I had another smooth visit at ZoomCare. I had been having ear pain and trouble hearing for a week, and had assumed that I had an ear infection. I scheduled an appointment online and was there the next day. Coincidentally, I had the same care provider as last time, Curtis Fanta. After examining my ear he suggested that the discomfort may be from earwax buildup. I was a bit skeptical, but after flushing my ears, I could hear again and the pain was just about gone. I kept monitoring things for the next several days, and sure enough everything went back to normal. Just be sure that you arrive on time/a little early. I overheard a convo with a guy who had come about 10 minutes late, and he had to rebook. As far as I can tell, this isn't the type of place where they triage treating patients according to how severe their condition--it's moreso about seeing patients at their appointment times. I think this is a great option for minor/run-of-the-mill concerns. read more

Heard about this location and my insurance covered it. Easy to get an appointment. Friendly staff. Capable nurse practitioner. The one caution - don't get meds filled here. I paid $18 for amoxicillin. I had to get a refill of the same med and had them send it to Walgreens across the street where I was charged 71 cents for the same medication. I didn't price compare the other two meds I was given but I did spend over $55 on the three of them. I would definitely go back. And I would definitely NOT get any meds filled here. read more

although the bill was VERY expensive (likely partly due to my personal insurance) , i was able to get a same day appointment, was checked in and called back very quickly, and only had to be there for less than an hour. My care person was very nice and attentive and asked lots of questions and i thought it was thorough and like I was really listened to. I went in for a strep throat test and was also given a flu and covid test which were all rapid and got my questions answered. I will probably choose them next time i need urgent care! read more

When I am seen, it's great! I've been prescribed antibiotics and referred for X-rays here. However I have twice now scheduled an appointment online the night before and had my appointment canceled the next day, a few hours before I was supposed to be seen. No complaints about their service but their billing practices are the *worst*. Never ever give them your credit card! Went in for a COVID test on 8/14 and I was asked to give them a credit card for whatever my insurance company doesn't charge. I told them that my insurance company covers COVID tests 100% so there should be no charge. They said they would check with the insurance company before billing so I trusted them and handed my card. I was charged almost $200 that day. Fine, but then when I checked with my insurance company a week later, I saw that a check for the full amount was mailed out to them on 8/21. So I called them back and asked for a refund. The billing department said that my refund would be processed shortly. Fast forward to over a month later, I still don't have a refund while Zoom has been paid twice - once through my credit card and once through my insurer. I sent them a message online where they claim to get back to you within 24 hours, but its been 12 days and still no response from them. I've tried calling them but can never get through - called today and was initially told that the representative would be with me in 2 minutes, then 16 minutes later was told to leave a voicemail. For what its worth, the exact same thing happened to me about 5 years ago but I brushed it off as a one-time issue. This just cements in my mind how sneaky their billing practices are. read more

Now 2 yrs later I have a Medicare Advantage plan-- Regence.. this guy in Portland says they will not take it. This feels like older people discrimination or another mixed up staff. I love that we have a Zoom so close to us! The website for scheduling is awesome and so easy. We've seen Dr. Curtis Fanta twice now and he is wonderful and great with kids! You get right in, it's not crowded at all, free parking, nice staff, and I love that we've been able to get our Rx right then and there! So much easier and quicker than a regular dr office. Awful awful awful. I had to take my mom urgently to whichever urgent care was open which happened to be this location. It was 30 minutes before closing and we asked if she could be seen urgently because her head, eye, and ear were hurting. She did have a history of having a brain tumor and so the medical assistant just dismissed us and told us to go to the ER. He was not empathetic or sincere. I asked if she could be seen to see if she had an ear infection and he stated "since your mom has a brain tumor that's was causing the pain so she needs to get imaging done at a hospital." How does he know what's causing what? How could he simply state that fact? Anyways, very rude and I would just save your time and go to the ER. These people are NOT helpful in urgent situations. read more

"No, I wasnt planning on having an emergency tonight". -"Sorry, we are all booked up tonight". With these urgent care places, you gotta make an appointment if you plan on having an emergency. I thought that was the whole point of urgent care is to walk in for urgent care or emergencies. Guess not. (extra star for the front desk) The girl was nice at the front desk though, she gave me an option to going to another Zoom location and took my info down to book me an appointment online at that location. I get an email confirmation on my phone. I asked where the closest ER was....she said it wasnt far to where I was heading to. She 's helpful with giving me info to that location as well just in case I needed it. I leave.....as Im driving to the other Zoom location, I get a "cancelled" notice that my appointment has been cancelled at that location she booked me at. Guess she thought I was going to the ER instead, so she cancelled it. I didnt want to drive around so I ended up at the ER. read more

