Super friendly, excellent bikes, and very helpful. We rented three tandem bikes for a family ride up canyon to the Temple of Sinawa and back. Not sure of exactly how long it would take we paid for a half day rental ($35/bike/4-hrs). The guy said if we ended up over 4 hours it was no big deal and we can just pay the difference ($10/bike) when we get back. Good thing! It took us about 6.5 hours with stops at most shuttle stops, a hike to the end of the river walk, lunch and ice cream at Zion Lodge. It was a fantastic experience. The canyon is closed to private vehicles after Canyon Junction so we only saw a hanful of vehicles on the 18 mile round-trip. It was a bit of a challenge going up-canyon for a bunch of novices like us but we did it and the cruise back down-canyon was a sweet reward. After coming back the owners were really nice and were genuinely interested in how we liked it. We liked the tandems so much we put ourselves on a no-obligation waiting list to buy a used one in November. Notes: all bikes come with helmets and locks free of charge. Hours: 9am to 7pm. Awesome shop with friendly service. My son blew out his shifter on the first day at Zion. He was totally bummed. Took it to the shop and they had the part and fixed it on the spot. They also did a safety inspection on the bike and tuned it up. Would recommend this place to everyone visiting the area, and will be back more often. read more

After many hours in the car we arrived at Zion and immediately went to this fantastic bike shop right on the main road leading into the park. We've rented bikes all the country as we love to get the "lay of the land" upon arriving in a new area...we were so satisfied with the quality of the bikes - THE BEST- the staff - very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly - and the recommended 18 mile up ride and down the canyon was magical!! We rented mountain bikes from Zion Cycles for a few days of riding on Gooseberry and the surrounding area. Reserving the bikes: The great service started when we called in to reserve the bikes. Fred, the owner, took the time to answer our questions and offered us a couple of different options for rentals. We were looking for a guide service as well and he refered us to Utah Mountain Biking Adventures.com who gave us great service and value. Bikes: We reserved two Trek EX's and two Gary Fisher Rumblefish's. When we arrived to pick them up they were ready to go. These bikes were immaculate, Tires were in great shape, heck all teh rental bikes looked pretty much new! We've seen some pretty beater rentals before in Moab and elsewhere..kudos to Zion Cycles for having the best rentals ever! The Shop: Zion Cycles is a small shop if measured in square feet. However, thi splace has EVERYTHING one could possibly imagine. If this place doesn't have the part you need it would be amazing. Frankly, this little place has the best inventory of parts/tires/lubes etc we have ever seen. Shops ten times the size don't stock half the stuff these guys do!!! One of the guys with us needed a Magura brake line and pads, most shops don't stock these. Zion Cycle had the pads and hose in-stock! Zion Cycles is a rare shop. Great service, very good prices (no resprt area mark-up here...) and the rental bikes are sweeeeeeet! read more

The staff and service at Zion Cycles was great! Our family rented 4 bikes to ride to Grafton Ghost Town and to use on the Pa'rus Trail. We needed to change our reservation to a different day and the owner was very accommodating! The bikes that we were given to use were perfect for our adventure on bumpy terrain. Pretty much the only bike shop in Zion worth going to. I've been there a few times after riding hard at Gooseberry and breaking a few things on my bike. Fred was able to repair my bike very quickly and for a more than fair price so I was able to get back on the trails. And that is for multiple trips over the years. I wish there were more bike shops like this close to my hometown. read more

These guys deserve EVERY five star rating. They are well stocked with the latest repair parts as well as an amazing archive of old stuff. Their mission is to make sure your epic trip isn't messed up by a broken bit. Super friendly. ZERO condescension to outsiders. Very reasonable prices--dare I say as good as mail order? Amazing supply of parts. I am sure the wrenching is quite good. I bought a super cool jersey. They stocked a huge selection of sizes. I also bought super old Shimano XTR 9500 series chainrings that I can't even find on e bay. It's like Colorado Cyclist, Art's, Exel Sports Boulder all combined to make a local shop for you in Zion. So impressed! My daughter and I rented bikes to ride into Zion for the day. We only wanted/needed simple bikes to use for the day. They didn't up-sell us on anything. After reviewing some website reviews and recommendations from friends, I decided to rent from ZC. They were attentive, friendly and obviously took care of their bikes to make sure they were in top-notch condition. We had zero problems with the bikes and enjoyed riding up and down the canyon. I rented a full suspension bike and hired a guide to take me on an awesome singletrack ride. The bike was great and my guide, Dusty, was great at noting my skill level and helping me ride more and better than I thought I could. They also have cool stuff for sale in the shop. Scott at Zion Cycles is TOPS in customer service! My husband brought his bike in for a longstanding problem with the brakes which 3 other shops had been unable to address. By the end of the day, problem solved! Very reasonable price. While we were there I picked up some great fitting bike gloves and an area hiking map. I wanted to offer some quick feedback about some awesome customer service I received from both Colby and Jonathan (sp). I was visiting recently with my wife and we were both pretty clueless about where to ride. In fact, we visited the store on a whim; we are cyclist but didn't have concrete plans to bike at all during our trip. We were just curious about what a LBS could offer in Springdale. We were warmly greeted by Colby who gave us some great tips about what to see on and off the bike. We ultimately decided to do a day rental and were not disappointed with his suggestion. Jonathan helped gear us up and make sure we were well equipped. More than just doing good business, I found these two to be great people. I'll certainly refer any of my cycling friends to the shop if I know they are going to be in the area. read more

We arrived at Zion late on Sept14, 2016 and discovered that one of the brakes on my husbands bike was not working, so headed in to town on Thursday morning 9/15 to see if we could get it repaired. I can't remember the persons name at Zion Cycles but he was great! He directed us to a coffee shop nearby while we waited (Deep Creek coffee -awesome breakfast burritos and lavender lemonade) and he replaced a part and had it finished and working in about an hour at a very reasonable price. They also had a lot of supplies in the shop and we purchased headlights and taillights for our bikes. Incredible service! read more

I recently rented a mountain bike from Zion Cycles for 3 days. The rear derailler constantly shifted from one cog to another, making it very difficult to get a good riding rhythm and taking a lot of fun out of the ride. As I was not returning to Springdale until the end of the rental period, I was stuck with a bike that did not perform as it should. When I returned the bike and told them of the problem, they confirmed it was there but rather nastily declined to offer me any compensation. I have rented bikes in many places and never previously had such a mechanical problem. I recommend using the other bike shop in town. There's just no excuse for their attitude and lack of courtesy. read more

Great bike shop! Had a trip to Zion a few months or so ago. My bike was having some problems, some which included a spoke coming loose and the rear derailleur hanger being bent, but with the help of this shop I was able to get those things fixed and get riding in Zion. Really great prices too! Highly recommend them! read more
