I would not wish the customer service experience on my worst enemy. We recently moved to a townhome that Ziply serviced and we were excited to get to try fiber internet. I made an order to have it installed a couple of weeks before our move-in date. I was assured by many staff members, both through chat and phone, that I would not be charged until our installation date. A week before our installation date, I get an invoice that essentially says we used up our one free trial month. I reach out and again, I'm assured that the trial month starts on the day of installation. I make the mistake of taking their word for it. Fast forward to our installation date and we wait around for that entire 5 hour window and no one calls or shows up. I call the next day and they tell me that it was rescheduled without my knowledge, to that morning. We wait again. Again, no one calls or shows up. I call AGAIN and they reschedule for the following weekend. At this point, I have no reason to believe that anyone will show up and I go back to work the following Monday so I'm nervous and absolutely no one seems to understand how frustrating this whole ordeal is. Someone FINALLY shows up the third time and it gets installed. I'm relieved beyond belief, mostly that I don't have to pull out any more hair over the internet. Then we receive our first bill and it's for the full amount and not the trial month like we were assured it would be. I reached out again and they said they would add a $60 credit to our account. At this time, I also submitted a form to be reimbursed for early cancellation of our prior Xfinity service which was confirmed by another technician over the phone. Last weekend I received our next bill and again it was for the full amount, without either of the two credits being applied. The email cites a support email I can send questions to, and lo and behold, the email bounces back because the address doesn't even work! I call customer service again and they tell me a bunch of different things. That they can't see my bills, that my returned modem was never processed and that I'd have to cancel and repurchase service to reflect the return, that I gave them the wrong installation date and that the original charge was correct when it clearly wasn't. If it weren't for the actual internet itself, I would swear off of Ziply for the rest of my life and tell everyone to do the same. I don't understand why every facet of this process has to be so difficult and the lack of empathy among the technicians is truly stunning. The issues I'm currently facing will probably never be resolved and I'm prepared to eat the loss just so I don't have to interact with customer service again. I just wanted to make my experience known, as I can't imagine I'm the only one who would rather have teeth pulled than to go through this one more time. I hope this inspires some kind of revamp within the infrastructure of this process so that paying for something as critical as internet service doesn't have to something everyone dreads. read more

I signed up for Ziply's internet service. They installed fiber to the area of my router and did not do a quality job. You can see the last part of their installation in the photo provided. Repeated attempts over two weeks to get them to come back and fix this were unsuccessful. So I canceled Ziply and am staying with Xfinity. read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED. I first requested service from ziply in april, 2024. it is september 15, and as of today, they've postponed our install over a dozen (!) times. A few times theyve sent a robotext saying "we're sorry..." ahead of time. Mostly, they just don't show up, which means my partner and/or I stay home half a day for nothing (because they told us we need to be home). They dug up our yard on August 20, leaving a pile of (now long dead) sod, a 6' diameter coil of orange conduit, two large traffic cones and eleven ziply flags festooning our front yard. I've called repeatedly, and no one can connect me to anyone who is actually responsible. All I get is a call-room supervisor who gives me platitudes and empty apologies. THE MOST GARBAGE CUSTOMER SERVICE YOU COULD EVER COME ACROSS. I called to pay off the final balance and cancel my service back in January. Asked clearly asked if I'm absolutely done and if I'd receive any other billing in the mail and your representative clearly said NO. Next thing you know, I'm getting another bill for $88. I call again to get an answer, requesting to speak to manager after already being on hold for 45 minutes. I wait a WHOLE OTHER HOUR just to get a 'he's busy with other clients, can he call you back.' I also clearly asked 'do you PROMISE he'll give me a call back?' to which she said 'Yes' (which I have video recording of). I went another two weeks with no response. I call AGAIN, and this representative said that I was cleared of all charges and that I didn't owe anything. Just for me to get a bill from debt collectors months later for said $88. Nobody knows what they're doing, the install was horrendous, service was slow, and they don't care about their customer satisfaction or training level of their employees. Took over my mternet service from Frontier in early 2020 stating there would be no change in price. Turns out I was paying $50 a month more than the advertised rate for a couple years because I was "grandfathered in". With Frontier, I had premium TV services bundled in so internet was part of a package deal. Ziply ONLY offers internet so they broke that out and dropped the bundled pricing. I contacted them to make the correction but apparently there "is no way" they can reimburse me for overpaying and that is is the customer responsibility to alert them of pricing discrepancies. (But once they get your money, it's theirs) Going to small claims on principle.... these guys are as crooked as it gets. read more

