The service is the worst then any others. I couldn't get anyone out here to look at my service. They couldn't get my phone right,I was never able to access my service I couldn't once a month. However they suspended me after I had asked to cancel my service, so I'm not sure what that's about I canceled my service. I would never recommend this company to anyone they suck read more

Ziply is faster than Comcast/Xfinity, in my case. I chose their slowest speed and it beat them easily. Install took under an hour, and was very simple. Best of all, my current system is still there in case I need to switch to it. I can keep that till I'm sure I'm satisfied, though I have to pay xfinity to do that. The first year of Ziply I get my 100/100 mb service (for roku, email, facebook, basic internet) for 10$ a month the first 3 months, then 20$ a month to end of year, at which time is goes up to 50$. But currently I'm paying 66$ a month with xfinity. Roku is my biggest bandwidth app, and it only uses about 10 mb. Ok so far it is very solid and definity faster than my old system. They told me they would give me 300/300 free for the first few months just to show me what they could do. It does make a difference in overall speed of the computer, even booting it up is faster. I haven't seen any slowdowns or herky-jerky pictures, nothing to complain about at all. Ziply uses your old landline connection, or at least they did for me. They found it, tested it and gave me some wire to run, since my computer was about 25 feet from the only phone jack, but they left me 2 pieces of wire and a splicer so it all worked out fine, I just ran it under the carpet, and you don't see it. That only took me about 30 minutes to set up the free Ziply modem and connect it to my router, plug in the modem and done. DONE. It just worked. I have my old gear sitting right next to it, not connected to the router, and I've been using it most of the day, while making coffee, going in and out of the house, came home and it's still running quietly and unobtrusively, almost like it's not there. We have Ziply Fiber for internet and phone. We had it switched over to fiber at the end of August of 2024 from DSL. Since then we have had 2 service interruptions which have let to no phone or internet. This last occurrence started on 10/10/24 when we lost phone and internet, checked with Ziply and they said there was an outage but there wasn't when no one else around had service still. Told to wait and see if the outage was fixed, never was. Got ahold of Ziply again to schedule a service call since all the troubleshooting couldn't resolve the issue. Got a service appointment on 10/14/24 for 1-5pm window and no one arrived, Tech then called around 6:30pm to let me know he wouldn't be able to come since he was out in Beaverton and we are in gaston. He would try to come out the following day to check things out. He did arrive by 5:20pm on 10/15/24. Upon inspecting the pole that the fiber was coming off of to our house, he informed us that Ziply took our port and gave it to our neighbor and now we don't have a port available for our phone/internet. We would need to have another one added by Ziply with a bucket truck. Called Ziply to speak to a supervisor to escalate things to get things resolved. They informed me they emailed someone in the offline department and I should hear from them within 24hrs. I still have not heard from anyone regarding coming out today to get things checked out or fixed as they stated it would be. We live in a rural area with no cell service and need to have a landline or internet. I have a child who I need to be able to communicate with others or her in the case of an emergency. I spoke with supervisor Kacey ID # 811194 from Ziply and haven't heard a word from her either. CAS-190241-M3D8K9.  Had the ticket remain open and another tech came out in 10/7/24 and determined another drop needed to be done with the engineering department. They stated it could take a week or weeks to get anything done, no one for reference to call or anything. I was told I would know eventually if or when I had service when it happened. What a joke! I filed a complaint with the utilities commission and haven't heard a word from Ziply on anything else.  As of 10/18/24 I have been able to reach out to another local Ziply employee who has done work out at our house before when it was originally changed over to fiber from DSL. He is looking into things with his supervisor to see how we can get another drop put in with the engineering department. read more

Very happy overall with the value proposition, only writing a review to warn people that this is *not* a tier-1 service, meaning if your internet needs are critical this is not the service for you. We had someone staying with us who was in hospice. We do not have cell service, so we rely on the internet for critical communication (phone calls and messages). In the year we have had the service, it only went out once, but when it did we were put in the queue and told it would take a couple of days to roll a truck (even though I explained the situation). They did come out and fix it as promised (equipment failure upstream of us) and it would have just been an inconvenience other than the situation at the time. If your situation is such that any downtime is critical, this is not the service for you (if you just want to watch "Ted Lasso" and play Skyrim, it rocks). *** Updating in reply to Ziply's reply. I think what they mean is that the timing doesn't depend on the "reason" for the outage, but rather the number of users impacted. I asked for clarification, but have not yet received a response. In most cases, they won't know the reason for the outage until they do a truck roll (once they have done basic verification that the on-prem equipment is operating correctly). In my case, I was told it was a bad jumper cable in their upstream equipment. read more

