I saw an employee stick his fingers in his mouth before handling my milkshake. I do love having an ice cream place so close to home but with sticky counters, sauces caked on the dispensers, and questionable food handling practices, I'm a lot less inclined to go there. I would be happy to return to being a regular if they'd clean up their act.

Paul Bunyan has the best burgers & fries IF done right…read more Better than much hyped Hudson's downtown... ( my burger there was nothing special but ruined by the ice cold bun ‍) Back to Paul Bunyan ... Our large fry order was EXCELLENT! Perfectly golden , HOT and crunchy on the outside SOFT in the center. Served in a white paper bag ...it's been a LONG time since we had fries this good!! I ordered a double cheese w/bacon. My hubs order single cheeseburger. Both were very tasty, hot w/ melted cheese ( thou a tad overcooked) & our request for light sauce made it perfect. WE WERE WORRIED ABOUT THIS LOCATION because of the bad reviews about service. No one was there when he ordered. The teen at the window was ok... at least it wasn't a rude experience.... & we were worried the food wouldn't be good. I'm hoping this wasn't a one off experience.... We usually go to the Rathdrum location since it's consistently very good. This one is closer...so I'm hoping for a repeat next time because there's nothing better than an excellent bag of hot golden fries with a very good cheeseburger! Eat your heart out McDonalds! I ran inside to use the restroom while my hubs ordered... I must mention that the inside which is quaint & brimming with opportunities for a redesign... was really dirty.... The waste basket, the tables , the glass ... so I thought if they aren't paying attention to cleaning ..the food is probably going to suck.... Since I grew up in the restaurant biz I really wanted to start cleaning because there's no excuse for not cleaning. NONE. Zippo Nada. Honestly I want to go in there & love up the place & make sure the best food & the best customer service is given. I want to buy this place!

Lots of open space to walk through without being too close to other peoples tables. We were able to seat ourselves, server came over right away, brought us menus. Even though we ordered everything at the same time appetizers included. The cheese bites were delicious and they came with a cheese sauce, which was also delicious. I definitely recommend those the pretzel was delicious. My kids gobbled it up before I could take a picture. The quesadilla was stuffed full of all kinds of goodies and had such a good flavor the buffalo bites had a good flavor as well came with ranch and blue cheese. The Caesar salad salad was mediocre but still good. My son really loved the burger. He got it looked good. He said it tasted amazing and my daughter got the macaroni and cheese and she said it was good as well.

I ordered the FUN GUY and it was so good I wanted to get another but I was extremely satisfied. The bread on the Grilled Cheese was sooo fluffy. The flavor was also more fun than a standard grilled cheese because instead of butter they use a honey aïoli, which isn't too sweet it's just perfect. And to absolutely HIT IT HOME, they have the most addicting French fries. They're not too crunchy or too soft with the perfect about of salt/seasoning. If I was having a bad day I could absolutely see myself coming here for those fries- but if every burger is as good as the Fun Guy I'll have to come back to try them all! They staff are all very nice, and fun to talk to. Helpful with what to choose (they have so many delicious looking options), but also know the small town well. The ambiance is exactly what I would want for a Sunday burger with my family, or a mid week quick fun date night! Next time I will need to try a shake because everyone that came in after me ordered one and they looked INCREDIBLE. A MUST TRY in Coeur d'Alene, I've also heard they have a location in Sandpoint!

Ordered from guy in his 20's with brown shoulder length hair, maybe 15 mins in the sun and finally went inside, they didn't have our order; said the order taker 'Darren' maybe? was busy - asked if our order was coming and the girl shrugged. No offer for a manager, no refund, gave us a free custard card. No offer to find this busy Darren to check in on it. Just going to dispute the charge with my credit company instead of waiting another 15 mins to get it made. Should have offered a refund, paid for a free treat coupon I guess?
