You either like it or you don't, I have had both dine-in and take-out. I think the portion sizes on take-out are smaller (except for pizza) but same price. Been going to Ziti's for years, but it was so good last night I had to put in a good word. I split a pizza with my grandson and it was the best pie I've had in a very long time. No skimping on the toppings. My wife got her favorite special, saffron fettucine with seafood (4 scallops, 4 shrimp). The saffron pasta is homemade. She loved it, as usual. Our server, Rick, could not have done a better job for us. Also, the place is looking much better than in years past - clean, understated, contemporary décor. Excellent food! My mom got the eggplant parmigiana she said it was great! My husband tried a cheese calzone very yummy! I got the Homemade Rotelle it was Made with scallops, shrimp, and spinach and tossed with Rotelle in a pink sauce! So delicious I have never had anything like it before! Getting into the Framingham restaurants on a Sunday afternoon is impossible so we just drove West and thought we would double back to Bertuccis when we saw the sign post for Zitis. It is a hole in the wsll. Casual cafeteria style on the left, gourmet on the right after 4 pm. We sat on the left and wonder fully surprised with the quality. I had the Pasquales special salad; nothing more than tomatoes, mozzarella and basil. Laura had the ziti putanesca. Both dishes perfectly presented and made to order. I went and complemented the chef. I ordered a pizza here, and it was average to just below average. As a native NY'er, finding really quality pizza has been difficult. While the pizza was thin crust, it was very bland. I have been eating for 6 years or so. They have made improvements to the food and the restaurant, but, it's still a pasta/pizza joint in a strip mall. The room does not say "restaurant" it says "fast food" the Quiznos a few doors down has a nicer decor. "Va bene", you might say, but is the food good, it is. It's just not North End prices good. Dinner for 4 with a glass or wine or two can be well over $100. I like the pasta dishes. The Gnocchi Sorrentina is a real standout. The Pizza, it's quasi thin crust but has puffy edges to the crust. Not my favorite pie in town. I prefer the sandwiches; Italian cold cuts, the classic prosciutto and mozzarella and a very fine chicken parm. So why 4 stars? Because if I'm really hungry and I'm near this place, chances are I'll hit it. This used to be one of my favorite local italian restaurants. Nothing fancy, just real good italian food. But the last 3 times I have come here, I have been very disappointed. I don't know who owns or manages this place, but something has definitely changed - either they have a new chef, or new management, because this place was consistently good, now it's consistently fair. The last 2 times I have been there, the pasta was way undercooked, the antipasto appetizer was small and poorly thrown together. The veal cutlet I had last time was bland and tough. I do think that their pizza is still worth getting, but I no longer go for a sit down meal of any kind. Too bad, this area can use more small local italian eateries. read more

Ordered Chicken Piccata from catering menu. We ordered it a day in advance for pick up. Not only had to wait 20 minutes for them to make it, it had no chicken in it. Definately has gone down hill in recent years. It used to be a hidden jewel, it is now a faded rose. I have been going to Zitis since the late 1980s when it first opened and it was a small single room place with mostly take-out rather than sit down and eat-in. Was known for the great and fast food and service, serving the area's High-Tech workers on their lunch hours. We visited Zitis last week and found it far inferior to past visits. The taste of the food has become weak and bland, my wife's pasta meal (with sasuage) was very bad, as the sasauge was ineditble in it almost spoiled taste. When we mentioned this to the waitress, who was rarely seen at our table after she deposited the food there, she mainly shrugged and did not raise this concern to the management or cooking staff. She must have been aware they were serving foul meat and did not care. I longed for years past when you went here for some of the best and freshest Italian food outside the North End. It has degraded to just another overprice eatery in a Westborough strip mall. There are other options in the area that are better and cheaper than Zit's current incarnation read more

