I'm updating my review to 3 stars after finally getting service while waiting for 7 months with 4 no show install appointments. A Ziply salesman came to our home to talk about their service. He seemed very personable...After he gave me his pitch, I told him we'd definitely look into it and asked if he had any information flier to give me with details, prices etc. He said because we were over 55, he had a great deal for us. He then gave me his card. He said first steps would be that the technicians would come out to see if we even had space for the conduit. He said we didn't need to be home for that and assured us that they would not do anything in terms of digging etc. if we were not home. He did not say this would be an installation. Later that day, I received a text prompting me to set up my Ziply account. I deleted the text without setting up an account. We had not agreed to the service yet. Then, I received another text stating our installation would occur on July 28th. I responded to this text with a request that they cancel the installation. Again, we had not decided to move forward. We followed up with an email to our salesman (Michael Long) letting him know that we were not ready to move forward without reviewing our options. We asked him to provide more information regarding prices, packages etc. He did send us some limited information. We decided to set up the installation for July 8th. However, upon reviewing our existing Internet service...we realized there would be 0 savings if we moved forward. On June 30th, we again emailed Michael with instructions to cancel the new (July 8th) appointment. He did not respond. Shortly after that, I received another text form the technicians who were evidently at our home and already working on getting the conduit dug as per our original appointment date which had evidently not been cancelled. They said they had knocked on our door and there was no answer (we were out of town at the time). I immediately texted back to tell them to cease any and all work! They texted back to verify this, and I again stated we did not want them to proceed. We arrived back in town on July 1st to find our yard littered with flags, painted lines all over the street and yard, and a portion of our lawn dug up. God knows what would have happened if we had not been on top of this. However, one good thing came from all this. We now know that we will not be moving our service to Ziply! read more

Beware of when you cancel you service with Ziply fiber and you are moving residence. There is one final bill you will receive including a $10.00 termination fee with they did not communicate at the time of termination. Ziply does not contact you via email or phone eventhough they have that contact infomation. The will only send you a final bill via USPS and if you have moved you can possibly not receive that bill. If the bill is not paid they will then send it to a collections agency possibly impact you credit and still no communication via phone or text. read more

Unfortunately, Ziply is the only provider available for my home and the service has been terrible. I'd switch if I could and would never recommend this company. We live in a very rural area and cell service is not available at the house. We have to use a landline and Ziply is the only one. We've been customers for several years and have had many problems. Sometimes it's no service, sometimes it's static. Most recently, it's been weeks of ghost calls all day and into the night while I'm home trying to run a business and take care of my family. After several unsatisfactory calls to customer service, it continues. I think the local technician is good. My problem is with the company and their approach to customer service. Their advice? Turn off my ringer. Yeah, that will work great when clients call. Garbage. read more

A huge tree fell across our road, taking out power, comcast, and Ziply. The wires were on the ground, shredded by the stretching as the tree's immense weight yanked the cables apart. This was Saturday at 3pm. The power company showed up, and called in the highway department to clear the road and remove the tree. The power company then restrung their lines. Comcast then showed up and called their CableCom friends and together, they worked hours to get it up, on Sunday. Ziply said my problem was my telecom gear and I didn't know what I was doing. They'd come out Tuesday, just 4 days later, and if it wasn't really my fault, they wouldn't charge me for the visit. I told them wires were on the ground, and a tree had destroyed their wires. They still didn't care. I called Ziply customer service and told them that people who use their service for phone won't be able to call 911 and this is a serious deal. They just wasted 15 minutes of my time before I could talk to somebody who'd take a report. They said there is no way for them to open an outage. True to their word, the site still reports "NO OUTAGES IN YOUR AREA" and recommends you try troubleshooting your gear. The wires are still on the ground, not on the telephone pole. Years ago, the county mowed down a Frontier box, before ziply bought them, and Frontier said they'd be out in 4 days. They actually came out the same day. Customer support representatives would rather transfer you around and play with your patience and time as if it were a game rather than any priority to keep a customer. Lost one. Had service for a little over a year while I lived in Duvall, WA. Internet speeds were usually adequate for my needs but never anywhere close to the giga speeds advertised, and I have routing equipment more than capable of to handle it, as I'm getting it with my current provider with the same equipment. My big issue came when it was time to disconnect. It's been over a full month since ending my service and I'm still waiting for a refund of a full month's charge against my final partial month of service. Every time I talk with a rep they give me an excuse and tell me I have to wait. I wait and get a new excuse on why I have to wait longer. read more

