Wonderful meal here! Very friendly staff and delicious food. They were busy early evening and we had a 20 minute wait. It was a perfect evening to sit outside and people watch in this nice neighborhood.

Fatoush salad. It's better than the one you may have had elsewhere.

Authentic. Warm feeling inside. Fatoush salad is by far the best I have had. So fresh, so filling. Hummus with warmed pita like bread. Again so fresh with pine nuts and olive oil. So smooth and good. Falafel. Consistency was different and superior so what I had previously. Stellar. As good as middle eastern food gets.

Oh.My.God. A friend of mine recommended this restaurant by calling it "the best Lebanese restaurant in Europe." I went thinking it'll be only ok. I was wrong. So very wrong. The food here is delicious. The sambousek (called Borak on their menu) was cheesy enough. The kebbe was amazing. The shankleesh was great. The arayis were so good we ordered more. For mains, we had Kharouf mahshi. The rice was so amazing, as was the meat. This restaurant is so good, I might just go to London every time I have a case of the home sickness. I really can't stress enough how much I loved this meal. The staff were so friendly, they gave us baklawa on the house. So recommended. Do it.

Beautiful meat at fairuz, my favourite lebanese restaurant

Excellent food and the tastes have never changed. Fairuz is my favourite Lebanese restaurant. They started 18 years ago and they have been keeping their quality ever since. It is truly the finest Lebanese food you will ever taste. I would recommend the grill because the meat is well marinated, well done and tastes wonderful. They also have a good selection of vegetables-based meal such as falafel, musakaa and grilles aubergine salad. They all taste delicious and melt into your mouth. Hummus, yoghurt dip and bread are must order and it all work perfectly with the grill and vegetable dishes. I would also recommend borak which is a fried pastry with halloumi cheese and parsley filling. It is like a Lebanese dumpling and tastes so good! I had mango juice which was also very nice and I love the people and atmosphere at this place. It really feels like you are being served by local people at their own house. I will definitely come back for more food!

As seen from Daylesford Farm across the street. Another gem, and on the lighter side.

Turned away when I walked up solo at 2:30 on a Friday. Plenty of tables told to come back in 30 min.

Delicious lamb knuckle. Service was a bit brusque on the busy night that we went.

Okay Lebanese food, but with a thousand maroush branches around the corner i would highly recommend choosing them over this

Maybe my friend over-sold it and got my expectations up too high, because I was pretty disappointed in this dinner. We were asked if we wanted still or sparkling water. We said still and were brought out a £4.50 bottle. I know it's common to charge for water in Europe, so I didn't think much about it until I noticed that everyone else around us had refillable glass bottles -- free tap water that we were never even told was an option. We were seated downstairs at a large communal table. I don't necessarily mind that, but it was so loud that having a conversation was very difficult. My cocktail was delicious, but so tiny. The wine list was decent -- a good mix of options at various price points. As for the food, it was very hit or miss. The mushroom starter and the pork main dish were delicious. Unfortunately, the two most expensive dishes were disappointing. The prawns had great flavor, but a strangely soft, mushy texture. For me, the flavor made the weird texture okay, but my husband couldn't get over the mushiness of the shrimp and hated this dish. The sea bream was very bland and dry -- highly disappointing for the most expensive item on the menu. We ended on a high note with the affogato dessert (Yum!), but for such an expensive meal, there were just a few too many misses for us.

I'd come with a good crew to enjoy a range of dishes. The beauty's in the sharing…read more Bathrooms are unsettlingly mirrored. Kind of fun, check it out.
