This is some of the worst Chinese food I've had and that's an understatement. It tastes nothing like the meats it says it is and they got our order wrong. Forgive me but I've had chow mein many times so why was it that our chow mein was drenched in some nasty sauce with cabbage? I've never had that before and we didn't even eat it. Actually, we basically tossed the whole order away and vowed to never go there again. I can see why it's hyped because of the way it looks outside and in but looks were definitely deceiving and on that note, Panda Express sounds way more appetizing than this place! PS. Don't get mad for not getting tipped for takeout. You did your job and we still supported by buying your food. read more

Really, really bad. I got food poisoning there after eating the egg fu Yung. The egg foo yung clearly came premade and I'm sure that one of the hockey puck looking pieces was old and probably over its due date. When I ate it I could tell immediately that it was bad and I spit it out but it did not prevent me from getting very very sick. All of the rest of the food was pretty bland. It was really the worst egg foo young I've ever had. The noodles were pretty lame and I did not eat the ham fried rice. My husband liked his broccoli and beef. I would Not recommend that anybody go here to eat, however. read more

Tonight we had some amazing Chinese food. We went to Zhang's with a a group of 8 and everyone ordered something that they enjoyed. First of all get the salad, the dressing is to die for. We ordered the crispy sweet hot beef and the sesame chicken. Both were very flavorful. The portions are enormous! We ordered two dinner combinations and shared between two adults and 2 kids and still took home the equivalent of one meal. Our 5 yr old is raving about the ham fried rice. A couple we went with ordered the dessert wontons and they are absolutely delicious. read more

We did take out due to Covid. We order Mu-Shu and Egg foo young. The egg foo young was the worst I have ever had. It was dry and old and you could tell that it was just microwaved. It was awful. Then the mu-shu was barely edible. We did the mix of meats, not a good idea at all. The pork was old and chewy and tasted horrible. The hoisin sauce was not fresh either. The fried rice was oily and just tasted like oil. This is possible the worst Chinese food I have ever had. If you pay the money to eat out or take out, you don't want microwaved food. ordered $100.00 worth of food for family. Food was missing and wrong items were sent. they sent the sauce for eggfuyoung and no egg Patty. They sent the wrong chicken and sent one that contained nuts that we couldn't eat. Called the restaurant and they said it's not their problem because I paid through door dash and picked up the order. They didn't offer to replace the chicken or missing egg Patty. They are rude. The only good thing in the whole order was the sweet and sour shrimp and egg rolls. This is from what used to be a loyal customer that always ordered big for family. I will never order from them again. I would have given no stars if I could. read more

I really like the food here. We are regular customers and the food is always great. They seem to use premium ingredients in their food compared to other Chinese restaurants. The best is the Chopstix fried rice! White fried rice, scallions, jalapeno, cilantro, pineapple, chicken, and shrimp. I hate to be a party pooper since I've enjoyed meals here before. I don't know if the place has changed owners or what, but the food quality has gone waaaaay down. I had a craving for their house lo mein which is basically noodles, shrimp, beef, chicken and pork. I opened the box when I got home and this smell permeated the room. Stinky, rotten food smell. I decided to be brave and bit into a shrimp. GAG! ROTTEN SHRIMP! I gave it another chance by trying a different shrimp thinking maybe there was only one bad one. Nope! All of them rotten. Chicken...same thing. I don't know how you get two rotten meats. Maybe their fridge is broken? I don't know but that's just not safe. And there is no way the cook wouldn't know that the stuff was bad. It had to have stunk just as bad before it was cooked as it did after it was cooked. Very disappointed in Chopstix. I ordered take out for small family celebration of 6 adults. $88 seemed very high priced, but I didn't want to cook so I could spend more time visiting with my loved ones. The food was OK, but the Moo Goo Gai Pan was chicken with mushrooms and zucchini, and I didn't get the quart of egg drop soup that I ordered. Unfortunately, this is one of the only Chinese food restaurants open on Sunday. Golden Jade is much better. read more

After a long day out riding we were starving. We tried some of our other haunts but being that it was Sunday everything we tried was closed. Then we remembered this place had opened in the old training table building. We road over and it appear that we may have struck out again, the open sign was off and the parking lot was empty but there were some lights on inside. Went up to the door and walked in, thank goodness they were open. Being our first time here we wanted to order a variety of food. I ordered the Mongolian Beef and Sweet and Sour Chicken dinner combo, the wife got the Sesame Chicken combo. Combos come with rice (white or fried) soup or salad, fried shrimp and crab wontons. The wife got the egg drop and I got the hot and sour soups. The soups came and they were extremely tasty. The egg drop was thick and creamy, well seasoned and had a hint of sweetness from the corn. The hot sour was nice and thick, not too much so, and had a nice vinegar bite and a bit of spice. I would say both of these soups are some of the better I have tasted and a Chinese restaurant. The Mongolian beef was very tasty and had a hint of heat (the wife said it was too hot to eat). The beef was plentiful and extremely tender. I never eat the veggies not sure how the tasted but they looked fresh. The sweet and sour chicken was made with big chunks of white meat and came with the standard bright orange/red sauce. The sesame chicken was breaded but had larger strips of white meat chicken vs the chunks used on the sweet and sour. The Sesame Chicken was tasty like the other food. We had a very good meal at Zhang's, that joined by the very nice decor and good service put Zhang's on our list of places to eat at in the future. read more

