I am writing to share a deeply disturbing experience I had with Dan Morlan, ND. I understand that he is no longer affiliated with Purity Integrative Health; however, I feel it is important to speak about what happened in order to find closure. I underwent a mild HBOT treatment with him and completed four sessions. I felt significantly worse afterward and was never given a proper explanation as to why the treatment did not work or why my symptoms worsened. I believe I lost a meaningful portion of my quality of life as a result of what I consider a faulty or inappropriate treatment. After these sessions, the clinic stopped responding to my phone calls and emails. This lack of communication was distressing and left me feeling abandoned. I am reaching out in the hope that Purity Integrative Health can help me find clarity, accountability, and closure. The holistic health industry is not simply about positive marketing or appearances--it involves real responsibility. Dr. Dan Morlan also stopped responding to my emails when I attempted to discuss my concerns. Too often, individuals avoid accountability for problems they helped create, and unfortunately, this is not uncommon in medicine. At the time, I considered letting the matter go. However, I now suffer from ongoing and severe brain fog, which I strongly associate with those treatments. No amount of positive or misleading reviews can negate my lived experience. Beware - their billing department needs to get it together. I have received multiple bills from this establishment over a year late. I received a bill, that I had already paid, two years beyond the service date. I went back and forth with them for quite some time and eventually, they agreed to drop the duplicate bill. However, I don't think I should have to defend myself against payments I've already made. I would expect that the billing department be capable of keeping track of payments if this was a professional establishment. I received another bill on Friday for services from June of last year - well I tell you what, I've never received a bill for these services until now, and they had the nerve to charge me a late fee. It makes me wonder if they are really doing so poorly that they have to send bills years late to cash out on late fees? Do they need the extra $10 that desperately? I have requested a copy of the invoice number and date of the last invoice sent to me and we will see what they say. Overall, the service I received at the old location was good. The new location, I was disappointed, My bill says that I am no longer welcome back, for not paying the bill, that they didn't send me until a full year had passed. Unbelievable. RUN! read more

This is the finest family owned Naturopathic physicians office I have ever experienced. Caring doctors and a dog friendly office. The staff does everything they could possibly do to care for and treat patients from blood testing to doctor prescribed treatment programs specifically designed for each and every individual who enters the facility. It was established and grounded in Mill Creek, WA for the first twelve years. During the pandemic served the public relentlessly and expanded into a second office in Kalispell, MT and opened a new wellness center in South Everett and continues to grow with physicians , medical massage therapy and specifically trained professionals in Integrative Care, including referrals to chiropractic and acupuncture as part of an extensive team. I have been helped by Dr. Young, Dr. Morlan and Dr. Fitzpatrick as well as extra work done last summer by the newest doctor, Elizabeth Day. Thank you, Purity Health. read more

I loved my practitioners here, but ultimately needed to take a break because the billing was such a hot mess. I pay my invoices immediately and suddenly got 'overdue' notices for large amounts and dates I never even went to the office. I took two years off, and returned because I missed the doctor so much and now I find myself in the same situation - they just can't get their finances straight and now I'm left to figure it out. Awful administrative issues which is a shame because otherwise they'd have a great business. If you choose to go here, keep close track of your appointments and payments - they can't seem to do that and you'll find yourself in a huge mess. Any Fitspatrick is my Health Care ProviderZ she is awesome! She is super helpful and kind. The girls at the front desk are quirky and fun. They are also super professional. Love them! They work so hard and explain all my silly questions and I'm super grateful for their patience with me! I also see 4 other providers in the same building g because they are all awesome and it's convenient. Before you see anyone at Purity, please read the reviews regarding their terrible organization and billing processes. I, too, had a similar experience. I was billed out of the blue in 2018 for services received in 2016 - which I paid for. I was threatened repeatedly with collections for $4.16 and $133.32 - which I just ended up paying to get them off my back. Truly the worst. At the time, the practice was going through a transition with practitioners- which no one bothered to tell me. And apparently they were struggling with their billing as well. Many times, I had an appointment at one location only to find that the practitioner was at the other location and they were so unorganized, I was never notified and I was told "just drive over to the other location". Glad they solved that problem - but it was really mind-boggling. I would not recommend Purity to anyone. You may receive "surprise" bills two or three years after your services and then you'll be threatened with collections. Terrible way to run a business. read more