Worst internet service I have ever dealt with.. have the second level which is more expensive than what I had through xfinity and only 4 devices use it .. two I phones a laptop and a Roku fire stick.. billing keeps going up without warning and constantly having lagging and buffering issues when even just 3 items are using it.. this is such a rip off and the only reason I signed up was cuz it cape pre installed in my new build apartment but will be going back to xfinity after this next billing cycle cuz I'm sick of this. Service is inconsistent, loss of service daily, and almost impossible to get someone who can speak English on the phone. Last time they sent someone out to fix it the person had to use google translate to speak to me and I found out it was his first week on the job and he was supposed yo have a trainer with him but they had split the jobs up because their workload was so big and they were behind. Guy had no clue what to do and spent most of the time on the phone with a translator who was speaking back and forth with someone at the home office to walk him through the job. I would choose another provider if you have an option. read more

If I could literally give these people a zero I would from the very first time I started with them I had complete and utter annoying interruptions like just spinning spinning spinning on my TV constantly so I would have people out here over and over and over again and I mean at least a good 10 times to fix the problem come to find out they installed my wiring wrong so once I got the wiring fixed it became a little bit better and then I started making payments some of you might know what a u card is through your insurance which I was told that they accept it for almost 6 months I was making a $60 payment to them for them to turn around and tell me that they were going to disconnect me because I haven't made one payment but it took them 6 months to even inform me that I wasn't making payments so then I got behind do they want to take responsibility at all no credit for almost $600 that I then they decided to shut my internet off after constantly telling me that they would not shut it off because they understood that as long as I made a little payment over what was due each month that my internet would be okay yesterday they decided to shut me off on Thanksgiving because I didn't make the rest of the payment of $238 so I made $100 payment yesterday told I would have my internet back on I just had to wait till Friday which I did I waited all day today for a manager to call not a supervisor okay there is a difference no call I just got off the phone with them it wasn't even a manager it was a supervisor and it is a big difference and at the end of this back and forth back and forth and so much stress with these people they are not going to turn my internet back on yesterday if they would have just said hey if you finish the 138.00 will get you back on but that was never said so I waited all day with no internet being a single mom of three kids in this house already stressful enough because it's the Thanksgiving holiday you know and in the end of all of this they're not turning me back on I went shopping for Christmas presents with the little bit of money that I had if I would have just paid it yesterday they would have had my internet back on today but they didn't tell me that so now they're just 100% disconnecting me so pretty much if you want to ever think about going to ziply fiber I'm going to tell you right now do not ever ever ever ever ever I am not a person to do Yelps this is my first Yelp review I've ever done in my entire life I don't even know if I'm doing it right to be honest but here we are making my first job review because of how much stress and irritation simply fiber has added to my life is just insane read more

I do not appreciate the equipment being used by Ziply digging up my lawn next to the road as they install the underground cable. Furthermore, they will not fix the horrible ground that they messed up. In response to your comment that it will be repaired: When you dug a hole with a tractor, and you parked the tractor for the afternoon on my property not near the hole you dug, the grass near the road was ripped out. The hole was not even there. That's not courteous at all. If you repair it, plant new grass. I'll do it myself, because frankly if this is how Ziply operates, I don't know if I want to change from Comcast. read more

