After over a…read moredecade of chronic carpal and cubital tunnel pain and many attempts to resolve it non-surgically, Dr. Stein and his team took the time to offer me a permanent solution to my pain. They did not enter upon surgery lightly and had me go for a neurological test to be sure. I ended up having surgery of both hands and elbows and am recovering well and quickly. Dr. Stein's bedside manner is excellent and he made me feel seen and my pain acknowledged. As a black woman, I have not always had the most positive experiences in health care so to have this one be so good was almost overwhelming. All of the nurses and PAs treated me with the upmost respect and care. A special shout out to Jen, Lara and Beth, all of whom cared for me as if I were their family. Thank you to Jen especially for all of her work and giving me the tools and authorizing the tests that aided in my decision to go forward with the surgery. And finally to Dr. Stein, I am forever grateful for his expertise and kindness. I am able to use my hands again, something I will never take for granted. If you are thinking of going somewhere else, don't. This is the place to go and you will not regret it.

This practice is discharge-happy…read more I came in for a pinky fracture in 2021. Went through about 6 sessions of therapy. My range of motion never returned back to normal despite the false reassurance by Dr. Stein. The therapists requested my insurance for more therapy sessions so they could try something different to see if they could get my full range of motion back. Even though my insurance approved the sessions, Jenn the PA ended up canceling my sessions being adamant saying I didn't need them. Then she unprofessionally kept arguing with me and said there's nothing else they would be willing to do to remedy the situation. I left a very frustrating voicemail for her asking why they would treat me like that. Not only did she not reply, but a week later, I received a discharge letter in the mail. Fast forward to this week, I had another injury to my hand. Knowing I have limited transportation and access to another hand clinic , I tried calling EB Hand again. I explained the discharge history to the receptionist, but she told me there was no record of me being discharged on file. So then I sent my referral to them and proceeded to book the appointment. I get three hasty call attempts maybe an hour later basically telling me they dug up files from 5 years ago saying I was discharged from their practice. I would avoid this practice like the plague. They mostly deal with Worker's Comp patients, and all they want to do is collect money from your insurance. Whether or not you experience a full recovery or they live up to their treatment promises is of absolutely NO PRIORITY to them. Beware! Zero stars for the medical staff. The one star is for Mike and Joe, the therapists, who were always great to me.

When I scheduled my appointment, I explicitly asked for a medication assessment, as suggested by my therapist due to escalating anxiety and depression symptoms. At no point prior to my appointment was I informed that they do not provide that service and the Dr seemed confused about it when I went for my appointment. Long story short, the Dr was completely insensitive to my struggles with anxiety/depression. She suggested I try drawing or hiking because hiking makes her happy, she also said that therapy should be working. Pros - I like that they are able to communicate via text, it's really convenient. Wait time was minimal when I went for my last appointment. Dr suggested a magnesium supplement Calm to help with anxiety. I purchased it and will give it a try. She suggested a referral to a psychiatrist, which would have been helpful know prior to that appointment. I'm sure she's great with some clients, the experience was just horrific for me personally so I will be seeking a new doctor.

I've never had that happen to me at any urgent care facility and I went there because it was close to home, but I hightailed it out of there and went to Sutter's urgent care, where I was charged my regular office visit co-pay. Over the years, Dr. Wells never made us feel like just another appointment. He always took the time to truly listen, to explain, to reassure, and to care in a way that felt personal and genuine. As a parent, that kind of consistency and compassion is something you never forget. It feels like we are closing a long and meaningful chapter. My son is grown now, which is a milestone filled with pride and emotion on its own, but it's made even more poignant knowing we are also saying goodbye to a doctor who has been part of our lives for nearly two decades. Due to insurance changes and my son aging out of pediatric care, we are moving on, but we do so with immense gratitude. Dr. Wells has been a steady, caring presence through so many important years, and that is something we will always carry with us.
