Amazing food and ambience! The food was so delicious, everything I tried was so worth it and mouth watering. It's a small space so it's not good for big groups but they make it work. Such a great spot, def recommend!

Cute spot with good food and friendly staff - it was slow only 1 other table there besides us but it was like 2pm so very early- in addition to the restaurant with a full menu there is also a bobba counter when you walk in. We ordered ginger beef with fried rice - garlic broccoli - crab wontons - old fashion and cosmopolitan- everything was good and service was quick - the restaurant was really clean

The food was very good and portion sizes were great. It was a busy night when we went, but service was good, though a little slow. Lively atmosphere but had a comfortable vibe. We tried a few of the holiday cocktails and they were great!

We enjoyed a wonderful meal and finished off w some glazed donuts! These were So yummy!!

Zhencha is an absolute gem in San Juan! The Ambience, Service, food and drinks were beyond amazing. My husband loved his refreshing watermelon lemonade with strawberry boba pearls and the flavorful pork belly with garlic tostones. I enjoyed an incredible coco matcha along with the most delicious soy garlic wings and jasmine rice. We also want to celebrate Yanni and wish her nothing but success--she made our visit so memorable. We're already planning to come back ASAP, and only wish we had more time on the island to enjoy it all over again.

I only tried a drink, so I can't speak to the food here, but the matcha was so good! I got the mango matcha, and the matcha had such a good taste. I am usually not a matcha fan, but I just don't think I've had good matcha before. Also, the restaurant side is really nice looking!

I really wanted to like this place but I left disappointed. The place is beautiful inside. They have two different sections - a more casual boba tea/cafe terrace and the restaurant with an indoors bar. The service was average, nothing outstanding. We order two different appetizers but only one made it to the table, the server forgot to place the other one. I did my research before coming to the restaurant and I read they were very popular with the bubble teas so I order a passion fruit coco tea from the summer limited edition menu. The tea was delicious, I loved it! Too bad I can't say the same about the food. We order the pork dumplings as appetizers, it was the item we liked the most out of everything we ordered. As main course I had the Walnut Shrimp with the thickest breaded and soaked in a bland sauce, to make it worst it came cold. My husband had the pepper steak which he said he didn't like because of the bad quality of the meat. Another dish we tried was the fried rice, which was good but not outstanding. It was ok. The 'tostones al ajillo' were crispy and tasty, came freshly made! The point is that in Puerto Rico there has been a culture deeply rooted for many years of Puerto Rican Chinese (Asian) restaurants with almost all those same dishes on the menu. This restaurants are usually hole in the walls type of places but they make freshly to order delicious food for the fraction of the money this restaurant charges. And is not about the money, I wouldn't mind pay whatever they charge but make it worth. Based on my experience it didn't. I also love to support local businesses and I'm doing this review as a feed back to improve the mistakes made and grow. I know it's a relative new restaurant and mistakes happens, I'm definitely going to give it a second chance later on. Coming back for the bubble teas!

First ever boba in PR for me and it didn't disappoint. I tried the rose milk tea and it was delicious. Zhencha has two sections - a casual cafe that serves coffee and bubble tea, and the restaurant with a bar indoors. It looks chic and exciting, I wish I had had space to be able to try out some of the food and alcoholic drinks. The owner, Yan, was making the bubble teas and attending to customers herself. Inspiring story of minority woman-owned business that I'm definitely rooting for!

I have been following Yanhi on Instagram a few years now. The Asian community in Puerto Rico is growing and i just love it. When her restaurant finally opened this year I knew I had to make a trip here. So we flflew in from Oklahoma on Friday and this was our stop after visiting Old San Juan. The place is very beautiful. When you walk in, you have a little boba/tea bar. Then you walk through another door and there is a bar and dinner area with mood lighting. The menu is not huge but all their foid is well priced and the portions are perfect. We ordered tostones al ajillo ( garlic fried plantains), they were DELICIOUS! We had the Zhencha carne fritas, The Imperial ginger, oolong tea, rose butterfly lemonade, and fried rice on the side. Probably the best fried rice i have ever had. The carne fritas was cooked to perfection. It was nice and juicy and flavorful. The Imperial ginger chicken was divine. Our server was attentive and very helpful in our selection. We were able to see the social media team at work while there. Love seeing the behind the scenes videos and pics. Then we got to meet the owner, Yanhi. She's so nice and we chatted for a bit. I'm wishing nothing but the best for her and her crew. I rate a 10/10. A definite must when in the area. The fried rice that

