I have stage 4 cancer and after not feeling well the last few days I decided to be safe and take a covid test. The test came back positive. I asked my oncologist at Fred Hutch and she told me to please right away go to the nearest Urgent Care and get the infection confirmed (in case there was a problem with a home test) and get treatment, since I am high risk. I drove to the Swedish Edmonds Urgent Care. I walked in at about 2:40 p.m. on March 5th, 2026 and spoke with a woman working at the window who had long dark hair pulled back in a ponytail. I said to her, I have stage 4 cancer and took a covid test that came back positive and my oncologist would like me to get that confirmed and to get treatment, because I'm high risk. The woman responded flatly, "We don't do that here, just give a covid test." She asked no questions and didn't talk beyond the denial. I then explained that I'd used a home test, so my oncologist would like me to confirm with an Urgent Care test and get treated, likely with Paxlovid. The lady repeated that they don't do that there, and they don't just give Paxlovid. She went on to say kurtly that they treat people with symptoms, they don't provide tests. The desk gal didn't even bother to ask me why I'd given myself the covid test or all me any questions at all! People usually take a home test because they aren't feeling well. Instead of being courteous she just went directly to the negative, "We don't do that here." Then in a disinterested tone, she said, "If you want to, you can sit over there and wait to talk to someone about symptoms." I told her never mind, because I needed to also confirm the Covid test results and if they couldn't do that I'd just go somewhere else - maybe an urgent care that is willing to help a high risk person with stage 4 cancer and Covid! This cold dismissive woman heard me twice say I am stage 4 and that my oncologist wanted me to come in to confirm the Covid test results and be treated, yet still she still offered no help whatsoever and very few words at all in addressing my request. I had a sudden situation occur while across the sound, made it home to find my mobility was greatly affected (2/17/26). After calling my primary care facility, I was urged to head to Swedish Edmonds Urgent Care for evaluation. I want to thank the staff onsite for making this as straightforward, transparent, professional, and expedient as possible during a stressful time. From the front desk check-in person, person who placed me in exam room, person who took my info, vitals, offered water & attached an immobilzer at the end, person who provided a garment to change into & a warm blanket, the person who took three Xrays, the PA who evaluated me, and the security guard who assisted with return of the wheelchair. Collectively, all of the staff that we interacted with and provided care from start to finish was a positive experience. It is important to have ID and medical insurance card upon check-in. Nect steps information and a printout of one's visit are also provided. This was my first time to be referred and evaulated at Swedish Edmonds Urgent Care. I have never experienced such a bad environment when people are coming in hurt and upset for you guys to be rude and make them feel worse. This lady should be fired. She is absolutely horrible. I've been here several times over the past few years: Covid (twice), a nasty infection in my arm, and an injury. This urgent care is " as good as it gets" . They do a good job of checking you up for things like that. Before I knew about this clinic I was in various emergency rooms (with my kids when they were growing up) and the walk in clinic on 212th. Swedish definitely does a better job of getting you checked in quickly and taking care of routine medical issues. read more

i would put 0 stars if i could, terrible service. first off, The back staff was rude.. as someone who also works in the field i found them quite unprofessional, none of the staff could draw the blood on my mom, blamed it on it "being a long day" my ass it was barely 11am, they need more competent people. and next to that, they were rude. I'm from a different state and before leaving the office in person i MADE SURE i was on the list to be able to request medical records and lab results on behalf on my mother due to the language barrier she has and i called and the lady said she couldnt find it like really?! after i MADE SURE of it and the front had confirmed with me before i left washington! next, she had elevated lab results that could've and should've been taken more seriously and they documented and charted that the doctor had already called my mom for her results when they didn't ?! we've been waiting for almost 2 weeks for them. this is ridiculous i work for an urgent care and our providers are on top of it. As soon as we get the results we give our patients a call. the staff here are just lazy and need to go back to school for a refresh course, they clearly don't know what they are doing.... I made a reservation online for 11:45 AM. Don't use it -It's a scam! I brought my granddaughter in because she had pink eye and ended up having an ear infection as well. However, we did not see the doctor until after waiting 2 hours. She saw us for five minutes and then gave us a note for Kindercare stating when she could go back to daycare. It took her another 30 minutes to get the note and prescriptions to us and we were out of there after 2 1/2 hours plus. You don't keep a one year-old in room for 2 1/2 hours! When I got home, I noticed the letter which is a template, didn't have the date she could go back to Kindercare filled in, so I had to call them today to get it fixed and they won't email it to me. I have to pick it up! What a pain I don't plan on using Swedish urgent care again. read more

