Was not trying to get another doctor and there's so many months where they can accept new patients I would've been gone years ago. They never answered the phone at the front desk if you call or even you leave a message to the nurses voicemail sometimes I guess if they can, they'll call you back I'm right now have called them for the sixth time And not one time have they called me back so no I do not recommend them to anybody read more

Attentive to your needs have been going to him many years. Has kept my b/p normal. Another poster mentions some of the travails I have also experienced, but I think he will help you through immediate things. Choosing a specialist if he can't help is on an ancient format piece of paper and he will circle and signs the one you meet need. That is referral. I've been going here for the last 7 years. I also got my wife to go here as well. Good service. Good doctors on staff. Can't really complain. I really appreciate the smaller clinics like these than going to a larger Kaiser building. You're in and out and you get what you need. Most of the patients are older people, mostly are Senior Citizens. I rarely see anyone younger than 30s coming in. I guess it doesn't matter. read more

I was surprised by some negative reviews of Dr. Zhang. He was recommended to me by a friend. I had my first visit with Dr. Zhang this morning and I was very happy with the time he spent with me as well as the detail he went in to help me diagonise my condition. I would very much recommend Dr. Zhang. It was so convient to have a lab right in his office as well. I would have no hesitations recommending Dr. Zhang I believe hes shows to be an excellent Doctor. read more

I began seeing Dr. Zhang, in 1998. He has been my Dr. through this whole time of my life. It is now 2018 and I am now moving to the PI for rest of my life. Dr. Zhang has been a fantastic Dr. When I needed real talk he didn't sugar coat shit. He spoke plainly and told me what had to happen. When I needed serious work done, he backed my efforts to get to the right people with excellent recommendations. After 20yrs. I will miss this level of excellence in my life when it comes to my health care and I can only hope to find someone as good in the PI. If you are looking for a Dr. look no further. Go see him. I'm surprised this doctor/clinic has any patients, if my experience is typical (and reading other reviews, it is). I recently moved to the area and needed to find a new primary care doctor. I called this office (which is convenient to my location), and made an initial appointment. I went in, filled out the paperwork, went into one of the exam rooms and had my blood pressure taken by a very brusque nurse/assistant. After waiting a while, the doctor came in and couldn't seem to figure out why I was there if I didn't have any health complaints, even after telling him I just moved and needed to find a new doctor. I recited my medical history and family history....and the doctor still couldn't seem to put two and two together. Nor was he interested in getting a copy of my medical records from my doctor of 16 years. The entire time he was in the room with me, other than when he was entering the door, he stood with his back to me, so that I was talking to the back of his head. After stumbling through that, I was sent through a short maze to find their "lab" area to have some blood drawn for routine tests. This added another half-hour wait. Apparently, the people who check your blood pressure and temperature aren't allowed to draw blood, you have to go elsewhere in the building and wait. I have never been to a doctor's office where the nurses aren't allowed to draw blood for routine testing before, but maybe it's just a layer that was added to try to get people in and out quicker. At least the lady drawing the blood was pleasant. I asked how long for results and was told it would only take a couple of days, so by the end of the week...and if I didn't get a call that there would be no issues. A week and a half later, I get a call from a woman from this office insisting I come in immediately to talk about my "xxx disease". [I do not have, nor have I ever had "xxx disease," nor do I exhibit any of the physical symptoms associated with "xxx disease."] I asked her what she was talking about and she referenced blood tests. This was odd, since the only tests that were to be done were cholesterol/triglyceride tests and a complete blood count, but I let that slide. I asked if I could see a copy of the tests before I made an appointment, and she insisted I make an appointment, first. I refused, saying that I'm not going to go into the office without knowing what I'm supposed to be talking about. She got VERY snippy and said she'd mail the tests and would have the doctor call me when he got back from vacation. Exactly how I was supposed to come in and see him and talk about test results if he was on vacation remains a mystery. A few days later, a copy of the results were mailed, and included tests that I did not authorize or ask for. (This reeks of possible insurance fraud issues for unauthorized tests, but that's an issue beyond what I'm writing about.) And, oddly, nothing in the test results raised my eyebrows or were not explained by the medical history that I previously given the doctor. Apparently he either didn't listen or didn't put down in notes what I was telling him. Another few weeks passed, and I got another call from a different woman at this office. She, at least, was not rude, though she, also, refused to listen. She said they needed me to go somewhere or other for testing for "yyy disease" -- a very different diagnosis (with different symptoms) from what the first person had called me about -- and I said "no." (Again, I do not now have, nor have I ever had "yyy disease," nor do I have any of the physical symptoms associated with "yyy disease.") She paused and then continued in her spiel, until I said that I didn't think she heard me, but I had said 'no.' She, seemed confused, but at least did not resort to being rude (like the previous woman who called me from this office). I re-explained, saying that nothing in the tests was not explained by the information I had already given. If the doctor wanted to tell me his concerns, I was available to take his call or letter or come in to see him sometime, but the results were easily explained by my medical history. She became somewhat incredulous, Apparently, this doctor delegates diagnosis of diseases to other members on his staff (presumably not doctors, since neither of them identified themselves as such). The office staff are heavy-handed and even a bit bullying in their dealings with patients. The doctor does not appear to listen to you while you're in an exam room with him and doesn't seem interested in interacting with his patients in any meaningful way. I would strongly recommend to anyone I meet to NOT go to this office or use this man as their doctor, based on my experience. Heaven knows I'm not going to be going in to see him again. I'll find someone else to be my doctor. read more