I use to go purity health in Mill Creek, when the mask mandate last June came off they quit wearing mask. Even know it's a medical facility, I stated my concern then and choose not to go. I still picked up salmon oil they had. went in a to there new office. Run down dark and dreary wasn't impressed at all, picked up my salmon oil and the receptionist who is very sweet and kind we had a long talk about mask. She said it's mandate and they all wear mask now including the patient'. I decided to give them another change. Came in for my appointment and a customer wasn't wearing a mask was drinking tea. She was asked politely by the receptionist to put one on. She said no she drinking her tea. I politely said. I'm immune compromised, I also have my mother that lives with me that has Dementia and a child not vaccinated yet. She said no I'm drinking tea. The doctor came out rudely asked me WHAT WAS MY PROBLEM. I stated my concerns said I get monthly infusions that brings my immune system down and explained about my family that lives with me. The doctor said sorry I can't make her. I said I was here 2 weeks ago and I was told you forced the mask mandate. I use to come here 7 months ago then quite because you all decided not to wear mask. (Doctors, Receptionist some patients) and I couldn't risk my health. The terrible selfish woman again said sorry drinking my tea. The doctor said there nothing more we can discuss Or do for you. i think we're done here .. I canceled my appointment and said I will never come back, the doctor said okay. I said and I know I shouldn't of I was so so upset. Fuck you now was there something she could of done. Maybe either put that rude selfish woman in a room, or she also could of put me in a room. I wish there were a zero star to rate this business. I got two accupunctures with them last year and just got the bill around August this year with the yellow warning sign, that asked me to pay in full because my insurance did not pay. I called my insurance and they said they were waiting for my primary insurance. They did not submit the claim to the primary insurance, and didn't let me know or bill my right away. I asked them to resubmitt the claim to my primary insurance, but they told me it was passed one year and they would not pay. I called my insurance again and they said even though it passed one year, they still have to submit the claim. The billing people ( a rude person to talk to) again didn't want to resubmit the claim. I got to resubmit the claim to my insurance on my own and they gave me an EOB. I went to Purity and paid whatever the insurance asked me to pay. Now Purity told me I got to pay the full amount because they are not in network! ( This is an acceptable because the receptionist told me they accepted my insurance- which I assumed that they were in network.) I am not happy with the way they bill me. Why do they wait for a year to send me a bill? How come they told me they accepted my insurance and then later said my insurance was not in network? I am in Mill Creek and used my facebook to review, but I don't know how to edit the location. They said I am in California but I am not. Please ignore the CA location. I have been a patient of Dr. Young's since 2015 and prior to that had seen several other naturopath's. No one compares to Dr. Young! I have a very complex medical history and she has worked with me every step of the way. She is extremely thorough and compassionate and you never feel rushed with her. I also appreciate that Purity offers acupuncture and is also able to draw labs on site. Some others have posted negative reviews about billing but in the last 4 years that I have been a patient here I have never had an issue with billing. Dr. St. Claire is amazing! She is our primary care doc for the whole family. She is great with the kids and they love her. She respects or decision on immunization and is always open for discussion. This clinic has the absolute worst billing and organizing system I've ever experienced. I paid my bills and spoken to the billing department to make sure my debts are settled as I do not want any more harassment. Now 4 months after what I thought was my final communication with them they are again sending me bills. I paid for ALL of my services, repeatedly verified I was paid in full and they keep finding "new" bills. I have spoken to other specialists in this field and they have verified that Purity has a billing issue and they do not seem to understand how this impacts a persons health and well being. I have not been to Purity in over a 20 months and I would never recommend them. I just received what I hope to be my final communication from Purity with a bright red note stating they do not wish to treat me anymore and if I don't pay my bill of $12.00 from services dates 1-17 they will send me to collections. Again this is after I have contacted them numerous times requesting all final bills so I can settle up. This is the first time I've received this bill, I have no idea how they can feel proud of the way they treat former patients. Bad Form! Update 8-30-18 I'm still getting new bills (as in bills I did not know about) 20 months after leaving Purity. The Billing is extremely confusing. I received a big red bill stating I am not paying my bill of $12.00? WTF this is the first time I have received this bill. It seems the billing system at Purity is like when you have an old coat in your closet that you haven't worn in 2 years and you reach in the pocket and find money. I guess the patients are the pocket that the endless stream of money is supposed to come from. Oh look, I can bill this patient for this from 2 years ago, that somehow we forgot to send the bill? I have been going to this clinic since December of last year. Dr. Rhian Young, ND is knowledgeable and has helped me get through some serious health scares. She has tweaked my supplement regime and I have been able to treat my disease through diet and supplements. Best of all she practices what she preaches and genuinely cares for her patients. I see Sue Yang-Eng for acupuncture. Sue is warm, sincere, and very talented. She is always adapting her treatments to better fit my individual needs. She goes out of her way to research my specific illness and new treatments. I am cannot recommend her enough. Her treatments have improved my quality of life drastically. Wendy manages the front desk. She is bright, informative, and incredibly helpful. She will go completely out her way to assist you with any insurance questions that you may have. Since starting treatment at Purity; I have been able to ween myself off the horrific medications I have had to take in the past. I am no longer on bed rest, my hair is finally starting growing back and I am able to work again. I am very grateful. read more