Took over my mternet service from Frontier in early 2020 stating there would be no change in price. Turns out I was paying $50 a month more than the advertised rate for a couple years because I was "grandfathered in". With Frontier, I had premium TV services bundled in so internet was part of a package deal. Ziply ONLY offers internet so they broke that out and dropped the bundled pricing. I contacted them to make the correction but apparently there "is no way" they can reimburse me for overpaying and that is is the customer responsibility to alert them of pricing discrepancies. (But once they get your money, it's theirs) Going to small claims on principle.... these guys are as crooked as it gets. read more

THE MOST GARBAGE CUSTOMER SERVICE YOU COULD EVER COME ACROSS. I called to pay off the final balance and cancel my service back in January. Asked clearly asked if I'm absolutely done and if I'd receive any other billing in the mail and your representative clearly said NO. Next thing you know, I'm getting another bill for $88. I call again to get an answer, requesting to speak to manager after already being on hold for 45 minutes. I wait a WHOLE OTHER HOUR just to get a 'he's busy with other clients, can he call you back.' I also clearly asked 'do you PROMISE he'll give me a call back?' to which she said 'Yes' (which I have video recording of). I went another two weeks with no response. I call AGAIN, and this representative said that I was cleared of all charges and that I didn't owe anything. Just for me to get a bill from debt collectors months later for said $88. Nobody knows what they're doing, the install was horrendous, service was slow, and they don't care about their customer satisfaction or training level of their employees. I was told that Ziply was better than Comcast Xfinity. I had nothing but trouble from the very beginning. I attempted to take over service at my new home address and immediately after creating an account I was told that my order couldn't be processed. I spent a week of back/forth on the phone to get the previous account disconnected (even though the previous owner had already done that a month before and had email confirmation). I worked with customer service who said they would correct the issue and that I would get a call back the next day to set up service. I got no such call, but I did get repeated calls from the sales department asking me to call to confirm my address. It's clear to me the customer service and sales departments don't talk to each other. I had one failed attempt to resolve with someone from sales who parroted the same issue about a previous account existing. Finally, I spoke to a sales rep who was able to cancel the account, but said I had to wait a full day to set up a new account. We set up the new account and a date for the install. On the day of the install, after calling Ziply to inquire about my install window because 30 minutes were left I finally get a message that the technician was running late. One hour goes by. Two hours go by. The technician never shows and there is no update to the status. I decided I wanted internet immediately, so I went back to my Comcast account and activated new service at my address. Within an hour, I had set up all my old equipment and was using my high-speed internet. So much for Ziply's customer service, which they pride themselves on. read more

So far since they took over Frontier, the service over DSL is NOT usable, we had to evacuate until service is better. The entire Glacier, WA area is poorly run and out of Service. I couldn't make one simple wifi phone call and/or text up there. Awesome... reliable, affordable. I haven't had a single problem since I had it installed several years ago.

Simply has installed cable recently to our development. The workers dug up our yard to install and then proceeded to cut into our water main line. PUD was called to come out and they said that because of where the cut was made it is our responsibility. Supposedly the crew repaired the water line but we were without power flushing toilet for up to 3 hours. PUD was the not even sure if the line was repaired correctly. This needs to be fixed it's affecting two other neighbors as well. Thoroughly disappointed and disgusted on actions of the crew. No one mentioned it to us. My son was the one who notified there is no water in our house. Water has been restored but not sure if again the water main is fixed. Having PUD to check as well as we are having to check making sure that we're not spilling water . We just want this fixed properly not just a patch! The crew could not even speak english. Had to translate via phone . How is this even possible to not have a crew manager on site and no notification to homeowners when damage has been done ! We will be placing a complaint with BBB and notifying social media news media if this is not repaired immediately! read more

