Stewart was the person that helped us. He explained everything and let us tested out first. We rented a double plus a pet carrier for our dog. Which was so much fun for all of us. Only reason why I would only gave a 4 stars is because their cancellation policy. The night before our ride, the whole town and town next to us electricity was out for several hour. So we thought of just driving home if the electricity wasn't going turn on soon. We had asked if we can cancel because of this and they said no refund. Only a credit to use within 2 yrs. Even if it is due to weather. Electricity did come back on 3 hrs later. So I'm glad everything turns out good. Beside that I would go back and rent from them again.

We ran into him on the trail and we all stopped and he took cute pictures of us. Thanks Wally. The bikes were so great that we both want to get one. Sigh, some day. They also have bike clothes. I buy most of mine online and that can be disappointing. I got a great jersey top there. It fits! Yay! They also recommended where to get great sandwiches (Deep Creek Coffee, a block away) and wow was that a perfect recommendation. As a hardtail owner and frequent rider, my biggest worry was sub-standard rental bikes. Nope, these folks have their own service area off the main room and my bike was in perfect condition. Banging down the slickrock obstacles and feeling the bike take care of me and own the line as the rocks challenged me along the way was a flying joy. A joy that only confidence in your machine gives. Yeah, that was a ride. Beautiful, challenging, and glorious.

We also rented our Narrows gear through them, using the new Virgin location instead of Springdale. It was more convenient for us since we were staying in Hurricane, making it easy to pick up gear the night before. Easy process, and Maile made sure we had everything we needed plus all the info necessary to stay safe on the hike. One tip: if you're not staying in Springdale and are booking a canyoneering tour, book the Virgin location. Seeing crowds of tourists in identical boots carrying the same poles felt like classic herd behavior and an unnecessary upsell. I was wrong. The rocks in The Narrows are uneven, slippery, and constantly changing. The boots provided great traction, and the pole was invaluable for both balance and gauging water depth. Could you buy cheaper gear for about the same price? Probably. But it likely wouldn't be as good, and you'd have to carry it around. Sometimes there's a good reason to follow the herd.
