I am writing to express my concern regarding the unprofessional, disrespectful, and dismissive attitude displayed by "Latiera" from the Leasing Team. Unfortunately, my experience with her has been extremely disappointing. Her manner of communicating with residents came across as rude, dismissive, and lacking the level of professionalism and courtesy I would expect from someone working in customer service, particularly at a luxury apartment community. Recently, my mother, who is a senior, needed assistance disposing of a large item. The trash bin on the ground floor needed to be opened because the item clearly would not fit through the trash chute. When my mother asked Latiera for assistance, she was told to wait until the following morning because Latiera was busy and was preparing to leave work. This occurred at approximately 5:00 PM. What was particularly upsetting was not simply that assistance was delayed, but the way Latiera interacted with my mother. Her demeanor, tone, and facial expressions came across as dismissive and condescending. My mother should never have been made to feel as though she was an inconvenience simply for asking for reasonable assistance. Basic professionalism and respectful communication should always be maintained when interacting with residents. The way this situation was handled gave the impression that Latiera was unwilling to assist and unhappy about being asked to perform a basic resident-service responsibility. We pay nearly $4,000 for our two-bedroom apartment, a luxury apartment community and with that level of rent, residents should not feel that they are being treated as an inconvenience when they request reasonable assistance. I also strongly encourage management to review the recent Google and Yelp reviews concerning this property, as there appear to be repeated complaints regarding Latiera's attitude and interactions with residents. She should be fired for her behavior. If these concerns are recurring, they should be taken seriously rather than dismissed as isolated incidents. Continued poor customer service can negatively affect resident retention, the property's reputation, and the ability to attract future tenants. I am asking management to formally review this incident and the broader concerns regarding Latiera's conduct. I believe her behavior warrants serious disciplinary consideration, including evaluating whether she is appropriate for a resident-facing position. I was here for 2 years now and it wasn't until the end of this year did I start feeling so uncomfortable and receive horrible customer service from their new employee "Latiera" or however her name is spelled. I've had a few unpleasant phone conversations with her and 2 in person. She is EXTREMELY rude and unprofessional!! Not sure how she even received a customer service job. If you are ever looking to rent here, save your time and ask for someone else. For the amount of money someone pays to rent here, you would expect great customer service at all times from everyone! I've lived here long enough to notice a pattern, and unfortunately the leasing office has been one of the biggest disappointments. Almost every interaction I've had with the office has felt rude or dismissive. It often seems like certain residents are treated differently, which makes the experience feel inconsistent and unfair. One example was when I asked about an available parking spot. I was told I had to email a specific employee and wait until Monday for a response because it was the weekend. Later that same day, I found out someone else had already been given the spot. That made absolutely no sense and left me feeling like I was never given a fair opportunity. Another time, a resident complained that I had parked too close and they couldn't back into their space. I went outside to check immediately and my car was completely within the lines with plenty of room on their side. When I went to the leasing office to explain the situation, I was met with a rude attitude instead of someone willing to hear me out. The property itself is decent, but the customer service from the leasing office has consistently been frustrating. Residents deserve to be treated with respect and have policies applied fairly to everyone. Until that changes, I can't recommend living here. read more

Updating my Review! I've lived at Zia for almost a year now and honestly I've had such a good experience here. When I first toured and applied I worked with Shelby and she was amazing. Super sweet, super helpful, answered every question I had and emailed me back so fast. I even applied on a weekend and things still moved quick which I really appreciated. The property itself is beautiful, I really loved the amenities and the whole vibe right away. The apartment was brand new when I moved in so I was honestly super excited about that. And even my move in was easy which was shocking because I moved during a holiday weekend and nobody was in the office but they still made sure I had everything I needed and I didn't run into any issues at all. Maintenance has always been great, they're quick and helpful and I always see them around keeping the place nice. The amenities are honestly really good and you can tell they try to stay on top of everything. I also really love the weekly food trucks and the holiday events, those little things make it feel more like a community and not just a place to sleep. The community has grown a lot this past year and I feel like the team really does try to keep everyone following the rules and just keeping the place feeling safe and respectful. I've never had any issues with management, they've always been good to me and super responsive whenever I needed anything. You just have to be a good tenant and care! Overall I just think this is a great place to live! Like genuinely. I've had nothing but a positive experience and I'm really grateful for how smooth everything has been here. read more

If I could give it a zero I would ! Have been here for a year and still can't get my damn parking situation fixed. I was moved parking spot , then was told the parking spot was taken already , gave me a temporary parking spot where someone is also parked . Have been moving around for a week with no parking spot . We pay all this money to be looking for a parking spot when I should already have one . Every time I go in there no one knows anything and I need to speak the manager . Manager apparently isn't in everyday, she's there maybe once a week if we're lucky . Ridiculous . Management is horrible !!! They never ever answer phones or emails . I really loved this apartment when I toured with Sam and instantly fell in love with the amenities, especially the gym. The location is also super convenient with the freeway just a block away, which is perfect for my everyday commute to work. After applying and getting approved, my move in date isn't until March, so I've had a few questions as a future residentUnfortunately, it's been really hard to get in touch with the office. I've called multiple times during office hours with no answer, and the only time I was able to reach someone was when I called from a coworker's phone. Nice apartment but there are constant parties taking place in the courtyard that keep me up way later than I'd like to be. They blast music and even yelling and laughing travels extremely well all the way to the 4th (top) floor. Security isn't great and half the time goes to the wrong location without following up. Living at Zia has gotten so much better thanks to Corrie. When we first moved in, we had ongoing issues with noise and cleanliness. Several times a week, staff would roll eight large dumpsters right past the doors next to our unit. The banging was extremely loud and often woke up my family. It made it difficult for my wife to get any rest during the day since she works night shifts. Sometimes the dumpsters were left sitting right outside our unit, which attracted a lot of flies to our patio. Some even made it inside our apartment. We reported the problem multiple times and even shared video recordings, but for a while nothing changed. It was frustrating, especially considering the rent for what's supposed to be a luxury apartment. Corrie from management really turned things around. She listened, understood our concerns, and arranged to have the trash route changed so it no longer affects our unit. Since then, everything has improved. The noise is gone, the flies are gone, and our home feels peaceful again. We truly appreciate Corrie for stepping in and making a difference. Avoid at all costs. This place is a nightmare. Living at the Zia Apartments has been one of the worst experiences I've ever had. From day one, the property has been poorly maintained -- there's trash constantly overflowing around the complex, and dog poop is scattered across the community areas like no one on staff cares to clean it up. It's unsanitary and disgusting. Even worse, I experienced what I can only describe as blatant racial discrimination from both management and certain residents. There's a clear difference in how people of color are treated here -- from how complaints are handled to who gets warnings or fines for things everyone else does freely. It's subtle, but it's there, and it's toxic. I gave this place a chance, but nothing has changed, and I've had enough. If you're looking for a safe, clean, respectful place to live -- look elsewhere. I recently applied for an apartment at Zia and was disappointed with my experience. Not only was my application denied without a clear explanation, but I also felt that I was not informed about any available specials or promotions that other applicants seemed to benefit from. I called multiple times to ask about my application and no one ever answered me or called me back. Then when I went up there they said there was no call from me on the caller ID (super lie) I even called from my job. This lack of communication and transparency raises concerns about potential discrimination in the application process. It left me feeling unwelcome and undervalued as a prospective tenant. I am a African American women who makes 6 figures, with excellent credit and I truly felt discriminated against. OH and I still have not received my deposit back that was charged 10/15. INSANE. I hope management takes steps to improve their processes and ensure that all applicants are treated fairly and equitably.
