Affordable, punctual, and quick. The technician, Bill, was super friendly. Couldn't have been more painless and my carpet looks great. Pro tip: you can schedule appointments using their website. read more

Zimp came out to my house for the first time this week to clean my carpets and some tile floors. They did a pretty good job on our carpets. There were some tough stains that they couldn't get out, but I'm not sure any company could. The carpets were as clean as they have been with other companies I've used. And I was happy that the products they use are environmentally friendly. But I was not happy with the job they did on our tile floors. We had two tile floors cleaned. Our bathroom floor was pretty sparkling afterwards, but our kitchen floor (obviously an area that sees a lot of spills) still had sticky spots after it dried. And the worst part was that in BOTH rooms, there was splatter all over our cupboards, appliances, and walls, extending about a foot up from the floor all around. I had to wash everything after they left. I added photos to the photos section that show what happened. And all around the toilet in the bathroom was a sticky dark orange substance that wasn't there before their visit - presumably it was the cleaning product that they had forgotten to wipe off? I had to go in there with a q-tip to get it all off. Yuck! A cleaning company that leaves a mess that I have to clean up? Bottom line: they are fine for cleaning carpets, but find another company to do your tile cleaning. UPDATE: I'm changing my rating from 2 to 3 stars, since I appreciated that the owner did try to make amends for the situation. After quite a bit of back-and-forth with scheduling, the owner volunteered to come to my house to clean the wall surfaces that I was unable to get clean myself. He seemed genuinely concerned that this had happened. However, when I chatted with him over a week after he knew about the incident, he still hadn't talked to the technician who'd done our work, and he didn't know why all of my walls were sprayed. I'm not sure how often they perform tile cleaning, but if this happened as a result of some problem with the tile cleaning machine, I'd have hoped efforts would be made to fix it right away so other customers aren't impacted. read more

I had some post-party related carpet cleaning that I just couldn't get cleaned up well enough by myself, so I called Zimp. I spoke to a very pleasant woman who gave me their reasonable rates over the phone and, since I realized I had never gotten my carpets professionally cleaned before, I ended up going for a full cleaning: 4 levels totaling about 800 square feet of carpet, 1 carpeted flight of stairs, and one small area that needed special attention, all for $160 (does not include any promotions). Not bad! They were able to be here the next day at noon and Dwayne showed up right at noon. I gave him a quick walk through and he got right to work. I gave him a check and the keys to lock up after since I was leaving. Once he was done (about 1.5 hours later), he called me to let me know he had locked up and the key was under the doormat. I am really happy with the results and can't recommend Zimp enough if you need your carpets cleaned. You'll be glad if you do, it's almost like moving into a new place! read more

Zimp deep cleaned our hardwood floors while we were out of town. I know the owners and trust them completely. I felt comfortable having Zimp in our home while we were away. When we arrived back our floors were sparkling clean and a smell that had lingered in the house since we bought it was completely gone. I highly recommend Zimp for hardwood, couches, and of course carpets! read more

My carpet is pretty new but does have food stains here and there from my little kid. Don't want to bother spot cleaning one by one so I booked a carpet cleaning service from Zimp. Whole townhouse (3 bedrooms + 1 living room + 2 set of stairs) were done within an hour which I almost feel too quick. After the carpet dried out I noticed the stains are still there (not even changing a bit?), and I have to do manual spot cleaning myself. Maybe the overall condition of the carpet is cleaner but I am pretty disappointed in not getting the stains out. read more

My whole experience with zimp was a breeze. I needed a large area rug cleaned and was able to make a next-day appointment for in-home cleaning. The guy who came to my house was right on time and super friendly and the price was the best I found! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because there was a pet stain that didn't get totally resolved. read more

Let me start by saying that they cleaned the carpets well, as contracted, but that is where the "good" ends. We were moving out of a narrow 1 car/4 story townhome in W. Seattle the week of Thanksgiving. Zimp told us they could do the job on the Fri (Nov 28th) after Thanksgiving. Originally we contracted another company to clean, but when we saw that Zimp offered cleaning services as well, for less, it seemed like a good idea. We believed the positive Yelp ratings. The carpet cleaning (3 flights of stairs, a long hall, 2 very small bedrooms, and one midsized Master Bedroom), all completely empty, was $200. The cleaning was also $200. When we arrived they were nearly done. Bill the owner, and one of his employees were doing the cleaning because their cleaning people weren't available. They did not have to do the oven at all, and told us they charged $2 extra per window pane, so we had to do the windows ourselves, as we were not paying on top of the $200, and the window policy had not been explained prior. Bill gave us a sob story that he couldn't get the shower clean with his "professional" cleaning chemicals, and there was nothing he could do about it. It was soap and water buildup on the floor and glass sides and door. I'd already scrubbed multiple times in the weeks prior to the move. Once they were paid and gone, we started noticing dust on the window sills as we cleaned the windows, on the front of the cabinetry, build up on the heat vents under lower cupboards, and dust and more around the baseboards, including drywall dust from a repair 2 days prior. It looked like they cleaned the major surfaces, the bathroom and kitchen surfaces and floors, the fridge/freezer (which was emptied and defrosted already by us), and spot cleaned the wood flooring (3rd floor only). When my wife received the obligatory thank you email, from Bill's email address, and signed by Gabby, at the office, she replied to Gabby about issues we needed resolved. After 2 days with no answer, I called and spoke with Gabby, who said she didn't have access to Bill's email, took my numbers, and assured me Bill would reply to my wife and call me back. It has been over 2 weeks, and we have gotten no emails or phone calls from anyone at Zimp. Aside from additional cleaning we had to do ourselves to recoup our deposit, we had to pay an additional $100 to a professional cleaner, that satisfied our landlord, and the return of our deposit was delayed until it could be resolved. Their carpet cleaning was fine, their house cleaning was unapologetically subpar, and their customer service ended when we paid them. I truly wish we had contracted and paid someone else to do the housecleaning! read more

