Super impressed with this one!…read more When you walk in, it seriously feels like you stepped into a 90s movie diner, and I'm here for it! They were voted Best Burger in Newport News, so my expectations were pretty high. They absolutely did NOT disappoint. I ordered a plain cheeseburger with grilled onions and bacon, along with the chili cheese fries. BEST MEAL I'VE HAD IN A WHILE! The burger was fresh, juicy, and exactly what I was craving. Everything came out super fast and tasted fresh. You order at the counter when you walk in, and if you're dining in, they bring your food out to you. Super easy and efficient. It does get crowded though. They also had a little market where they sell ice cream, pie, jerky's, snacks. I really wanted to try their soft serve too, but by the time we finished eating, there was a HUGE line, so I'm kind of sad I didn't get to try it. Guess that just means I have to come back!

Based on what we had and the speed of food delivery, I'd give Farmer's Table on Warwick 4/5 stars…read more We had four burgers, a chili dog, and tater tots. I think the tater tots were my favorite part - they were the perfect crispness. Burgers were delicious but messy, especially when your kids don't understand how to eat a burger with the paper wrapped around it so the toppings don't drip out and fall apart. The grease didn't soak through the buns like other people talked about, but it definitely had some liquid coming off. Still, delicious! There were a lot of people in line to order when we got there, and we were worried it would take a long time, but the orders were coming out pretty rapidly and we didn't wait too long. They do have some coloring books and a puzzle to keep little kids entertained while waiting, which was much appreciated. They also have a small farm shop in the next room with various items for sale. Overall, we would come back to support the farm-to-table concept, but not necessarily because of the food.

I was hungry for a cheesesteak and was curious about this place. Based on the previous reviews I…read morethought it was worth a try. I was also intrigued about the cheesesteak egg rolls. I hate to say it but I didn't like it. I ordered a cheesesteak and a chicken cheesesteak egg roll. My biggest complaint with both was the meat was chopped way too fine for me. I'm use to big slices of steak and chicken in my cheesesteaks. The sub roll was also not substantial enough to stay intact when I bit into it. It just fell apart. I will try this place again when I'm visiting the area because like I said earlier others thought it was great. I'll also go earlier next time because I overheard the cook say while I was waiting, "here comes the end of the night rush." They had some good foot traffic.

Let's get into it! This Cheesesteak Cafe is a "Mom and Pops Joint" located at Peninsula Town…read moreCenter. It serves Philly-style cheesesteaks, samplers, egg rolls, exceptional customer service, and some of the Best Wings I have had in the area! The restaurant is relatively small and gloomy, with enough seating to hold about 20 people for dine-in; however, this place is not a dine-in but a takeout place. I like that they put their full menu online, unlike other places that only put limited items. Service is outstanding; my first time calling in an order, the server not only told me how long it would be. Also, on this occasion, after calling in my order and completing the call, the server realized there was something that they did not have at the time. So she took the time to call and let us know and offered us something else. It was honorable in my eyes that she did that. Lastly, when I arrived, she double-checked to ensure my order was correct before I left the store. I had a cheesesteak, and my wife had the same. They were served hot, cheese melted all the way, and tasted terrific; the only problem was they were light with the meat. This is a very unique menu. They have sampler platters that can feed an army or combo platters that can feed two, and the price is right. You can mix and match them or have the pre-selected item. Now, let me talk about these wings. AMAZING! Fried to perfection, seasoned with a wet or dry rub, plain or on the side. These are cooked to order, so if you get wings to go, they are still hot when you get home. These wings are excellent, and you get them whole or halved. The wings are a must-try; they are some of the best in the area! I recommend you call ahead, but if you don't, there is a seating area where you can wait. I will be back! Happy Yelping!

Bread is usually a throwaway ingredient for me.... I'll pick pieces off until I hit meat. Not with this grilled pork bahn mi! The bread is NOT dense. It had a crispy a crunchy exterior with a light a fluffy interior. No pic because I inhaled it, but I'm sure I'll have another by next Saturday lol. The meat is juicy and flavorful (I'd pay for their marinade recipe!) My sandwich paired perfectly with a cold beer. The restaurant is off of Armistead Ave, just before you reach Sparetimes in Hampton. The prices are seriously reasonable and I'm so scared that will change. Please go now.

I've had Amy's Bánh Mì before when my wife brought it home and it was really good. The first time I had the roast pork banh mi but it was sitting so I had to warm it up and of course re-warmed up food isn't always the best but the flavors were there. The next time she brought home the egg rolls, and I was hooked! So yesterday I was in the area and I decided to go there for lunch. I tried calling twice to place my order ahead of time but no answer, no problem, I'll just order in person. The owners were very nice and welcoming. You can tell this place is authentic, we spoke about catering an event in the future, I definitely felt the hospitality. I ordered two orders of egg rolls, a roast pork banh mi and a matcha milk tea. It maybe took about 15-20 minutes for me to get my order... while I have no problem waiting for good food, I do expect it to be fresh if I'm waiting. Sadly this wasn't the case. I wanted to try this as soon as I got in the car. The egg rolls were crispy but look warm. The roast pork banh mi was not warm at all. The pork was roasted at one point but not at the time of my order. When you order roast pork it's for the crispy pork skin, the skin was crispy whenever it was made but not when it came to me. The meat was dry as if it had been sitting from the day(s) before. And the matcha... way too much matcha, it was very gritty and herbal. But I was hesitant to get that instead of my normal Thai tea so I knew I was taking a chance on that. In conclusion, I will be back because I know that this place can make amazing food. Both dishes I had, the flavors were on point but this day it just didn't hit like it should've. I've been to Eden center in Arlington, VA and had a roast pork banh mi before, I know what it should be and this wasn't the same. I've had their egg rolls before after they've sat and they were fresher than the ones I had after receiving my food five minutes ago, respectfully. I'm only spreading awareness to the owners and this is not to tear them down or defer anyone from trying out this establishment. No other Vietnamese restaurant in the area is offering the authenticity that they do. This was just my first personal observation, I encourage everyone to go give them a try!