If I could give a zero I would. Have had ziply about a year, nothing but slow speeds upload and downloads 54mbps / 34mbps. I pay for 1Gb, and have never been close to that speed. They send a tech out, (5 in last month) they really never fix anything. Wifi is horrible, I hard wired my TV and computer, which sometimes works and sometimes not. Router sometimes is all green other times red. It's a crap shoot. Hard to do business from home. I do not recommend, stay away from ziply. I ordered starlink! read more

I switched to Ziply FIOS from Comcast several years ago and I've generally been pretty happy with them. Much faster and more reliable internet connection at a far cheaper price. That said, they just sent me an email saying that they "inadvertently" haven't been billing me and extra $5/month because I haven't been using their auto pay. I've been using my CU's automatic bill pay instead and have never missed or been late with a payment. I have to say, I resent being extorted to use something I don't want, which is part of the reason I switched from Comcast. Hopefully Ziply will reconsider this policy. When I first signed up, I was also required to rent one of their routers rather than use my own. Congress made this practice illegal in the Television Viewer Protection Act of 2019 (TVPA). Maybe the act needs to be amended. read more

I called because my internet was not working some of the time. They sent out a service man who ignored what I said, and now my ethernet is not working at all. Customer service is unhelpful. They will ignore you, and will read their script at you while you try to explain the problem. If you want to be ignored, belittled, and have your problems made worse, do business with Ziply. After getting our new place, I was told our price after being grandfathered in to a price from the previous house owner would be 49.99/mo+tax. We had to be grandfathered in to get 11mb/s vs the 1mb/s we'd get otherwise. My first full bill showed $111 after tax. When calling ziply they said I also had a phone service which I never ordered. They are unable to remove this phone service because it was "grandfathered in". It's a ridiculous price which they have mislead me on after telling me I'd be paying 49.99/mo. And this is slow DSL, not even fiber. Their response here is lame to ask people to reach out. Well I've spent hours on the phone and their staff does't even know what's going on. My upload speed tripled, and my download speed is over 2'xs faster than Xfinity. Xfinity robs you of speed because they do not use the right cables. The reason for the high ratings for this company is because the employees there make this company great. I honestly don't have many complaints except my disconnection. I wish I had kept track of the fluctuation track in the speed but since I didn't, it ends here. The only reason I disconnected was simply because the promotion ended. I think we all know how you have to save every penny here and there to make adjustments where you can. The problem with the disconnect was they setup an appointment at 10AM on the day but shut it off at midnight. Why setup an appointment if all you need to do is sent a signal to my modem to disable it? I didnt get it. Also, I guess the new schemes from ISP's is that they want to charge you a full month regardless of when you disconnect service. This i dont get. Are your calculators broken? The cost associated with computers calculating this cost is no minuscule. This is a terrible tactic to use on customers. I was very happy that they did give me the adjustment but at the same time two weeks wasnt enough for them to make the adjustment to my charge and was charged the full amount. I was also informed it would take 2 to 3 billing cycles to receive the refund. I wonder what would happen if I took 2 to 3 billing cycles to pay my bill with them. I would have been disconnected. Just doesnt seem right. Companies are becoming pretty brazen to make changes to what we are accustomed to and we dont do anything about it because we dont know how many people are impacted by this. The thing is I am aware now. Usually when companies who want to increase their profits usually follow suit from other companies. We are a business, an animal shelter. In animal rescue this is the busiest time of year. People need our help. Animals need our help. Our phone service began malfunctioning more than two weeks ago and for all that time we have repeatedly, so many times, talked with Ziply customer service, without a solution. At last we were granted a site visit by a