If I could give zero stars, I would. Our original installation appointment with Ziply was scheduled for October 2024, and it has been rescheduled 14 times since then. I just received another automated text pushing it out yet again - this time to June 17th. To be clear, Ziply has confirmed three times that they can service our area, so that's not the issue. The complete lack of follow-through and communication has been beyond frustrating. I've never experienced anything like this with a service provider. I'll be calling on Monday to cancel and stick with Xfinity.. at least they actually show up. Save yourself the headache and look into another internet provider. read more

Absolutely unacceptable experience with Ziply Fiber. We called ahead of time and scheduled our cancellation for the 24th. During that call, we were explicitly told there would be no remaining balance and no further charges after that date. Based on that information, we canceled our service. Fast forward--now we're being hit with another bill and forced to make an additional payment due to their mistake. No explanation, no accountability. Just a shady charge after being told we owed nothing. Ziply either lied or is completely incompetent when it comes to handling account closures and billing. I switched to Ziply, and had nothing but difficulties. The automatic payment never worked, which meant I couldn't get the automatic payment discount. Every single month, I had to call to do a payment and ask for the discount. Finally, I decided to switch to another ISP. I told Ziply I needed to port the number to the new ISP, it is a number I ported in to Ziply. So far I have spent over 6 hours on the phone (3 days) trying to get the number ported over. After 2.5 hours on the phone today, Ziply says they need to send someone to my house and that I need to be home for this. I am so sick of this and of Ziply's empty apologies. Ziply Fiber SUCKS!!!! I wanted to cancel service on April 9th and they said that if I didn't cancel by the 1st of April I would be billed for another full months service. The representative stated it was system generated and they can't pro-rate for a partial, month. WHAT??? You've got to be kidding me... So I told her cancel the service and we will hot spot to our cell phones for internet before I would give them any more money. What horrible customer service is that? I had also called them a few months ago as they promised me $70/ month for the next full year, for being loyal customer. Then when the took a rate increase last month, they raised mine the $5 as well. Telling me that's all their system will allow is a $30 loyalty fee discount. Even though I told them that I was never told it was a $30 discount, it was an agreement to $70 flat bill for a year. Got told again there was nothing they could do. I have had Ziply for a few years, both home phone & internet, since they bought out Frontier in my area. Generally, until today, I have found them to be pretty good, and I have been really happy with the FIOS internet. I have discovered the hard way [x2 $500+ charges] that international calling only applies to Mexico & Canada, but UK is charged at $3.10 PER MINUTE. This seems predatory. Even if you pay for international calling plan, they charge $1.10 PER MINUTE! PLEASE check the fees charged under ViOP, as this is the category they list them. read more

As internet providers go, I love Ziply. I just had a tech in my garage today and he upgraded the box coming into the house and added a box for cord management because he thought it would look better. It does btw. Xifinity was the worst but I've had Ziply for years across multiple residences and they've always been really professional, friendly, and work hard to make things right when there is a problem. Seeing advertised cost of $65, and paying $91, I tried getting an answer from Ziply for the reason. The best answer I could get from their chat service was because I have a DSL line, not the fiber optic service that they advertise, and because they charge me an additional $15 / month to rent their router was their response. Our internet service went down on 2/18. I contacted customer care that evening, and they promptly scheduled a service technician to visit our home on 2/19. However, later that evening, the appointment was canceled, and I was informed that the issue was due to a widespread outage affecting multiple customers, which needed to be resolved before service could be restored. After that, there was no further communication until I followed up on 2/20. At that point, I was given the same update--that it was a broader outage and that efforts were underway to fix it. On the morning of 2/21, around 8 AM, I received a text stating that a service technician would visit our home to assess the issue. He arrived around 2 PM and informed us that the outage was caused by a broken pole in front of our street. He then submitted a ticket for the appropriate team to handle the repair. After that, there was no further update until 2/25, when I came across reviews on Yelp mentioning that Ziply customers were advised to email "SocialCare@ziplyfiber.com" for assistance. I reached out via email, detailing the entire issue. However, after 48 hours, I received the same response, which I am quoting below: " On Feb 27, 2025, at 12:06PM, SocialCare@ziplyfiber.com wrote: Hello. I appreciate the update. I do see notes that they are requesting this to be completed. It was damage at the pole. I refreshed your ticket and will monitor for updates. " At this point, it feels like we are back to square one. I have been given the same explanation for the past ten days, yet there seems to be no clear path to resolution. While I understand that these issues can take time, I would appreciate more proactive communication and a concrete timeline for when this matter will be resolved. It's definitely not a surprise to see 85% one star review for this business. Epic!!!!! Update 2/28: The incompetence continues. Despite repeatedly informing them via email and customer service calls, they still sent a technician to my home this afternoon--only for them to repeat the exact same explanation I heard from the previous technician on 2/21. Everyone seems fully aware that the issue is due to pole damage and has nothing to do with my home, yet they keep stalling by recycling the same excuse week after week instead of actually fixing the problem. I wish Yelp had a zero-star or negative rating option. Update 3/2: On 3/1 at around 10 AM, I was able to connect with some executives at Ziply, and I was genuinely impressed by their swift response. They immediately investigated the issue and, despite it being the weekend, ensured it was fully resolved in less than 12 hours. Just canceled Zipley. In less than two years my bill has jumped from $67 to $91 and that's for dsl. When I called to cancel I was told even though I was only 4 days into the new billing cycle I would be charged for the whole month. We have lived in different states over the last few years and this was the worse internet service we've had. Look elsewhere if you can. read more

