Zip's claims it has "world famous" tartar sauce. Even though you can't find Zip's outside of Eastern Washington and possibly Idaho. The tartar sauce goes great with the tub o' fries. And it's damn fine tartar too. It's actually tart not sweet like how the Southerners make it. If you're really bold try the Dog Goner aka Homo/Homer Buster. It's a hamburger/hotdog hybrid that only the bold and insane eat. read more

Zip's was unprofessional and rude. If you are hungry and you decide because it's a hot day to get water don't got to zip's because they could care less... They forgot part of my order and out right ignored my request for water until I asked a second time and they wanted me to swipe my card again for 1.90... I got a regular ketchup must with pickles American burger for $1.90, it was ok nothing special but was open later than most restaurants on the strip. They are a bit pricey for what they serve and the size of their burger is kind of small. The burgers are not top quality and only slightly above McDonalds burgers. The most redeeming quality about this place is the giant bucket of tots or fries for only like 4 bucks. Drive thru was terrible so I would definitely recommend going in to be served. read more

My brother and I were visiting Spokane a few years ago, and came across this place, decided to try the fish and chips, and it was very good. We've gone back everytime since. The service was very slow, 5 minute wait for car ahead of us. The look of Zips is outdated and greasy. The food was terrible! The chicken sandwich was not fully cooked, it was a tiny piece of chicken with a few pieces of warm shredded lettuce on an oversized soggy bun. The fries were mediocre and the fry sauce had no flavor, very bland. This was a disappointing experience. read more

This place is pretty good. I got the belly buster. It's a cheeseburger with bacon and ham. It was my first time having ham in my sandwich but it wasn't bad. It was pretty good actually. Also their crinkle cut fries are really good. This location also has those All in one Coke fountains with 100+ combinations which is pretty cool. read more

Worst experiance I've ever had at a Zips location. Went through the drive thru and the man taking our order was extremely hard to understand, he made us repeat the order twice (bacon double cheese, big zipper, tub of fries and some tarter sauce) still couldn't get it correct and then muttered whatever and went to dead air...no repeat of the order or total. Finally got to the window and got a gruff demand for payment without him even looking at us. Asked him to repeat our order...no fries or tarter, changed total and waited for our food. What a disappointment, burger were cold, fries were soggy and super salty (had the scrape off salt crystals!) And still no tarter after paying for it. Very expensive for what you get. $3.50 for a double cheeseburger with hardly any meat. $3.20 for a large of the same frozen fries/tots that get dumped off the same SYSCO truck to everyone in town. Yet everyone else sells them for less. I mean they're open 24 hours in some spots and I guess they're local instead of a national chain. But I'm struggling to find any redeeming qualities other than the fact that they have tater tots and they don't charge for fry/tartar sauce. But still. It's $7+ for not very much food and the food is not of any quality. The patties were shriveled up. The bun was crushed. I went to Zips on Nw Blvd and for the second time, I ordered a 6 piece chicken and fries for my daughter and I to share. Both times I was very unsatisfied, because they literally gave us 9 fries, and the chicken strips were tiny. I have never been to place with this bad of service. Even when pulling up to the drive through as I was waiting a the lady comes up and admitted she forgot I was there. Very poor service I hope somebody fixes this problem. read more

I pulled up to the drive through and ordered a medium shake and a medium fry there wasn't very many people inside or in line for the drive through. The cashier didn't acknowledge me for a couple minutes and when she did she was very short with her replies after paying it took another ten minutes of me sitting there before I even got my shake then a couple more before I got my food. When she finally did come back I didn't get a sorry for the wait or a smile at all. Zips is truly one of those restaurants that make you remember the city BUT the thing i hate is how the hamburgers are always just thrown in the bags so when you get them you have to put them back together or when you go through the drive thru you food always gets smashed as a results of the workers throwing items in the bag, other than that the food is good and the originality is great! read more

We travel A LOT and thought we'd try this out. Put in our order like you'd expect it to go, pull up to the windows. One is marked cashier and the other not. We pay, the lady leaves her window and we pull forward a bit to wait for our food at the next window. Car in front is sitting there not being handed any food, drink, ect just chatting and the cashier lady comes back to the cashier window, has to lean out to hand us our food and tells us to have a good day. Now we're stuck between two cars, and have no drink or cone. Get her attention and she says we have to get the drinks at the next window. Chatty lady still blocking the next window. She's not asked to move to a spot out of, I don't know, PROGRESSING TRAFFIC but girl at window is talking about us TO her, while we're still waiting. Different girl comes back to original window has to lean out even further to hand us our one milkshake and cone then we had to maneuver our way out of the line to get out of there and around this freaking weirdo who is sitting there stroking a live iguana on her dash for...reasons? Adding insult to injury, the ice cream tastes weirdly frothy, gritty and oily. We will never be back. I'll start by saying I love Zip's and never dreamed I'd be writing a negative review on any of their restaurants, but this Zip's was awful. I felt like I was at a movie theater. They charge you for water and it's 95 degrees out. Then came the food: bad tarter, sub-par burger, and soggy fries. I will NEVER eat at this Zip's again and I advise you not to until the owner makes some changes. I LOVE Zips! In high school friends and I would sneak out at lunch to go get Papa Joes and I've yet to find a burger I like better than a Papa Joe. Whenever I make it back to Spokane, Zips is my first stop in, and my last stop out. Maybe it's partly nostalgia but I think Zips beats In n Out hands down. read more

This is hands down the worst Zips in Spokane. And it makes me sad to say that since my parents first met at this Zips in the summer of 1969. I just ordered a bacon burger with ketchup, pickle, onion, and mustard only. For probably the 5th time in a row the sandwich was wrong. I won't even leave the counter anymore before checking it. When they get it right its good. Almost always fresh. But ALWAYS wrong. Several of the employees are not friendly. Especially at night. I have stood for several minutes waiting to order after 9pm and have watched many people finally walk out waiting for somone to even acknowledge that they are there. The night crew has been so loud that you can hear them anywhere in the lobby, and that includes vulgar language a couple times. One day I even heard the manager complaining about the new minimum wage with a customer who also runs a small business right in the middle of the lobby. There are seldom clean tables in the evening, and the rest rooms are frequently closed or messy. If you eat here during the day you'll probably have a better experience than anytime after 7. I've eaten at Zips my entire life most often this one on Division. But the last few years this location has gone down hill fast. There just seems to be no good leadership and little focus on custom service. It's one of those places where you feel like you're interrupting the employees day, instead of being there to purchase a meal. read more

Zip's was a disappointment. We kept seeing them everywhere and decided to give it a try. This is the greasy fast food killing America's health and drive thrus. If you watch just one "restaurant rescue" type show, you'll know you can make a lot of great fast food cheaper and better tasting than being passionless and calling Sysco to dump off boxes of frozen processed crap. I wish we could recommend something, but it was all just so uninspiring, greasy and bland. Like I LOVE corndogs... theirs were less appetizing than you get from the frozen food section. It sure was NOT anything close to a hand-dipped "State Fair" corn dog. And it so easily could be - making batter and deep frying is NOT rocket science. But you have to start with some respect for food, cooking and the gift of feeding people. For us, none of these were anywhere on site and that earns Zip's a Zero. And for the price, DLish across the street is just SO much better in every way. read more
