This is an overdue review. Came here a month ago with friends and family. Radio is located off the popular Calle Loiza, which is packed with restaurants and bars. It's a little unfortunate they're it in Loiza because if you're driving by looking for a spot, you'll miss it. From what I recall, the directions on Yelp are accurate. The restaurant isn't very big but it's comfortable. Vibe is cool and trendy. Good spot to bring a date also family friendly. Not sure if they're dog friendly. They don't have outdoor seating and street parking only. Service was excellent. We met the owner's brother. He was super friendly. As much as I love a good tonkotsu ramen I wanted something lighter so I went with miso ramen. It used chicken broth instead of pork broth. It was good. Noodles were just right. On my next visit I'd like to try the tonkotsu ramen.

Happy vegan after eating at Dashi. I was in search of vegan food walking distance in Ocean Park. I couldn't find much, adjusted my search to vegetarian and came across Dashi. I called and spoke with Juan Carlos. I asked about vegetarian and vegan options, and he was generous in offering to modify any of their dishes to make them vegan. I had the veggie gyoza which are made with vegan wrappers and we modified the veggie ramen to remove the egg and double all the veggies + tofu. Juan Carlos and the team went above & beyond to ensure I had an excellent dining experience. I was a happy vegan at Dashi!!

My vegetarian family of 3 came to Dashi Ramen and we got their furi fries with delish wasabi dipping sauce, veggie ramen and mango ice cream with mochi. Everything was absolutely delicious. What made our experience better was the extremely kind and caring server, Monica. She made us feel welcomed and suggested a different sauce to the ramen that would be more complimentary than the original one we were looking for. Highly recommend you come here. One ramen bowl could be split between 2 kids.

    The Yakisoba is delicious.

I loved the yakisoba here. It was the best I've had in Puerto Rico. The gyoza was also very tasty. Service was excellent. Will definitely return.

While in the island for a business trip, found this ramen noodles place in Calle Loiza (Calma Street now Ismael Rivera). Coming from NYC I've known about ramen noodles for a while now. My first impression of the restaurant. It seemed they recently opened. It smelled like brand new. (It was). The staff was very attentive, cordial and knowledgeable. I was surprised seeing plenty of activity since it had been recently opened. This place have nothing to envy of other ramen places in NYC. The food was excellent. I had the Tonkotsu and my friend had the Yakisoba. We both left the restaurant very impressed. Prices were also very reasonable. Thumbs up for Dashi Ramen in Calle Loiza. We will be back.

Your call. Appetizing and proper looking. Tip, molten egg apperance

Ok. I'm gonna try to be objective and not so objective. If your Ramen game is on the level of big cities with healthy Asian area, LA, SF, NYC, Chicago, ect; you will be disappointed. Otherwise you my think it's OK. The key to Ramen's heart is the broth. You can tell if the broth had been developed over years and made over hours or even days per batch. This is lacking here. Now for the non objective part which takes my 3 to 2 starts is location. It's in a difficult area to get to. I drive from Old SJ. There is literally no parking opportunity when you get there. Except glfor a couple sketchy spots that you park half on sidewalk. This was a major noodle limper for me. Now for a non non objective part.. suddenly there was stirring at the door with the proprietor and cops. They are ticketing said sketchy spots earlier. One was mine. My gut was telling me there is some relationship between cops and proprietor. Again. Non non objective. I'm giving information, you choose what to do with it. This has been an honest gutsy review. The parking ticket is $200. Now I've been many places in the worls; I've never had a 3 digit parking ticket. When the cops left I asked the proprietor how much they think the ticket will be. They said about $200. Just presenting information here. Your call.

Perfect, cozy little ramen shop. The cocktails are amazing - ask for Juan Carlos! The ramen was so good. Highly recommend.

I came to Puerto Rico wanting to stick to authentic local food, but I was convinced to try this…read morespot and I have to admit, it was surprisingly good. Parking is a bit of a downside since there isn't much available, so I had to pay for parking. Once inside, though, everything moved incredibly fast. I got my food in less than 10 minutes, which is probably the fastest I've ever been served at a restaurant. It almost made me question how fresh it was, but after eating, I can say it was actually very good. I ordered the grilled white fish with lemon and egg fried rice with yum yum sauce on the side, plus shrimp tempura sushi to go. The yum yum sauce tasted like a mix of ketchup and mayonnaise, but when I mixed it with the fried rice, it was really, really good. The fish itself was tasty but needed more salt I ended up adding salt and squeezing lime over it to bring out the flavor. It seemed like it was only seasoned during marination and not finished properly. The salad wasn't anything special, but overall, for how quickly the food came out, the quality was impressive. Portions are generous, and the pricing matches what you get. We came around midnight and left close to 1 AM when they were closing. The place looked packed, but service was still quick and efficient. Our server was okay--nothing standout, but no issues either. Overall, I'd come back. Fast service, solid food, and a good late-night option.