The food was good, and the portions were large. Maybe a little bland, but it tasted fresh and almost homemade. I'm sure for take out, this is a great place. Dining ambiance is akin to a pizza parlor, and I'm not holding that against the place - that's there thing, and I'm the new guy. Okay, got it. I did have a really odd waitress, however. I tried to use a gift certificate on a $56 meal that included alcohol on the purchase. When being told I couldn't use it since their was alcohol, we got some really weird and round-about information. The waitress unprovokingly went on to explain that it's illegal because it encourages over-drinking, "like having special prices for food that encourages fat people to eat more, ya know?" No, you cracked out lunatic, I DON'T know. You've developed a shockingly uncorrelated speech about fat people that has little to nothing to do with anything. Not sure if she's the person who messaged me here or not, but yeah, the service side of things was pretty ... well, it happened. So anyway, I changed up my review to focus on the food, the location, and the service. If I lived nearby, I'd probably do a bunch of take out from this place, since price was good and it was a lot of food. We consider ourselves pretty hard core foodies and this is our go-to take out place whenever were in the area. The pasta sauce on the Chicken Parm is outstanding; extremely fresh, light and flavorful... the bread is excellent also always fresh and always perfectly toasted. Decided to try this place because we had a gift certificate. Pizza bread was obviously day old bread which is fine because it gave it a nice crunch. This place is just plain awesome. Don't expect too much from the pizza but everything else is pretty awesome, and the portions are very large. We usually do lunch here or bring it back, and its always a treat. Meatball subs, Steak and Cheese, Chicken Parm Sub, Prosciutto and Mozzarella sandwich, Chicken Ceaser Salad, Caprisi Salad, and the pasta or lasagna specials for the day are always awesome. The Chicken parm and Prosciutto and Mozzarella are my all time favorites. Ziti's food is really good (well.. most of the times) These guys have good pasta. Wont swear it is straight from Northend as they claim, but the pasta is better than average and it is cooked to order. The rest of their menu items will not impress you. Their subs are OK and they have absolutely nothing fried. The biggest problem I have is that all the cooks wear no gloves whatsoever. I am all for old-school and traditional cooking but I would like my pizza slice clean and not touched with your bear hands after you scratched yourself and/or handled cash. For sentimental reasons this is one of my most favorite Italian restaurants in central Massachusetts. Before my Grandfather passed away, I took him here. He grew up in central Italy (Abruzzo). For those of you who do not know there is a long standing dislike between the northern Italians who are industrious and the southern Italians who are (much) less so. When my Grandfather saw that the owners were from Calabria, I thought we might need to leave given his reaction. However, we both ordered up a tasty Eggplant Parm sandwich. The sub itself is enormous and cooked to perfection in my opinion. It's a pretty tasty piece o'eggplant and cheese. My grandfather and grandmother (both full-blooded eye-talians) agreed that this place has some pretty tasty food. They have catering and delivery as well. The atmosphere is nothing to get too excited about - it's a simple restaurant that is setup to be a lunch joint. Not a good date place. They also have what appears to be an excellent selection of Italian desserts, but I have not tried any of them. Unfortunately for those of you who have read this far, I have been to this restaurant a dozen times, but have only ever ordered the eggplant parm sub when I've come here. So, I really can't speak to the quality of the food other than the eggplant. But, if you want a good eggplant parm sub, this good sir, is the place to be. read more

I've given this place two try's and probably wont be going back. My boyfriend raved about this place after we moved up to Mass so we decided to try it. First time we went in, we got the chicken parm. He loved it, i've much better at italian places in RI. I wasnt a fan. The sandwich was big but the chicken was not the best. Next visit we decided to try their pizza. Again, not the best. My first slice fell apart and i had to eat it was a fork and knive! A big no-no for me. Also, we ordered the italian antipasto and seemed WAY too expensive for how much we got. Def not worth the money. The pizza was too thin in the middle and the end was too doughy. If i were to go back i'd try something completely different (maybe a pasta dish). read more

I'm a big big fan of this place, it's one of the few places in the area that never disappoints. Both consistent and affordable, I have enjoyed each and every dish I have ordered here. My top three favorites are the Pasqualy Salad, the Chicken Parma and the Sausage Pizza. All prepared with tasty fresh ingredients you can taste that they use a good quality mozzarella cheese on both the chicken and pizza and the cold cuts on the salad are all great - not sliced as thin as I prefer but the high quality makes up for that.They far exceed expectations of a place in a strip mall where you order at the counter - I highly recommend it. I'm Italian and grew up going to my Noni's for dinner every weekend. I'm very picky when it comes to Italian food. I love Ziti's!! I've been going to Ziti's for about 10 years now. There are very few things I don't recommend on the menu. However, their Pasquale Special Pizza is out of this world. Best pizza in the area. I also love the Chicken and Eggplant combo (they get the eggplant sooo tender), Gnocchi and Fusilli and Eggplant. Start with an antipasto to share with someone - If you don't share, you'll never come close to finishing your meal. The only downside to Ziti's is the atmosphere (or lack thereof). It is in a strip-mall, but you could never tell by the food. I've heard they are now taking credit cards which is good. read more

This is a hidden gen tucked into a shopping center. This place is fantastic for lunch. Get in line, order your food, open kitchen they cook in front of you. Specials are fantastic are super quick. Not your fancy gourmet but just good fresh Italian. I have stopped here for take-out on the way home as my kids love the food from here as well. The bread is amazing fresh and hot.
