This is why outs going to make me feel badly to say this, but not the best chicken shwarma, hummus, or tabouli that I've ever had. It was a bit bland, but sweet service which have them a 3-star rating. So the chicken shwarma was with dark meat and I've only ever had it with white meat. I got a small sliver of bone as that will stop me in my eating tracks! I know it's lame to say but it's a texture thing and it changes everything for me. Luckily it was toward the end so I didn't leave much. And yes, I know it will happen, even to us when we prepare our own food at home(not really) but I don't hold it against them. Its a personal thing for me.

They are situated outside the O2 arena opposite Ravensbourne college. They have a dining area next to the kiosk where one could eat their food and chill. Quiet a simple layout with dining tables and chairs, they also have a couches lined up against the wall. We were served by a lovely gentleman, very friendly and welcoming! Reason for not the full 5 stars was because the food my friend wanted to order wasn't available, so we opted for chicken and lamb shawarma with salad. Wonderfully made and very filling! They also had 'The Beatles' playing in the backgroud...FAB! I will definitely visit again :)

In a recent visit to the Spitafields market location the experience wasn't quite the same as previous visits. The falafel didn't seem fresh and the quality of the salads was not great. There was too much sauce for my liking and that ruined the dish. I ended up taking a few bites and gave the food away as it wasn't appetising or visually appealing. Having said that, I have had better experiences at other locations so I'm hoping this was a one off. Do be aware the queue is long in the Spitafields location during lunch.

(This was actually the original store.) I mean, there's not much that I can add to the other reviews, other than that their concept f.... works! Here's what you should do, when you come here: 1) Decide if you're super-hungry (2a) or just hungry (2b). (Don't come here if you're just peckish) 2a) Right, you're super-hungry. In that case I suggest you go for the falafel salad in a box. For extra protein and deliciousness, I'd add an egg for an extra 60p. (And if you really want to go crazy, add that dollop of tasty guacamole as well!) 2b) You're hungry? Go for the classic falafel sandwich in pita bread - make sure to get the wholemeal pita, as your health will thank you for it! (You can certainly also add all the extras as described above, but let me tell you that eating this will be a messy undertaking!) Now, last but not least, please make sure that especially if you're going for option 2b, you take plenty of napkins with you - as you will need them!

Wonderful place for Mediterranean cuisine! It's right on the water, in a great location…read more The interior is elegant. It has warm lighting, velvet seating, and nice background music. The server was wonderful. Very friendly. Very attentive. The menu is large. It was difficult to decide what to order. In the end I ordered the calamari as an appetizer and my husband ordered the falafel. The calamari was tender and delicious. The falafel was pretty bland. I've always had it served with tahini. This was served on hummus, but the hummus was also pretty bland. I would not order that again. For our entrees I ordered the Masukka and my husband ordered the sea bass. The Masukka was delicious but I bit into a small piece of gray plastic. I told the waiter and he apologized profusely and removed the Masukka from our check and insisted on giving us a complimentary dessert. My husband loved his sea bass. It was excellent. I had a glass of Sauvignon blanc with my dinner. It was lovely. After our waiter removed the Masukka our bill was £73. I would return again. The food and service, ambiance, and views were wonderful.

Very nice dining room, bit upscale ambiance, open kitchen. Cafe on one side, bar on the other side,…read morerestaurant in the middle. But I don't think the kitchen can handle the number of tables they have. Because they dish out food that needs more tender and care. The chicken meatballs were not cooked long enough and not warm enough. Mucver was soggy, lacking any crispiness and just too much mint added and too much cheese, there was hardly any zucchini, which is the whole point of this meze. I'm not kidding when I say I can make a better mucver at home, and I'm not even Turkish. The Lamb kofte main course was the smallest main course I have seen in a Turkish restaurant. The cous cous that came with it was so pathetically small, like it was served to a baby who just started eating solid foods last week. I looked around at other people's plates and same thing there. Honestly, a bit insulting to serve this little cous cous. There was not much salad either and so little cabbage. Normally I get served a generous serving of red cabbbage. I would have been better off getting two Meze for the same price as this main course. It's ok to serve a high price if your meat is premium quality and perfectly spiced, but this was average and not even hot in temperature. Felt like food didn't travel from kitchen to table in a reasonable time. They didn't have the Kazandibi dessert, but they had the Sutlac, this was weird because Kazandibi is basically an upside down sutlac with a caramelised surface, by the sounds of it. One is with orange and one with lemon. Could taste the orange at least, but not sure if the surface is supposed to have burnt black spots. A nice dining ambience is not enough to get me to come back. I made sure to get a good view of the river, because this is what you are paying extra up charge for.

This was my first visit and OMG this is the best falafel I've had outside of the Middle East or Mamoun's in NYC ( http://www.yelp.co.uk/biz/mamouns-falafel-new-york -- and I've been eating there for a very long time) The falafel quality itself is outstanding, crisp on the outside, soft and full of flavour on the inside. The box meal with salad , falafel & pita bread is outstanding value for money. For around £6.50, you get all of the above, and the salad means not only some leaves and onions, but a wide range of mixed salads and ingredients to include such as babaganoush (pureed eggplant), green chili, white cabbage, beetroot, couscous, lentils, olives, pasta, and you get to stuff it all into the the box yourself. I probably could have just done with the falafel & salad in a pitta (£4.50 I think)....as I write I am struggling to fit the rest of the huge meal in my tummy. To top off the experience, the service was really friendly and cheery. If only I could finish all this food......

If that makes you salivate just reading it, get yourself down there, because I promise you it tastes even better than you imagine I'd ordered my pita and was asked 'would you like a drink with that?'. I declined as I was pulling a suitcase and didn't have any spare hands. The lady serving me, then gave me a complimentary crunchy pickled chilli thing to try while I waited and I thought, 'oh, how nice'. It was pretty salty, and when the server smiled and asked again if I wanted to purchase a drink, I conceded and picked up a Limonata, knowing deep down, that it was one of the best bits of up-selling I've ever seen. Bravo falafel lady. You win this round, but I'll be wise to your tricks next time... ;) Checking in gets you 10% off your first order, which is always nice!
