Although my carpets are cleaner than before the cleaning and the man who cleaned them was very nice, I can't recommend this place. They use environmentally-friendly products which is the reason I picked them. After the man left, I ended up vacuuming the whole house because he'd left behind much of the "sawdust" he'd used as part of the cleaning process. He first hand sprayed portions of the carpet and then threw out handfuls of what looked like sawdust all over. I've been finding bits of this granular dust all over the house for a week. He then used a cleaning machine and ended with vacuuming but it was not thorough at all! I had vacuumed the house before he arrived and was nit happy to have to do it again after he left. To top it all off, he tore my wingback chair by using too hot and uneven application of cleaner to it. See my photos. read more

Exceptional service, outcome and customer service!!! Paul responded to my quote request promptly and provided an estimate (that he came in below of!!!) I have three children in the house (plus a hamster but it doesn't really count in terms of messiness). With the amount and variety of child related spills (everything from juice, to vomit, and play dough) the carpets were filthy!!! We actually considered replacing the carpet (10 years old) but it would have costed almost $10,000. Over the holidays I had about 10 kids over for a cookie baking party and pretty much right after decided that the carpets require a professional cleaning. They looked ruined. Paul came on the dot, measured the areas (subtracting where the furnishings were) and thoroughly cleaned in under 90 minutes. He uses a natural surfactant that kills germs and allergens. The carpets were just vacuumed yesterday but he pulled a ton of hair with his machine! The spots came out completely and the carpets were dry. He is so professional and a pleasure to work with. I decided to splurge on carpet and upholstery cleaning in my apartment to combat the dust, stains, and pet odors that had accumulated over my ~3 year stay here. I researched a few companies, but Enviro-care had stellar yelp reviews as well as a Microsoft prime card discount, so I called their number first. Normally I prefer to email businesses since I'm deaf, but there was no email listed so I called the number using an online captioning service. Paul spoke with me and was very patient as I waited for the captions (You'd be surprised how many businesses hang up!). We then switched over to text to confirm the details and time of my appointment (set for 3-4 days after I called). Overall, super easy to set up :-). Paul came over at the agreed upon time. He is wonderful- professional, courteous, and friendly. Really knows his stuff and is excited to talk about the products he uses. He first did measurements and walked me through the pricing and the good deals. I had to spend most of my time entertaining my drama queen doggy but when I was around, Paul asked if I wanted to see the dirty water from steam cleaning the couch and mattress (sooo dirrrty) and showed me the cleaning products he was using. He worked for 2 hours in total. When my dog and I got back from a walk towards the end, the apartment looked and smelled incredible!!! Some tough stains that I thought were immortal were all gone! I hate to ruin the perfect 5-star review streak of this business, and I rarely give negative reviews, but I have a few issues that I think that potential clients of Paul's need to know about. Perhaps Paul is becoming complacent with so many happy customers and is letting his standard of customer care slip, or perhaps he was having a certain kind of day. Either way, I intend my post as a learning experience for him so that no other customers have to deal with what I had to deal with the other day, and that all of his other customers in the future can hopefully continue to give him well-deserved 5 star reviews. Paul came out to clean the carpets in my Magnolia home 3 months ago. If that was my only experience with him, I would have given him 5 stars just like everyone else here. That time, he was prompt, courteous, professional, and did a great job. His fee was clear in advance, and it was a reasonable fee for the amount of work to be done. Our carpets looked several shades lighter after he was done, and we could walk on our carpets only 3 hours after he finished cleaning them. I was raving about him to family and friends. The second time that I worked with Paul was a week or two ago. I had him come out to the Magnolia place again to clean a couple of large area rugs that I recently received. For this particular time, I got a voice mail on my phone as I was on the road heading out to the Magnolia home, which was a 45-minute drive from where I was. It was Paul. He was asking if he could come ONE HOUR EARLY, with exactly 2 hours of notice, for this job. While this was slightly annoying and I found it to be slightly disrespectful, I figured that if I was in his shoes, I may think that I might as well ask -- the client may say yes, and the client can easily say no if it does not work for them. So I called him and left him a voice mail and told him that I'd be out at the house exactly 5 minutes prior to our agreed-upon meeting time, and that I'd see him there. I would like to clearly emphasize that I did NOT apologize for not being able to accommodate HIS schedule, as, of course, there was nothing for me to apologize for. I was also not angry - YET - I was slightly annoyed, but polite. Paul called me back about 15 minutes prior to our agreed-upon meeting time. This is where things started to get weird. Paul said TWICE "It's okay that you couldn't meet me an hour earlier, but since you couldn't, I went home, fed the dog, did a couple of chores, and now I am running late." AS THOUGH I HAD APOLOGIZED and AS THOUGH IT WAS MY FAULT FOR NOT SHOWING UP AN HOUR EARLY THAT HE WAS NOW LATE FOR OUR APPOINTMENT. It is the business' responsibility to accommodate client schedules, not the other way around. There's no harm in him asking to meet earlier than agreed upon, but to blame me for his lateness since I was unable to accommodate his last-minute meet-one-hour-early request is incredibly unprofessional, off-putting, and outright ridiculous. I was clearly annoyed at this point, but tried to tone that down since I just wanted my carpet cleaned and to get on with my day. Paul showed up quite a bit late, THEN HE STOPPED CLEANING THE CARPET TO TALK ON HIS PHONE THREE DIFFERENT TIMES IN THE MIDDLE OF HIS JOB. This wasn't a long job. It wouldn't have taken more than 2 hours if not for his lateness and his calls. Not only had he showed up late, and blamed ME for him being late, he was now taking what were clearly casual, social, non-emergency calls in the middle of his job?!?! Paul even knew that this was unprofessional because he came over to me and told me in a guilty tone of voice that he could never get that guy, "Mike," off of the phone. Then he explained all about who Mike was to him and how they met. I hadn't asked. At this point, I am starting to get REALLY irritated thinking, "You already showed up late, blamed that on ME AS THE CLIENT NOT SHOWING UP AN HOUR EARLY AT LAST MINUTE NOTICE, and then you already know that you cannot get this guy off of the phone, and you accept his social call in the middle of your job?" No, no, NO! Needless to say, I will not be using Paul's business in the future. My intent of this review is so that he understands that this is really, really not acceptable and he needs to not do this again, not take his 5 star reviews for granted, and go back to his outstanding level of service in future that everyone else is happy with. Paul, if you have seen a client a total of 2 times, this does not mean that you have license to act unprofessionally the second time around. You need to stick to your usual standards of professionalism, ESPECIALLY with repeat customers. You deserve to keep every penny of your money that I have paid you for both times, since you showed up and did the job and since my carpets look clean, but please don't take repeat customers' business for granted in terms of letting your professionalism slide. But there was a Living Social deal, and we had just gotten this couch used, and my girlfriend wanted the peace of mind that comes with a good cleaning. The value of the service was apparent by the look on her face when the couch dried off and we put the cushions back. Money well spent. When Paul came, he was personable, amicable, helpful. Self sufficient, and courteous. Would have to problem recommending him to ANYONE that wanted this service done. I have no doubt that if I wasn't satisfied with something that he would take care of it until I was. Our carpet was in need of a cleaning - I did not want to have a long dry time or a lot of chemicals (we have an asthmatic senior cat) - Paul listened to my concerns, made sure I understood the HOST method of cleaning, gave me an estimate up-front and was able to schedule us quickly.