Oh, Ziply Fiber, where do I begin with your stellar 11-day performance in my life? I was promised lightning fast, reliable internet by your relentless door-knocking sales team, but what I got was a comedy of errors that cost me time, money, and sanity .It all started with my July 2, 2025, installation appointment, which Ziply Fiber promptly rescheduled to July 3 without so much as a courtesy heads-up. I took time off work because who doesn't love burning vacation hours for no reason? only to watch a technician leave a "temporary" fiber line sprawled across my yard like modern art. Apparently, this masterpiece required a second visit to "properly" install it, so I took another half-day off on July 9. The grand finale? The tech tucked the line under some weed fabric and rocks. Truly groundbreaking work, Ziply, and I'm still wondering why I needed to be home for that. Fast forward to July 11, when I was out of town, and my home network and security system decided to take a vacation too, courtesy of Ziply Fiber's impeccable service. A Sunday night call to support had me unplugging my modem genius advice and being told a tech could grace me with their presence on July 17. I politely declined to wait six days and requested a Monday, July 14, visit. Did I get a follow-up call as promised? Of course not! Instead, I called again, took yet another half-day off work, and waited for a tech between 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM. At 1:44 PM, I received a delightful text rescheduling me to July 16, followed by a cherry-on-top notification of an area outage. Bravo, Ziply Fiber, for timing that one perfectly. Three half-days off work, $576 in lost wages, and extra expenses later, I realized Ziply Fiber's only reliable feature was its ability to solicit customers. I canceled my service, drove to my previous provider, plugged in their modem, and voilà! had working internet in under an hour. If only Ziply Fiber could match that energy. Save yourself the hassle and look elsewhere unless you enjoy rescheduled appointments, yard décor cables, and a masterclass in frustration. I would not wish the customer service experience on my worst enemy. We recently moved to a townhome that Ziply serviced and we were excited to get to try fiber internet. I made an order to have it installed a couple of weeks before our move-in date. I was assured by many staff members, both through chat and phone, that I would not be charged until our installation date. A week before our installation date, I get an invoice that essentially says we used up our one free trial month. I reach out and again, I'm assured that the trial month starts on the day of installation. I make the mistake of taking their word for it. Fast forward to our installation date and we wait around for that entire 5 hour window and no one calls or shows up. I call the next day and they tell me that it was rescheduled without my knowledge, to that morning. We wait again. Again, no one calls or shows up. I call AGAIN and they reschedule for the following weekend. At this point, I have no reason to believe that anyone will show up and I go back to work the following Monday so I'm nervous and absolutely no one seems to understand how frustrating this whole ordeal is. Someone FINALLY shows up the third time and it gets installed. I'm relieved beyond belief, mostly that I don't have to pull out any more hair over the internet. Then we receive our first bill and it's for the full amount and not the trial month like we were assured it would be. I reached out again and they said they would add a $60 credit to our account. At this time, I also submitted a form to be reimbursed for early cancellation of our prior Xfinity service which was confirmed by another technician over the phone. Last weekend I received our next bill and again it was for the full amount, without either of the two credits being applied. The email cites a support email I can send questions to, and lo and behold, the email bounces back because the address doesn't even work! I call customer service again and they tell me a bunch of different things. That they can't see my bills, that my returned modem was never processed and that I'd have to cancel and repurchase service to reflect the return, that I gave them the wrong installation date and that the original charge was correct when it clearly wasn't. If it weren't for the actual internet itself, I would swear off of Ziply for the rest of my life and tell everyone to do the same. I don't understand why every facet of this process has to be so difficult and the lack of empathy among the technicians is truly stunning. The issues I'm currently facing will probably never be resolved and I'm prepared to eat the loss just so I don't have to interact with customer service again. I just wanted to make my experience known, as I can't imagine I'm the only one who would rather have teeth pulled than to go through this one more time. I hope this inspires some kind of revamp within the infrastructure of this process so that paying for something as critical as internet service doesn't have to something everyone dreads. read more

I signed up for Ziply's internet service. They installed fiber to the area of my router and did not do a quality job. You can see the last part of their installation in the photo provided. Repeated attempts over two weeks to get them to come back and fix this were unsuccessful. So I canceled Ziply and am staying with Xfinity. read more

