Food is okay but the staff not to sure about as they are not very diverse or friendly especially towards Kurdish people. I went to Cappadocia thinking it was an italian restaurant considering the name. However it is infact a turkish restaurant serving nothing but turkish food. In all honesty, Cappadocia was one of the wors restaurants I have been to. I went during the day, there was no other visitors there except for me and my friend and the food still took 2 hours to prepare. I have a theory, I believe that if you are to eat certain food like turkish, persian, chinese, mexican and so forth you should always try the basics. If the restaurant prepares a bad basic dish then the other dishes are not worth trying. I tried the Doner kebab which is one of the basic turkish dishes. To me this doner kebab was more like salt kebab. My friend who ordered chicken kebab found that her food was over salted aswell. I definitely do not recommend Cappadocia during day time. This Turkish restaurant is hard to miss as it is right across the road from Kingston railway station entrance. The beneficial location explains its popularity. We went into Cappadocia on a Friday evening for dinner and good thing we booked a table for four of us in advance as the place gets quite busy. It's a great place for small to medium groups to celebrate events. While we were there, two different groups had a birthday celebration and the waiting staff did a 'cake bringing ceremony' accompanied by corresponding music. The waiting staff is nice and able to give advice on the dishes if you are indecisive what to choose. It did not take long for the food to arrive even though the place was full. We started with a hot meze plate for 4 which consisted of Sigara Borek, Lambs Liver, Filibe Kofte, Halloumi Cheese, Falafel & Sucuk. Sigara Borek was my favourite of all the mezes, cigar shaped pastry made with feta cheese. For the mains I went for authentic turkish cuisine dish Kuzu Incik which is a shank of lamb slowly cooked in an oven topped with aubergin and served together with salad and bulgur. The meat was tender and I would recommend trying the dish once. As usual in some Mediterranean restaurants, turkish delight is brought together with the bill in order to make your evening sweeter. read more

Always excellent food and service, although be aware that the prices are sadly starting to rise. The kebabs (lamb doner) are consistently good quality, whether served in the restaurant or taken away, and the home made chilli sauce is delicious, containing celery and all sorts of tasty veg in a pretty spicy sauce (it is supposed to be chilli sauce after all!) The Lahmacun is up there with the best I've tasted and the spicy Albanian lambs liver (arnavut cigeri) is a must try, if you like liver of course. Occasionally fellow diners have suggested that the chicken kebab (the chunks, not the doner/shawarma) can be a little dry and I've also heard that the flaming pot dish is a bit of a disappointment. However I can't confirm the latter. Thursdays (or whichever day has the belly dancing now) is very noisy, so be aware of that. I believe they now also open on Tuesdays, so the Yelp info is a little out of date. Well worth a visit. I've become a repeat customer since the early days and have always enjoyed it. I just hope, and it's my only real criticism, that they don't get greedy and exceed their price point. Enjoy! read more

Kingston has a lot of restaurants, but not too many good ones. Cappadocia is one of the exceptions in this area, although I'd recommend this place only if you have a fair amount of time to spare. We ordered the hot mezze plate to share and a main each: a Cappadocia salad, roasted mix vegetables (under the authentic cuisine section) and a 14 oz. grilled steak, and found it was far too much for us, and ended up packing one third of the food home. All in all, the food was delicious, with the arbavut cigeri (sauted lamb's liver) and muska borek (traditional Turkish filo pastry filled with cheese) and the roasted mix vegetables with a tasty spinach and cheese sauce as stand-outs. The price was pretty decent as well, coming up to under £20 per person. My only quibble - and I've already mentioned it - is that our lunch took close to two hours. I know it's because the food is freshly prepared, but not everyone has that amount of time to spare! read more

You can't miss Cappadoccia when you're in the vicinity of Fife Road or crossing the road from the station. Typical charcoal-grill aromas assail the nostrils and transport you to warmer climes. Popular for both eat-in and take-out kebabs and mezze; I can't personally vouch for the quality of their meat dishes although my companion commented that his skewers were good, if not remarkable. My grilled prawns were tasty and fresh. If you want to add to the authentic Turkish experience (and you appreciate the taste of aniseed) enhance your meal with a glass of raki. Food is always pretty good. Feel the starters are better than the mains. You must try the cold mezze! Service is pretty hit and miss. Can be charming, but went in there as a younger group of people later in the evening and the first thing they said when we walked through the door was "You're late!". We had actually made the effort already to call ahead and say we would be a bit late. Kebabs can be a bit dry so I'd make sure you ask for some sauces. read more

We love eating here and it's our favourite place to eat. The food is fresh and well prepared. The serving staff are well mannered and have menu knowledge. All speak Turkish, which pleases my other half no end. The restaurant is small but over flowing with ambience. Tables should be booked to avoid disapointment. We have a monthly blow out for about £100 - with wine. We often take friends as we know we will be happy with the service and delicious Meze. read more

Being based in Kingston and having tried a lot of restaurants in the area , I can say this is one of the most overstated and overpriced. I'm glad a second Turkish restaurant has opened near by as they need to be challenged. From one major experience here with 10 work colleagues, we decided given the money we spent, received neither quality in food or service. The front of house manager has had clearly no cultural training in dealing with customers, and you could also see tension between kitchen staff and front of house staff. Customers are meant to feel like family and honoured to come back, clearly in this eatery they have no concept of building relationships with customers and only view people as numbers. Would not recommend cappadoccia for neither food or service. Will happily try the new Istanbul which has opened to change my opinion on Turkish resteraunts. read more

Top notch Chefs special which was the most important point of eating out.. not how the place is decorated as some seem to think.. if you want a native Turkish feel then you need to go uptown.. as far as I feel this is a well laid out Restaurant in a modern design with a take away area away from the main seating which is a godsend on busy weekends the food was good and the staff friendly at just £63.00 for 2 we had a bottle of excellent Chilean Ladera Verde Merlot which was surprisingly fruity and was a delight with the 'Testi' Fillet Beef Chef's special.. 'flamed' to the plate. also plenty of cheese Garlic Bread and a selection of Turkish Sweets and coffee.. well worth the cost and well worth another visit. read more

A good kebab from this place almost opposite Kingston station. My mates and I regularly have a Doner or a Shish from there. The restaurant part also looks nice although we have never been in there. The medium kebab is adequate for my appetite though there is a large size as well. read more

After a not very promising start ('can you come back, we're not ready' at noon- 'no, we're with two small kids, we can't) things got much better. A lovely break from the usual suspects in Kingston, with the cooking on display (always a good thing) we enjoyed the mixed meze platters greatly.