I'm on my 3rd location with Ziply and they've been excellent every single time! The cost/value proposition that they offer is excellent! Significantly less cost than Xfinity with significantly higher performance! What else can you ask for? Uptime - I've never had my Ziply service go down, even during a power outage that lasted an entire weekend my fiber service was up and running - kept my wifi online with battery backups. I pay for 1gbps service and I consistently get 1gbps speeds, it never slows down regardless of the time of day I'm using the internet. read more

Horrible customer service. I cancelled my service on March 7th. On March 26th, they charged me for the entire month. I have contacted them 5 times about my refund. I was told that as of May 6th, I would receiving a refund in 14-30 days. I've called to follow up as I did not receive my refund, was told it's coming as a prepaid gift card from a third party and was given a bogus number to contact this third party to inquire about my refund. Send a complaint at the end of June to BBB. Ziply replied with lies that I was billed on the 1st of the month, which is why I had been charged the full month; untrue, I was charged on the 26th of the month, 19 days post cancelling service. They are horrible. I also don't want a gift card reimbursement. Such a pain and getting no where just the continued response of "it takes 14-21 days for refunds to arrive". I just wanted to ask you if you knew you have zipley fiber (whatever) in your neighborhood." I already had an encounter with your workers a few months earlier where they were rude to me. Please tell these Zipley people to cease and desist. They are frustrating. This is the most uncommunicative customer service I've ever experienced from a company. My family has been trying to get Ziply Fiber installed since October 2024, but at the end of January 2025 nothing has yet to be installed. We have scheduled and rescheduled at least four times for an installation agent to come to my home, only to have no one show up each time, with absolutely no communication. I have reached out to ziply fiber customer service on at least ten (10) separate occasions to find out the status of the installation technician or why the technician never arrived to my home for the installation. Many times the text customer service agents will say things such as 'rest assured we promise you an tech will be at your home today' , 'the tech must be running late, please try and reach out to us again if they do not arrive two (2) hours after there scheduled appointment time.' When I follow up with Ziply fiber through a phone call after the tech never showed up, they respond with a canned message about how 'engineering needs to look into my line.' If Ziply fiber is unable to come to my home during the time scheduled time frame, it is their responsibility and courtesy to let me know. The customer service that I received from Ziply Fiber is unacceptable. This is sad as I heard good things about their actual service. read more

The WA State Attorney General should be investigating Ziply's deceptive billing practices. We received a Ziply statement dated December 25, 2024 on January 21, 2025, the day payment was due. So we can expect another $13.11 late payment fee. This is the second month in a row that this has occurred. Ziply has also conveniently eliminated a return envelope with the statement. The company is either hopelessly incompetent, or it is deliberately witholding statements to enrich itself with late payment fees, or both. Either way, an investigation and court-ordered correction is needed. read more