Came with a group of nine from different culture backgrounds, and unfortunately the service was a mess from the start. Our server got visibly angry when my friend asked him to repeat an answer to a menu question. The servers response was hard to understand and when asked to repeat himself he actually yelled at my friend in front of the table, snatched the menu out of his hand, and threw it onto a chair behind him. Completely unprofessional and uncomfortable for everyone. We should've left after this, but didn't because we were hungry. Only half the table was asked for drink orders, and the rest of us were given water. I flagged our server down to order a martini that never came, yet they still tried to charge me for it at the end. We waited an hour for our food and it came out at very different times (also not hot), so we weren't able to eat together. The soups were inconsistent. The miso crab soup and the regular miso were prepared differently and both lacked ingredients. We thought it was odd that the miso crab soup had noodles while the regular miso didn't. Honestly felt like a way to make up for the lack of actual crab in it. The sushi itself was disappointing, overall just subpar. I ordered the bento box and wasn't expecting fried salmon (I've never seen it prepared that way), and my food came out last after everyone else had already finished eating. Everything was bland and lacked flavor. This place clearly can't handle parties larger than four otherwise you will be cramped in a corner, and you can only split checks into a maximum of three payments, which no one told us upfront. To top it off, the server still had the audacity to ask for a tip. I had no problem telling him no and stated that we were unsatisfied with both the service and the meal. Coming from someone who works in hospitality, if I had been dining alone and not with eight other people, I would have walked out. That's how bad the experience was. Overall, not a great time and wouldn't recommend this as a restaurant to eat at. Matter of fact, try out Zhencha Boba Cafe for a better Chinese cuisine. I had it on my last trip to PR and went with a group of 6. That place didn't disappoint at all and the service was amazing. Everyone I was with spoke fluent Spanish and I'm still learning, the server was very patient.

The base was delicious, I wish they had accomplished the spicyness through a vehicle/mechanism other than red pepper flakes. That said it delivered on flavor. It included thinlysliced fish cakes, corn, chopped green onions and an egg. The soup was temperature hot, the noodles were wonderfully chewy. The menu options were plentiful, including sushi. They were not overrun, five tables were occupied. The dishes that were passing by, look very appetizing. They seem to do a brisk takeout business, which. Give them a try, we certainly plan on patronizing them again.

There is a main central area with tables and then pockets of enclaves along both sides. We were seated in one of those enclaves that had four tables for four and unfortunately a large round table in the center. I don't think it was because I'm getting old. I know I get easily annoyed by bad acoustics but this was another level of noise. There was a group of women celebrating a bride for her bachelorette. She made sure we all knew how special she was by screaming and screeching to get her friends' attention the entire night. A couple who were seated after us immediately moved. Yes we had a chance to do the same but we decided to stick it through because we thought they were almost done. Well they stayed until we were at our dessert course. So why 5 stars?? Because the service (and attention and acknowledgement) and the food were outstanding. Easily the best choice to celebrate our friend's birthday. Everything was delicious but what the chef does with white beans was especially incredible! Ending with the passion fruit trilogy was perfection!

The food was some of the most delicious food ive ever tasted, especially the risotto (10/10). There was one dish that my girlfriend didnt like but they went immediately to get her something new. Im only giving a 4 star because the dessert i had did have something I was allergic to despite reassurance which cause swollen lips and throwing up outside. Im not sure if the dessert was pre-made but having the allergens directly on the menu may help. Otherwise I completely recommend trying here.

At the Noodle Merchant, I tried their chicken wings and dumplings. The wings were fried nicely but I didn't like the filling inside of the dumplings. It tasted too mushy for my liking. At Himalaya's, I had their seafood hot pot. All of the seafood was not fresh, but that may be because of the hurricane. I didn't like how the hot pot was just full of sauce. If it were some kind of broth (like it's supposed to be) I would have enjoyed it more. But the "hot pot" ($22) was more like a giant stir fry swimming in soy sauce mixture. I did like the presentation though and the rice was nice. I'm glad there's an Asian stall but seeing them boil ramen packages like I do at home and then charge $15 is not what I call good eats. Again, not sure what's normal and what's changed due to the hurricane. I would like to come back and give it another shot.