I thought the food was terrible, maybe it's because I'm really picky about my Chinese food, but when you order hot and sour soup and it comes out lukewarm, the consistency of jello, and tastes sweet, it tends to put me off a bit. Tried the beef lo mien with friend rice and a crunchy shrimp and wonton. Wonton was ok, but beef tasted just like ground pepper. That's it. No flavor at all, and it was about as warm as the soup. The first and only restaurant in have ever been to where I have asked for a refund. My waitress could really care less about our service (alas, she did not get a tip) but at least the manager was nice about getting us a refund. I might try and give it a second chance buuuut...with Eastern Winds still in business, that's very unlikely I will ever visit again. read more

This place is bad. I know it's in Odgen and there's like one Chinese family (who owns Chopstix) but still. This place was designed for White people who have no idea what Chinese food is. The decor is way overdone, they spent an ungodly amount of money on decorations both inside and outside. Their sign when I walked in was their fried rice which had jalapenos and pineapple. When are those two things ever in fried rice? I took a chance and ordered the kung pao chicken. Worst decision ever. I usually don't usually like sweet fake chinese food but another person in my party ordered orange chicken and it was ten times better than that awful excuse for kung pao. Oh and the Chinese lady whom I presume was the owner was very rude at the front desk. We did a large takeout order and she was just very rude. Granted I should expect it from a Chinese restaurant but still. Salt on the wound. If you have any self respect for Chinese food, go to Salt Lake or don't get Chinese food at all. read more

Just moved to the area. My family likes lo mein, but it tastes like soapy noodles. Seriously like the noodles were cooked in soapy water. We also ordered the sweet and sour pork and the meat was pure fat and way to chewy to be edible. I usually love this place. I did a to-go order and chose what soups came with the meals and when I got there to pick it up they told me that the meals don't come with soup if it's to-go and not dine-in! Why did you ask me when I made the order then? And lastly the little boy, that's always on his phone, that we pick up our to-go orders from is so apathetic towards his customers. He acts like we are bugging him or wasting his time. I'd like to say again I usually love this place and it is a bit expensive so to be treated this way when you are paying pretty good money is a bit disappointing. My Mom, my wife and I all went to Chopstix a few nights ago and we had an exceptional experience. Our server, Ashley, a pretty blonde with a quote from John Lennon's "Imagine" tattooed on the inside of her right bicep, was one of the best waitresses I've ever had. She had new drinks on our table before the old ones were empty, the delivery of our food was lightning fast and the food was piping hot. My Mom is unable to eat gluten and they have an entire menu for those who are gluten intolerant! Ashely was kind enough to bring my mom a SECOND bowl of their delicious egg drop soup because her options were a bit more limited than ours due to her gluten intolerance. The bathroom was immaculate, the music playing (not too loud) over the speaker system seemed to be a lot of Beatles and other oldies (which I love). The servings were MASSIVE (we had leftovers for days) and the meal for all three of us, including drinks was $56. This included appetizers, ham fried rice and THREE separate plates of food. (This figure does not include our tip.) The ONLY thing I could suggest to make this dining experience better is if they had knives on the tables. (Forks and spoons but no knives. Sure, it's all more or less bite size but you know how some old ladies like to "just try a tiny piece" of something and they want to cut a small piece into even smaller pieces.) I took my brother here for his birthday because it had a gluten free menu. I haven't had Chinese food in years, because of being GF and veg, and there are not many places where I can eat it. So, I was really looking forward to it. I was pretty disappointed with my meal though. It lacked flavor, completely. The pros: The restaurant is really nice. It's clean, and our large table in an enclosed area was great. There is plenty of parking. And having a gluten free menu with some additional vegetarian items is for sure a bonus. The cons: Like I said above, the food completely lacked flavor. I was totally unimpressed, and couldn't get myself to finish my meal because I just really did not enjoy it. I'm not sure if it's worth another visit. I will probably seek out a different place next time I eat in Ogden. read more

