I have had some negative experiences with Seattle carpet cleaning services in the past (no shows, weird guys, etc) so I was not really looking forward to my appointment with Zimp this morning, despite the fact that our carpet really needed to be cleaned. I was so pleasantly surprised to be greeted by Bill, the owner, and his assistant right on schedule this morning at my front door. They came in, did a quick look around and got right to work. The whole process took about 20-30 minutes (we have a smaller house) and they were done. I'm 8 months pregnant so I was concerned about smell and chemicals and I couldn't really smell a thing. I found Zimp carpet cleaning when someone at work mentioned them. So ran a google search to find their yelp site. I had never had a carpet cleaned before. The carpet in our apartment was getting a little dirty with a few stains that we never had a chance to get around to cleaning ourselves. I wasn't sure about anything in the process of getting an apartment cleaned and Bill answered all of my questions. We setup a time and he came out and Bill and his son had the entire apartment done in about an hour. Carpets look great except for 1 stain they couldn't get out totally but it looks 100x better then it did before. I would highly recommend Zimp. Bill is great to work with. He's very personable and is good at what he does. Our carpets were very dirty with some significantly problematic areas. Bill worked his magic and got the stains out. He also cleaned our sectional couch which was a little musky due to teenagers and pets and now the couch smells so fresh. How hard is it to find a carpet cleaning service who would clean my 4th story condo without an elevator? Apparently nearly impossible. I called around a good 5 places before I found Zimp on Yelp. Bill was super friendly and assured me they'd be able to use special equipment to clean my condo, and was really flexible on scheduling a time for my hectic schedule. Ruben came early and was incredibly nice. He cleaned my two bedrooms and area rug in less than half-hour, but still did a fabulous job! I was very pleased with my walk-through - and that they got my new-puppy stains out of my area rug. Zimp delivers! I read the Yelp reviews which are all very good. I called and spoke with Tori and she was very knowledgeable and pleasant. She scheduled a same-day appointment to have Bill come over and clean the rugs. Originally I had asked to just have the upstairs done, but needed both up and downstairs done. Bill answered to the task upon arrival later that day and said there would be no problem with that. He swiftly and professionally cleaned the rugs and removed any stains possible. I got a 10% discount for mentioning Yelp and it was done and dusted, quick and easy. Bill offered advice about drying time and doesn't use unpleasant smelling shampoo with chemical odors, such a good guy! They were also able to switch billing from one credit card to another after the service was complete. Overall - just a great company that knows that customer satisfaction is the best way to get referral business - this is a lesson other companies in modern day America should grab a page out of the Zimp playbook and learn! read more

If your unsure of the total price ask them to come by and give you a qoute...its understandable that the cant give you a true price if they havent seen the place, and are then surprised with more work area. As for the discount...dont be shy, tell them you hired them because of Yelp, you will get a 10% discount. Bill was great...I had him do my carpets, around the furniture, my oversized furniture...and then asked if he could do my car seats, which he did. Good job, good personality. Ruben was my man today! I had a roommate that just moved out who was, let's just say, not very cleanliness oriented and "maybe" smoked in his room. Needless to say, the carpets were filthy and the air was stale/smoke filled in that particular room. I called up Zimp yesterday, going by the great reviews here. First off, Ruben and his assistant were able to come earlier than expected. That was nice. Second, it was quick and easy, and they were very professional. Third, they were both *very* nice and thorough. They did the best they could (I still need to paint to get rid of all the smell), but the carpets looked 100% better - one of my other roommates was having an allergic reaction to the room itself, and after the cleaning, was completely fine standing in the room. (I think it was a dust mite infestation, to be honest.) Yay Zimp! I will absolutely use them in the future. ----- After letting the carpet dry overnight, the smell is completely gone. read more

My appt was at 5 and he was here at 4:59 so I definitely appreciated this. I only needed my bedroom clean and it took about 30 min. It took less than a day to dry. I requested a quote and was given a flat rate for a 4 bedroom house and went ahead and scheduled a cleaning of our carpets. When he arrived he realized the house was bigger than expected and wanted to charge more but ultimately he decided to honor the original estimate. Came a few minutes late, which was entirely fine seeing they give you a time approximation and was more than understandable seeing he had employees call out and his van broke down. After apologizing he got right to it, had a look at the rooms and explained what he was going to and what to expect after. He did lightning fast work, had make double check the rooms that they were satisfactory (which they obviously were) and off he went. Started using Zimp 2 or 3 years ago at the property management company I used to work for and they still use them today!