Thank you for your attentive care. I have two forms of insurance and needed a Covid test for work and was absolutely shocked when I was told the bill here would be $300 dollars. I didn't know what to do so I just paid it. I didn't complain or anything but I was really confused and upset. Not 30 minutes later, the receptionist who had assisted me with my payment called me back and said something wasn't right. She wasn't sure why, but had never seen a bill that high and didn't understand why my insurance wasn't taking. Without me even asking, she submitted a billing exception to my provider and called me to say that she was going to take care of it with my provider on her end. Nothing for me to do. And it was approved. $0 for my test and everything was covered. I can't say enough how appreciative I am for this gesture. read more

My son has significant challenges with anxiety, and a bad experience with a prior flu shot left him in total fight-or-flight meltdown at the idea of the flu shot. A friend had recommended zoomcare as a much better experience than other clinics because they took a little more time to get the kids adjusted. I was blown away by both the patience and the carng of this team though. It took us multiple visits and lots of work to get him through the anxiety but they took the time, called me outside of our appointment to strategize, worked with his anxiety needs, respected his concerns and requests and ultimately got the shot done with patience and grace. I loved Zoomcare because they are super convenient and easy to book with; however, be warned that you cannot contact the care team directly if you need anything after your visit. Your only option is to call a support team out of Portland, who may or may not be able to resolve the issue. I was given a prescription and told refills would be sent to my pharmacy, which was great. I went to get my my pharmacy and they had no rx. I called Zoomcare and waited on the line FOR OVER 30 MINUTES before giving up. I emailed them and explained the situation and was told that I was given a paper rx, which was just about the least helpful response I could have received. I finally got somebody on the support number this morning and even she was uncertain about how to resolve the issue. They say they will get back to you in 24 hours, which is extremely problematic when you are dealing with medical issues. read more

I absolutely LOVED my experience with Zoom! Making an account was super easy, and I was on a video chat with someone within one minute from when I entered the queue. The person really listened and made me feel cared for, and I was super impressed that all of the providers notes were available to me immediately in the app right after our meeting. A few weeks after my initial appt, I used their video call service again for another matter and was lucky to get the same person! She remembered me and asked how I was doing since our previous meeting and was able to help me get the prescriptions I needed both times very quickly. I have never had a doctors visit that was as easy and stress-free as I have with Zoom. I highly recommend their service to anyone and will definitely go to them for all my needs. read more

I'd love to be able to give zero stars. Went for a rapid covid test. Waited 24 hours, heard nothing. Called, and was given a phone number to call LabCorp. LabCorp did not have my test and said rapid tests are done in house so ZoomCare should have it directly. Called ZoomCare again. Was told they'd call the wallingford location directly and get back to me in 10 mins. After an hour, I called again. This time, I was put on hold for a half hour, then told the results were inconclusive and I needed to schedule another appt. Was told it would have to be tomorrow as the wallingford location was closed today (it was listed as open on their website). Scheduled a new appt. At this point I suspected they lost my test and didn't want to admit it. So I called again, asked the status of my test, and was told my chart said they were still waiting on results. So yes, the woman who told me the test was "inconclusive" was lying. I was told no managers were available to escalate, but was given a "problem solvers" phone number. No problem solvers were available to take my call. Worst health care experience ever, and the woman who lied about what was in my chart is likely in violation of HIPAA. read more

I had an excellent experience at ZoomCare. I was sick and couldn't figure out what was going on. I couldn't get into my normal physician on such short notice. I felt desperate but my issue was in no way serious enough to go to the E.R. I was also anxious about having to go to a creepy walk in clinic. I called them up and explained what was going on. They were very friendly and accommodating and gave me several time slots I could come in for an appointment with the soonest being ASAP. I was in the office within the hour and Melissa Pew, PA was my provider. She was friendly and personable and listened to everything I had to say very carefully without discounting any of my concerns. The office was professional, clean, and welcoming. I can see why they have so many high reviews. I was very impressed. They accept most insurance policies. I paid my copay and was on my way. I found out they offer primary care as well as same day appointments for those in need of urgent care. They have a few assigned free parking spots for patients in the garage to the right of the ZoomCare sign. It was nice not to worry about parking. They did outsource my blood work to Swedish because the phlebotomist didn't feel comfortable doing my blood work. I have tiny veins. I was able to run over to Swedish and get my blood drawn fairly quickly and painlessly. My wait time was maybe 5 minutes at Swedish so it truly was efficient. I appreciated that she referred me over there to begin with rather than poking me twice and not succeeding then having me go over there anyway. I'd recommend ZoomCare to anyone and wouldn't hesitate to return if I find myself in a pinch again. They offer follow up care, too which is wonderful. read more

