We were tired of eating only Puerto Rican food while we visited there so, we were excited to try something new, so we went to an Asian restaurant. But it wasn't all it was cracked up to be. It took forever for someone to come to our table and take our drink orders. When they finally did, they were friendly and spoke both English and Spanish. But then, things went downhill. It seemed like our orders were being placed separately, so we got our food at different times. Some of us had already finished our main courses, while others were still waiting. By the time our second group got their food, we were done. This delay was a total pain in the neck. We tried to find our server to ask about it, but it was hard to get her attention. So, our service was terrible. Even though the food was okay, the whole experience was ruined. The ambiance was nice, and we appreciated the short notice they gave us for seating, since we were a party of seven. But that shouldn't have affected our service, and it did. So, I'm giving this restaurant three stars.

Would recommend this place for the experience however would forewarn the service is a little slow. They were able to seat us immediately which was great! The food came out quick but drinks took longer than the apps. The waiter was not knowledgeable about the menu which is much appreciated for a $$$ restaurant. The place is very well decorated and nice. We ordered seaweed salad, veggie rolls, miso soup, hot pot, pad Thai, pho, multiple sushi rolls, and beef & broccoli. Food was good so all in all I would recommend this place for the experience or take out.

We went here without a reservation and were seated immediately. We sat outside and everything we ordered was great! The server was awesome. The drinks were great and the food was even better. We decided to chill here before a movie and we are really glad we did. I would definitely come back and I would recommend anything off the menu. The only thing that I was not too happy about is that when ordering the hot pot you have to sit inside but other than that everything was great because we sat outside that's why I decided not to wear the hot pot.

    Hot Pot Experience

Service was blasé, one waitress for the entire restaurant we were celebrating she brought us our check. Never asked if we wanted other drinks or cake to sing for my daughter. Food was on point so delicious fun that it arrived by train kids loved it

There's a restaurant and then there's a little drink hut outside. We got the iced coffee and espresso. We were not acknowledged for ten minutes because the worker had Air Pods in and an "i don't care attitude". I originally wanted the milk tea with lychee but they ran out of lychee. Iced coffee was fine, did not get a lid with it which I found odd. Iced coffee was $7 as well, it was not a latte or anything. We went around 6pm and the restaurant had seats inside and outside. It looks like the outside seats are for dine in only. Since we purchased from the entity, we decided to sit there anyways because of the vacancy. The couple after us did the same. As I was sitting down, a host from inside just stared at me. Overall, super poor service.

    Yaki Udon (to go)

Don't sleep on their general tso chicken! And their Yaki Udon with chicken or beef. delicious. I also don't usually order spring rolls but their chicken spring rolls are a must.

It was a perfect meal for our group. We were looking for Asian food and this hit the spot. We sat at a regular table not at the booth which we were fine with as we came for the food. They had a nice variety of rolls to choose from. I was craving veggies and the Buddha delight fulfilled my needs. Pad Thai was very good. The tacos were creative with the taro taco shell and spicy tuna filling...I definitely enjoyed this combo. It was a nice place for our large group and I would come back

Went in for dinner on Sunday night. The restaurant appeared to be well-run and organized; the space ship delivery system was super fun and an added bonus to the dining experience. Food: * Thai chicken wings: Overcooked, but delicious sauce; wish the wings were tossed in the sauce rather than it being served on the side * Tuna tataki: Good, needed more spice in both the tuna and the soy; maybe a ponzu would have solved this * Mongolian beef and rice: beef was tender but lacked flavor * Soft shell crab roll: Needed more eel sauce or something to bring it together * After burner: favorite roll The because of the space ship food delivery system, the service wasn't easy to find. We didn't order drinks because we couldn't find a server to order order them - even just getting water was a challenge.

Without a doubt I must say delicious! Clean, great seating, pleasant staff, and lovely atmosphere. I was able to try the Boricua Roll, Mongolian Beef, Tuna Tartare, and general Tso chicken with jasmine rice. Loved it! The flavor, texture, and experience was fantastic. Great location!