I picked this place based on the numerous positive Yelp reviews that were so good! The owner was polite when he made my appointment. Reuben was on time and a very nice guy. I really wish I could write a great review, but aside from their friendly demeanor that's where the good ends. My one bedroom apartment took around 20 minutes to clean. Thinking back, instead of being happy at how fast he finished, I should have been a little concerned. They forgot a rope to bring up the hose so could not use the truck mount, instead brought up a big blue machine thing. The carpet was soaking wet when he finished. I mean REALLY soaked, as I padded around in slippers you could hear the squish squish squish as I walked. There was serious condensation on all of my windows as well. It has now been 29 hours my carpet is still damp enough to soak my socks. I'm now beginning to stress about mold growth in my near future. We're having to stay with friends for another night with a newborn and a dog is not an ideal situation. I cannot put my furniture down for fear of ruining the wood and we have furniture piled on our beds. My carpet has already shown spots as if it were never cleaned. The dirty spots are all still present (not to mention silly stains like dried dog food that I usually scrub up myself with store formula spot cleaner didn't get removed). I paid $125+20 for extra freshening so I am out $145 for a non-professional job. I am beyond disappointed and feel cheated and ripped off. The same results can come from a Rug Doctor for around $30. I do not recommend this company because of their work (or might be just outdated machinery). read more

Bait and switch promo of $75 for $100 service. This company requires $125 minimum. Also, never bothered to reply to my online appointment booking, but happily spammed me with requests to refer others. Avoid at all costs... This company can't even manage appointments well. read more

Great Problem Solvers! My girlfriend and I moved into an apartment with a carpeted bedroom which smelled like the dog of the previous tenants, not a pleasant sleeping experience for us. The building management brought in their cheap cleaning company to try to get the smell out: that company did a mediocre job, used a toxic de-odorizer, and left the bedroom smelling like and even worse combination of dog and chemicals. So we called up Zimp. I explained the situation to Bill, who was understanding about our desire for non-toxic and lightly scented product, and told us about a new product that they could use specially for our situation. We were able to set up an appointment for the very next day; his cleaning guy arrived early, was very professional, answered all our questions about what he was going to do and use, and did a fantastic job. They left the room smelling A LOT better, neither a heavy chemical fume nor the pet odor was left. Now, as of the writing of this review, some tiny hints of the original odor waft by still. I'm not holding that against Zimp, I think they did as much and as thoroughly as can be done, given our requirements. At this point this carpet just needs to be replaced or removed. Zimp provides a great service, I would definitely recommend them. read more

We were moving and selling and buying, zimp cleaned up the large house we sold and also cleaned our new house. Everything was perfect (as usual), thanks Zimp! read more

The service was very friendly and professional and he charges a fair price. I would for sure use him again.

We had our rental house cleaned and the carpet looked fine after cleaning but all around the baseboards a lot of pet hair and debris remained. Not sure if that's typical because we didn't vacuum for that specifically prior, but it's the first time I can recall having so much gunk around the edges after carpets were done. Good customer service, just not sure I will call again. read more

I booked a carpet cleaning with Bill from Zimp over the phone for a confirmed price for 1200 sq. feet and 1 set of stairs (two stories). After spending two hours moving furniture and taking a half day off work, Bill showed up at my door without a greeting and informed me that the price would be 10% more because there are stairs to the first floor! There was no mention of the 10% discount, and no sympathy or concern for my time. He was unprofessional, assumed that I would simply accept the higher price, and pay the extra fee with no questions. I would not recommend doing business with this company. read more

Bill was friendly and timely, completing the job more quickly than I expected and with better results. There were a few small lightly discolored spots that remained after cleaning (my carpet is at the end of it's natural life), but before he left he happily pointed them out and explained why those spots wouldn't come out. I like it when a technician knows his craft and good customer service. It was a pleasure to meet someone who really enjoys their work. Yay Zimp! read more

