I've tried 4 of their donuts, all were well made. The apple filled Caramel topped donut is amazing, the donut's texture was perfect. The smores donut had great contrasts between the gram crackers, marshmallows and the chocolate frosting, it had a good amount of chew and is satisfying. The death by chocolate is super chocolaty would highly recommend it with a huge glass of milk. Bacon Maple bar has the sweet and salty factor and also has a great texture. There is a good choice of espresso based drinks which are also yummy. The donut shop is over 10 miles away and it's worth the drive. read more

Such cute names and designs! Reasonable prices which brings me to my only complaint; cash only. They do however have an ATM so still five stars from me! I drive past this place every Sunday on my way to my therapist's office and intend to pick up a donut on my way but I don't. I finally did! Yummy! They have a variety of donuts but they aren't your typical stale donuts. They are delicious and monster themed. If you have children, I don't, it's a cool place for kids. The little lobby and seating area is decorated zombie-ish for kids. Also, I would imagine that the kids would enjoy picking out a donut that looks like a monster or an eyeball. Just checked this place out. It's really cute theme. The decor is very cute! Yes, it's like a play off VooDoo Donuts in Portland but do I care...no I don't! I'm not in Portland obviously so I appreciate a business creating their own spin on the creepy donut business. As for the donuts, they were great! I had the Zombee mascot and it was tasty glazed donut that was shaped like a voodoo doll and the head had jelly in it. My nephew enjoyed a Black Widow donut and he loved it. My niece had a chocolate vegan donut which apparently sell out very fast! She wants to go back to try another vegan flavor. They have a lot of cute names for their donuts too! This place caught my eye as we were driving to breakfast. Great advertising and bright pink sign color! I would've never noticed them without it. I had to give them a whirl since I've already tried the other famously named place in Denver that this place resembles. We got a dozen of a bunch of different doughnuts for $20. Not to bad on the price since similar ones elsewhere run twice that amount (inDenver). The cinnamon snake was a bit on the oily side, but had great flavor and was soft. The take credit cards but charge you .50 service charge. It's a small business and may soon move from that so give them a break. LOVE THIS PLACE! Okay so I actually reviewed this place for my college newspaper, but I had to add on yelp as well. First off the owner is the sweetest. I know it's a mother/daughter duo, but the daughter was on her honeymoon when I came in, so it was just the mother there. She is so kind, and she was working her butt off getting the donuts ready for the day. She actually gave me 2 free, seeing as I was reviewing for a publication, but nevertheless I would have gladly paid (and gladly did just 2 days later). I love the feel and openness of the place. It's so clean and has so much potential. I tried the "Monster" Donut and the "Eyeball" donut. The first time I had the monster, it was only slightly filled with whipped cream on two ends and honestly it was my favorite that way. I liked how there was only a bit that first time. I really got to savor the dough oh my god I LOVE it that way. The second time I had it, it was filled to the max with whipped cream, and it was good, very dense, I still enjoyed it. And in case you're wondering the Monster energy drink infused frosting is actually really good okay. It's not overwhelming at all and it's just more creative than anything. The eyeball was really good too. Not as "red velvet-y" but still pretty good. I'm a fan of classic fried dough and man this was great. I should put a quick disclaimer I'm not the biggest frosting fan, so it was a bit much for me but still enjoyable! And the chocolate covered doughnut hole in the middle was fantastic. The perfect complement. During my second trip (had to bring my roommate to show her how amazing this place is) I noticed that there weren't just sprinkled donuts this time, some had chocolate chips on them and others had mini marshmallows. I was bummed I saw them after I ordered my Monster donut, oh well there's always next time which there will definitely be! This donut shop is gimmicky, probably because of CalStateFullerton across the street (gotta please the students), but the quality of the yeast donuts is high here regardless of the energy-drink glaze, sugar cereal topping, or Nutella filling. We have been coming here since they opened about 8 years ago. The first time I drove by and noticed the zombie theme I had to swerve right in and check it out as Halloween is my favorite holiday. But I stayed and continue to return for the super high quality donuts and the A plus creativity. It is hard to pick a favorite but I particularly love the "rabies babies", "Jack Skellingtons" (usually just in October although you can special order them anytime and a must for any Halloween party), and the ham and cheese croissants. Visually I also love the intense amount of sprinkles on any of their sprinkle topped donuts. They always come up with special creations for holidays (but either order ahead or get there early in the morning before these sell out!). And the mother/daughter team who own and operate the shop are the lovliest people. Truly a family operation and, if you want to support local small businesses, this is the place for donuts, coffee, lattes, etc. read more

