Pork Bành Mì Pork Egg Rolls And Don't know what the other foods are called sorry about that

What a DIAMOND in the rough! I'm grateful I came across this beautiful Vietnamese restaurant. The people there were so lovely and kind and provided such excellent service. I didn't really expect as much as I received. The owner was so kind and courteous; we ended up chatting about his restaurant and when he started his food business. If you want QUALITY and something that'll give you satisfaction after a work day or during lunch, COME HERE. The people are nice, the sandwiches are good and they have a variety of tasty food to choose from. What I got: Some egg rolls The #2 a Pork Bánh Mì And couple of other things as you can see in the photos. Whenever I'm out there again, I'll have to stop by! :)

Hands down one of the best banh mi's I've tried. The bread was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Can't wait to visit again and try their other items! Had a quick chat with the owners and they're so nice!! Def recommend this place!

Amy's Banh Mi is our new favorite restaurant in the area, and we can't wait to return! Their baguette is made in-house--a rare and difficult skill that the staff has perfected. We love the combo banh mi, meatball banh mi, grilled pork banh mi, and Vietnamese hot coffee. The pork is grilled fresh to order, and the authentic flavors bring us right back to Vietnam. Prices are reasonable, and the staff is incredibly kind, even offering us a complimentary freshly baked baguette, which we truly appreciated. Please note the restaurant is takeout only, and bringing cash is recommended for the discount.

I have been looking for a Vietnamese place and this is it!!! I'm so excited. I've been homesick for my mom's food and the banh mi from northern Virginia. The banh mi was almost perfect! A good amount of meat, all of the fix ins, and the bread is perfect. It does taste slightly different than the ones I'm used to, potentially missing magi seasoning but otherwise was amazing. They sell bánh bot loc, banh bao, banh cuon, and other Vietnamese foods. This will be my new go to place so I no longer feel as homesick. There are drinks too but I will try more foods next time.

Banh mi was good, bread was a good texture as well, wasn't super hard. (Forgot to take photo) The banh cuon was a good amount and tasted great. Was still good the next day as well, which is a plus for me. No complaints

There's a moment... and if you've eaten traditional bánh mì, you know it, where the bread shatters, the pickled carrot and radish hits, and something in your brain just stops. All the noise goes quiet. I tried Amy's Banh Mi for the first time today while visiting NewPort News and had a déjà vu moment while eating their Banh Mi. The baguette had the structural integrity of something that actually means it. Crisp enough to fight back, soft enough to surrender. On the inside, caramelized meat that didn't need to explain itself, and pickled vegetables doing what acid does best, cutting through everything false and leaving only what matters. The rice cakes? Herbed, crispy, wearing a chili crown that had no business being that good alongside a sandwich. Yet there it was. I washed it down with with the best tasting Soursop juice, 100%, no sugar, no artificial flavors and suddenly you're not standing at a window anymore. You're somewhere warmer and surrounded by the aroma of spices and flavors waiting to be explored. The owner was extremely nice and helpful in picking the best flavors to try based on my preference. That's the thing about honest food, it doesn't perform, it just reminds you. Amy's Banh Mi reminds you. Thank you Huy for bringing this flavor to the Norfolk area! Highly recommend this place if you're into Banh Mi! Also, their dessert (Sam Bo Luong) is amazing and should be sold more often!!!

This wonderful local Vietnamese store is an absolute gem in Hampton! As one of the few places in the area where you can find authentic Vietnamese ingredients and specialty items without driving far, it's become my go-to spot. The owners -- a true mom-and-pop small business -- are always friendly, welcoming, and genuinely happy to help you find what you need. Every visit feels personal and warm, like stepping into a store run by neighbors rather than a chain. They offer fresh food and unique pantry staples to ready-to-enjoy items you wouldn't easily find elsewhere in Hampton. The vibe is charming -- it's the kind of place that really makes our community richer. They offer food you can't find anywhere else in a 2 hr radius - banh bot loc, banh nam, banh khot, banh beo, banh tet, and more I love supporting this business and I hope more people discover it too. As a Vietnamese person, thank you for being here and bringing great Vietnamese goods to our neighborhood!

Good quality take out food is here! A Vietnamese deli to get sandwiches with good bread and other takeout items like rice noodle dishes and rice crepes. Egg rolls, spring rolls and buns are also available. So delicious!

The Thai milk tea is so good and I got the marinated pork bahn mi sandwich. It has tender flavorful pork and the bread is crispy on the outside but soft just right. The guy working there today was very friendly and he let me sample the pate that comes on the sandwich and it is very good. I will be back!

New place with great food! Newly opened, they're still working out the kinks for service, but the sandwiches taste like California Banh Mi in the best way! The bread is Vietnamese Baguette, where most places in Hampton Roads use whatever sub bread that's available. It makes a big difference! Be careful with the signs for things they sell. If you don't know Vietnamese, you may think you're buying something that you're not. Like some desserts were behind signs and prices for Banh Cuon. They have an assortment of Vietnamese desserts too (Banh Bo, Che Dau Trang, Che Banh Lot) that you don't find in the area often. We asked for a Tofu Banh Mi that wasn't on the menu, but they had no problem making a vegetarian banh mi (Banh Mi Chay). Give them a try, they are super friendly and working really hard! They sold out of everything their first day, so its good and it looks like a new fixture on our lunch rotation.

I've seen the ads on social media so I had to try it out. I had one of my technicians that hasn't tried Banh Mi to order for us and bring it back to the shop. He was very pleased with the #1 and I was as well. It's top notch and easily compares to the best sandwiches in California and DC area.

We knew what we wanted before entering so it took no time to order. I selected one of their Spring items, Brown Sugar Rose-Berry Freshmilk with brown sugar pearls, in honor of cherry blossoms for the State of Virginia. A very good drink indeed. Not too sweet and full of flavor. Some of the pearls did get stuck together (they were served hot after all), but it was no problem. Thank you once again Joyu for having us feel comfortable with much needed drinks. You'll see us again soon :)

The coffee came out fast and it was very good. The ambiance of this place is excellent. Perfect for a quiet study session, reading, or date. The food on the other hand.... wasn't very good. They have books, they have games, they have scheduled events (paint night for example) and they have a good variety of bakery items and hot sandwiches among other things. What a fun atmosphere! It's tucked away on Fort Monroe - a little off the beaten path for me, but well with the visit. Google maps had me coming from the back side of the building but once you find your way around, there is ample parking and some outdoor seating for nice days. Like any converted firehouse the only windows are from the large roll-up doors. The inside is cozy with plenty of comfy seating. They offer free Wi-Fi and activities for little ones including lots of fire trucks to play with so this would be a nice spot for families. Already planning to bring my family in for a stop on the way to Williamsburg. Plenty of coffee and non-coffee options plus seasonal specials and tons of flavor choices, including sugar free. I opted for a sugar-free dark chocolate latte which was delicious - perfect level of sweetness and just the right temperature. I also ordered an egg and cheese sandwich on naan bread. They have multiple cheese and other bread options. The egg was a little over seasoned but flavor was good. Compared to the major chains and other independent coffee shops, prices here are reasonable. Overall a great visit with welcoming and helpful staff. Looking forward to a trip back!
