As you might be able to tell from my waistline, I'm a kebab fan. Always have been, ever since my German exchange partner took me to my first kebab shop while in Germany and advertised it as a "meat sandwich with onions" because he wasn't sure how to explain it in English.
Since then I've tried a whole variety of kebabs, and have come to recognise the differences between the spicing, particularly in doner kebabs. This is where Lazo Kebabs comes in - we've been trying to find a decent place to do delivery kebabs and tried Lazo on Just Eat. Ever since that first time, we're converts to this one restaurant that appears really unassuming from the outside.
The reason why? Everything seems home made. From the tasty garlic sauce that no where else seems to have, to the obviously handcrafted koftas that my wife loves. Then there's the doner - the spicing is different to anywhere else I've tried it, but it works really well, especially with that lovingly crafted garlic sauce.
They're now our number one choice for ordering kebabs, which considering that we live opposite a kebab shop ourselves is quite a big deal! :) read more