I was a bit skeptical of what seemed to me the medical equivalent of fast food. I was WRONG. The more I go there, the more I realize ZoomCare is how preventive and medicine should be run. You should always be able to get an appointment the same day because hey if I wanted to wait for two weeks for an appointment I might die. Lets get back to the facts. My significant other (SO) had a bad flu/cold. After a day and a half of fever and anti-congestion medication I took the plunge and set up an appointment in an easy-peasy way with zoomCare. We went there in an hour, they did tests for two types of flu, reassured us it's not anything earth shattering but that we should keep an eye on his symptoms. My SO was really happy with the care and he recovered fast. It was nice to know that in case of change of symptoms we could call someone who knew what the trajectory was. I recently went in for an appointment myself that was definitely more of a primary care physician kind of question and had ALL of my questions answered. Three days later, I got a bad common cold that due to a pre-existing condition I couldn't treat the regular way so I went back to zoomCare, they told me what to do and how to deal with it. Big kudos to Mellisa Pew who took care of my needs. I wish I could vote for her in a top health care providers list because she was friendly informative and knowledgeable. I had blood drawn and I was once again impressed with the care of not getting my squeamish self uncomfortable. They called me several times (we kept missing each other) to discuss some tests and were very open to questions. I really like it when I get my questions answered. I also got the test results by email as a pdf which comes in handy if you need to see another Dr. Like many of the other posters, I am really tempted to stick with ZoomCare for all my primary care medical needs instead of the regular overbooked physician office. Things to keep in mind: - folks are Physicians Assistants and they are referred as health care providers. - The PAs are very clear on what their area of expertise is and will let you know immediately if you need to see a specialist which they can refer - your first appointment is $99 but afterwards it seems things change for the better - the facility is very clean, the staff is always on time if not early if you come on a low day read more

My host daughter gave these guys her credit card information. She made sure they were in network so she doesnt have to pay more than an in-network copay. They charged her $150 for the visit! Three weeks later insurance processes the claim and said she only owed them a copay. They made the refund process complicated, wont talk to her on the phone, made her deal with them through their phone app, make her wait 7-10 business days for an answer. However more important than the billing, the PA who saw her misdiagnosed her with benign otitis and prescribed amoxicillin. Three days later my host daughter ended up in ER because half of her face was paralyzed due to mastoiditis, a much more severe infection that affected the nervous system. She is okay now but of course we are not going to this place again. We'll go some place where you can see an actual MD! read more