tech. On the scheduled day, they notified us that they had cancelled the appointment and rescheduled for a week out. This is simply not acceptable. I had a choice of either Ziply or Comcast when I moved into my house last year. Since I hate Comcast just as much as everyone else, I decided to try Ziply. I was disappointed that Verizon Fios isn't out here, but made do with Ziply. The first thing that went wrong was that immediately after installing my router, the service went out. I spent about two hours troubleshooting on my own to make sure it wasn't on me, and had to call their customer service at least three times to diagnose the issue. It was determined that a tech needed to come out, but it would be a week away. Are you kidding me, a week?! And I work from home! Oh well, don't really have a choice, looks like I'm working from Starbucks for a week. Eventually the tech comes out, and guess what? A prior tech who was working on another house apparently fiddled with the neighborhood box and UNPLUGGED MY SERVICE. What the heck? When I heard that, I was absolutely furious that I lost productivity and service because of a screw-up on Ziply's part. So, I do what every red blooded American does and write a detailed and professional email explaining how irritating and ultimately expensive this screw up was, to their executive team. I did get a response, in essence telling me to kick rocks and that they could take a few dollars off. Luckily there is a local provider that is starting service where I live, and I'm immediately switching over to them (or Starlink, once they deliver my array.) I have had he service for a few months now and it has been working well with no notable outages. I don't check the speed very often so I can't comment on how consistent it has been. There was a billing confusion in the beginning that I mentioned in my first review. Only credited for one month of reimbursement because they didn't record my problems in their logs. I just recently signed up for Ziply and have had nothing but troubles every step of the way. I am shocked on how dysfunctional Ziply is and how I'm being treated as a new customer. I ordered and was set up for installation of 2 gigs with Wi-Fi 7 router on and received a text and email that I would be alerted when the tech was coming. I waited 2 hours past the time I was notified he would come without no contact. I had to call the Sales Manager and let him know nobody contacted me. I finally was contacted that the tech was on his way. When the tech arrived, he installed the Wifi 6 with extenders and I told him that's not what I ordered. All he is said is that we ran out. After he left, I called the Sales Manager again and told him that this is ridiculous that you're installing something I did not ask for. Couple days after that, the tech contacted me to install the Wi-Fi 7 router and set it up. I connected everything but my LG tv. I told him I cannot connect, and he told me to either move my router closer to the tv or buy my own router. Can you believe this? I told him I am not moving my router closer and hook up the ethernet. Ziply is not attempting to solve the problem! The tech also said his supervisor told him it's the tv so I contacted LG and they said since the tv shows the TP Link router as available but cannot connect, it is the router and not the tv. A few days later I contacted customer service to complain about nobody taking responsibility and finding a solution. A new tech came to my house the next day and did not even attempt to figure the problem out, all he said that I can hook up another, lower end router. I told him, you want me to hook up the router but not figure why my tv isn't connecting? I told him to just leave my house!! This is the worst experience and customer service anybody has heard of! Internet service went down 8/17 in all of Duvall because of "vandalism". After being down for 5 days straight, the only thing Tech Support says is people are working 'quickly' to restore service but can't say when it will be back. I'm switching back to Astound. In summary, they don't prorate the monthly bill. Also keep monitoring your account for balance since they do a lousy job handling the billing issue. TLDR --- I was excited to switch to Ziply because the hype of fiber optics. It's great while it is working. Then Internet stopped working for weeks. Contacted Ziply almost every day to get updates on the repair, but the answers were either we are working on it or the repair has to go to 3rd party vendor so we cannot track it. The last straw was: after almost 2 weeks without internet and having to go to coffee shop to WFH, the rep told me your repair ticket was submitted 2 days ago so sit tight. So, I signed up xfinity while chatting with ziply rep and canceled ziply on the spot. Now the funny part is the billing, they still want my money after I cancelled my service. Post this funny communication with the rep. ------- Me: Why I still have a balance due for the month I don't have service. Rep: In the fine print section of your bill, we noted we don't prorate Internet/TV service, (even if you only use a day in that billing cycle), you are responsible to pay the entire billing cycle. Me: But I don't have internet