My experience all began with Dr. Titov; Ahh, that handsome man just makes me smile every time I think of him. :heart_eyes: Okay, I'll stop lusting over Dr. Titov! I have slowly transitioned in seeing Dr. Proddatoori for almost 6 months now, and every time I see her she is always so pleasant and caring. A very soft-spoken doctor that takes time to listen to all of your concerns and tries to address them. What REALLY made us connect more is my health scare this February after a wonderful 5-day vacation. I had a terrible allergic reaction that took weeks and weeks to cure as the doctors tried to find out what was going on. Dr. Proddatoori was with me every step of the way. I remember walking into the doctor's office without an appointment and she was shocked that the front desk allowed me to wait so long to be seen. She informed me next time I make a request to be seen sooner. Times where I needed to make an appointment emergency to see her; she would always fit me into her busy schedule. Dr. Proddatoori has NEVER treated me like a number. She answers all my questions, explains my blood results with me, and when she doesn't know what's going on with me, she simply is honest and says, "Go to the ER". Epic Care is very limited on what they can in their office, but she understands that paying for an ER is not the first choice for me as dishing out $100 is no fun, but health comes first. I remember I always said to myself I would never want a woman doctor because they make assumptions on how you feel based on their own experience. I was sad when I transitioned from Dr. Titov, but Dr. Proddatoori has proven herself to me. She cares and it shows. I am so happy that I met someone that I can be honest with about everything! It started when several prescriptions that were important, were NOT filled, and the front desk refused to take accountability, forcing me to book a new appointment and miss some extremely important medications. When I came in, Dr. Rosenthal profusely apologized for the incompetence of his front staff, and told me that he knows they can be "disorderly" and told me to call his personal cell phone in the future. On the way out, I asked to pay, and I was told that I would be billed "later." Some time later, I received a "final notice" for a bill for $30. When I called in to ask what the hell was going on, the front office told me that they had made the decision to "terminate me as a client" for non-payment. She was also extraordinarily rude and combative. I view this as not only unethical, but illegal. I will be filing a formal complaint to the Medical Board of California.

Dr. Titov actually shows compassion and care! My first visit with him was longer than 1 hr., could you believe that? (Kaiser only gave me 15 mins before moving me forward like I was a piece of paper, UGH). Dr. Titov actually listens to me and heard me without any judgment. At the time I went to visit him, I was dealing with a lot of emotions, weight challenges and just not happy with myself and he guided me through the problem to help me find a solution. Dr. Titov has bettered my life by sending me to a weight loss physician (which I see every month) and I'm happy to report that I no longer have to deal with high blood pressure or swelling! The Best Customer Service award goes to....MARIAM!!! Mariam is totally phreaking AWESOME; she knows her sh*t! Every time I call and need something she is willing to help me. She always calls me to inform me on what the doctor says AND....When I need referrals, she takes her time to upload my referral into the computer, makes me a copy to pick up AND faxes a copy to the physician for review. Told you she is AWESOME! It gets better though, every time I get a referral to go somewhere, they ALWAYS brag about how organized and smooth the transition was from my doctor's office (All because of Mariam!). There are times where they say, "Oh, look at this, your information is already in the system, there is no need to make additional copies". Yayy! Now, I am sure the other assistants are just as great as Mariam, but, I have to give praise to this lovely lady because I am not an easy person to deal with; I feel for her sometimes, I am too needy and want things done right away, and she never complains or acts like I am annoying her. I definitely encourage you to come see Dr. Titov, you would NOT be disappointed! I go twice a year to visit him (unless I need him for additional testing throughout the year) and he is always so pleasant! You get fast results, right away! Just how it should be! I needed a TB test for grad school and a lot of urgent cares didn't take insurance for the test. When I made the appointment on June 4th, the person I spoke with said they take my insurance. When I arrived for the test on June 8th, I was told the test wasn't covered by insurance and was $69. Since I needed the test for school, I just paid the fee and it was a little lower than some other places. However, they should have told me at the time of booking so I could have been prepared to pay or go elsewhere. The bigger issue is that they haven't refunded the $50 fee I was charged when I filled out my information online. The online portal just asked for my card info but nowhere did it say I'd be charged a fee. When I went to get my results read on 6/10/26, I showed the receptionist a screenshot from my bank account and she said that was a no show fee and they would refund it since I showed up to my scheduled appointments. When I check my bank account two days later, I don't see the refund. I've made several calls and the people I talk to keep saying they'll look into the issue yet my bank account doesn't show the refund. One person I talked to said I shouldn't have been charged the NSF because I had a TB test, not appt. It shouldn't take 3 weeks to refund the fee and am seriously considering taking City Health to small claims court. The person who did my TB test was friendly but I would not go back to City Health due to the above issues.

What I appreciated was his honesty about the limits of treatment and his investment of time and effort in studying the subject and his spending quite some time on two separate occasions on the phone with me to discuss all the science.

I was taking my son in for a follow-up post ER visit after having several focal seizures and was going to request a referral for a new neurologist. The appointment was noted on a different day, but when I told her the scheduler gave me this date and time she began yelling at us that she needed to see the new patient first and we would have to wait (mind you, we're already seated IN her office). When I told her that we had another appointment and that we couldn't wait, oh, she really got confrontational! I told her it was very unprofessional of her to react that way in front of my son who wasn't feeling the best. I had to calm him down in order to avoid causing another seizure.
