Monday night in a early 2000's decor restaurant set for a business conference crowd. Not the manor house feel you are looking for. This restaurant is for stranded guests whom either do not have a car or are not familiar with the surroundings. For what it is, it is a fine restaurant. Offered as a gift from the chef was a spectacular peach and tomato based gazpacho. The egg told appetizer is the most outstanding item. The beef filet is a nice dish, but the star of this show is the brisket. The lamb was good. The sides are only remarkable because they lack flavor, but have a nice presentation. The lemon curd parfait is refreshing for a warm summer day. It has a slight bitter taste, but the iced lemon on top is cool.
For a convention hotel restaurant, the food is acceptable and pleasing at times. The waiter was a bit cold and the chef pompous, which tainted the review of this above average restaurant.

......and the saga continues for breakfast......
Ordered breakfast at 9:30 with difficulty, we spoke English and our waiter had immense difficulty understanding us even after pointing to the items on the menu. After asking multiple times, our food was finally served....very cold. We ordered waffles with a side of street bacon (not difficult or time consuming to prepare). The waitstaff is constantly running around, but no one seems to know what they are doing. The people at the table next to us were seated before we arrived and asked to borrow our menu because she waitress never gave them one and then they had to go up to the waitstaff and basically beg to order food. Some people just gave up ordering or waiting on their food and left. Not the way to run a restaurant. read more