I came to Puerto Rico wanting to stick to authentic local food, but I was convinced to try this…read morespot and I have to admit, it was surprisingly good. Parking is a bit of a downside since there isn't much available, so I had to pay for parking. Once inside, though, everything moved incredibly fast. I got my food in less than 10 minutes, which is probably the fastest I've ever been served at a restaurant. It almost made me question how fresh it was, but after eating, I can say it was actually very good. I ordered the grilled white fish with lemon and egg fried rice with yum yum sauce on the side, plus shrimp tempura sushi to go. The yum yum sauce tasted like a mix of ketchup and mayonnaise, but when I mixed it with the fried rice, it was really, really good. The fish itself was tasty but needed more salt I ended up adding salt and squeezing lime over it to bring out the flavor. It seemed like it was only seasoned during marination and not finished properly. The salad wasn't anything special, but overall, for how quickly the food came out, the quality was impressive. Portions are generous, and the pricing matches what you get. We came around midnight and left close to 1 AM when they were closing. The place looked packed, but service was still quick and efficient. Our server was okay--nothing standout, but no issues either. Overall, I'd come back. Fast service, solid food, and a good late-night option.

Came with a group of nine from different culture backgrounds, and unfortunately the service was a mess from the start. Our server got visibly angry when my friend asked him to repeat an answer to a menu question. The servers response was hard to understand and when asked to repeat himself he actually yelled at my friend in front of the table, snatched the menu out of his hand, and threw it onto a chair behind him. Completely unprofessional and uncomfortable for everyone. We should've left after this, but didn't because we were hungry. Only half the table was asked for drink orders, and the rest of us were given water. I flagged our server down to order a martini that never came, yet they still tried to charge me for it at the end. We waited an hour for our food and it came out at very different times (also not hot), so we weren't able to eat together. The soups were inconsistent. The miso crab soup and the regular miso were prepared differently and both lacked ingredients. We thought it was odd that the miso crab soup had noodles while the regular miso didn't. Honestly felt like a way to make up for the lack of actual crab in it. The sushi itself was disappointing, overall just subpar. I ordered the bento box and wasn't expecting fried salmon (I've never seen it prepared that way), and my food came out last after everyone else had already finished eating. Everything was bland and lacked flavor. This place clearly can't handle parties larger than four otherwise you will be cramped in a corner, and you can only split checks into a maximum of three payments, which no one told us upfront. To top it off, the server still had the audacity to ask for a tip. I had no problem telling him no and stated that we were unsatisfied with both the service and the meal. Coming from someone who works in hospitality, if I had been dining alone and not with eight other people, I would have walked out. That's how bad the experience was. Overall, not a great time and wouldn't recommend this as a restaurant to eat at. Matter of fact, try out Zhencha Boba Cafe for a better Chinese cuisine. I had it on my last trip to PR and went with a group of 6. That place didn't disappoint at all and the service was amazing. Everyone I was with spoke fluent Spanish and I'm still learning, the server was very patient.

Citing how she was born into communism, then lived in socialist countries and now has made a home in a capitalist society, she spoke with authority about what is happening in the world right now. She eloquently reminisced about her experience in a communist country, where the enemies were the capitalists who, "kept us from achieving our full potential," in the former republic of Czechoslovakia. The overarching message is that there is more power in unity than being in a fragmented society where its people scramble for truth, justice and freedom. A concept like Godai can only exist in a free society. Everywhere I went on this recent trip to Puerto Rico, I heard people talk about this restaurant: on business meetings, at drinks at a hotel bar and from local friends. Apparently, it's a bit of a social media darling among locals. And, there's good reason. What started as a speakeasy omakase establishment by chef couple Cesar and Daysi is now a full-service restaurant with 3 different spaces: izakaya, omakase tasting room and zen garden. Only in an environment where people have the liberty to pursue their passions, learn techniques from different cultures and there's a free exchange of ideas, can a restaurant in one island nation be inspired by the culinary traditions of another island nation. My dining companions and I were so inspired by the well orchestrated and attentive service, I asked Chef Cesar whether he had made everyone read Will Guidara's "Unreasonable Hospitality." He demurred with humility and said, "we're still trying, and thank you." The food was phenomenal. I'm pretty sure it's the first time I've had black truffle shaved over my tuna crispy rice, and it was tasty. We also had the bluefin and salmon crudo, duck fried rice, spicy edamame, shishito peppers, robata miso black cod, Alsatian white wine, unfiltered sake and panna cotta with raspberry. I noted how authentic everything looked and tasted, but there was a local twist and cariño expressed in every dish. This was not fusion, but Japanese food seen through a local lens. It's not so much that they're trying to recreate an experience in Japan, but paying homage with respect to Japanese gastronomy. You might think that Japan and Puerto Rican cultures are polar opposites, but food brings people of all types together. Godai is a great testament of this, and Paulina would certainly enjoy this spot for so many reasons.
