Like many other reviewers here, we had no idea where to start and so we used Yelp to help us choose a civil surgeon for the I-693 form in Oct 2025. David answered the phone quickly, and it was clear that he was a very compassionate person and I felt very strongly that we would be in good hands at this clinic. Both David and Dr. Perez worked to get us the required vaccinations for the lowest possible cost, even though that meant that they didn't make any money by giving her the vaccines themselves. They clearly want to help people through the residency application process and their kindness and compassion is both remarkable and very much appreciated! Thanks to their assistance in getting all of the medical records filled out, my wife was granted residency in April 2026 and we couldn't be happier :) In summary, I'm very happy with the services provided by these two wonderful people, and I give my highest recommendation to Avanzado Medical Group for anyone looking for a civil surgeon or is in need of other medical care. read more

The I693 I previously completed had expired so I needed to have it redone. I sent a text to the number that was previously used and in the morning got a call back from David. His voice/tone: direct. The call was super quick but truly informative that highlights David's systematic approach. I asked for the soonest available appointment and confirmed. I then received a text from him with the address and documents I need to bring. On the day of the appointment, we thought I'll be late so I called the office but ended up being early even. Considering that I said I'll be late, I assume David wanted to be productive during the time that I said I won't be there yet, so he started another task. Truly understandable. He still accommodated me and dropped that task he was doing. I really commend this Medical Office as they are pragmatic and warm. And also, they offer the best rates compared to all the offices I called when I had the first medical. I am so thankful I found the Avanzado Medical Group! 5 stars! Dr. Perez was professional, kind, and took the time to answer all my questions. A huge shoutout to David who was incredibly helpful and kept everything on track with unbelievable efficiency. He was very responsive to my texts and calls. He had clearly explained which vaccines and tests I actually needed. The process was extremely well-organized and timely. I was in and out of the facility with the sealed envelope in less than an hour. The cost is very reasonable (fair and transparent--no hidden fees) compared to other civil surgeons in the area. David is the most rude person I've ever spoken to and I canceled an upcoming appointment based solely on his disrespectful tone. I reached out in November for information on a USCIS Exam and only recently was able to call back to schedule an appointment. He texted me information so I responded back to the thread and was advised to call the clinic instead, which was not a problem. Upon answering, I asked "How are you" to which he responded "Busy" very abruptly. I continued to make an appointment and asked for a confirmation email which he said would be sent once we got off the phone. I received a text confirmation instead so I responded asking about the Alameda location and was told the office is only in San Lendro then sent a screenshot of the contact information provided by my lawyers. He called me back and in a very disgruntled/annoyed/angry tone and yelled at me "Listen I don't have time to text all day. The Alameda office is closed so do you want an appointment or not". I initially agreed to keep the appointment since I was completely taken aback by how unprofessional that interaction was then called back 10 minutes later to cancel. David has absolutely 0 manners and I can't imagine going to a doctor's appointment and having him as my first interaction. I understand that work is stressful and busy but don't tell me it's okay to text then yell at me for responding. It's also incredibly unprofessional to misplace anger and frustration to a client and I will never recommend this place to anyone for anything. I came here to get my immigration physical exam done as well as a flu shot as it was probably one of the BEST experiences I'd ever had. As I was going down the list of USCIS approved civil surgeons, I took the time to check Yelp reviews before making an appointment with any of them. I immediately was drawn to the excellent reviews that Avanzado group had so I called to make an appointment and David was beyond helpful and kind. He was very knowledgeable and provided me a list of the things I needed to collect prior to my appointment. On the day of the appointment, my family and I felt welcomed, respected, comfortable and cared for. It wasn't one of those places where they are rude and just make it a transaction type of thing. David and Dr. Perez took the time to double check everything was in order during our appointment and at no point we felt rushed. We even learned a little bit about each others lives as we all shared about our backgrounds. There just aren't enough words to describe the experience we had with the Avanzado Group and I would definitely recommend them to anyone. Some of my family members already went and expressed how exceptional they are and how satisfied they felt with their services. If you require actual urgent care, do not come here. Looks very dirty on the outside. I wouldn't know what the inside looks like since they were supposed to open at 10, but the doors were locked and it was 10:30. I called their number only to get yelled at by some man stating that he's late and that I should have called along with some other incoherent speech. Was left without any care or any alternatives. Very unprofessional. Better off going to Sutter instead. read more

Dr. Peter Perez and his brother operate a practice on the foundation of integrity and honesty, and this is the only place that will provide you with the holistic approach you deserve. Unlike most doctors (whom are too busy mixing-and-matching your symptoms with their menu of kickbacks), Dr. Perez will actually take the time to closely examine your concerns and overall health. I've been through many white-walled rooms and can proudly say that this is the first place where I didn't have to beg the doctor to lend more than a glance from half an eyeball. I called asking for help, and Dr. Perez was very flexible to getting me in. He also took the time to help me explore my options to find the most economical (but viable) solution. The whole process took 30-45 mins... Easy peasy lemon squeezie! The only area left with room for improvement is setting up appointments. It's a small (and relatively young) practice, so it may take a little effort to get through while they work out the kinks. Other than that, Peter Perez will give you what you need. Dr. Peter Perez and his brother David are two of the nicest people I have ever met. They make you feel welcome and comfortable. They communicate with you professionally but in a friendly way. They were so kind to help me out all the time, even if it means they needed to open their supposed to be closed clinic. And I truly truly appreciated that. You will feel the sincerity they have for you and your health so you know you are well taken cared of. If you have questions, they will answer it for you with no problems. They are very knowledgeable. And it's also nice that they speak Spanish for our Latin Americans that come and visit them. For sure, they appreciate that a lot. Dr. Peter Perez is not only an exceptional, knowledgeable doctor, but also makes you feel comfortable and is such a kind man, and the same goes for his brother. They are honest people, examine the situation, evaluate your overall health, and provide help that is not based on drugs and antibiotics like so many other doctors do. I came in for a toe I thought I had broken, and Dr. Perez was very gentle and tried to find the best, economical solution for me. He realized it was sprained, didn't prescribe me any antibiotics which was a first for me coming from a doctor, and created a support using surgical tape, and called several locations for crutches I could rent. I really appreciated that he went out of his way and contacted these stores for me.