Hello, First off, I HATE leaving bad eviews or comments. I have Ziply Fiber and am getting ready to go back to Comcast. The first issue was before I even had their service. Their contracted cable / fibre installers tied a winch from my young pear tree to their cable so they could pull the cale along the power lines. This pulled my tree over at an angle and when I asked what they were doing, I had to speak into one of their phones so that it could be translated from english because they didn't speak or understand english. When I called Ziply about it, they guy I talked to said there was nothing Ziply could do about it. After this, I still decided to change to them, Dunno why. Currently, I am paying for higher speeds than my old Comcast plan and I am constantly getting buffering issues. Because there is a hill in the way that causes cell signal issues, my phone is over internet. It is very unreliable. heaven forbid I need 911. I can no longer work from home due to the phone issue and the bad lag and buffering issues. They sent out a tech when I called with this issue August 17 2024, (I have a record of it but they can't find it, I even have the text message tellling me the tech was finished and leaving !!! ) and the tech stated after going through my network and checking my brand new router, that there was nothing wrong inside. I called again last week and they want to send a tech out again to check my system out instead of finding out why their system has no bandwidth or fluctuating bandwidth. They have no techs working on Saturday so if you have an issue, you have to take time off of work, lose pay and still not get the problem fixed. I had to cancel Youtube TV because of the constant freeze ups. They have no problems charging you for this mess but would never compensate you for lack of service. If you are in Oregon, I would seriously refrain from going with a Ziply plan until they get their system fixed out. They need to spend their money fixing the system they have before they consider expanding more. If you work from home, like I did, DO NOT get a Ziply plan right now. And when I switch back to Comcast, I will now have a friggin hole in my wall where they drilled through from outside, for their fibre modem instead of following the coaxial and going under the house. read more

If I could give a zero I would. Have had ziply about a year, nothing but slow speeds upload and downloads 54mbps / 34mbps. I pay for 1Gb, and have never been close to that speed. They send a tech out, (5 in last month) they really never fix anything. Wifi is horrible, I hard wired my TV and computer, which sometimes works and sometimes not. Router sometimes is all green other times red. It's a crap shoot. Hard to do business from home. I do not recommend, stay away from ziply. I ordered starlink! read more

I would give them a negative review if I could. They had contractors come onto my property and without permission started jack hammering my driveway. I went out there and stopped them the moment I heard the hammering. I asked why them why they had not asked me first if it was okay to bust up my driveway. They had also broke a telephone line that was buried next to the driveway. I told them to stop. some 20 minutes later I get a call from the contracting company that Ziply contracts with to install lines. He was the very rude and basically threatened that if I didn't let them bust up my driveway and install a box there I wouldn't get service. He didn't even address my main concern which was the communication or lack there of. It would have been more understandable if they had talked to me of what needed to be done and how they would repair the driveway when done. This way I can decide if I thought it was worth it to get Ziply Fiber service. He was basically like it needs to be done so I told them to do it. Zero respect for other peoples property. He had the attitude like he owned my driveway and had the right to do whatever he wanted there. until Ziply can find professional contractors that conduct themselves professionally it will be hard to ever let them on my property again!!!! read more

Finally, after we waited a week without any internet because xfinity got tired of us moving out our end date and cut us off- they called during the appointment window to say laying the cable would be too expensive so we were out of luck. I have had he service for a few months now and it has been working well with no notable outages. I don't check the speed very often so I can't comment on how consistent it has been. There was a billing confusion in the beginning that I mentioned in my first review. It turns out there is something like a 2-month credit to my bill but the billing started before the credit was applied leaving a first bill with a few dollars on the front end. read more

I had a choice of either Ziply or Comcast when I moved into my house last year. Since I hate Comcast just as much as everyone else, I decided to try Ziply. I was disappointed that Verizon Fios isn't out here, but made do with Ziply. The first thing that went wrong was that immediately after installing my router, the service went out. I spent about two hours troubleshooting on my own to make sure it wasn't on me, and had to call their customer service at least three times to diagnose the issue. It was determined that a tech needed to come out, but it would be a week away. Are you kidding me, a week?! And I work from home! Oh well, don't really have a choice, looks like I'm working from Starbucks for a week. Eventually the tech comes out, and guess what? A prior tech who was working on another house apparently fiddled with the neighborhood box and UNPLUGGED MY SERVICE. What the heck? When I heard that, I was absolutely furious that I lost productivity and service because of a screw-up on Ziply's part. So, I do what every red blooded American does and write a detailed and professional email explaining how irritating and ultimately expensive this screw up was, to their executive team. I did get a response, in essence telling me to kick rocks and that they could take a few dollars off. Luckily there is a local provider that is starting service where I live, and I'm immediately switching over to them (or Starlink, once they deliver my array.) Ever since this fiasco, the service hasn't been bad though it's not terribly fast. Not happy at all, and glad to switch to a better provider. read more

