Here's what we ordered and paid...

Food was good! They were very nice! Took my order perfectly correct! Would definitely go back!

Free Valet parking was so nice, staff instantly stood out as nice and friendly. All the food was amazing, I am from New Jersey and this is the best Chinese I ever had. My party had Beef Lo Mein, Chicken and Broccoli , and The Tostones! I'm sorry, but these are the best on the island so far. Just Wow. The inside is small and nice for close groups. I sat in the front, might be more space in the back. My wife came here 18 years ago as a kid and it's still amazing! Incredible

Service: Very welcoming when you walk into the door, food did not take long at all to come out. Expect roughly 10-15 minutes for your entire order to arrive. The waiters constantly check up on you so you're never left in the blue. Food: The Spicy Tuna with Avocado Rolls was my least favorite out of the meal, it was dry and a bit tasteless. The sunshine roll on the otherhand, really outshined itself. The broccoli Beef was strong in flavor and absolutely delicious, as well as the fried rice. My favorite dish was the chicken Lo Mein. So good we had to order another plate! For drinks we ordered the passion fruit mojito with the regular amount of alcohol, very refreshing and you can barely taste the alcohol, but thats exactly how we wanted it so it worked out perfectly. Atmosphere: You feel very much welcomed throughout your entire meal, the decorations are spot on, and overall you feel very home-y here. Price: Very affordable! Your average prices per plate expect to pay $7 to $16 per plate for shareable amounts of food. Verdict: I definitely would not skip out on this hole in the wall gem. It's a must try if you're in the area.

Took the family to Kintaro for dinner last night because my daughter really wanted sushi. Upon arrival, we were immediately seated and there weren't many people within. Our drink requests were taken and since this was a Japanese restaurant, I ordered Japanese beer - Sapporo. We requested edamame as an appetizer and it was served steaming hot. It was delicious. For dinner my son requested orange chicken, which was served with tasty fried rice. I requested a sunshine roll, my wife the Puerto Rican roll, and my daughter a spider roll and a California roll. A little while later, our food was served. Everything tasted fresh and excellent. We loved the sushi and I also tasted my son's meal and it was delicious. Excellent!

Food was delicious and service was great! Kinda pricey (most rolls are 8 pieces) but at least the sushi was good. Never had sushi pizza before but I definitely recommend it. Would come here again

This place was amazing not only the food but the customer service was excellent. Everything we ordered was amazingly delicious and fresh. The ambiance was a vibe. We are definitely coming back while here in Puerto Rico.

I wish I could give more stars! Quite possibly the best Chinese food we have ever had. I wasn't thrilled when my daughter chose Chinese for dinner, but the restaurant is very clean, the atmosphere is great and the staff is friendly and very attentive (probably the best we have experienced in PR). We started with crab rangoon (sorry, forgot to take a pic) and although there are only 4 small pieces, they were PACKED with crab rather than cheese as we find in the States. I ordered garlic chicken as they do not make kung pao (she didn't even know what it was) and could not have been more pleased. There were pieces of garlic in the sauce and the chicken was sooo juicy. My daughter had teriyaki chicken and wanted to order another plate. All in all, I could not recommend more highly!!

After discovering that my 24 hour hang-out spot in Isla Verde is no more (RIP El Taquito), I needed a new late night place to feed my face. Boyfriend and I stumbled on Kintaro. As soon as we walked up, there was someone waiting at the door to welcome us. I was astounded at how cheerful the staff was at 2:30 in the morning. I was even more impressed that this place did not look or feel like your average after-hours spot: crawling with loud, drunk people and other kind of foolishness. Instead, it was a calm and relatively quiet atmosphere, with a considerable number of other diners present given the late hour. Guess we weren't the only ones in need of a late night sushi fix. We ordered sushi pizza and shumai shrimp dumplings to start. The dumplings were great. The sushi pizza was... interesting. It was an appetizer-plate sized disk of fried tempura, topped with spicy tuna and drizzled with tempura sauce. Boyfriend liked it; me, not so much. We also had an Alaska roll (smoked salmon, cucumber, and avocado) and a San Juan roll (tempura shrimp and cream cheese topped with fried plantain). I'd never had fried plantain on a sushi roll before but DAMMIT IT WAS GOOD!! Be advised that if you ask for water, you will be served bottled water (because the tap water in Puerto Rico is NASTY!) at $2.50 a pop. No big deal, but nobody told us this when we asked our waitress for 2 glasses of water.

