Wanted something local and not touristy. Figured Mediterranean in London would be close to the best I could get without going to the Middle East. WOW!!! Yalla Yalla crushed it. Don't let the photo fool you, we got there right at noon but it was packed by the time we left. Probably the most moist chicken kebab I have had and DEFINITELY the best hummus we have ever had. Highly Recommend!!!!

Small family style restaurant with seating for about 20 inside and a couple of tables outside. Located on a side street. Excellent. Split chicken touak plenty for two. Also had lamb wrap. All very good. The hummus that came with the wrap was amazing.all the dishes came with a salad with balsamic vinegar dressing.

The spread: village mezze platter for two in the center, flanked by grilled halloumi with figs below and lamb kofta to the top-left

Yalla Yalla serves up fantastic Lebanese cuisine in a cozy, hole-in-the-wall restaurant in busy Soho. It has a family-run feel, and our table was right next to the kitchen counter. The food is delicious, and I'd recommend the village mezze platter the most--it comes with a ton of variety for a good value. The grilled halloumi with figs was also delectable and a nice mix of sweet syrup with savory halloumi. The lamb kofta was wonderful for something meaty. And of course, you have to finish off with the baklava. Overall a delicious meal in a fun ambiance. Check it out!

Awesome spot! The dishes were PACKED with flavor. My wife and I shared the hummus/pita and that was a great starter. As an aside--we are big water drinkers, so the fact that they put mint and lemon in their water was a very nice touch. We both ended up ordering the chicken shawarma (picture attached) and boy was it amazing. We definitely left full but in the greatest way possible. The garlic and chili sauces that they provide are excellent additions to the meal. The atmosphere is very unique and just an fyi, the bathrooms are hard to access if you're not ok with crouching down and climbing down steep stairs. The only downside to me were the prices were a little bit higher than expected for entrees but like I said, you leave very full, so you get what you pay for as far as that goes. All in all, come here! It's a great spot!

Such a cute little hole in the wall restaurant. This is a great place to stop by for lunch or dinner that doesn't break the bank. We arrived here at 8pm on a Monday night and were seated immediately. After ordering, it took quite a while to get our food to the table but it seemed like only 2 people ran the store. A salad and bread are given to everyone as a starter. The salad is refreshing and light, featuring mint and cucumbers and a light balsamic. It's a great way to start off the meal. We ordered a fish, a lamb, and a chicken plate. Each came with rice, bread, and pickled vegetables. Everything was delicious! The chicken was definitely my favorite. You can tell how freshly made everything is and how good the produce they use is. Overall, this is a great option for lunch or dinner if you don't mind waiting longer to get your food.

mezze platter for 2

We loved our meal here. The place itself is super cute and inviting inside. It's tucked away in a side ally, so it's a quiter place which we enjoyed. We split the mezze platter for 2 and it was more than enough food. All of it was absolutely delicious. I also ordered the homemade lemonade and it was fantastic. Our waiter was very attentive and kind. A very great experience here.

If you're in London and in the Soho ares this is a must try middle astern Lebanese family restaurant. Service is amazing and the place is really clean and easy to find on yelp and google maps. Food was made fresh in house and as tasty as you'd expect. Must try the Lebanese strong coffee before you leave to give you some boost to walk :) Definitely recommended

Absolutely love this place!! the tabouli is amazing and with the combination of the grilled chicken it was delicious!! A very cute & cozy place and not a whole lot of seating. People get turned away, so make a reservation or go early. I've never been to Lebanon, but here it felt as if I was there and I had walked into grandmas home and received some homemade cooking!

A bajillion kinds of baklava - pistachio, walnut, pine nut, etc.