We have had zippy fiber for an internet source for several years. During that time their rates have nearly doubled! They went from $40 to $74. When I inquired why they were raised I was told it was for upgrades they had to make. During the last few days it has been going in and out. So much for the upgrades around here. I called to report the outages and they set me up for an appointment for a technician to come and fix the problem. They did not show for that appointment. A few years ago I set up an appointment to have it installed at my mother's home in Orofino! They never showed up then either. I tried to get them there 3 different times and they never showed up. I switched to Ziply FIOS from Comcast several years ago and I've generally been pretty happy with them. Much faster and more reliable internet connection at a far cheaper price. That said, they just sent me an email saying that they "inadvertently" haven't been billing me and extra $5/month because I haven't been using their auto pay. I've been using my CU's automatic bill pay instead and have never missed or been late with a payment. I have to say, I resent being extorted to use something I don't want, which is part of the reason I switched from Comcast. Hopefully Ziply will reconsider this policy. When I first signed up, I was also required to rent one of their routers rather than use my own. Congress made this practice illegal in the Television Viewer Protection Act of 2019 (TVPA). Maybe the act needs to be amended. read more

Ziply did not show up for 2 different, confirmed appointments. I gave them a 3rd try, after talking to "customer service" and they did not show up on time. I canceled. Very, very disappointed. The "customer service" line and chat were a joke - in fact, when I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was told "I'm the manager here" - as if they don't report to anyone. I was told "no worries" multiple times - apparently they are not worried about honoring their word or decent customer service. If I could give them less than 1 star on the review, I would. Just awful. They came to our house in September trying to get us to switch to them. We agreed. It's almost Thanksgiving and we still don't have service from them. They've come several times but something is always going wrong. Whoever comes always says someone ELSE will have to solve the problem. On November 2nd we had an appointment in a 4 hour window. They never came, they never called. On the phone they basically admitted they shouldn't have recruited us because they weren't ready. I always have to contact them, they don't communicate. After getting our new place, I was told our price after being grandfathered in to a price from the previous house owner would be 49.99/mo+tax. We had to be grandfathered in to get 11mb/s vs the 1mb/s we'd get otherwise. My first full bill showed $111 after tax. When calling ziply they said I also had a phone service which I never ordered. They are unable to remove this phone service because it was "grandfathered in". It's a ridiculous price which they have mislead me on after telling me I'd be paying 49.99/mo. And this is slow DSL, not even fiber. Their response here is lame to ask people to reach out. Well I've spent hours on the phone and their staff does't even know what's going on. tech was quick and well explained everything. Great customer service. get live agents unlike Xfinity. I switched from Xfinity 1G speed to Ziply 1G speed. The two are supposed to be the same. My upload speed tripled, and my download speed is over 2'xs faster than Xfinity. Xfinity robs you of speed because they do not use the right cables. In summary, they don't prorate the monthly bill. Also keep monitoring your account for balance since they do a lousy job handling the billing issue. TLDR --- I was excited to switch to Ziply because the hype of fiber optics. It's great while it is working. Then Internet stopped working for weeks. Contacted Ziply almost every day to get updates on the repair, but the answers were either we are working on it or the repair has to go to 3rd party vendor so we cannot track it. The last straw was: after almost 2 weeks without internet and having to go to coffee shop to WFH, the rep told me your repair ticket was submitted 2 days ago so sit tight. So, I signed up xfinity while chatting with ziply rep and canceled ziply on the spot. Now the funny part is the billing, they still want my money after I cancelled my service. Post this funny communication with the rep. ------- Me: Why I still have a balance due for the month I don't have service. Rep: In the fine print section of your bill, we noted we don't prorate Internet/TV service, (even if you only use a day in that billing cycle), you are responsible to pay the entire billing cycle. Me: But I don't have internet since the beginning of that billing cycle. Rep: You didn't stop the service when your internet was out so you are still responsible for the entire new bill. Plus, Our fiber was cut by someone else, it's not Ziply's fault that you don't have service. Also, we have already refunded you the days you don't have internet till you cancelled your service. Rep: As I just said, we don't prorate internet service because we are not copper wire service so we are not bound by law to prorate. And, We fixed the issue after you cancelled our service. Since you have cancelled our service before we fixed it, you essentially denied our opportunity to address the issue. Since you denied our effort to address the issue, Ziply is at no fault so you are still responsible for the remaining balance. Me: This is absurd! I am reporting this to BBB. Rep: My request to waive your bill was denied by our department that's specialized in making such decisions. They went through thorough investigation and denied the request, noting what I mentioned to you above. Everything has been properly documented, even if you report to BBB, they will see these notes and still uphold our decision. Me: I need to talk to your supervisor.