We only went with Ziply Fiber for our internet and landline because Xfinity/Comcast was going to have to pull cable to our new residence, which would have taken possibly a month, and Ziply was already "cabled" to the home. We've never been all that impressed with Ziply's service over the past two years (quite a few internet interruptions), but didn't have a big problem with them until November 2024, when their billing department was outsourced to a third party. (We pay Ziply $10 per month for a paper bill & its processing.) When I called their Customer "Care" number about not receiving our November 2024 paper bill, we were advised that the third-party provider just didn't mail it, and that Ziply apologized for that, but that Ziply was going to charge a late fee anyway for missing our Due Date by one day. Three phone calls later to Ziply's Customer "Care" department, we're still not receiving a paper bill and forced to get our statement via the internet and pay by phone --but still having to pay $10 for a paper bill + processing. So, as we stated in our last phone conversation with Ziply, we're fed up with them and are going to go back to Xfinity. We placed our order with Xfinity yesterday afternoon for internet + landline with paper billing. This morning we received a phone call from a Ziply representative who actually ranted about the fact that we chose to keep our landline phone number when we transfer to Xfinity, which apparently causes major problems for Ziply. After going back and forth with this rep for 15 minutes, we told her we were ending the phone call and didn't care what Ziply does with our service -- we just want to get rid of them. read more

internet service was good until it wasn't, which was always key times of the day. They seem to be sending some sort of reset signal to my router which disconnects it and requires a reboot. I tried 3 different routers thinking my hardware was the problem. In addition to this, contacting and using support? forget it. I had reported the same issue 3 times and asked for a support ticket to be generated so I wouldn't have to have the same conversation again when it reoccurred. No one would, and when I would call, there would be no record of the problem. When I decided to cancel, I tried the online chat. I requested it canceled to the first attendant, and then she hung up and another picked up. So i requested again. She wouldn't respond at all. So I tried calling their 866 number to cancel and got "voice assistance in your area is not available". What? So back to online chat I go. The 3rd person actually managed to cancel my account. The other thing, They will sign you up at a price, and that price will creep up without any notice at all. So, when it was a good value to begin with, the pricing soon outran the return. I actually just switched to T-Mobile. I get near the same bandwidth at under 1/2 of the cost. So long Ziply! read more

I switched and love them. I talked with the different people that came to my house and asked all of them about the horrible reputation they used to have. They all said Ziply had growing pains when they merged a few years back but they thought those problems were behind them and they all liked working for Ziply. The internet speed is amazing. I was with another company, paying for 1G speed and their tech service said, 2-300M is as good as you'll get. With Ziply I alway get 800M with a wireless connection. Unfortunately I cannot leave less than 1 star. The customer service is horrible, and the way I was treat was deplorable. I had this installed less than 48 hours ago and within the first 24 hours, the fiber internet goes out. I contact their tech support who run through a barrage of tier 1 simple support that takes over an hour ( is it turned on? etc. ) after getting through all of this, they tell me that they cant have anyone out until the next day because the techs only work till 5pm. While i understand the day shift, they don't even have after hours support, leaving customers stranded until the next day without connectivity. While this is all good for someone surfing the net ( not really), I work from home and rely on a stable connection in order to do so. This left me unable to do my job. The customer service could only tell me " well, that's just how it is" and the managers did no better. They promised to have a tech out at 8am sharp the next day and that did not happen. They have wasted 48 hours of my time and my ability to work and have done absolutely NOTHING but tell me to basically "Suck it up - we will get to you when we feel like it" What a horrible way to treat new customer. Second attempt to replace Xfinity. Same problems - their DNS servers are not stable. So if you want to use this service, you must use Google's public DNS servers (8.8.8.8) and (8.8.4.4.) - https://developers.google.com/speed/public-dns/. The company seems to ignore all the constructive feedback - blaming the customer (me) for issues with connectivity. I am currently awaiting my 4th visit to install Ziply Fiber. I just received a text stating they will be late. It is only one hour into the four hour window. We are getting ready to cancel the entire order. The execution since ordering has been a complete debacle. The contractor does not communicate with Ziply. They are NOT customer service oriented. This is their fourth visit to our house and it is not complete. They drilled into the wrong room I am told be the actually Ziply rep. That has yet to be fixed. We now have a random bare wire in our son's room (no plate). Stay way from Ziply if you have another alternative. read more

Ziply has huge issues with being able to do accurate billing. I have spent hours on the phone with them to correct their mistakes - one mistake was that $20+$12=$50. And then they don't correct my invoice, they give a credit that creates a new random invoice amount. I wanted to like them and use their network, but between their questionable sales force that makes promises of prices that are NOT communicated to the main office and the repeated billing issues, I am heading back to Comcast, unfortunately. read more