I stopped by late day with stomach pains. The process was easy and efficient from the online booking to my super short wait time. The team suggested I head to the ER with a likely appendicitis diagnosis (it was an appendicitis). Amazingly, the RN called later that evening and the again the next morning to check in. As I was in surgery, I never received her calls but she then followed up with a secure email. I can easily see a scenario where a patient doesn't go right to the ER as I did and her persistent follow up might have been life saving. This place is amazing. When I walked off my stairs at home and tumbled to the floor I needed to hit up urgent care just to be safe I didn't break anything too bad. I was able to get an appointment for first thing the next day. My cab made me a full 10minutes late, but they didn't charge me the missed appointment fee. They also squeezed me in between open appointments which were super considerate. The doctor assistant I met with was really nice and through. She had me in and out quickly, but I never felt rushed. I even got a follow up call the next day to find out I was improving. I had such a great experience when I came down with an eye infection I popped back in. Same great service. The only bad thing is the prescriptions they dispense in office are not covered by insurance. I am not sure why and they could not explain. I asked they call my script over to Walgreens where it was covered. Saved me $18 which I think is nothing to sneeze at. Overall I love them and will be back. Ahh, thank you Yelp for helping me find this place! I wish I had known about it sooner. My ear had been bothering me for the past month or so... it wasn't painful, but it was annoying, my hearing was muffled, and I couldn't take it anymore! Decided to come here at the last minute (literally last minute -- I pulled up the website at 5:55pm, created my online account, and scheduled my appointment for 6:30pm), showed up at 6:25pm, checked in with Michael (super warm & welcoming btw), and was seen by Melissa Levine, PA-C, before 6:30pm. Turns out I had impacted ear wax and an ear infection! :( Melissa flushed all the junk out of my ear and the coolest part was being able to see my ear infection with the microscope thingamajig that had a camera on it. She was very friendly and informative! Next thing I knew, I was out of there with a cleaner ear (lol) and antibiotics that they gave me on the spot. I didn't even have to go to the pharmacy! Super amazed about that. What was even more amazing was the time it took -- I was out of there around 6:45pm; in and out the door in 20 minutes, ya'll! Woot. I needed to be seen on a holiday weekend and ZoomCare was a great choice. The team got me processed and into the exam room quickly, and the doctor worked with my complicated situation (possible food poisoning, but we couldn't be sure) and got my lab work going (literally, going, you have to drop off most labs at a Swedish clinic nearby). When things took an unexpected turn for the worse later in the day (not I, nor the docs could've expected this), the doctor kept in touch the whole way through and called at night to check on me until my situation was resolved. Thanks to her, I got the medical care I needed both in her office, and from the ER. I also got advice that helped me keep up my overall health while lab tests (two days from the ER) came back. This is only the second time I've ever used an Urgent Care facility, and this place was amazing. Professional, thorough, courteous and prompt. I scheduled an appointment online and was seen by a PA right on schedule. She interviewed me very thoroughly and gave me a solid exam - easily 10+ minutes of careful poking and prodding. There was no sense of being rushed out the door to see the next patient. She was able to rule out several serious possibilities (but gave me a heads-up on what to look out for just in case) and gave me some very clear guidance, as well as an Rx that they filled on-the-spot. I have decent insurance, and the Dial-a-Nurse recommended visiting an Urgent Care. I never expected such a great experience! If you're not fortunate enough to have insurance, they're very transparent with their rates. Should I need their services again (and I hope I won't) I'll go right back there. read more

Dr. Melissa Pew saved my life! I was reluctant to go to urgent care for my abdominal pain after usually getting a blasé 'wait and see' response whenever I would go to my usual doctor. Melissa asked great questions, listened actively and told me that she felt that we needed answers today for my pain and recommended I go to the ER. Turns out, my appendix had already perforated, and who knows what would have happened if I didn't get the push from Dr. Pew to be assertive about my medical care. I am SO happy I went to Zoom. After a day of massive sore throat & fearing I had strep, I decided to try to get in at Zoom. I got onto their website at 4:20, signed up for an account, made an appointment for 4:45, got to Zoom at 4:27 (okay, I live a mile away,won't be this fast for non-wallingfordites), was seen, tested, diagnosed, treated, paid, and home by 4:55. 35 minutes from the time I made my appointment until I was back home. And it cost me $10 total, including prescription. Seriously! Didn't even have to go to the pharmacy, since they carry the antibiotic on site. If you have any sort of mild illness or injury, that doesn't warrant a trip to the ER but you don't want to wait to see your doctor (or don't have one), this is the place to go! read more

I didn't realize it till now, but the entire appointment was under 30min. There was NO waiting in the waiting room. I was checked in and seen IMMEDIATELY. My experience at ZoomCare in Wallingford exceeded my expectations in every way. I had some pain and discomfort that began when I was out of town, and worsened the night I got back to the point that I was considering an ER visit. Thankfully I found ZoomCare instead, was able to make an appointment for early the next day, and avoided a costly and unnecessary trip to the hospital. With my health insurance coverage I was out the door for $30 including the prescribed medication, which they conveniently had on hand. Melissa Pew (PA-C) provided excellent care when I arrived, for a somewhat discomfiting issue. She has excellent 'bedside manner' and put me very much at ease- a feat which my (soon to be former) primary care physician is wholly unfamiliar with. In short, she provided a much more satisfying experience than a normal trip to my doctors office, for a problem that I was fully expecting to be much more off putting. I'm amused at the poor reviews from people who simply expect ZoomCare to be something they are not...if you have an emergency and are bleeding profusely- that's when you GO TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM. This is an urgent care organization, and this office does urgent care extremely well. They will definitely be my first choice should the need arise for another visit. read more