Beirut Street Food? What? I randomly walked by this place recently when it was closed on a bank holiday and had to go back to check out the food. I'm happy to report that this tiny hidden gem on Green's Court in Soho is fantastic! It's a small sit down cafe with cute wooden tables and pillows made out of middle eastern scarves turned hipster fashion signature turned cafe decoration. They've got a counter filled with seriously droolworthy snacks and desserts, from multiple kinds of baklava to a selection of meat, spinach, or cheese pastries, to some incredible looking tarts like fig, apple cinnamon, and rosemary. Then they've got a kitchen hidden somewhere that turns out fabulous hot dishes at great prices. We sat right next to the counter, where the smell of the desserts was overwhelmingly delicious. I think i basically stuck my face in them to inhale the scent, so my apologies if you get a nose print in your pastry next time. We ordered a bunch of different things whose names I can't remember - a really fresh, lemony, zesty salad of greens and crunchy pita chips , a spinach pastry, a kibbe appetizer of small chunks of lamb, and a fantastic slow cooked lamb casserole with rice where you could cut the meat with a fork. Yum. I also had a big pot of mint tea and they brought ample warmed pitas to dip in the olive oil they have bottled on every table. We chatted with the owners, who let me try a baklava for free. They just opened and will hopefully soon have a liquor license as well as tables outside. They're super nice and the food is fantastic. I will definitely be going back soon to try everything else on the menu. Best of all, we were stuffed with the four dishes and the grand total was under 20 pounds. You can pop in for a sit-down meal or grab a tasty snack to go. Beirut street food...who knew?

Cozy and romantic place in Soho, great for a dinner date. Very popular as well. Went there on a Saturday night and it was packed. Not too noisy, though. The food is Beirut street food, I wish I could have tasted the whole menu. A lot of kafta and shawarma, but also other exciting things. I had a slow cooked lamb stew which name I will never remember. You'll know it when you see the menu. Very nice with a tomato/bell pepper sauce. The staff is busy but very friendly.

Unfortunately, it seems like all the reservations are for counter seating. It was fine though, since we were able to watch them grill all the kababs in their coal-fired grill! Kept it straightforward and ordered the Feast Menu, which is £55 pp. Comes with two types of bread in Taftoon and Sangak, four starters (Mirza Ghasemi, Mast O Khiar, Hummus, and Black Truffle Olivieh), two kababs (we chose the Koobideh Kebab and Jujeh Kebab), and three sides (Shirazi, Torshi Phel Phel, and House Rice). I've never had Persian cuisine on this level as all the dishes were very unique. Even the hummus tasted like hummus I've never had before. I would say that the Jujeh Kebab took me by surprise because I don't expect white meat chicken to be very good, but this was genuinely great! Service was fine, although nothing to rave about. We were handed our bread and starters pretty quickly, but the kebabs took 25 minutes for us to get. I don't know if that was an intentional decision to space out the starters from the kababs. Since we could see that they were cranking out many kababs, maybe that was an intentional decision. I don't know. Ambience is fine. Hard to feel the ambience when we were sitting at the counter rather than an actual table. Overall, I can see why my friends love Berenjak, because everything was absolutely delicious! Worth the visit.

Stunning meal! Went in a party of 8 and so we got "the feast". It was a feast, indeed. Came out in…read more2 big sharing courses. First we had bread and dips and the flavors here were outstanding. It was very hard to stop myself from eating to bursting in this course, just knowing the main was still to come. Every dip was so good, but my favorite might have been the hummus. Unlike any other hummus I've ever tried - much thicker, really highlighting the chickpea with other nutty bits and seeds mixed in. For the main, we each chose one kebab per person, and since we had so many of us, we really had coverage of every single one they had to offer. Instead of serving the one kebab ordered in front of the person, this was served on sharing platters as well, which was perfect! These were huge and we had so much meat that everybody got to try all the kebabs. So juicy, perfectly seasoned and grilled. This course was served with more bread, rice, and bright crunchy salads with enough acid to cut the fatty meat. Plus leftover dips from the first course. Overall a delightful, rowdy, elbow to elbow and heavily laden table meal! Would highlight recommend. Sounds like reservations are hard to come by and recommend booking far in advance!
