Great service, until you want to cancel. Even after cancelling with them, they'll still charge you and tell you "you didn't tell us soon enough." Keep in mind, I gave them a full month of warning to just "flip a switch." I'm not even kidding, they will refuse to just let you leave in peace even when you have NONE of their equipment and can see that your daily bandwidth usage is absolutely nothing. Additionally, they engage in the suspicious business practices like charging $10 for what should be a $90 bill, simply to NOT use autopay. They call it a "processing fee." Of course, their payment system is fully automated on their end, so it's just a scam to take more of your money later. read more

Drop work failed after 48 hours and now I have no internet, no phone service, no home security. I had also called them a few months ago as they promised me $70/ month for the next full year, for being loyal customer. Installing in my neighborhood. Dumped rocks in over my pipes. Art (kittiphum Panprom) promised last week he would have that rock gravel removed and replaced with dirt or sand today. I called him this morning and confirmed he was coming and told him to ring the doorbell when he arrived since I wanted to watch and make sure all that pebble fill was removed and my water pipe was okay. I was told there were only 2 crews in my area and I would have to wait a week for someone to come to our house. It's been a while so posting an update. Internet service has been rock solid, and speeds consistent, which is what you want of course. I've had to call support a couple times with questions and most of the time got good answers, except the last time I called about upgrading my service and got answers that conflicted with the website. Another gripe I have is they "upgraded" their customer portal a while back but removed the entire section for managing my phone service. So I can't do anything online with it any more- listen to voicemail, change blocking etc. Have to do that through IVR. AND the feature to turn on and off simultaneous ring - which is needed for Nomorobo - is only accessible by opening a tech chat. I need to toggle that service sometimes. Which means I'm now moving my land line to another VOIP service (let's not get into why I still have a landline, let's just blame on being a Boomer). read more

Shout out to the best internet provider we can get Ziply! Until now that Starlink is available in our area . They didn't show up to my scheduled appointment after it took me 2 hours just to talk to someone to make that appointment. Even though they had no plans to show up. Oh but I wasn't surprised as they didn't show up to the last 3 prior appointments either. We are short technicians because they called out sick...wow heard that story before. I got to waste 4 hours waiting for them today. They lie to you saying there coming. Oh wait you're part of a common issue so we are working on it we just didn't care to let you know we will not be sending a tech out to your house. But I am the only one that is the common issue when my neighbors have there's back. Oh yeah and last time this happened same excuses and 3 weeks later I finally got service back that took them 2 minutes to reset it at the main office. They have the best customer service ever and I am so grateful and lucky to get to have their step up above dial up service for $85 a month. and there customer support care so much they just read off a script and collect a paycheck. We have a deeded 30-foot easement on our circa 1915 family farm that was granted to the phone company in the 1980s and is now granted to Ziply. We pay the taxes on the easement. Regardless, the deed states they cannot damage our property; Ziply has oversprayed the boundary of the easement and damaged a huge part of our land. We gave that easement in good faith and are now being vandalized by the very company we thought we were helping, Ziply. Ziply is not taking our calls, and the Oregon Utility Commissioner cannot get them to respond. Ziply states they do not have a department that sprays, but I saw the Ziply employee in a marked truck spray the area. They sprayed 101 English Loral on our land we had planted together 25 years ago. It was 15 feet tall. My husband is in hospice care, and this loss has deeply disturbed him. Seniors and those in hospice do not deserve to be vandalized in this manner by a company that is supposed to be doing good for the community. Ziply is not what they say. They are a terrible and unsafe company. When I subscribed to their service, the price was $49. A couple of years later, they hiked it to $55. Then to $60, now - $75. They demanded credit card number for a $10 discount so in fact, they charge $85. This outfit abuses its virtual monopoly in our market which is illegal. I switched to Ziply, and had nothing but difficulties. The automatic payment never worked, which meant I couldn't get the automatic payment discount. Every single month, I had to call to do a payment and ask for the discount. Finally, I decided to switch to another ISP. I told Ziply I needed to port the number to the new ISP, it is a number I ported in to Ziply. So far I have spent over 6 hours on the phone (3 days) trying to get the number ported over. Customer service is horrible! They continuously have problems with billing and will add things on there without you noticing. Always check the bill before paying. Only reason why I stay with them is they keep giving me a discount when I have issues...which is ALL the time! My neighborhood personal rep came to our door to sell Ziply-Fios. I told them I did not want to sign up for a service change until I had done some research. They told me they would schedule a install in the street and I would not have to open an account or have the install to our home. As soon as the rep left, I did some quick research, and found the problems I had with Frontier were the same Ziply customers were complaining of. I immediately cancelled any installation, sending it in a text to the phone number my personal rep said he would always respond to in a timely manner. The same number he told me to call instead of customer service, since he was more reliable than the customer service people. I later received an email with a full installation scheduled for our home, and a bill. A second email congratulating me for joining Ziply and a password to my new account. I called my personal neighborhood rep's phone number and asked for a call back. After not getting the call , I called customer service and after a short run around, I had the install cancelled. Scheduled installation, after seeing many ziply trucks in the area. They told me they service my area, so I scheduled. End of week one, tech arrives, acting like they would rather be scrubbing a toilet than to be here. Looks around, then he says, I can't instal here, there is nowhere to install. We find the place outside that they need to hook up, nope, can't do it. He leaves. I call, tell them we need someone out here that has installed at our complex, since this person did not know how and we have seen other techs out here. After 30 minutes on the phone, they say, someone will call me back and rescheduled me for a week out. No one called me back, next tech shows up and same thing, he was much nicer, but same thing....He said he needed to drive to a town next to ours to get a key to get into the box outside. Never came back, and we rescheduled AGAIN, for a week out. Next tech shows up, same thing.....I am done, nothing is worth all this. Bad review before they even did the install. I made an install appointment and they have in writing you will get a confirmation text the day before. That confirmation never came. it was THEN I decided to check their customer reviews and they are really bad. This convinced me to cancel my install appointment. I called their support which identified my account by the phone number I was calling from. The rep asked me to spell my first and last name and it took more than 5 minutes for him to get a simple name correct. Im not kidding that I spent 15 minutes with him just to TRY and cancel the install appointment. After 15 minutes he said he would transfer me to the department that can help me. I have had Ziply for a few years, both home phone & internet, since they bought out Frontier in my area. Generally, until today, I have found them to be pretty good, and I have been really happy with the FIOS internet. I have discovered the hard way [x2 $500+ charges] that international calling only applies to Mexico & Canada, but UK is charged at $3.10 PER MINUTE. This seems predatory. Even if you pay for international calling plan, they charge $1.10 PER MINUTE! PLEASE check the fees charged under ViOP, as this is the category they list them. read more

