The first time, I was super pregnant with my first baby and had a couch from my old apartment that had all kinds of smells trapped in it. By the time he was done, they were completely gone. Fast forward to now -- pregnant with my second, and we fostered a puppy for a few months on top of having a toddler running around. Between the accidents, the spills, and just the general chaos, my heightened pregnancy sense of smell had me noticing every single thing. After Guy was done, the house smelled brand new. I couldn't believe the difference. He was quick, thorough, and so easy to work with. Reasonably priced, and on top of communication from the very beginning. Guy was good at everything, including texting to let me know he was 10 minutes from arrival. I don't think you can go wrong with Guy! If there were 10 stars, he would have gotten them. He was also the one who performed the cleaning, and I appreciated both his pleasant attitude and his willingness to reschedule my appointment previously. That said, I'm unfortunately pretty disappointed with the actual service. When scheduling, I specifically explained that I was looking for a deep cleaning of the carpeted stairs and hallways. I also asked beforehand whether furniture could be moved and was told that it could be. Once he arrived, however, moving the furniture was never mentioned again, and I probably should have spoken up about it at the time. What surprised me most was the cleaning process itself. He used a hand vacuum, sprayed the carpets with cleaning solutions from spray bottles, then went over them with what appeared to be a standard Shark vacuum and another machine that, as far as I could tell, didn't use water or perform the type of extraction/deep cleaning I was expecting. The entire service took less than an hour and cost $180. To his credit, the carpets did smell better afterward, and he was very nice throughout the visit. He even recognized my screen name and jokingly mentioned that he'd wondered what kind of customer I might be...which was actually pretty funny. Thankfully, I promise I'm less terrifying in person. But ultimately, my family and I weren't happy with the final result. For $180 and a service described as a deep clean, I expected a noticeably deeper level of carpet cleaning than what we received. Instead, I was left with the unfortunate feeling that I could have rented a carpet-cleaning machine and achieved a more thorough result myself for considerably less money. I don't enjoy leaving negative reviews, especially when the person providing the service was genuinely nice. But friendliness and results are two different things. I appreciated him coming out and enjoyed talking with him; I just don't feel the service I received matched what I understood I was paying for.

I can't say enough about the integrity and professionalism of this company. I have been using Pro-tech for more than 10 years and I have always been happy with the services provided. Here is just one example of my experience with Pro-tech. Last June, we had a horrible water damage from the big SUPRISE rain storm that hit that month. We had just torn off our roof the day before, to begin to replace it. The wind that night blew off the tarp and it started to rain, (hard).. When we woke up to rain pouring down our walls and thru the ceiling, I called Pro-Tech, and the owner Scott, came right over and started damage control! I feel that had he not been so quick to start the drying process in the walls and started fans for the carpeting, we would have had to replace many walls. These days, I don't trust people in my home, alone,.... But I trust Scott. He is honest, trustworthy, and fair. He always does a great job! ( he even knows where the 'hide-a-key' is hidden. ) read more

I have been a customer for a couple years now. I have three small children and I used to have an elderly dog. I have been desperately trying to keep my carpets "good enough" until the youngest is a little older. Scott has saved me from buying new carpet. He is meticulous and the floors look awesome every. single. time. I have him come every 4-6 months and I am so happy with the service. He got stains out that I never thought would and they haven't returned. He's quick. He's professional. He even came back a couple weeks after a cleaning because we had a sick kid related issue on the carpet. I texted him that morning to see if he was in the area. He stopped by later that day and saved me a pretty gross cleanup. And BAM, my clean carpets were clean again!! Awesome carpet service. You won't find a better one. read more

Just had our carpets cleaned by them and was so impressed I felt obligated to leave a review. On the phone I got a rough estimate, which turned out to be pretty much the cost (no "surprise" charges). While here, I was given options to have him move whatever needed to be moved or keep in place what would be better not moved - furniture with no air circulation and not having moved before, he suggested keeping put. But it was completely up to me how much or little he did, and he gave me his advice on what I should or shouldn't do and why. A mix of friendliness and professionalism that you don't usually get both of. If you need your carpet cleaned, don't worry about searching more listings. Honestly, I'd recommend them (insist them) to my friends, family, or anyone asking. read more

After having our family and friends come over to help reroof our house, our carpets took a serious beating. I was positive that the next expense was going to be replacing the carpets. I checked the reviews here on Yelp for someone nearby and was pretty convinced with the other reviews to at least give Scott a try and was extremely pleased with the results. He was able to remove set in stains from three years ago, along with stains from many a nights of dogs getting sick and vomiting on the floor only to be found the next morning after it was dry and impossible to clean up. I couldn't be happier. The nap of the fibers were crushed down and somehow my carpets look almost new again! Definitely worth a try before you replace! Thank you Scott! read more

A couple of years ago my sister in law referred Pro-Tech Carpet Cleaning to us. We have a finished basement with wall-to-wall white Berber carpet, came with the house, and no money for new carpets. We then "acquired" a small dog who seemed to think the basement is an extension of the backyard. So, pet stains, regular dirt from foot traffic, etc. made this carpet pretty disgusting after awhile. Pro-Tech cleaned our carpets for us in 2012 and then again today and the result was amazing. All pet, dirt stains and odors are gone! He is fast and professional and very reasonably priced. In all the years of having my carpets cleaned, I have never had someone to do a better job than Scott of Pro-tech. He is amazingly good at his profession--in fact, the best. He brings my older carpet back to life each time I call him by removing all the stains and spots from Grandchildren playing at my house. One time, he had a horrific job of cleaning smoke smudges from my carpet and furniture after a minor house fire. I am always so impressed by what a good job he does. At any given time, we have 1-2 large dogs in the house and they are not gentle on our flooring. When Scott leaves, our carpets look like new.