Was supposed to have new service installed at my address, went online had everything set up to be done and when the tech arrived he informed us that he couldn't do it because the company had forgot to install the mains down 1/2 of my street. Literally 500 ft from my house. There are only 4 houses in the missed area. Really forgot, my a@#. Have switched to Ziply in August 2024 and everything worked until the tree fell down and broke all cables (it was a month after the bomb cyclone). the customer support has been terrible as we have no clue when we can get it fixed, they schedule a technician visit, and no one comes, we contact to check on progress and they cannot figure out whether technician is coming or not and what is going on. they don't care if customer's security system is down due to no internet, if customer is working from home and the internet is crucial for that. they don't offer any back up internet options like hot spots or anything to make up for 2+ weeks outage and cannot even send anyone to actually check what the problem is. the only thing they offered is bill adjustment for the time the service was down Update: we got a call from the technician an hour later after the review and sending the info to the email contact in the reply. 3 hrs later the service has been restored. read more

Horrible Customer Service!! Only tried their service for 1 day. It did not provide the Bandwidth I required so I canceled the service after only 1 day (Oct 30). When I canceled (Oct 31) I was informed that because I was inside the monthly billing cycle nothing was due and the equipment will be picked up. I NEVER received a bill. Yesterday (Dec 15) I received a notice for an outstanding balance. When I called today I was notified that my account has already been sent to a Collection Agency. When I request to speak to a customer service representative to complain I was told that because my account has been sent for collection that I could not be connected to anyone. Absolutely ridiculous way to do business. DO NOT TRY THIS PROVIDER!! I was not informed of the limited service available at time of ordering service and obviously their billing department is messed up!! read more

I have had my landline broken more in the past 2 months than working, i keep putting in repair tickets but there is 2 bad lines at the node i was told by the technician and it cost to much for ziply to fix so my phone will just keep going out, so i either cancel or just keep putting in repair tickets and hope they will fix it someday. I am not a customer. They are now installing Ziply in my neighborhood. A man came to the door last night while my family and i ate dinner to let us know there would be construction going on on our street. My wife had gone to the door to talk to him, and he told her that once the street level install had been done, they would be by the next week to run the line to our house and install the box on the side of the house. She said "no, we are happy with what we have. Don't install anything on our house". He insisted that it was just incase we wanted it later, it was no big deal, we are not being signed up for anything. She again said we don't want anything installed on our house. He didn't take no for an answer until I piped up and said directly "NO! You will not be installing anything on our house!" He said he would make a note of that and quickly left. I do not like being TOLD i am having something installed on my house by a private company that i have done no business with and have not contacted. I do not like having a company not take no for an answer from my wife. I have to assume had i not been there, they would have ignored her and just done what they want anyway. read more

I would have given them 5 stars because the service and price are excellent and here's the but: 1. It took 8 months to get the permit to lay the fiber. Admittedly that could all be an issue with the government entities but since I live in a very populated area I believe other's got service much more quickly, I'm reserving final judgement on this aspect. 2. And I had to be persistent about the type of service I wanted (true fiber to the premises). The technicians are incredibly wonderful and empowered to satisfy the customer! They employ both "onshore" and "offshore" customer service employees and to date, I've not found offshore employees of any entity to be satisfactory but have predominantly found onshore ones to be excellent. read more

Ziply has overcharged me multiple times and would not fix it. After the initial promotional year of $20/month the price went up to $45 which I could not afford so I called to cancel service. They offered a discount to $25/month if I continued service so I did, but only received one bill at that amount and then the price went up to $65/month. I called to ask them to change it and was told they were not able to so I asked to end service immediately. I was told I had already paid for the month so service would be disconnected on the 7th of the following month. I then received another bill and charge to my account so I called to ask why and was told that the bill at the end of the month pays for the previous month. My service ended yesterday and I just got a bill for $10 for a partial month of service saying my disconnect was today so I called again and they did say I don't owe it, but what a frustrating experience! read more

They'll up their monthly prices then when you have an issue with their hardware you won't be able to get a hold of a customer service agent for over an hour. Then finally they'll set you up with a technician to come out to fix their equipment, the technician will never show up, and youll find out that technician called out sick that day because it's raining. read more
