I asked my oncologist at Fred Hutch and she told me to please right away go to the nearest Urgent Care and get the infection confirmed (in case there was a problem with a home test) and get treatment, since I am high risk. I drove to the Swedish Edmonds Urgent Care. I walked in at about 2:40 p.m. on March 5th, 2026 and spoke with a woman working at the window who had long dark hair pulled back in a ponytail. I said to her, I have stage 4 cancer and took a covid test that came back positive and my oncologist would like me to get that confirmed and to get treatment, because I'm high risk. The woman responded flatly, "We don't do that here, just give a covid test." She asked no questions and didn't talk beyond the denial. I then explained that I'd used a home test, so my oncologist would like me to confirm with an Urgent Care test and get treated, likely with Paxlovid. The lady repeated that they don't do that there, and they don't just give Paxlovid. She went on to say kurtly that they treat people with symptoms, they don't provide tests. The desk gal didn't even bother to ask me why I'd given myself the covid test or all me any questions at all! People usually take a home test because they aren't feeling well. Instead of being courteous she just went directly to the negative, "We don't do that here." Then in a disinterested tone, she said, "If you want to, you can sit over there and wait to talk to someone about symptoms." I told her never mind, because I needed to also confirm the Covid test results and if they couldn't do that I'd just go somewhere else - maybe an urgent care that is willing to help a high risk person with stage 4 cancer and Covid! This cold dismissive woman heard me twice say I am stage 4 and that my oncologist wanted me to come in to confirm the Covid test results and be treated, yet still she still offered no help whatsoever and very few words at all in addressing my request. Avoid this place, it is not urgent care because it doesn't care, period.

After calling my primary care facility, I was urged to head to Swedish Edmonds Urgent Care for evaluation. I want to thank the staff onsite for making this as straightforward, transparent, professional, and expedient as possible during a stressful time. From the front desk check-in person, person who placed me in exam room, person who took my info, vitals, offered water & attached an immobilzer at the end, person who provided a garment to change into & a warm blanket, the person who took three Xrays, the PA who evaluated me, and the security guard who assisted with return of the wheelchair. Collectively, all of the staff that we interacted with and provided care from start to finish was a positive experience. It is important to have ID and medical insurance card upon check-in. Nect steps information and a printout of one's visit are also provided. This was my first time to be referred and evaulated at Swedish Edmonds Urgent Care. I appreciate the care received and that they are easily accessible from Hwy 99.

The details for those who want them: I recently purchased a Dealfind Voucher for Purely Skin Medical, Dr, Keith Ly's clinic, that was for "1 Year of Unlimited Laser Hair Removal Sessions on 3 Body Parts." The voucher went on to specify that "The following count as 1 individual body part: chin, lip, front of neck, underarms, hands, feet, abdomen line, or bikini line. The following counts as 2 individual body parts: Brazilian bikini, lower legs, or forearms." So I called to make my appointment to have my lower legs (2 body parts) and underarms (1 body part, equaling the 3 body parts allowed total) done. First they tried telling me that I had to purchase 2 vouchers to get the lower legs done. Um, that's absolutely NOT what the voucher says. We went back and forth on this. Then they tried telling me my voucher had expired, even though it does not expire until June 2013. Finally, as a compromise, they tried offering me 6 treatments on my lower legs only. All of this was per Dr. Keith Ly himself, so I reviewed his Yelp! page as well. I purchased a voucher that would allow unlimited treatments on my lower legs and underarms, why would I accept less?? You would think someone of the medical profession would have a little more integrity than to stoop to this level. It really makes me question his skill and professionalism if he is so blatantly dishonest. Here's a link to the exact voucher I purchased: http://www.dealfind.com/seattle/purelyskinmedical3 Yes I do plan to contact the Attorney General and the Health Department. I recommend you do the same when you encounter businesses that ignore written agreements and flout the law.

I was told I needed approval from my claims manager. False. I was told that they would contact her and put a urgent request. I finally called my claims manager and she had no contact from them. It has been 2 months since my ribs were broken. I didn't want to but it's time to get a lawyer involved! So sad they lost any compassion for people that have never experienced this injury.