Reasonable rates, Clean carpets and flexible, But service was late. I understand why Zimp has such good ratings. If they were not two hours late for my appointment, I would also give them five stars. The person who answered the phone was friendly and efficient; I received a follow-up call after the service was delivered, the price was excellent compared to the few other companies I called, and the carpet was like new at the end of the cleaning. And yet....I waited in my empty apartment for over half an hour, left them a message, and when I finally got a hold of them, they apologized and said they were running late and would be another half hour at most. They did, at that time, offer me a $15 discount for being late but my time, especially during a move, is worth waaaaay more than $15/hour. It was more than an hour later (and nearly two hours later than original quoted time) that someone arrived. Given the other reviews, I would chalk this up to an exception rather than a rule so I would use them again and give them a second chance if I needed my carpets cleaned. read more

Hi. I have used this service 6 months ago so pretty late review. But I must say William and his apprentice did a great job. Thank them so much. read more

I have two dogs, a cat...and white carpet (bad combination) so I try to have my carpets cleaned often. I have used several companies in the past and have always had mediocre results - I just figured certain areas would never be spot-free. There was a bit of confusion on the day/time of my appointment but Bill sent someone out immediately after I called which was great customer service. It was the fastest that anyone has ever cleaned my carpets so at first I was nervous, but I was absolutely shocked to see that my carpets looked like new again!! After my previous experiences I didn't think it was possible. The price was VERY reasonable as well. It was a fantastic experience overall and I highly recommend ZIMP! read more

For my move out inspection at my old apartment, I was looking for carpet cleaners who had good reviews on their service and who were also specifically environment and pet friendly. I found Zimp Carpet Cleaning on Yelp, and all of the reviews were exactly right - Zimp is a great company. The cleaner Eric came exactly at his scheduled appt time, was friendly and professional, and my carpets were cleaner than before I moved in! And to top it all off, it was really affordable. I would definitely use them again in the future. read more

They were quick, came on time, and did a great job cleaning the carpet for an apartment I vacated. I would recommend them to a friend.

Trustworthy and reliable. I found them on Yelp, and decided to book them based on other good reviews. I needed service immediately on a 3-bd house. The owner responded to my voice mail immediately, and was able to book a full house cleaning within a couple of days. I couldn't be there to let the cleaners in, so I left them a key. Everything was done over the phone, Bill called me to let me know the status of the cleaning during the day (arrival and completion of the job) the transaction was smooth (paid by credit card over the phone), and I never met anyone. I went to the house later that evening and they did a fantastic job on a carpet that hadn't been cleaned in over a decade. read more

I called around to several carpet cleaning services and most of them seemed like 1 man shows- which I don't have a problem with, but if you're going to be running the whole show then phone etiquette is a must as well as results. Bill answered the phone and he was friendly, and seemed to want my business. I was able to get in the next day and the service professional at my door was extremely well-mannered as well as did a great job- well worth the money. Zimp rocks!!! read more

This is the kind of service that you don't use too often, so it's hard to know where to turn. Found Zimp on Yelp and was pleased with the service. They fit me in last minute. Showed up on time. Didn't make me feel guilty for not doing every area in my home. No-nonsense & a fair price. Our carpet has been awful since we bought our place - it wasn't very high quality to begin with, and it would stain with even a drop of water. We had it cleaned after we moved in by Coit, but the stains would come back almost immediately. This year I found Zimp off of the Yelp reviews and decided to go with a green, local company. Bill from Zimp worked insanely hard and seriously made our carpet look better than it every has (and it seriously looked bad)! And even a few days later, none of the stains have come back! And there was no leftover chemicals or smell - just cleanliness! I would recommend Zimp to anyone who needs their carpet cleaned. read more

Had a good cleaning job from another carpet cleaning company, the last time we had our carpets cleaned, but thought they were rather expensive. After reading yelp reviews for Zimp I decided to give them a call. Bill was very pleasant to deal with and was able to schedule our cleaning on short notice and quoted me a very fair price. I was concerned they might not be able to get some tough stains out but Jason, the tech that came out to clean our carpets did an amazing job!!! He was on time, polite, professional, fast, and got all our stains out. The carpet looks nearly new. We couldn't be happier and will definitely use them again. Good job Jason and thanks Bill!! read more

Have used Zimp a couple times on our rental condo in downtown Seattle. Bill always returns our calls and has always done a wonderful job. They are a "green" company and have an ongoing positive relationship with our building management. I feel comfortable referring them as a company and am confident they would do a great job for you too! Did I mention I have not ever met anyone from Zimp, including Bill, in person? Don't need to. Because of their relationship with our condo association, they are let in and are able to do their job and get out without issue, they are trust worthy and reliable. Highly highly recommend them! and continue to use them. read more

Zimp cleaning did a great job cleaning the carpets, vinyl, and hardwood floors of our house. They were quick to respond, and were kind enough to accommodate a couple of last minute schedule changes.