I started as a patient at Purity last year after switching over from the Everett Clinic from a "conventional" doctor. I was looking to be more proactive with my health, and I felt like being under the care of a naturopathic doctor was the right choice for me. Dr. St. Claire is my health provider at Purity, and I really love her demeanor. She's personable, thorough, and thoughtful. Our first consult last year lasted about 20 minutes where we just discussed the type of care I was looking for. We followed that up with a first health visit. She's run a series of blood tests on me over the last year, specifically because I am on HRT due to past ovarian cancer. She was able to notice the medication I was previously proscribed kept my estrogen hormone at a much higher level, so we found a new medication that brought it back to a safe/healthy level. She's also found through testing that I have hypothyroidism and has me on a medication that is helping that stay at a healthy level as well. She's also suggested supplements for me to help me be the healthiest I can be, and I really am so grateful that she's helping me optimize my health. I was a little bit skeptical about naturopathic medicine only because I've heard stories about "weird" and "alternative" medicines and therapies, but make no mistake that Dr. St. Claire is an excellent balance between traditional and naturopathic medicine. She really takes my health as a whole into consideration, rather than a conventional medicine doctor prescribing to treat a symptom. I've recently had to look into MTHFR testing due to being a possible carrier of the BRCA1/BRCA2 gene mutation and Dr. St. Claire has helped arrange the kit testing via email, without me having to go into the office to have an office visit. I really appreciate this flexibility because it's not always convenient to take time off work for just a short office visit. I love working with Dr. St. Claire and Purity, and I am so glad to have found them! I can't recommend them highly enough! read more

