Jersey Mikes Subs are great, customer service, not so much. Given the price we pay for the subs we can do without the attitude and you can CUT MY FRIGGIN SUB! I'm tired of pull apart subs. You cut the top, but never got the hand strength to cut the sub all the way through. And this time, lady had the nerve to say, "Yes ma'am, I got it" to my wife, flippantly, like my concerns are small. FRIGGIN cut the sub on something else before they go on the paper if you worried about cutting the paper. CUT MY FRIGGIN SUB! Pulling it a part at the bottom always makes a mess and drops toppings. Their online system ended up being down. The process of ordering inside to watching them make the sub was surprisingly quick. All of the ingredients were sliced fresh and the Italian sub was very filing. Maybe they just got through a rush but inside the store wasn't very organized or clean. Gloves were worn. Example-I tell them (via THEIR PERSONAL App) in the special instruction box... to not add certain items, or if those items I want on the side, and Of course to add "light oil& vinegar to stop my sandwich from Being too soggy. My husband picked up food from this location. They're subs are good, but boy are they pricey. They don't even give you your moneys worth on the sandwiches. Most of the meat is in the middle if the sandwich and a good 3-5" of the ends of the subs are just bread and condiments. We took our food home and when we got home, we realized one of our subs were incorrect. It should have been a chicken Philly and it was a normal Philly. Not very fun when the person who ordered doesn't eat red meat. read more

Love jersey mike's. However the food prep counter is very messy with food all over the place. My main problem is with the white girl with long strands of hair hanging over the food. One day someone is going to find hair in their sandwich. I also observed workers scratching their head, adjusting their hats and touching their clothes with gloved hands and then handle food. No one wears hair nets. Thought of contacting the Health Department to report because some workers seem to take these issues lightly. read more

I had the opportunity to order a sub at the Hampton Va store on Coliseum dr around 4:00 pm on Fathers day june 18th. The staff was incredibly busy as there were only 4 people working. The afternoon was extremely busy with online orders, people calling in and large line at the counter. There were probably 25 tickets open and three main out front staff worked together, no frustration or irritation was displayed, as they quickly and quietly handled all customer's needs and complaints. I had a taste for a good Italian sub - you know how it is when something like this pops into your head. Well I thought I'd try Jersey Mike's fare. What a mistake. I ordered the 10" Italian sub. What I got was a sub sandwich - piled high with the cheapest, tasteless ham and white meat (couldn't tell what the white meat was from taste!) found in our civilized world. Oh yes, on top of the mess they call meat - was 2 thin thin thin slices of salami. I could see this - but like the other meat, it was flavorless. At long last! I don't have to drive 30 minutes in 3 different directions to have my favorite chain submarine sandwich. I had my usual, the Italian on rosemary parm bread, no regular ham, extra salami, Mike's Way, add pickles and cherry pepper relish. It was prepared quickly and correctly. Also, they have a couple of unique sodas on tap, including an agave vanilla, which is great if you like cream soda. The restroom was clean and there wasn't any trash left on the floor or tables. Food is mid, I found hair in my sub and did not get bacon on it I paid extra money for, plus the sub wasn't cut in half, and it fell apart because it was DRENCHED in mustard. Service is unhygienic, they don't follow health safety protocols and make wearing gloves pointless. Ambiance varies but is ok. Really wish the staff would get on it, this is the only place I can get a gluten free sub and the quality/safety of food is questionable and makes me uncomfortable to go and eat. I ordered my food online for pick up. I got there 30 minutes after the time it stated to pick up my food and it had not even been started. The staff had no idea where my order was. Finally an employee looked on the register and noticed it had not even been printed out to start. If I had not already paid for it I would have just left and not come back. Jersey Mike's has been my favorite fast-casual sub shop since I first tried them years ago. I was happy to finally have one standup in the Hampton/Newport News area. My favorite is the #13 -- The Original Jersey-style Italian sub. It has provolone, ham, prosciuttini, cappacuolo, salami, and pepperoni.  Order this one Mike's Way to get the awesome flavor combination of the fresh veggies and the Red wine vinegar and an olive oil blend. This is Jersey Mike's signature flavor profile and what sets the franchise apart from the competitors. The Hampton location has a very friendly staff and was nice and clean. Normally this Jersey Mikes location is on point but my last two visits have been disappointing. Both online orders have been incorrect, missing ingredients, missing chips too much oregano not enough oil and vinegar, made sloppy, wrong size of sandwiches. We were there around 5:10, the guys working in the front were jobbing it. However the guy cooking the hot sandwiches was slower than molasses. Waited nearly 20 minutes for 1 sandwich and the blond chick at the cashier was no help and when I asked about our sandwich, she could care less. If you want something quick with a good flavor, this is the place you should go. We also added a little spice to tie it all in, which just gave more depth to the hoagie. I mainly wanted to say that your sandwiches are actually really good. But the way you prepare the food for everyone is ridiculous. There are three guys and blue shirts who just stand there and talk to each other while the two men in the white shirt take the orders make the food wrap it all up and they just hand it to the guys in the blue shirt to put in the bag. It seems a little ridiculous you could literally get rid of two of those guys and blue shirts because they're just morale booster is at this point. I found myself at JMS on March 19th 2022 to order a sandwich based on the fact that my daughter told me how great their Philly Cheesesteaks Sandwich was my daughter raves about their sandwiches. My daughter is usually on point when it comes to good food so I went In to order. My daughter told me what to order so I ordered exactly the same as she did. Unfortunately, upon eating the sandwich I really had to disagree. Way too much mayo, mustard and part of the meat I had to throw away because I could not chew. I decided to just let the manager know my experience and I was not expecting anything from telling him, but the manager Richard was very accommodating and apologetic. He offered to remake the Philly Cheesesteaks. Mr. Richard remade it to perfection. I blinked my eye and the sandwich was ready Literally. That's what I call excellent customer service. I am happy and will continue to go to Jersey Mike's because of Mr. Richards. You deserve 10 stars cause you made my day!!!! read more