I was dreading having to find a place for basic medical care, but ZoomCare was shockingly easy. There is definitely a niche in the market for quick and simple storefront clinic healthcare. A niche for a neighborhood human mechanic, if you will. Some needs are straightforward enough that a super busy family practice doctor's office and its traditional delays are just unnecessary. I came for a very simple purpose: to have my ears cleaned. The office is all business and seemingly bare bones. That's the one complaint I'd have about the experience, that I felt the decor was cold. It evokes protein powder shop meets "pharmaceutical company booth at trade show" with its decidedly un-earthen tones. But to be fair, that can be easily solved sometime down the line. I arrived at the office early and the day was going efficiently on their end, so they were able to see me 5 minutes before my scheduled time. The Physician Assistant on duty did so with aplomb and I was out the door and satisfied after only 30 minutes and no delays whatsoever. That's always the bummer with family practice physicians, is that you aren't really helped until 45-60 minutes after your scheduled appointment time. My insurance covered the cleaning as an "office visit," so I had a very reasonable co-pay, instead of the potential $140 cost that would have been the non-insured figure. There is some free parking, with two spaces reserved for ZoomCare and some other spaces as well. Open 7 days a week, which is more important for those who can't afford to just take time off whenever a domestic concern comes up. I give props to ZoomCare as a company. They have nearly everything (except decor) figured out, straightforward and efficient. I would say that the customer service at every level reflects what one would expect from a Cascadian firm (headquartered in Hillsboro, OR). I have already recommended them to a friend. read more

I just tried ZoomCare for the first time yesterday and it was an awesome experience. My husband and I were pretty tired of the stress and fatigue associated with trying to get an appointment with a traditional PCP whenever we're sick. The whole process of waiting days to get an appointment, sitting in a waiting room forever, just to be moved to another room to wait even longer for a doctor that only has 5 minutes to see you was getting old! I decided to try ZoomCare yesterday and I was very impressed. I was in and out in record time, the exam was thorough and I could get my medication from their pharmacy which saved me a trip to the drugstore. I was treated by Melissa Levine and she was awesome, super friendly, knowledgeable and professional. I loved the fact that they use Apple products throughout the whole process and you can see the practitioner's notes on screen as they take them. I thought the whole process was great and I/we will be going there from now on when we're sick and for routine medical needs since they cover those too! read more

ZoomCare to the rescue: despite getting a flu shot in the fall, I came down with the flu this past week. I went to see my doctor at Swedish early in the week who said to come back in if I didn't feel better in a few days. Things turned up, then down again. It was Friday evening before a holiday weekend and my fever returned. Swedish was closed for the next 3 days. My husband suggested I try Zoomcare instead of the ER. I hopped online at 5:40 p.m. and got a 6:00 p.m. appointment. All the intake paperwork was done online, so when I arrived, I was ready to be seen. The office was clean, well-lit and welcoming. The front office person was polite and confirmed my insurance. Moments later, Erin Naidu, PA-C ushered me back. She listened well, was compassionate and clear in her diagnosis. She prescribed the appropriate course of action and let me know she was available by phone or email if I had any other questions. I was out of there and home by 6:25p.m. Wow! Cool! Two days later, I did have a question. I called and was told the doctor working that day would call me back. Less than 30 minutes later, I got a call and spoke with another helpful doctor! I really wanted to like Zoom Care since they were super convenient and I could get a last minute appointment. I came to get general blood work done as a follow up to my annual physical. I had to visit 5 locations over two days to get this done since 4 Zoom Care nurses missed my vein when trying to draw blood. They finally sent me to Swedish Lab Corp, where the nurse practitioner hit my vein on the first attempt. I have never been scared of needles, but am now slightly traumatized after getting pricked 5 times for one blood sample. I will only be visiting Zoom Care for emergency prescriptions going forward. read more

I questioned and tried arguing. The lady laughed blew me off and got clearly annoyed. Now I found out she was wrong and I am unable to travel for my job for next year. Brendea Kelley is the doctor who lied and was rude. And when I called asking if they had a MD on staff that could sign it for me they said not in Washington you can drive to Oregon. I've made several visits to various Zoomcare locations, but Wallingford is my go-to as it's near my job and home. I am a frequent UTI sufferer and if you've ever had one, you know the special brand of hell that it is. Since they crop up unexpectedly and worsen at a rapid rate without antibiotics, a same-day urgent care clinic like Zoomcare is the best option for treatment. My usual doctor requires booking at least 3-4 days in advance in most cases, and that's much too long when you're in so much discomfort you don't even want to stand up and walk around much less go to work. Today was my third visit to this location in as many years, and I was very happy to arrive, be seen and be handed my medication in about 15 minutes. I kid you not. In, out, with my antibiotics (and much needed relief) in hand. I've always been treated very well by the staff, and I think the price for the speed at which they provide service is very fair.