Wonton soup/passion fruit mango tea milk cloud

This place serves authentic Cantonese food, seriously! I highly recommend the crispy pork belly with the pork and egg fried rice--absolutely amazing. For drinks, we tried the passionfruit mango tea with cheese foam and the brown sugar boba milk tea. The brown sugar one was a bit too sweet for me, but the passionfruit mango tea was surprisingly good--the tea was strong, the passionfruit had a nice tang, and the lychee cheese foam added just the right sweetness. Super refreshing and not heavy at all. We also got the Hong Kong-style fried noodles and a wonton soup. The noodle portion was huge. The noodles are a mix--crispy around the edges and soft in the middle, topped with stir-fried toppings. I personally loved the soft part in the middle more. The small wonton soup came with two pork wontons--tasted really authentic. I just wish they had shrimp wontons too. Honestly, most of the "Asian" food around here ends up being fusion, but this spot really tastes like real Chinese food. Super rare to find that in PR!

First time visiting and definitely will be returning! The food was really good, I have 0 complaints nor rec's on how to fix any detail of the food. For me, the star of the show were the tostones.. WOW I have never had such a perfect tostones like these. They had the perfect amount of Garlic so you don't feel like a dragon. The service was really quick and the server were very polite- no complaints there too Highly recommend this place!

I'm a little biased because I used to work with the owner- but YanYi has opened an awesome new Asian bistro! Her cocktails were expertly designed and mixed - so delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed the Korean wings (how are these chickens so big?!) and sizzling beef platter. The ambiance is nice and cozy but chic at the same time with the lighting and sleek decor. I highly recommend Zhencha for a hearty meal and a lovely cocktail to go with it in San Juan!

Servicio, sabor, ambiente y rapidez de la comida. Todo pero todo super rico. Lo unico malo es que no tienen estacionamiento.solo por esto es mi 4 estrella y no 5.

Came here for my birthday, what a great night!! Food was amazing, my husband and I shared the soy garlic wings... great start to dinner. Everyone there was attentive, we called ahead of time to ask about wait time - it was accurate and we were sat right away. Our waiter was nice and we got to speak with the manger at the end of our dinner. She came by introduced herself and even offered to take photos of me with the bar area for my birthday. So so sweet and such a little gesture that made my night! Overall the restaurant is worth the visit! Not too loud, great vibe for date night or out with the family. Will be visiting again

On the left, the owner (Yanyi) came out to serve us and gave us great recommendations!!! On the right, since 2012 my beautiful wife.

My parents had eaten here before and said it was really good, so we were excited to see if it lived up to the hype. The restaurant had a lively, bustling atmosphere, with a steady stream of customers dining in and picking up takeout orders. Even though it was busy, the staff kept things moving efficiently. Even for a large order, the wait was only about 30 minutes. They have a separate pickup area for to-go orders, which made the process organized and easy despite how busy they were. We ordered the beef fried rice, house fried rice, churrasco steak, house lo mein, sesame beef, jumbo shrimp, chicken wings, fried pork, pork ramen, and three sushi rolls. The kids in our family chose the Philly Roll, Salmon Avocado Roll, and Red Dragon Roll, and they really enjoyed them. I had originally planned to order a different sushi roll from the menu, but it wasn't available that day. It wasn't a big deal, though, because the rolls we did get were fresh and delicious. Everything was flavorful and well prepared. The churrasco steak was my personal favorite--the meat was incredibly tender and already well seasoned on its own. My husband wasn't a fan of the accompanying sauce, but he agreed the steak itself was excellent. We also really enjoyed the fried rice, and the portions were generous. They were also generous with the condiments and included a variety of sauces with our order, which we appreciated. The only thing we missed was chili oil, since it's a condiment we usually expect to have available at Chinese restaurants. If you're staying nearby or looking for a restaurant that offers both Chinese and Japanese cuisine, Tayzan is definitely worth checking out. Just be prepared for a crowd--it seems to be popular for a reason!

Great flavors but the execution could improve. I would have like the 'bacalaito' to be more crispy. - Cabrito Dumpling: Tender goat stew dumpling with Asian spices. It was tasty but be mindful that the 'cabrito' flavors are rich and intense specially in this take. Also the dough was a little thick to my liking. This dish delivered the best umami flavors. The noodles had great texture. - A la Vietnamita, Chuleta: The 'chuleta' (pork chop) were perfectly cooked, tasty. I fought for the bone piece.
