Zion National Park with Trek bikes from Zion Cycles
Joseph L.

I have visited Zion NP multiple times to date, but this time around I decided to join a Gravel Bike Race. Since the associated bike rental shop with the Race was a little too far from the park (St. George) and the bikes they had when I checked their website was not one I was familiar with, I started searching local Bike Rentals in Springdale. I compared reviews and spent a good amount of time reading them and called 3 shops for comparison on what they offered. Zion Cycles is a full service shop in Springdale, I have seen many customers come in to the shop saying they went elsewhere to get their own bike repaired but other shops couldn't since most shops offer rentals only. My experience with my first call (I believe Ashley helped me) was great, she spent the time to answer all my questions about renting and the purpose of me renting it. I didn't feel rushed at all and we were able to secure two rentals for my friend and I. I believe the rental prices are also great here for what they are offering. The fact that they have "Trek" bikes which is my favorite brand also helped me decide that this shop was for me. Upon arrival to rent the bikes before our race, we wanted to test them out so I had reserved the bikes for two full days even though we just needed them for a few hours. Emily helped us get the bikes prepared and knowing that we were there for a gravel race, she ensured these bikes were tuned up, maintained and had everything we need including an emergency kit. This was simply not a "go ahead and pickup the bike in any condition" but they really took the time to ensure nothing goes wrong. The next time I am in Zion, I will be renting from Zion Cycles again to take that nice cruise around the scenic drive and the Pa'rus bike path. When you leave a shop like this with excellent service, they definitely deserve to be visited again. Thank you Zion Cycles for offering the bikes that you have and for being right at the heart of Springdale which was close to my hotel and restaurants! Till next time!

Just finished a 1/2 day e-bike tour with Matt from Zion Cycles. This was absolutely the best way to explore the canyon. We learned so much along the way about the park, its beginnings millions of years ago to unique points of interest today. Matt is a wealth of knowledge. Absolutely breathtaking ride, but on an e-bike, very managable for a couple of 60+ year olds in moderately good shape.

Super friendly staff, very helpful. Rented the ebike here. Came with helmets. Best way to explore the park

Such a great time we had thanks to Zion Cycles! We took our two toddlers in the trailer attachment and it was a blast! Staff are super friendly and welcoming.

The folks that made our Zion Canyon riding experience a great one. From the moment we happened into the (Springdale) shop and were given so much friendly advice from Jimmy, we knew these folks are what a bike shop should be. We actually ran into some local cyclists while riding in the park, and they said you guys are the only real bike shop. Only regret was that we didn't have time to do some single tracks with you guys. Maybe next time.

Helmets also included in rental

We made last minute plans for bike riding through Zion and came in the morning of our visit. Rental process was quick and easy. Signed some liability forms electronically and paid! We got one bike, one ebike and a trailer for our 15month old. They went over instructions needed for safety and operation and we were on our way! We rented for the day and returned them by closing at 530pm. Drop off was easy as well. Grateful for available bikes but then again it was during the week- on a Wednesday. You can also reserve online as well so that's convenient. Appreciate the customer service and help!

Fred was able to repair my bike very quickly and for a more than fair price so I was able to get back on the trails.

The two guys at the desk were straight up ASLEEP when I walked up to the counter which cracked me up. After I stood there for a couple minutes they finally woke up and helped me right away! I like how many resources this place provides with maps, instructional videos etc. I asked for recommendations for trails and they were able to give me some good suggestions. They informed me that there was little to no elevation we would need to worry about, which wasn't entirely true, but that's why we have the e-bike! I would have felt WAY more confident on those hills if the battery on my bike didn't peter out the last 40 minutes of our ride. I wasn't able to use the assist like I wanted to for fear of it completely dying while in the park somewhere. I wasn't even using the highest level of assist the whole time I was there so I don't think there should have been any reason for it to die. My husband's bike was fine however. We opted to rent the bikes for 4 hours but if we had stayed out there longer, my bike would not have had any battery. It was charged all the way before we left so I'm not sure what went wrong. When we got back and mentioned the battery issue they, were just kind of like, "oh." The bikes were clean and overall worked well. I was happy that they had the kids seats available and our son was comfortable in it. Helmets they gave us were a little uncomfortable and worn so I recommend bringing your own if you have one. TLDR: Had a great time on the e-bikes. Bikes were in good condition, but battery died quick on one of our bikes. Definitely a fun way to see Zion especially with kids!

I chose Greater Zion E-Bikes because I found a coupon code for the rental. I reserved the bikes online a week prior. On arrival the guys who checked us in were professional, thorough, courteous and showed us a great video on the route once we left the shop. They gave great instructions on how to use the e-Bikes. We used the bikes all day and had so much fun. Chris helped us with the return. We walked the bikes in and and collected our stuff in the baskets. The rental included a bike lock, basket and holder for a walking stick if going to the Narrows. When I return to Zion I'll be renting from Greater Zion E-Bikes.

(we visited over memorial day and they had plenty of everything) We rented two bikes for $40 each for the whole day. But then realized it should have been for all day. A quick call before they closed made it easy to change the length of the rental. We were met by Brian and Hannah at the store on Sunday morning. They give the best customer service with their knowledge, friendliness, and patience. They made sure we were on the right bikes for our height and comfort level. Each bike was taken around the store to make sure everything was in working order before we hopped on them. Rental includes the bike lock, helmet and carryon pack. The store location makes it so easy to get to Zion National Park. It's so much more convenient than waiting for the shuttle. The ebikes allowed us to stop wherever and whenever we wanted. There were so many photo opportunities that at times it was just a start and stop. As the day got hotter, the breeze from riding the ebike was refreshing. Even riding all day through the entire park with plenty of stops, the bikes still had plenty of charge left.
