This is why outs going to make me feel badly to say this, but not the best chicken shwarma, hummus, or tabouli that I've ever had. It was a bit bland, but sweet service which have them a 3-star rating. So the chicken shwarma was with dark meat and I've only ever had it with white meat. I got a small sliver of bone as that will stop me in my eating tracks! I know it's lame to say but it's a texture thing and it changes everything for me. Luckily it was toward the end so I didn't leave much. And yes, I know it will happen, even to us when we prepare our own food at home(not really) but I don't hold it against them. Its a personal thing for me.

They are situated outside the O2 arena opposite Ravensbourne college. They have a dining area next to the kiosk where one could eat their food and chill. Quiet a simple layout with dining tables and chairs, they also have a couches lined up against the wall. We were served by a lovely gentleman, very friendly and welcoming! Reason for not the full 5 stars was because the food my friend wanted to order wasn't available, so we opted for chicken and lamb shawarma with salad. Wonderfully made and very filling! They also had 'The Beatles' playing in the backgroud...FAB! I will definitely visit again :)

The server was wonderful. Very friendly. Very attentive. The menu is large. It was difficult to decide what to order. In the end I ordered the calamari as an appetizer and my husband ordered the falafel. The calamari was tender and delicious. The falafel was pretty bland. I've always had it served with tahini. This was served on hummus, but the hummus was also pretty bland. I would not order that again. For our entrees I ordered the Masukka and my husband ordered the sea bass. The Masukka was delicious but I bit into a small piece of gray plastic. I told the waiter and he apologized profusely and removed the Masukka from our check and insisted on giving us a complimentary dessert. My husband loved his sea bass. It was excellent. I had a glass of Sauvignon blanc with my dinner. It was lovely. After our waiter removed the Masukka our bill was £73. I would return again. The food and service, ambiance, and views were wonderful.

Very nice dining room, bit upscale ambiance, open kitchen. Cafe on one side, bar on the other side,…read morerestaurant in the middle. But I don't think the kitchen can handle the number of tables they have. Because they dish out food that needs more tender and care. The chicken meatballs were not cooked long enough and not warm enough. Mucver was soggy, lacking any crispiness and just too much mint added and too much cheese, there was hardly any zucchini, which is the whole point of this meze. I'm not kidding when I say I can make a better mucver at home, and I'm not even Turkish. The Lamb kofte main course was the smallest main course I have seen in a Turkish restaurant. The cous cous that came with it was so pathetically small, like it was served to a baby who just started eating solid foods last week. I looked around at other people's plates and same thing there. Honestly, a bit insulting to serve this little cous cous. There was not much salad either and so little cabbage. Normally I get served a generous serving of red cabbbage. I would have been better off getting two Meze for the same price as this main course. It's ok to serve a high price if your meat is premium quality and perfectly spiced, but this was average and not even hot in temperature. Felt like food didn't travel from kitchen to table in a reasonable time. They didn't have the Kazandibi dessert, but they had the Sutlac, this was weird because Kazandibi is basically an upside down sutlac with a caramelised surface, by the sounds of it. One is with orange and one with lemon. Could taste the orange at least, but not sure if the surface is supposed to have burnt black spots. A nice dining ambience is not enough to get me to come back. I made sure to get a good view of the river, because this is what you are paying extra up charge for.

Their signature offering is the "Persepolis Feasting Menu," which came with multiple courses to share. There's no set menu and the dishes offered change by the day, so there's always an element of surprise! We were started with ramekins of a sweet potato soup with yogurt, but my favorite course was the meze platter, which came with pasta salad, falafels, sweet potato fritters, pickles, a cottage cheese dip, tahini, and hummus with cheese puffs sticking out! The mezes were served with pita bread slices, which were perfect for eating with the dips. The next three dishes were amazing as well: crispy halloumi with sesame and honey; fattet, or pita chips with spinach, chickpeas, and tahini; and a creative dish of chips, melted cheese, cauliflower, mushrooms, tomato, and onion, all seasoned with a yellow spice mixture. Finally, the last two dishes were pakora, or battered mixed vegetables (onion, cauliflower, pickles) served with saffron and dill aiolis on the side; and a final platter of rice, cucumber/onion/tomato salad, a red kidney bean stew, and a potato stew. While decent, the fried vegetables were on the greasy side, and the stews had an overly sweet flavor, and I was more impressed with the earlier courses. Finally came a colorful platter of dessert, which included ice cream topped with rose syrup; two different types of baklava; a cream-filled cake roll; jalebis; Turkish delight; cookie sandwiches; dates; and sliced strawberries/oranges. Everything we had here was flavorful, delicious, creative, and beautifully-presented, and enjoying the Middle Eastern hospitality was a great experience!

But even this impatient native New Yorker is more then happy to deal. The avo smoothie is incredibly rich and whilst I thought the rose taste was a bit overpowering at this visit (my husband said it tasted like soap haha), I overall still loved it. My husband's date smoothie on the other hand was sadly underwhelming. My spiced broccoli soup was thick and creamy and full of flavour. I was so stuffed I regretted ordering the fried plaintains and eggs on bread as my main so my husband ended up eating it haha. But as I've ordered this before, I know how great it is. And he agreed, as it's slightly spicy and full of flavour. His main dish sadly again was bland: similar to a stir fry of veg and bread. He did enjoy the sahlep for takeaway though.