Went in with a sinus infection. Had a good nurse. The doctor that came in didn't really give a shit. She looked in my ears to make sure there was no ear infection then just said she would send antibiotics to my pharmacy. Didn't even feel my face or lymph nodes. I let her know I was in serious pain and was even considering going to the ER before making it to urgent care. I had to ask for a shot to bring down my inflammation. Then when I looked at the antibiotic she prescribed I had a feeling I was sensitive to it. Last time I had a sinus infection the antibiotics they give me made me puke. I called to ask if they have any medical record of the antibiotic that I was given last. The lady didn't seem to understand what I was saying and I had to keep repeating myself. She told me I was giving her attitude so she said she wouldn't help me and hung up the phone. I was a receptionist before. I know how it is. When ur in the medical field you can't make things personal. I let her know I was frustrated as it's Sunday and I can't call my primary but they should have access to my medical records. Now I can't even take this antibiotic till I know it's safe for me. This was overall a terrible experience and I hope they do better in the future. read more

went in for my infant son who is very lethargic and hot. wait times were very long, they seemed to not really show genuine concern about my boy and didn't have any answers other than just "don't stress, it's probably a virus" . they didn't really give us peace of mind about our situation. Yesterday afternoon I made an 11:45 AM appointment with Swedish Urgent Care since I had been sick for 10 days and just didn't seem to be improving. I received a text 30 minutes prior to the appointment that my time was confirmed. Quick check at the front desk and immediately taken to an exam room. A medical assistant arrived shortly thereafter and took my vitals and documented my concerns. A PA ordered swabs for strep, covid, RSV and flu along with a chest x-ray-very thorough! I tried to get into see my primary doctor after a work related injury, however they couldn't see me for a week and I was forced to go to urgent care. The staff is friendly.. I appreciate being treated well and with kindness. I waited 45 mins to be seen by a dr. They came in and got my story then ordered X-rays and left. My X-ray tech was sweet and knowledgeable. After my X-ray I was brought to my room and waited for Dr. to come back. After 30 mins I went to front desk to check in and see how much longer. I was shooed away and told to go back to my room that the X-rays get sent to another building and read by someone else and then sent back. Like what???? I just wanted to know how much longer. I came back to my room and still waiting 25 mins later for an update,. Urgent care is a joke.. I always seem to have these issues . I was so impressed with my entire experience at Swedish Urgent Care in Edmonds! After battling a stubborn cough for over a month, I went to Swedish Urgent Care on Saturday 10/20/18 as soon as it opened at 8AM. Each person I interacted with was friendly, personable, and proficient -- from the lady at the front desk who checked me in and took my insurance information, to the medical assistant who escorted me to the exam room and took my vitals, to the gentleman who did my x-rays. Dr. Kumar was absolutely wonderful. She asked questions, listened, and explained everything thoroughly and patiently. She made me feel like she cared about me as a patient even though this was the first time I'd seen her. Each part of the appointment moved along with a balance of personal attention and efficiency. As someone who only goes to the doctor as a last option, I appreciated the peace of mind and high level of care provided by Swedish Urgent Care in Edmonds. I went here because they had good reviews. I'm a medical assistant myself and I don't mention it to people because why? There's no point. When I walked in there, the front desk just stared at me and my mom. No "hi how can I help you?" They all THREE just looked. Finally I walked up to one of them and she had me fill out paper work. Just gave me a clip board asked me to fill it out. Didn't even tell me if it was one page or multiple. I thought it was multiple because there was a couple papers so I sat down and could've just filled it out there. She was asking me questions about my INJURY while I was sitting down and she was at the front desk. I went up to tell her because one, if you can't hear me please ask me to come up instead of having me repeat myself. Luckily there wasn't anyone in the waiting room but it's opened and in the exam rooms you can hear them talking so I don't doubt someone else can hear us yelling back and forth about my medical history (HIPPA) she told me I could come back and go into exam room 7. I walked myself back there looking for the exam room and she finally closed the door after finding my room. Next the MA comes in. Doesn't even introduce herself or say hi. Just says "you were in an auto accident?" While smacking and chewing her gum. Doesn't even ask about My chief complaint on my injuries. Doesn't tell me she's gonna put the pulse ox on my finger (only checks pulse and oxygen) and takes me blood pressure which I pulled out my arm out of my jacket. On the discharge papers I saw she put my temp at 97.9 great! A perfect average temp. SHE DIDNT EVEN TAKE MY TEMPERATURE AT ALL. Finally she tells me the provider should be in shortly. The PA and RT were nice. The only thing I didn't like was that the RT expected me to know how to put on the equipment and placements saying "I'm sure you've done this before" um no actually I've never had a chest X-ray in my life. I think it's important you're communicating, making eye contact, and being assertive to your patients. I wanted to leave within 10 minutes of being there. read more