I went to Purity after an auto accident in January 2017. After running through my PIP and charging my private insurance, a lien was put on my settlement. In Sept. 2017, I was told "it was the best I was going to feel" and stopped receiving services from them. I received my "final" bill for $15.00 which I paid (the charge on the bill was for chiropractic care). Months later, I began receiving bills ranging from a few hundred dollars up to $7500! When my attorney looked into it, Purity had failed to submit claims to my insurance on time. They responded acting like they were doing me a favor by adjusting the bill. IF YOU ARE GOING TO GET A SETTLEMENT, BE AWARE! What they did to me was to not submit bills to my private insurance since there are limits on what they can be paid. By "bypassing" my insurance, they could charge whatever they wanted. One charge on my bill was $75.00 for "Personal Training". When I questioned this, I was told that it was for some stretches that the chiropractor showed me during my adjustment. SERIOUSLY?! A $75 charge to look up a couple of stretches on Google?! Fast forward to May 2020, I receive a lien for $2500 for the care in 2017! The documentation for the lien was my name on the bill, but someone else's notice of lien. That means that they sent me someone else's personal information! I have this man's name, address, phone number, and medical information! HOW UNETHICAL AND UNPROFESSIONAL IS THAT?! And I can assume that someone else has my information! Purity then had the gall to send my "bill" to collections. SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE, TIME AND MONEY TRYING TO PROTECT YOURSELF FROM THEM!!! Besides all of the shady and despicable billing practices, the care here is mediocre at best. Dr. Young has no problem writing prescriptions for patients (like me!) that she has never even seen! The "best I was going to get" opinion that I got from them couldn't be further from the truth! After believing them and continuing to suffer for several months, I went to see a different practitioner. Purity never did follow up X-rays and I don't even know if they reviewed the ones that I had had done at the beginning of my care. My new practitioner did X-rays and saw that I indeed still had correctable damage. After seeing him for a few months, I was feeling remarkably better! Funny how my "best condition" with Purity was done without any actual scientific data! From the care to the billing, Purity and Dr. Young run a predatory and vile business. THIS IS THE WORST CLINIC IN THE PNW. Rhian Young is the farthest thing from a doctor, Her bedside manner is rough and unprofessional. She doesn't know very much of "her medicine" as she regularly prescribes pharmaceuticals to treat her patients instead of nutraceuticals to help prevent and manage their health, but this might be partly due to the clinic manager, Wendy. Wendy regularly doesn't order the nutraceuticals that are for patients health, then when you call to find out if they are in yet she is rude and condescending. She actually told me to go to another place to find my medication I had been waiting for at this point two weeks. does this clinic not realize that they are a "Medical facility" I use the term loosely. If people don't get there supplements for treatment they could have health repercussions? I would also like to point out that most of her five start reviews her are done by her staff to try to keep a high rating while treating patients badly. If you choose to come to this clinic I would NEVER see Rhian Young. I would gladly see the other practitioners however she also treats them so badly that there is a revolving door so you will be tossed about the clinic. I would also like to say that they never once followed any of the mandates put on by the Government and continue to not follow ANY OF CMS REQUIREMENTS. They do accept medicaid so they then should have to follow these mandates to be in-compliance with them. However Rhian Young thinks she is above all of this. I would be very wary of this clinic. She is only concerned with having practitioners work for her money so she can take as many vacations as possible with working the bare-minimum. I've heard this from the practitioners I have been tossed to and from. In short beware and if you do go here I would see anyone except for the Practice Owner, again I use that term loosely as well. read more

6 years ago, I gave up on traditional western medicine and came to Dr. Rhian Young with a list of health issues. Having worked in the medical field myself, I was surprised at a couple of the tests she chose to run but I went with it. She ended up uncovering a medical mystery and the very simple, natural and food/supplement based treatment of that condition has changed my life for the better. I'm so thankful for her guidance and knowledge. I always know she is going to approach my health with thoughtful ears and I find it interesting to hear what's "new" as she tends to stay up to date with medical research and cutting edge therapies or supplements in addition to the more traditional and time tested naturopathic pathways. I've utilized chiropractic, massage, esthetic (skin care) and acupuncture services here and continue to be close with those providers. Purity chooses only the best to join their team! I've been seeing Dr. Young (penny creek location) for about 2 years now. I have been so grateful to finally find a doctor I can trust and who deeply cares for my health. Previously, I relied on multiple doctors: dermatologist, psychiatrist , MD (you name it), and I never got the answers or knowledge with my health. Dr. Young is far more knowledgeable and thorough in the way she practices medicine. She addresses root causes, and how to FIX the problem.. not cover it up. Since seeing Dr. Young I now feel equipped to be healthier, mind and body. If you're tired of not having the answers and exhausted by your quest for finding an alternative.. you MUST see one of the doctors on staff at Purity. (Penny Creek Location). After an inquiry via the internet, I received a call to come in for a "Meet &Greet". After driving over there and having a initial meeting with one of the "ND's", I was interested in pursuing this. Unfortunately, at the end of the session, the office staff determined that my Insurance would not cover treatment (TRICARE) . Then I was offered a discount rate for cash which was beyond my budget. The entire experience was rendered a waste of my time and fuel. It would be best if the office staff would advise potential patients concerning "Insurance Issues" over the phone prior to having them come in. read more