We took Ziply up last year on their offer to install fiber for free and we would get like 3 months for free to try them out. Their service never connected, in spite of calls to their truly useless customer support. So, we canceled service and went back to Xfinity who gave us an even better deal - that work! The first appointment I had tried to set up was removed without my notice even though they showed on their side that it was removed. The second appointment started ok. However, the technician told me one thing about them contacting me to help further due to broken cables and the customer service company said another. Zipley was supposed to contact me before continuing so I could make the decision to continue on or not and THEY DIDN'T CONTACT ME. I've had a big problem with ziply fiber, and they keep charging me for time. The phone was not working. And I tried to get a credit back from them and they refused to do it now they want me to pay 2200 or I who will go and get a bad credit review, every time i try to contact them. I get an email from a nasty woman belinda smiley, who refuses to look at the records to see how long my phones have been down and they bill me each month while i'm trying to get this credit and my bill net is over twenty two hundred threatening to turn me over two collections, i went through the front door again and contacted a vice president and told them about the problem and they turned me over to this nasty woman belinda, smiley again and she refuses to give me a phone call.I wouldn't use this company for any reason at all.You're better off just paying for cell phones, i need zippery to contact me. What a joke. I have been with Ziply for decades starting when they came by my house, knocked on my door telling me they are putting in copper fiber and asked if I wanted to be a customer. I signed on for both my land line (yes I still have one) and internet. This post is mainly about my phone. Phone service has been going out periodically the past few months but miraculously had fixed itself within the hour. Last week it stopped working to the point I had to make that frustrating contact to tech support. First call was to Rheme (sp?) this 30 min fiasco included being put on hold for him to reach out to their "network team." After 10 min he disconnected the call and never called back. That took me to Frances (tech support), another waste of time lasting over 30 min. Then tried to reach them through their website which is an extreme joke. Then the 4th attempt was Irish if that was her name. During this challenge my phone line could accept calls but when dialing out got a busy signal. She reached out to tech support who completely shut down my phone so if someone called it just rang and rang and rang. She scheduled tech support to come out next day which I appreciated and they did. The tech guy when opening the box asked me who unplugged one of the plugs and my response after not really knowing what he was talking about was "most likely the previous tech guy" He acted as if I or someone got into their box. Something was wrong with their system from what he said. However what he did was disable copper wire service of which I was grandfathered in and put my phone on internet I believe. NOT what I asked for and he did so WITHOUT my approval. I know Ziply was trying to discontinue copper wire service with their long time customers. Shame on him for not asking me. AFTER ZIPLY CAME OUT JUST NOTICED MY CALLER ID IS NO LONGER WORKING OR THE OTHER FEATURES I HAVE HAD FOR DECADES. Another Ziply review Have had service now for a little while. This is the 5th time since my last complaint that service is hard down. The 5th time I have had to spend an hour going from representative to representative. Every time along the way having to slog through the "did you try unplugging it"? "Did you restart your computer?" Now they are sending out a technician who of course only comes during normal working hours for most people. He will find nothing wrong with the service equipment and I will have to wait another day or two for someone who only works day hours to fix whatever hub/node I am on remotely. After the conversation with their employee (who was very well trained), I realized that I can't afford $60/mo. And suddenly, there are hidden fees, you have to rent the router, you have to pay the installation fee, etc. My real issue is that they are way too aggressive! I'm glad I never signed anything. Even after I tried to opt out, they are still calling me at least once every morning, and coming to knock on my door every day, sometimes more than once, sometimes very aggressively. I'm schizoaffective, with bipolar disorder and PTSD. A knock on the door, when I'm not expecting anyone, sends me into a state of panic. I don't need this crap. This is the same thing I went through several times as a buyer for a large grocery chain. They will push and push and push, even if they lose money in the deal. So I just cancelled by account with Ziply. I would guess four years ago they were making a big thing about getting rid of DSL (copper) for fiberoptic. Well, three years ago I did a whole house reno and put in all the cables needed. Yep...three years later, STILL no fiber. I spoke to one of their installers and was told that since my existing phonelines are underground, Ziply didn't want to spend the money in my neighborhood. I spoke to one of their business account people (regarding two business accounts I oversee) and was told where he lives Ziply has the fiber running down the street in front of his house, but even he can't get it. He had to go with Comcast. The final straw was that Ziply increased my bill for phone and internet $30 per month. So...$360 per year. Why? Well, it seems I'm still on their copper and it costs them more. REALLY?! Ziply promised fiber which was supposed to reduce my cost, but because the bean counters don't want to spend the money to provide a service they've been touting for four years, the consumer gets ripped off. I was told that if I wanted to get fiber to my neighborhood I could get a petition going with my neighbors and Ziply would "consider it". I'm sorry...you promise something and fail to follow through, you increase my monthly to accommodate the higher cost of copper lines you failed to upgrade. I was also told by a business rep that their headquarters (in Everett, WA) has minimal customer service reps. Why? People don't want to work (shocker there). So most everything is outsourced to countries where English is the third or fourth language. So, thanks Ziply! You've lost me as a customer because of the poor customer service, the ongoing increase in my phone bill, and the failure to provide promised upgrades with no follow through. I changed my Internet to T-Mobile which so far has been faster and lest costly. read more