I had an obviously infected thumb. I knew I was going to have to get it drained and was not looking forward to that. I came in about 4:20pm yesterday (Friday). I was greeted with a warm smile by the Medical Assistant. Amber. She brought me to a room immediately. The clinic is warm and clean. The exam room was quite large. While Amber was taking my vitals, the scheduler (probably not his title), came in to "check me in" Fortunately there isn't a co-pay for my insurance. He just needed my ID. He was friendly and the process took less than 5 minutes. Then Lindsey, the PA-C came in. I was immediately impressed with her bedside manner. She had to shoot lidocaine into my thumb so she could then drain it. While the needle hurt, she was so fast I didn't have time to freak out. Amber stayed in the room with me the whole time (I'm a huge baby) I loved their sense of humor and professionalism. I left with my thumb feeling better and Lindsey was kind enough to fax the Antibiotic order to my pharmacy. This team is amazing! I highly recommend this clinic. Just because my usual doctor that sees me when I'm at this specific facility isn't on staff I am talked to like I have zero idea about my own past appointments and treatment I requested??? Unbelievable. I am never coming here again. Seriously so unprofessional as well, could hear the doctors and nurses talking about you through the other rooms as if they don't care if they are heard. Had a great experience here last week. Came in for what was the Flu and evolved into a Bronchitis infection, bordering on the dreaded pneumonia. I literally couldn't even sit-up so I laid in the car until my hubby said they were ready. I was expecting to wait at least an hour and got in about 10 min later! We were in the room for about 10 min and the doc came through. She swabbed me for the Flu, gave me something to help me breathe and took some X-rays of my chest. I felt like they were thorough. I have a lot of health issues and they weren't dismissive of those at all. They took them into account and were extra cautious and concerned. So glad I got those inhalers because I wouldn't have been comfortable at all over the weekend! read more

My baby got sick.. the Friday before Christmas.. and it wasn't getting better. Sooooo. I finally took her in to urgent care.. on a Sunday ... It was quiet for 8 am .. the ladies that checked us in were nice and quick.. our wait time in the waiting room was like 5 mins.. my poor baby had a 104 temp and was feeling horrible.. the nice nurse man. Was informative and gentle as my baby hates the Dr.. but this guy was spot on.. the Dr that came in was empathetic and thorough.. we did some tests and was there for about 2 hours as they wanted her fever to mellow out before we left..our visit was good.. Swedish emergency room was a breeze. Nobody likes going to the ER especially not me, I went in for a tummy ache and ended up having to get emergency surgery the same day. As for swedish themselves after my treatment I went into my post op and told my doctor something was wrong and didn't feel right, he disregarded my concern and I fell ill within a week and was back at the emergency room again! Turns out I had an infection where the surgery was done internally and the ER was able to prescribe me meds, that I should of gotten at my post op with Dr. Bourn. What are doctors office for if you have to wait weeks to months to even get an apt when you have symptoms. So much about the health care system is messed up, rumor has it swedish fired a lot of doctors due to situations like this and I hope these doctors understand this is our livelihood not just a job....thank you for the amazing staff at the ER everyone there made me feel more cared for than my doctor visits after my first surgery. read more

I was too sick to drive through rush hour traffic to my doctor's office on Mercer Island for an exam, so he recommended I go immediately to Swedish Edmonds Urgent Care, which is near my home. A doctor there promptly examined and treated me with an antibiotic for the infection. The doctor called Sunday morning, 36 hours after my exam, to report lab test results. She told me, based on bacteria they revealed, she wanted to change to another antibiotic. She would send the prescription to my phramacy. The staff was kind, professional, and thorough. this place is horrible. around late march/early april this year i came here recovering from pretty bad covid-19. no fever, but really congested, and the main thing was my tonsils were EXTREMELY swollen and my throat hurt like hell. talked to a doctor and was sent home and told to "keep an eye on it". she didn't know what was going on. so of course, things got worse. went back here hoping to maybe find out what was going on with my throat, you know? talked to another doctor here, ran all the checkups, took blood tests, just for the doctor to ask what my "expectations" were for going there that day. keep in mind my tonsils were so swollen to the point where my throat was almost closed off. i could barely even talk. who would ever ask a 15 year old girl what her expectations were for going into urgent care that day when her goddamn throat is almost closed off?!? i was on the verge of blacking out in that room, the doctor just stood there looking at me like i was crazy, then prescribed me steroids which did nothing. finally decided to go to the ER where i was actually given help and answers and have recovered. dont waste your time with this place. read more