since the beginning of that billing cycle. Rep: You didn't stop the service when your internet was out so you are still responsible for the entire new bill. Plus, Our fiber was cut by someone else, it's not Ziply's fault that you don't have service. Also, we have already refunded you the days you don't have internet till you cancelled your service. (yes, you don't read fineprint, we are innocent, we even go above an beyond and issued you some refund) Me: So is it my fault the fiber is cut? Rep: (No answer) Me: Okay, then why you still charge me after I cancelled my service? Rep: As I just said, we don't prorate internet service because we are not copper wire service so we are not bound by law to prorate. And, We fixed the issue after you cancelled our service. Since you have cancelled our service before we fixed it, you essentially denied our opportunity to address the issue. Since you denied our effort to address the issue, Ziply is at no fault so you are still responsible for the remaining balance. Me: This is absurd! I am reporting this to BBB. Rep: My request to waive your bill was denied by our department that's specialized in making such decisions. They went through thorough investigation and denied the request, noting what I mentioned to you above. Everything has been properly documented, even if you report to BBB, they will see these notes and still uphold our decision. Me: I need to talk to your supervisor. Rep: I can certainly bring them online but they are very very busy. Me: I Insist Rep: Ok. (While waiting for response, I read through the contracts, bills, terms and conditions and pointed to them that there's no mentioning what to do if customer cancels service during an outage. I thought comcast is already bad, this is worse. The salesman came and claimed it provides 1G bps, so we signed up for one month trial. The actual speed we tested using a tool was only ~ 100M bps, even less than comcast. Then the network dropped couple times when I was in conference call. So I decided to not continue. But then I received a bill for the "free" month of $10 service fee, I tried to login to figure out what it is, their website is complete broken. First I can't register and link to my account, then got some 500 error when accessing the bill. Finally I decided to call their customer service after couple days waiting for their website to get back, then because I'm one more day after the billing cycle, they told me I have to pay for a full month. My name is Corby Dodge and I got service from Ziply this past year during covid. I canceled it in april and the representative said her system was down but she would have it canceled when the system came up. I received a bill May so I called in again and their system was down again. Now it is June and they want me to pay for May because they cannot fix this because my account was canceled. They say there are nots of me canceling in April but they will not fix it because the account is canceled so I just need to pay have to pay them or they will send me to collections. Worst customer service possible. Been having issue with router since Aug and customer service reps not believing me. They can see the service interruption on the computer. Finally in Dec they believe me and say they are sending out a new router. 1 week goes by and no router. Call back multiple times since Aug to complain and the day we will send 1 out and should recurve within 24-48 hours. Did not get the router within that time. Got the router the filling day and try to connect and having issues. Called tech line and tell me they need to send out a tech and schedule an appointed and the whole time my internet is not working and shutting down every couple min. The day the tech was scheduled to come out my wife cleared the schedule to be at home and tech no shows us. No call from Ziply or notification saying not coming out. I called multiple times during the day and then they say they can reschedule my for the following week. My wife waited all day when the appeals from 8am the noon and they wouldn't reschedule for the next day. Worst customer decide possible and still having issues. Run away from Ziply. They need major help in management and service accountability. Zero star if possible. read more

I've had Comcast for a while but the service became very inconsistent (constant drops). Since I work from home, getting booted off meetings and my Outlook wasn't sustainable. The troubleshooting steps with Comcast too tedious.. + they had a guy come out and he couldn't fix it. Signed up to Ziply online and got free installation and one month free. My home was already wired for fiber so it made things easy. Technician showed up a week later and hooked everything up. Signed up for 200GBs down/up and when performing a speed test one week into service, I get 250GBs down and about 150 UP. I've had no drops or any performance issues at all. Love the service so far. Only negative thing is I wish you could modify plans on your online account without having to call in. read more

Frontier sold us out to backwoods cable also know as zippy! You have a problem we zip out and hang up on you. Movies from 1970s with no info date etc. All outdated might as well go rent a CD?
