was good! I just love this place! The location is great, just across from the Gloucester underground station--it was right on the way for us, staying nearby. The interior is so quaint, the walls lined with bright-colored basket woven (?) bags. Everything here is colorful, even the chairs, wallpaper and floor tiles. And on one side of the wall, they have shelves and shelves of items for sale from cook books to flavored water! As for the food, We didn't have a huge appetite, so never got to try any of their main entrees. We only had the fattoush salad with falafel and a pizza-like bread covered with cheese, a perfect lighter dinner option. The oil and vinegar dressing was delightfully balanced--I hate when restaurants overdo the vinegar part! They also have a counter display of all kinds of middle eastern treats and specialties which is great for takeout. But what I really wanna rave about is their supposedly famous rose mint tea!!! OMG. Oh my gosh, the first thing I am going to do when we get home is look for a Lebanese restaurant, and hope they were as good as here. As other reviews noted it's definitely on the busier side but we got a table relatively quickly. I ordered the lamb wrap platter ... my girlfriend ordered the chicken wrap. I added a side of falafalafa and couscous. Our waiter was very friendly and pretty funny. When he brought our food, he joked that they ran out of chicken so their in house rule is you get lamb. Our water was never refilled and we had to wait 15 minutes+ in a over-staffed empty restaurant for the manager (not our waiter) to finally take our bill. The halloumi tortilla tasted very dry and seemed as if it had been microwaved. The falafel wrap platter dish was alright but nothing special. You could probably get a better wrap at Pret. What a great little eatery in the Kensington district in London! The restaurant is colourful, stocked with wonderful middle eastern specialties and the food was excellent. I had the Mezza plate for one which was delicious and filling for under £10. The falafel is the best I've eaten anywhere. My companions had chicken wraps and a spicy chicken kofta dish.