This place is SO COOL! I had an appointment nearby and needed a place to chill for half an hour or so. I saw this place's pink Zombie sign and said "yes"..even though I wasn't in the mood for a donut. There's generous parking behind the building, and signs saying "walkers welcome." The building is older but inside has been completely re-vamped in black, grey and stainless steel, with pink accents. It's like a haunted Halloween donut house. : ) The donuts all were creatively- named and beautifully decorated. Many were bristling with Oreo cookie chunks, cereal bits, coconut, etc. I don't remember specific names, but my choices of a nutella-filled donut and a bacon maple bar were fantastic (yes, BACON on a donut!). They also have vegan donuts. Ana was very helpful, professional, and friendly. I watched her chat with every patrons at length, and I felt comfortable interviewing her about this business. She clearly loves her job and proudly maintains the shop as if it were her own. I was amazed, I normally don't like kona coffee because its usually too weak, but she wisely makes it double-strength, which was perfect. Everything about this place is SPOT-On. There's even a happy hour in the afternoons, when you can get two for one donuts or a dozen at half price. Prices are super-reasonable, my coffee and two huge donuts came to $3.75...during happy hour...And coffee refills were free. read more

I was really disappointed with the donuts here. The pictures make the donuts look great and desirable, but they do not taste fresh at all. Be weary of places that try to be "hip" while trying to fulfill very normal tasks (make a donut). It was very hip, and the donuts and interior were unique--but, it tastes stale and old: a mixture between overly sweet and weirdly bland. The worker was very nice, the inside was very clean, and everything was set up for this place to be a success. Yet, it is just over-priced and low quality. This place is ok. The building is cute, the theme is nice, and of course they get points for having many puns. But everything else was pretty lacking. When I visited, it was absolutely freezing inside. Like shockingly freezing. My gf said we needed to eat the donuts fast because she was too cold to sit inside for too long. Like my 7 year old inner child had a moment of "Whoa, slow down, let's think about this decision, bro." Plus the fact that it was cold made the icing break off, and the cake itself super hard. "Fortunately" the coffee was hot. Burnt hot. I'm not sure how, but the coffee was both weak and burnt. I'm giving it three stars, even though this review sounds really bad, because I'm being pretty picky. My girlfriend and I have a standing Wednesday morning donut date at Sidecar Donuts in Costa Mesa, where their donuts are light, fluffy, balanced, creative, and damn tasty, plus they have Stumptown coffee. This place was fun. Love the name, love the puns they use for their donuts names. Came here Saturday morning because I've been dying to try this place every time i drive by. It's pretty hard to miss with its BRIGHT pink exterior. I have to say the donuts i chose were decent, however i would have been much more satisfied if they would have had a toaster oven or some kind of way to warm the donuts. I know we did come in around 11 am, which isn't really donuts happy hour, however i prefer my pastries warm. Also it would add a great scent to this place. (Not that is smelled bad) It would have been nice to walk in and have the nice, comforting aroma of fresh baked donuts. The two donuts i have to say were my absolute favorite were the "Nutella" and the "Maple Bacon Bar". The nutella filling was to die for and the bacon on top of a donuts is just brilliance. I do have to say i wish they would have had more options for drinks.. They had coffee, soda and other vending machine products, However i do think that adding an espresso bar would do wonders for this business. The interior of this place could use some work, other then a few leather couches and donut shaped pillows that's all there really is to look at, kind of a eye sore. They should make the bakery more interesting and play more on the name of "Zombee Donuts" maybe dimming the lighting and or having the spokey vibe all year around. I just drove by this little gem as I was visiting my sister's work place across the street. I wasn't sure what to expect as donut places are a hit n' miss, but I took a gamble and I'm sure glad I did. I went ahead and tried a new type of donut they were offering with peanut butter cups on the top. I was sold! As I ate the donut I found that there were peanut butter cups inside of it, score! I don't even typically like donuts, but I really enjoyed this place and the inside decor is a fancy touch... Definitely a good idea for a date for young couples who don't drink alcohol but still want to spend the day in downtown Fullerton. They even have these cool donut pillows on the couches from the Simpsons. They offer coffee and other drinks and well. All of their donuts are unique and have funny names like "cereal killer" to describe a donut with fruit loops on it. This place is amazing. The DO accept cards it's brand new like less then 2 weeks ago they started this. The doughnuts are fantastic, unique, and very very sweet. More than one of these masterpieces will give you a massive bellyache. They have doughnuts ranging from stright up normal glazed to things called Cereal Killers, which are basically glazed with vanilla frosting with Fruitloops or Lucky Charms Covering the top. However, the hours are weird so look up the times before you come. They are closed on tuesdays. read more