I live in rural Washington county and beside satellite Ziply is our only other option for internet. It is absolutely awful. Over the past month our internet has been down as much as is been working. Their customer service is also easier to reach and more competent at their job. My household needs high download and high upload speed for professional software development and multimedia work. We also frequently need to do multiple simultaneous online video calls and high definition video streams. Comcast's meager 100 Mbps upload speed simply will not cut it, and all of Ziply Fiber's service tiers offer at least that much or higher upload speed. Also, Ziply Fiber typically has 5-8 ms latency and Comcast has 10-16 ms latency, which can be a noticeable difference during heavy use. Ziply Fiber has no contracts, and offers an intro price for the first year. Comcast requires a contract and only offers the intro price for the duration of the contract. Both of them go up to a higher price after the intro or contract period. Most of the time it's better to email than call these people. If you email them you can just talk into the phone like I'm doing now to send a message and it takes seconds and they get back to you in the next few days. If you call them your looking at 30 to 45 minutes minimum. And the results you get from either are the same. Nothing. A Ziply salesman came to our home to talk about their service. He seemed very personable...After he gave me his pitch, I told him we'd definitely look into it and asked if he had any information flier to give me with details, prices etc. He said because we were over 55, he had a great deal for us. He then gave me his card. He said first steps would be that the technicians would come out to see if we even had space for the conduit. He said we didn't need to be home for that and assured us that they would not do anything in terms of digging etc. if we were not home. He did not say this would be an installation. Later that day, I received a text prompting me to set up my Ziply account. I deleted the text without setting up an account. We had not agreed to the service yet. Then, I received another text stating our installation would occur on July 28th. I responded to this text with a request that they cancel the installation. Again, we had not decided to move forward. We followed up with an email to our salesman (Michael Long) letting him know that we were not ready to move forward without reviewing our options. We asked him to provide more information regarding prices, packages etc. He did send us some limited information. We decided to set up the installation for July 8th. However, upon reviewing our existing Internet service...we realized there would be 0 savings if we moved forward. On June 30th, we again emailed Michael with instructions to cancel the new (July 8th) appointment. He did not respond. Shortly after that, I received another text form the technicians who were evidently at our home and already working on getting the conduit dug as per our original appointment date which had evidently not been cancelled. They said they had knocked on our door and there was no answer (we were out of town at the time). I immediately texted back to tell them to cease any and all work! They texted back to verify this, and I again stated we did not want them to proceed. We arrived back in town on July 1st to find our yard littered with flags, painted lines all over the street and yard, and a portion of our lawn dug up. God knows what would have happened if we had not been on top of this. However, one good thing came from all this. We now know that we will not be moving our service to Ziply! read more

Beware of when you cancel you service with Ziply fiber and you are moving residence. There is one final bill you will receive including a $10.00 termination fee with they did not communicate at the time of termination. Ziply does not contact you via email or phone eventhough they have that contact infomation. The will only send you a final bill via USPS and if you have moved you can possibly not receive that bill. If the bill is not paid they will then send it to a collections agency possibly impact you credit and still no communication via phone or text. read more