Dr. Young I'm sorry but you are just wrong. Read other reviews regarding your billing practices. I never expected "free medical care" and find that a pretty insulting and rude comment. I did not receive "multiple letters" from your office telling me that there was even a chance of being sent to collections. When I am told that you are checking with my insurance and I don't hear back or I call the insurance and they tell me they will work with you to get this paid should I have assumed it wasn't taken care of? It wouldn't even make sense for me to double check. I made ONE phone call to my insurance immediately after getting the letter that I was sent to collections and the claim was paid within days. I also left several not so happy messages for Lori and she never got back to me. I have the dates of those phone calls as well if you'd like them. My insurance had paid my other claim to you with the same diagnosis codes100% so all I had to do was tell them that and they fixed it. Had I known your office didn't contact them or didn't make efforts to get this paid I would have called them months before I got sent to collections. I did my best to resolve this. read more

This is a review for Dr. Young (not Sue for accupuncture- she's great and deserves 5 stars). She could go a long way in having even a small amount of bedside manner. I came home after multiple appointments with her in tears. She always seemed to lead with the bad and very negative information. Not to mention that after eight months, she admitted not knowing much about the reproductive system. I went in and saw Dr. Sipress three times over the course of about three weeks and my back pain is 100% gone! I had been living with back pain off and on for years so finding quality care that didn't involve pills or surgery was important to me. Also, treatment was much more than just a quick crack like a lot of people say. I felt like I was listened to and Dr. Sipress really made sure I understood what was going on with my back pain. He even explained ways for me to avoid re-aggravating my back in the future. I would highly recommend checking them out! read more

When I first started going I had dull pain in my right hip; through exercise and regular adjustments, the pain has decreased and the numbness I felt in my leg has pretty much gone away. I have been a patient of Dr. Fitzpatrick for a while now. She is great! However brace yourself for office staff night mares . From getting someone to answer the phone, send a fax correctly, communication between owner and staff etc,etc,etc. office management seems to be a nightmare there. If you have real health issues, this is not the place for you. Dr Young is great and very thorough, but some members of the front office will not assist you in sending the labs to your specialists. The difficulty starts when you have to drive across town to get your labs done. If you are already a sick person, this will be hard to manage on a regular basis, especially if auto-immune diseases and fatigue are part of your issue. Labs should be in-house, as Dr. Young was the first one to discover my health issue, a lab would benefit the facility greatly!!!..INSTEAD, Stephanie just told me "We'll get around to making copies of your labs for the specialists when we have a moment, among all the other things we have to do". Really? Not good practice for a holistic practice. My labs are one or two pages. I practically begged them to help me out so that I wouldn't have to drive over there when they are ready and then deliver them to the specialist. Wouldn't faxing them 7 days ago, when I first asked, be so much easier for all of us, and to work in tandem?? read more

My first appointment with Dr. Gordon seemed to go well. She seemed to listen and be understanding of my situation. It wasn't until a follow up phone call that it was made clear that she's quite bigoted. She made many, many assumptions about my lifestyle, failed to clarify any of the positions she had taken up without any evidence, was defensive when I called her on these assumptions, and then promptly ignored most of what I told her before making up a care plan based on all of her original assumptions that were downright dangerous for my health. I said whatever I could to get off the phone, broke down crying, and found a new doctor. read more

Dr. Jayson did a fantastic job of not only listening to what was going on, but understanding the nature of what may be causing the injury to begin with. We discussed the "cause and effect" side of medicine and how that effects the body. What pain actually means when it hurts, and how to address it and ultimately change the way you move to help alleviate what may be causing it. After just one session the tightness, stiffness, tension, and lack of mobility was substantially decreased and I was able to move more freely than I have in quite sometime. I was shown some stretches and exercises I can do to at home assist with the re-training of the muscles in my lower back. It was a real pleasure to work with someone like Dr. Sipress, and to be listed to as the patient. read more
