Wow what can I say? This place made what has been on my bucket list happen by providing the essential tools we needed. My bf and I decided to come finally do Narrows and it was magical! I signed up online and ordered 2 dry bib packages for us. We arrived in the morning at 9am and were greeted by the staff, handed our bibs to try on beforehand. The bib has built in neoprene socks that go over your feet so that your feet stay dry and then you are given these boots that the bib suit connects to. After getting settled and comfy, we picked our shoulder height sticks and headed off to Zion. They were running shuttles when we went, so we hopped on that and started our trek. The suit kept us dry the entire time, I'd say our feet got a little wet from sweat.. other than that, we were dry. The water was cold but with walking and moving, we felt more comfortable in the water than out of it. After the adventure was over we turned our bibs inside out and headed back the same day to drop off. Overall, 100/10 would recommend! We are definitely planning to come do Narrows again and will for sure make sure to stop by here for all our equipment needs! P.s. They do have different types of "dry suits" on their site, we went November 25 and we made a good decision with the dry bib as the water was pretty high in some parts of the walk for a short amount of time but also it was cold and well worth it. Others were out there in full dry suits all the way which wasn't needed for us but I could see if you wanted to immerse yourself in the water more. read more

I have no words. But I do. Thank you Jonathan and crew. You made our trip to Zion National Park truly memorable. Zion Guru, had equipment for taking our Zion adventures to the next level. Our group hiked The Narrows and canyoneered mountains in the park. The guides that accompanied us through the narrows were not only professional and safety conscious, they provided historical facts about The Narrows and how they came to be. The geological events that carved and colored the canyon were explained in great detail. The guides moved at our groups pace without trying to rush us along. Great experience. When we did the mountain phase of our trip Zion Guru excelled again. Prior to starting out our hike, our gear was passed around put on and a thorough safety brief and gear safety check was done. The guides took us up mountains by hand and with rope assist. The views were breathless. I am going to attach pics but no words can describe them so I won't try. We conducted three repels culminating with a 180ft repel. Talk about an adrenaline rush. Wow. If you are ever in or planning a trip to Zion National Park look up the Guru. I love you all! read more

Staff were helpful, end equipment was great. Several times along our Narrows hike, we encountered people who rented at the other, major, local source for waders, who asked/complained about their wet feet. Everyone from Zion Guru had dry feet due to the waders with integrated socks, while everyone from the other place had wet feet. Maybe that isn't important in August (I don't know), but in April, with water temps in the high 40's (Fahrenheit) it made a huge difference. I think it was $10 extra at Zion Guru for the entire outfit (waders/boots/walking-stick), and it was the best $10 I spent on our entire vacation. Plus, the staff was helpful, professional, knowledgeable, and flexible. I'd use them again in a heartbeat. I've never been to the other place, and maybe their staff is great too, I have no idea. I can say, for sure though, that the better waders at Guru are easily worth the extra ten bucks. read more

I was really worried about getting too cold (Raynaud's Phenomenon) but had no problem in their one piece rental plus their neoprene socks for hiking The Narrows! It was awesome! Excellent experience from the time I walked in the door until I checked out after my Narrows hike. Rented bibs. Shoes, pole and an bike. Zion Guru was great to rent from. Their staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. They didnt unnecessarily scrutinize the returned waders or boots. Their parking lot was a bit small but they can't help that too much. The only thing I would recommend to ZG is to warn the customers about the mass of people who attempt The Narrows even on an off day like a Monday. The best option is to get there really early to avoid the even larger crowd which shows up later in the day. If/when i do The Narrows again, I'll rent from Zion Guru. read more

We were in Zion from Dec 20th-23rd which overlapped with the period where no shuttles were running. We found that Scenic Drive would get overcrowded and the gates would shut by mid morning. We ended up getting an Angels Landing permit, but I needed to be back at the hotel by 10am for a Zoom meeting (boo). We were contemplating doing Angels Landing and the Narrows on the same day (crazy, but we are in good shape). We stopped by Zion Guru to explore using eBikes to get to the Narrows trailhead and Kegen was incredibly helpful. He gave incredibly helpful advice about how long Angels Landing would take, what to expect, and let us know that doing both hikes was doable given our fitness level. He then set us up with eBikes and booked the gear to do the Narrows. The eBike ride was amazing as there were basically no cars or shuttles on Scenic Drive. Angels Landing and Narrows are two of the best hikes I've been on. Thank you Kegen for one of the most epic days we've had!