Parking is tough to find but they offer free valet parking. The staff was friendly and attentive even during the obviously stressful time they were having. For an appetizer we ordered the seafood spring rolls, which I would not call spring rolls since they were deep fried. It mostly just tasted like an egg roll covered in a sweet and creamy sauce. For our entrees we ordered the orange chicken, sesame chicken, and cashew chicken and all with fried rice. The fried rice was like any standard Asian buffet place. The cashew chicken was bland and uninspiring. But the orange and sesame chicken were the worst. First off, their sauces were nearly indistinct. The sesame sauce had a slightly more soy flavor and the orange sauce had a slightly more citrus flavor. I say slightly because this was barely noticeable. We could have swapped orders and not known the difference if it weren't for the fact that the sesame chicken was sprinkled with sesame seeds. Secondly, the chicken was awful. I'm not exaggerating. It was tough and chewy like it sat under a heat lamp all day. The sauce and chicken together reminded me of a really bad batch of chicken wings. Maybe we came on an off day or maybe the sushi menu is better. But I think this place is far over-rated and the high reviews are misguided. I would not recommend this place based on my experience. I gave one extra star for the front employees working hard and staying friendly.

Good sushi rolls for a place open late. They do close around midnight though it says 4am. Good portions, fresh fish, and fast service.

I came to Puerto Rico wanting to stick to authentic local food, but I was convinced to try this…read morespot and I have to admit, it was surprisingly good. Parking is a bit of a downside since there isn't much available, so I had to pay for parking. Once inside, though, everything moved incredibly fast. I got my food in less than 10 minutes, which is probably the fastest I've ever been served at a restaurant. It almost made me question how fresh it was, but after eating, I can say it was actually very good. I ordered the grilled white fish with lemon and egg fried rice with yum yum sauce on the side, plus shrimp tempura sushi to go. The yum yum sauce tasted like a mix of ketchup and mayonnaise, but when I mixed it with the fried rice, it was really, really good. The fish itself was tasty but needed more salt I ended up adding salt and squeezing lime over it to bring out the flavor. It seemed like it was only seasoned during marination and not finished properly. The salad wasn't anything special, but overall, for how quickly the food came out, the quality was impressive. Portions are generous, and the pricing matches what you get. We came around midnight and left close to 1 AM when they were closing. The place looked packed, but service was still quick and efficient. Our server was okay--nothing standout, but no issues either. Overall, I'd come back. Fast service, solid food, and a good late-night option.

If I could give zero stars, I would. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE. GET CHINESE FOOD FROM SOMEWHERE…read moreELSE. Came with a group of nine from different culture backgrounds, and unfortunately the service was a mess from the start. Our server got visibly angry when my friend asked him to repeat an answer to a menu question. The servers response was hard to understand and when asked to repeat himself he actually yelled at my friend in front of the table, snatched the menu out of his hand, and threw it onto a chair behind him. Completely unprofessional and uncomfortable for everyone. We should've left after this, but didn't because we were hungry. Only half the table was asked for drink orders, and the rest of us were given water. I flagged our server down to order a martini that never came, yet they still tried to charge me for it at the end. We waited an hour for our food and it came out at very different times (also not hot), so we weren't able to eat together. The soups were inconsistent. The miso crab soup and the regular miso were prepared differently and both lacked ingredients. We thought it was odd that the miso crab soup had noodles while the regular miso didn't. Honestly felt like a way to make up for the lack of actual crab in it. The sushi itself was disappointing, overall just subpar. I ordered the bento box and wasn't expecting fried salmon (I've never seen it prepared that way), and my food came out last after everyone else had already finished eating. Everything was bland and lacked flavor. This place clearly can't handle parties larger than four otherwise you will be cramped in a corner, and you can only split checks into a maximum of three payments, which no one told us upfront. To top it off, the server still had the audacity to ask for a tip. I had no problem telling him no and stated that we were unsatisfied with both the service and the meal. Coming from someone who works in hospitality, if I had been dining alone and not with eight other people, I would have walked out. That's how bad the experience was. Overall, not a great time and wouldn't recommend this as a restaurant to eat at. Matter of fact, try out Zhencha Boba Cafe for a better Chinese cuisine. I had it on my last trip to PR and went with a group of 6. That place didn't disappoint at all and the service was amazing. Everyone I was with spoke fluent Spanish and I'm still learning, the server was very patient.

Service experience was the WORST that I experienced all weekend - I hold management responsible for not pulling staff with bad attitudes from the section sooner. Melvin truly ruined the experience- a total buzz kill. Receiving service from someone who clearly did not want to be there was not only uncomfortable but took away from the charm of the ambiance (especially sad as this was our last stop in town). My friends & I were planning on being at the bar for 3+ drinks then hitting the casino, Melvin's ATTITUDE put a stop to that. I don't typically leave negative reviews but needed to flag Melvin's poor service and whatever management allowed this to happen. As someone with industry experience, I'm surprised Fairmont staffed someone in their center bar who was clearly not having a good day - no justification for his belittling & rudeness. I should not have to work so hard to give you $, and I certainly didn't appreciate the sleight of hand he tried to pull with credit cards. I'm choosing to believe this experience with Melvin and Management is a blessing. Saved me $$$$$$$ I'd rather be served by a robot than Melvin.