I have grown up eating at chopsticks and have personally witnessed it's steady decline. When my family first frequented chopsticks the service was good and the food was decent. In more recent years the servers have become less gracious and condescending. As for the food, the overall quality has declined. Zhang's is new, so I think they are probably still getting into the groove of restauranting. That said, the service was kind of lacking. We waited for 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged that we were waiting for a seat. The waiter was a little slow, and I was kind of surprised when he brought out an adult size drink for a two year old. I thought that ordering off the kid's menu meant my boy would get a kid's drink. But we all survived, I just dumped the drink into his sippy cup rather than risk the milk going all over the restaurant! As for the food, it was pretty good! The fried rice had kind of a weird smokey flavor, so I don't know if they burned it or if that's just how it's made. The kid's chicken nuggets were DELICIOUS, made in some kind of tempura-like batter and moist and just plain yummy. The egg drop soup was nice and thick and savoury, just like it should be. My grandma had the Szechuan chicken and it was amazing. Very spicy and just so flavorful and delicious. Oh man, it was good. I had the lo mein, which was yummy but not as good as the chicken. Their crab wontons were perfect. Ever since Kim Wah's went out of business my grandma and I have been depressed when we crave Chinese food, because there's just nothing in Ogden. But Zhang's Chopstix might just be what we've been looking for to fill the void in our lives. We'll definitely go back again and sample more of their menu, and I'm looking forward to it! read more

Nice decor. Pao Pao platter was 2 butterfly shrimp, 2 egg rolls, crab wontons (mostly) and thin sliced pork that was like rubber. $11.99. Sweet & Sour Pork $16.99 was breaded & taste like it was frozen very very chewy. The sweet & sour sauce was very sweet. Bell peppers were crisp!!! And chunks of pineapple were perfect. Sizzling Seafood platter $17.99 scallops were rubbery but veggies were perfect & so was rest of seafood. Cashew chicken $14.99 too much zucchini for me but the rest was perfect. Fried potstickers were good. Hot tea $2.49 and it's real tea and tasty jasmine. Ordered Lo Mein but charged for Orange Chicken!!!!! Egg drop soup was CORN - awful! White rice was hard. Stir fry rice was basically white rice with sauce ! Several times 2 guests were out of water & that was their only drink. Had to ask 3 times for soda refill. Was never asked if we wanted more tea. $99.70 before tax and due to 3 of 5 meals not being good - we won't be back. The interior may be pretty but all the food doesn't match the $. Can get same at buffets for less. It's a huge MISS. read more

In one word: soggy. They messed up our order. We ordered among other things, chicken chow mein and on the phone the girl even questioned me to make sure I wanted chow mein and not lo mein explaining the difference between the noodles. I told her I knew the difference and I wanted chow mein. Fast forward to opening the food at home and seeing something resembling neither chow mein nor lo mein. What we got was a watery mess of chicken, cabbage and other vegetables. I called to complain and the girl said we did get chow mein and that is why she explained the difference to me when I ordered. I had to reiterate that I was aware of the difference and unless she considered bean sprouts a noodle, there weren't even noodles, hard or soft in whatever it was they gave us. She continued to insist they did nothing wrong so I gave up. We also ordered sweet and sour chicken which is as Amierican Chinese as it gets so you'd think it would be perfected but it was soggy and of poor quality. It's fine to charge a premium on your food but only if it's warranted. I'm afraid Zhang's Chopstix is no better than the Chinese food at Chuck-A-Rama. Related: months ago my wife had a terrible experience with the customer service while dining in at this restaurant that ended with them walking out 15 minutes after being seated. read more

These guys have a great Gluten Free menu and it's good! Our whole family eats from the Gluten Free menu so we can eat family style and share the dishes we order. The chow fun rice noodles are a family favorite. The soy sauce on the table is not gluten free, but if you ask for some they will bring it to you. It's a great family dining experience and they have a large variety of choices on the gluten free menu which is hard to find! Don't worry the glutenous food is delicious too! read more

This is a comfortable place to eat, and due to convenience I go here two or three times a month. The menu is, like most Chinese restaurants, rather extensive, but I usually stick to the lunch menu. Service is fast and friendly -- but this is not fast food, but is reasonably speedy for lunch. Silverware and plates are real, as are the beautiful fish in the aquarium. The food is average. The hot and sour soup is gelatinous and overly sweet. The crab won tons are delicious. And the food is plentiful and at a good price. read more

Wow this place was great! This was my first visit. The owner was very nice and greeted us promptly when we came in. The restaurant was clean and the environment was inviting. Our waitress, Song, was prompt and helpful. We ordered an appetizer of steamed pot stickers, which were delicious. We each ordered a lunch special, I got the Moo Goo Gai Pan. It was so good! All our food came out piping hot and just how we had ordered. I am currently enjoying part of the leftovers, I have a LOT of delicious leftovers.