My mom went to see Dr. Zhang after her awful experience with Dr. Christi Cheng nearby (don't go see her) and was pleasantly surprised at how knowledgeable Dr. Zhang is. He was thorough and seems to have extensive knowledge on the concerns she had. It's nice to be able to find a doctor who is friendly, on time and able to address our concerns. I have been a patient of Dr. Zhangs for three years now and have to give him 5 stars. Dr. Zhang is the first doctor who actually takes all the time needed to listen to me and my health concerns and always finds the right words and remedies to comfort me. From the time I started seeing Dr. Zhang he has been nothing but punctual, pleasant, knowledgeable, compassionate and above all professional. Updating my review. Dr. Zhang was the first doctor I saw when my health started changing several years ago. He ordered some tests which initially came back normal and wasn't interested in helping me further. This has been a long journey and I've had to see dozens of doctors, many of whom are not qualified to treat my chronic illnesses, Dr. Zhang was no exception. I sure wish these doctors could learn how to refer their patients to the proper to specialists, instead of sending them home sick and with no help. So much laziness in the medical field. Also, there's no need to make patients wait weeks for tests results when they usually come in from the lab within a couple days. When I had inquired about my tests, the receptionists here were annoyed and rude. When I finally had to drive to the clinic and get the results myself, a staff member flat out ignored me as I was standing right in front of her. She sat behind the desk slowly grabbing a paper clip, not looking up, not acknowledging me. At some point it became a little ridiculous and I laughed, the woman behind me was watching the entire interaction and said "are you wondering if you are invisible." That receptionist never acknowledged me even though I was standing directly in front of her and even though the other patient had made that remark. Dr. Zhang and his entire staff could learn a few things about how to treat patients and how to deal with test results. It's a shame that sometimes a patient's only recourse is a yelp review, but if that's all I have I am going to share the experiences I've had with the many doctors who failed me along the way, because my situation is not unique. It's time people with chronic illnesses are treated better by the doctors who are supposed to help them. It's time for the doctors to start listening to these patients, to keep up with new and updated medical research, to advocate for them, to do their job! Dr. Zhang and staff, do better! read more

This would be my first review on yelp, which means I must be really UNSATISFIED with this place! For the past half a year, I've been having issues in regards to billing. I could never reach their bookkeeper via phone. She never answered my calls, didn't return my messages (more than one message). The receptionist desk didn't always answer calls either, just sometimes. Receptionist, too, never returned any of my calls. I had to go the office to talk to someone because no one answered/responded to my calls! It took me multiple trips to get my billing resolved. Ugh, quite annoying considering that I had a full time job and had to squeeze in time to go to the office. Now, another billing problem arisen and I'm going through some more unresponsiveness from the bookkeeper and receptionist desk again. The doctor - let's talk about the doctor now. I've seen him twice so far. The first time was no more than 5 minutes of speaking to him. I came in with an infection. After asking me a few questions, he said "95% of the people with these symptoms had the ____. So let me treat you" and prescribed me some medicine. Prior to seeing him, I talked to an advised nurse through a hotline. She advised me to go to the doctor to get TESTED instead of treating the infection myself since it was my first time having that sort of infection. My doctor did not give me any tests, which worried somewhat a lot - what if I had something else! Okay, moving on. The second time I saw him, we spoke for more than 5 minutes - it was probably 8 minutes. I went in to make sure I wasn't dying because I felt sick for a week. He reassured me I wasn't dying so I was happy with that, he actually talked to me more this time. I declined the prescribed medicine and waited for myself to get better naturally - that worked. I was hesitant on giving a 2-star instead of 1 because this visit was a bit better, but the overall staff performance really makes me want to give it a 1-star! Can't wait to get my billing stuff resolved once again... and get a new doctor with more responsive staff! read more

Worst doctors office. You can never talk to the real person when you call for anything. You have to leave your message, and they will get back to you if they feel like it. DO NOT make your appointment with PA (physician assistant). I had a bad experience with one of them. They are simply not qualified. I am still suffering from that. read more