I LOVE this place. I went to a nearby walk in clinic the day before and got absolutely nowhere with a PA who wasted my time and money. My symptoms got worse the next day so I searched for a new urgent care and found Swedish Edmonds. Why I have never been here instead of driving around town I do not know, this is now my go to spot. This is true "urgent" care, for one, I didn't even sit down in the waiting room, the second I walked in they took me back and two medical assistants checked me in, one taking my vitals while the other typed my info in, so efficient and fast! There are two providers working after 9am so I was seen pretty quickly and the provider sat with me and discussed everything so thoroughly. She listened to my ideas, looked up tons of stuff online so we both could understand what was going on and gave me such kind and knowledge care. All the staff are so friendly, nonjudgmental and caring. I am feeling so much better today, everything they did worked! I am so glad I know this place is mere minutes from my house and I will never be going anywhere else for urgent care again! read more

I stopped by the urgent care to deal with a possible infection. I was warmly welcomed and was seen quickly. The staff was all friendly and listen to my complaints. Doctor Rutherford saw me and listen to all my symptoms taking time to gather the information. I let them know that I had been having problems finding a primary physician. Last Sunday(6/7/2020) my husband and I went to Swedish Edmonds Urgent Care in Edmond, Washington my husband had swollen right pinky finger that hurt so bad very sensitive he saw Mr Todd B Brugos PA-C. Mr Brugos checked him, did the x-ray, took temperature, looked at the finger didn't even touched it. After the x-ray he was diagnosed with infection Cellulitis. My complained the reason we went there was to checked and clean the effected area for immediate treatment but he was send home w/o doing anything on his hand. All his advise is to take the antibiotic if it is hurt take ibuprofen. This will be our first and last visit to this place. It seems he was not concerned to this patient. I will not even recommend this place. read more

This clinic was good for a while until they began adding too many PAs. I am on my chart online and I reviewed the notes from my visit with 1 of the PAs. The notes did not at all reflect what the exam REALLY consisted of. I contacted the office Manager and she was going to get it all straightened out. Have not talked to her since. The PA I saw indicated that she had done an abdominal exam. Which she had not. A few months later I ended up in Swedish ER for abdominal pain, they ordered a CT scan of my chest and abdomen and found 2 masses which had grown in the last year on my lung and my adrenal gland. I am now trying to sort through all of this on my own once again. There was also a HIPPA violation. Attached to the front of my discharge notes - WERE ANOTHER PATIENTS WITH A LIST OF HER MED, DEMOGRAPHICS, AGE ETC. Now I have no idea where I stand with my lung and gland and trying to coordinate my care. Had she done the abdominal exam she claimed to have this probably could have bee caught sooner. What tipped the awesome Dr. at Prov/Everett off was that my whole chest and abdominal cavity were sore to the touch EVERYWHERE! read more

I went there yesterday because I had a very persistent cold that I just couldn't shake. This clinic does not have that undesirable "hospital feel", but still is very clean and sterile. There are tissues and hand sanitary stations everywhere which I appreciated. I was greeted by very pleasant staff. Then I was led directly into an exam room. No wait time! The doctor listened carefully to everything I had to say. Then prescribed me prescriptions and was able to explain to me what each one did and how long I should take them for. She was able to answer all the questions I had. I will definitely be going back there again if I need to. When you are grumpy and ill, you just want all your human interactions to be pleasant. I took my son in and was very disappointed when the door was locked at 7:20 but clinic is open until 8pm. A staff member came out and informed they were closed for the night because all their rooms were filled. I work for the Swedish organization and never heard of such a thing to turn away a patient especially a child is ridiculous. This is so disappointing, I've heard such good things about this clinic and am so sad I was turned away. I ended up taking him to immediate clinic in Lynnwood and they took him right in, (he had the flu) and we were out before 8pm. read more

We brought our two month old in to check her ears before our flight back home to the East Coast. We were greeted warmly and immediately taken to our bright and clean room. The paperwork was straightforward and the gal managing it was really friendly. The doctor saw us within 10 minutes of our arrival, addressed our concern and expressed openness to discussing any other issues. We highly recommend Swedish Edmonds Urgent Care! read more
