I brought in three items for hemming; and pair of pants and two tops. When I picked up the items after two weeks of waiting the pants hadn't been hemmed and the two tops were so poorly stitched at the hem that they are buckled and uneven. The total cost was $91 to ruin two tops and not have my pants hemmed. I didn't receive any compensation for this, and at this point don't want to go back to have them further ruin my clothes. read more

Asked to have 3 zippers repaired on 2 different jackets. After 10 business days I received notice the jackets were ready for pickup and the cost was $70. The zippers were not repaired, in fact they hadn't been touched except for the safety pins that were used to show what zippers were to be repaired. They have not returned my calls after 2 attempts to contact them, nor have they responded to 2 emails, or 2 chat messages. Klinke Cleaners, who uses Zip n Stitch for alterations/repairs, has also not responded to 2 attempts to contact. Avoid Zip N Stitch. They have no integrity. They have no professionalism. They have no sense of responsibility. They will have none of my business nor the business on anyone I know. With luck they will no longer be in business. read more

I brought in five shirts for alterations, and it was only after I got home that I realized no work had been done on two of them. I called after I discovered the first shirt and spoke to a woman who didn't seem to understand what had happened. I emailed the location after I discovered the second shirt, but nobody bothered to respond. I indicated in my email that I wanted a refund for the two shirts, but I can't imagine that I'll ever see that money again. If you have to bring your clothes here, then please make sure you try everything on before you leave with them. Also...their prices are ridiculously high. I brought some other shirts to a different tailor for the same alterations, and they are charging me less than half of what this place charged me. read more

Completely agree with all of the other 1-star reviews. I took (5) pairs of pants to be hemmed here. They charged me over $30 per pair, which is way more than anywhere else I have been. When I wore them only 1 side had actually been sewn. When I went back, she said "I don't think it is us." and wanted to re-charge me to fix. Yeah, just save yourself the $ and headache and avoid. read more

* I'm a longtime customer of Klinke, thousands of dollars over the years in dry cleaning and stitching, along with other family and friends * Yesterday, brought in a blazer to the Zip n Stitch Alterations on Odana, to switch out 1 green button on my blazer to a black button. * Angie, who knows me because of the large volume of clothing I bring to her, told me that the cost would be $25 to replace my green button with a black button. * I asked her why. She said because the Company wants to charge customers more for small seamstress work. * Wow. This is how Klinke treats longtime loyal customers, by up charging us for small jobs. * Doubtful I will be back. Time to look for another seamstress and dry cleaner. I haven't read any of the other reviews yet, but I'm pretty sure mine will line up with theirs. Save yourself, don't come here for anything. I needed a dress altered for a wedding, and I was having issues finding a place that could. I pass by this place all the time so thought "why the heck not?". Mistakes were made. I go in, and the woman said she could do it. To be fair it did get done eventually but it was a comedy of damn errors. They didn't take my name, only my phone number. She didn't know how much it was going to cost, but said her manager would call me the next day. She did, and quoted me $65, which is roughly what I expected, this dress was practically a tent on me. 3 weeks pass. I had told them I had a deadline, and they said they could meet it. So I call to see what's going on. They at first can't find me by phone number. Then say they don't have a dress matching my description. After much arguing, it's figured out. The dress is apparently finished. I go in, and it was done, if a little sloppy. We argue about the price they quoted, but I finally get the price I was told. You go next door to pick up it up, and the person there was a sourpuss, but we got out ok. We get to the car, and I get a text saying my dress is ready to get picked up. Just, go literally anywhere else. read more

This place is a disaster. It seemed like my dress slacks were the first hemming job ever. I picked them up and they were too short. I took them back for a do over and the story gets worse. I called the related business Klinkie Cleaners as directed. On 2 different occasions the phone there has so much noise you can't understand anything the clerk said. I once inquired about the status of my order and was promised a call back. I never received one. I finally went to pick up my order and went to the cleaners as directed. The cleaners sent me over to the stich place. My pants are still too short. Avoid both the cleaners and the alteration hacks. read more

I need to write this review because of how I was lied to. My first experience with zip and stitch was great and they did a great job. When I brought my second jacket in last week I was quoted a price on how much it would be. When I actually went in to pick the jacket up it was a lot more than I was quoted. I spoke with The same lady (Betty) who helped me and said she never quoted me that price. They just lost my business!!! Beware going to zip n stitch!!!!! read more

I took a dress in to have the zipper replaced. They said they could only do a black zipper (the dress is teal) which was not ideal but I didn't push it. When I went to pick it up, the new zipper neither works, nor is it evenly sewn into olace. I went here out of convenience (I can walk from work) but will not be back. The only good thing I can say is that they were prompt. read more

Probably should have read the reviews first. I've always driven by this place so I thought I'd give it a try. Took a shirt in for a simple hem alteration. It was $18 just to have the hem taken up which I thought was a little pricey. And then when I got the shirt back, the back was shorter than the front and instead of going straight across in the front, they sewed it as a V shape. It was bizarre and of course the shirt is ruined now. DO NOT GO HERE! read more

I am a dissatisfied customer. I was quoted a price for my alterations. But when I went to pick them up, surprise! It was more than I was quoted. If I'd had the right quote up front, I may not have had the work done. Plus, I was not wholly satisfied with the quality of the work. I will not go here again. read more