We had ziply at our old place but our new place isn't in a zone that ziply services so we cancelled our service. When we cancelled we were told that we would get a prorated bill since we missed the billing cycle by one day. We waited and got a bill for the full amount. We called and asked if that was what we owed and were told again that we would get sent a prorated bill. Fast forward two month and five phone calls later, we call again and we are told that we got sent to collections. Before this, we never received a warning that we would be sent to collections if we didn't pay in full by a certain date and were told by ziply to wait and not pay the bills that were sent to us. So ziply gives us the number for collections but collections says they have no record of a bill for us. We call ziply back and the person at ziply tells us that they don't do prorated bills for internet. This is the first time that anyone has said this to us. They gave us a half heart "sorry", they don't try and help us, and they don't try to rectify their mistake. They just say that we have to wait until Monday and maybe collections will have our information by then. I would rather pay more a month for equal or better internet than ever have to use ziply services. In fact, if there was an ultimatum between ziply for internet or no internet, I would chose not to have internet. Been a Comcast customer for years and got tired of their exorbitant rates for tv and internet, along with their lousy service. Cut the cable altogether. Have fiber now, so much faster!!! Wish I could give 0 stars. They didn't show up for the installation appointment twice! I have been without Internet, waiting for them to come out for 3 weeks now. They called me yesterday and confirmed installation day and time. Then they didn't show up, didn't notify me, and kept me on the line for 40 minutes to only tell that they have to reschedule again. The social media manager Drew Wilson-McGrath is my hero for finally connecting the dots on Ziply's side. Internet speed is awesome. I just wish it wasn't so difficult to be a customer. They paid for some of their positive reviews Literally the worst internet provider ever I canceled with them a few weeks after they went from frontier to ziply. I canceled months ago and they still send me bills that they want me to pay for not having their services. I was told that Ziply was better than Comcast Xfinity. I had nothing but trouble from the very beginning. I attempted to take over service at my new home address and immediately after creating an account I was told that my order couldn't be processed. I spent a week of back/forth on the phone to get the previous account disconnected (even though the previous owner had already done that a month before and had email confirmation). I worked with customer service who said they would correct the issue and that I would get a call back the next day to set up service. I got no such call, but I did get repeated calls from the sales department asking me to call to confirm my address. It's clear to me the customer service and sales departments don't talk to each other. I had one failed attempt to resolve with someone from sales who parroted the same issue about a previous account existing. Finally, I spoke to a sales rep who was able to cancel the account, but said I had to wait a full day to set up a new account. We set up the new account and a date for the install. On the day of the install, after calling Ziply to inquire about my install window because 30 minutes were left I finally get a message that the technician was running late. One hour goes by. Two hours go by. The technician never shows and there is no update to the status. I decided I wanted internet immediately, so I went back to my Comcast account and activated new service at my address. Within an hour, I had set up all my old equipment and was using my high-speed internet. So much for Ziply's customer service, which they pride themselves on. read more

Unfortunately, Ziply is the only provider available for my home and the service has been terrible. I'd switch if I could and would never recommend this company. We live in a very rural area and cell service is not available at the house. We have to use a landline and Ziply is the only one. We've been customers for several years and have had many problems. Sometimes it's no service, sometimes it's static. Most recently, it's been weeks of ghost calls all day and into the night while I'm home trying to run a business and take care of my family. After several unsatisfactory calls to customer service, it continues. I think the local technician is good. My problem is with the company and their approach to customer service. Their advice? Simply has installed cable recently to our development. The workers dug up our yard to install and then proceeded to cut into our water main line. PUD was called to come out and they said that because of where the cut was made it is our responsibility. Supposedly the crew repaired the water line but we were without power flushing toilet for up to 3 hours. PUD was the not even sure if the line was repaired correctly. This needs to be fixed it's affecting two other neighbors as well. Thoroughly disappointed and disgusted on actions of the crew. No one mentioned it to us. My son was the one who notified there is no water in our house. Water has been restored but not sure if again the water main is fixed. Having PUD to check as well as we are having to check making sure that we're not spilling water . We just want this fixed properly not just a patch! The crew could not even speak english. Had to translate via phone . How is this even possible to not have a crew manager on site and no notification to homeowners when damage has been done ! We will be placing a complaint with BBB and notifying social media news media if this is not repaired immediately! read more