The best answer I could get from their chat service was because I have a DSL line, not the fiber optic service that they advertise, and because they charge me an additional $15 / month to rent their router was their response. Our internet service went down on 2/18. I contacted customer care that evening, and they promptly scheduled a service technician to visit our home on 2/19. However, later that evening, the appointment was canceled, and I was informed that the issue was due to a widespread outage affecting multiple customers, which needed to be resolved before service could be restored. After that, there was no further communication until I followed up on 2/20. At that point, I was given the same update--that it was a broader outage and that efforts were underway to fix it. On the morning of 2/21, around 8 AM, I received a text stating that a service technician would visit our home to assess the issue. He arrived around 2 PM and informed us that the outage was caused by a broken pole in front of our street. He then submitted a ticket for the appropriate team to handle the repair. After that, there was no further update until 2/25, when I came across reviews on Yelp mentioning that Ziply customers were advised to email "SocialCare@ziplyfiber.com" for assistance. I reached out via email, detailing the entire issue. However, after 48 hours, I received the same response, which I am quoting below: " On Feb 27, 2025, at 12:06PM, SocialCare@ziplyfiber.com wrote: Hello. I appreciate the update. I do see notes that they are requesting this to be completed. It was damage at the pole. I refreshed your ticket and will monitor for updates. " At this point, it feels like we are back to square one. I have been given the same explanation for the past ten days, yet there seems to be no clear path to resolution. While I understand that these issues can take time, I would appreciate more proactive communication and a concrete timeline for when this matter will be resolved. When I called to cancel I was told even though I was only 4 days into the new billing cycle I would be charged for the whole month. Horrible customer service. I cancelled my service on March 7th. On March 26th, they charged me for the entire month. I have contacted them 5 times about my refund. I was told that as of May 6th, I would receiving a refund in 14-30 days. I've called to follow up as I did not receive my refund, was told it's coming as a prepaid gift card from a third party and was given a bogus number to contact this third party to inquire about my refund. Send a complaint at the end of June to BBB. Ziply replied with lies that I was billed on the 1st of the month, which is why I had been charged the full month; untrue, I was charged on the 26th of the month, 19 days post cancelling service.
