Our favorite brewery! We are from long island, NY and hands down our favorite beer is Green State Lager. It's so clean and refreshing! I would love to give this 4.5 stars! The atmosphere was fun! People were playing pool, families were together in the seating areas, and the bar areas were quite busy. Also, the decor is beautiful. I would knock down 1/2 a star because there wasn't much signage or direction on how their ordering works. We walked in and saw a sign that said "Seat yourself" so we did but waited about 5 minutes until no one brought us a menu or drinks. We saw another family go up to the bar to order drinks and food and learned by seeing that is the process here. A sign or introduction when people walk in would've been VERY helpful. The food, was stellar. This was the best BLT i've had in a long time. and the fries were to die for. My husband loved the wings. We didn't order beers this time but their selection looked quite extensive. The wait staff was friendly too. I would definitely recommend this brewery!! read more

Zero Gravity is a brewery Steve and I tried out a while back. This brewery wasn't too bad. The beers were refreshing and enjoyable. Perhaps not the most experimental in recipes but enjoyable enough. We had three different beers from Zero Gravity. Our first beer was the Green State Pilsner. It was a decent pilsner with a clean, light hoppy flavor to it. Not necessarily the most memorable pilsner I've had but pretty good. Little Wolf was the next beer we enjoyed. This was a light, malty pale ale that we got into a little more versus the pilsner and was an enjoyable beer to have on the warm, summer day we were having. Conehead was the third and final beer we had and it was an IPA. Another lighter beer that we had. All three were on the lighter side. It wasn't a bad IPA by any means but again... not anything terribly memorable either. As I said all three beers were pretty light. I'd like to try some of Zero Gravity's porters or stouts and get a take on those. Perhaps another time. read more

Rounding up from a 4.5. I thought the food here was very good and they had a lot of very good drinks on the menu and the food also tasted really good. This restaurant also had some of the best root beer I have ever tasted. The service here at this restaurant was very good because all of the staff were friendly and nice and the staff were quite helpful. This location is very clean because the staff clean the tables after people sit at them. For the reasons I have stated in this review, I highly recommend you visit this location. read more

This is the kind of place we wish we could clone in NYC, complete with the kind and knowledgeable staff, friendly guests, awesome beer (many made fresh on premises), excellent food, clean bathrooms -- the whole package. Brews were amazing: unique, brewed in a mind-boggling variety of tastes and styles, with a generous selection on tap, even more available canned. We tried the Snowbird, a really cool, unique sour ale made with grape must; the Bohemian dark, some convincing non-alcoholic beers, and others. Pours are either 10 oz or 16 oz with little variance in price ($4 and $6; both a steal by NYC standards for this incredible quality). Smaller pours are great if you want to design your own flight, but want to retain some functionality for later in the day. The food menu is a little hard to find in their website. Zero Gravity makes some unexpectedly excellent salads!!* [*Once upon a time, we didn't understood the appeal of cold salads in cold weather. We were so puzzled by the prevalence of cold shrimp salads at outdoor farmer's markets and food stands in the winter on our first trips to Sweden about a decade ago! But now that we've been immersed in the tradition for a while, we couldn't do without it. The kale and greens are something I feel like I need to stay happy when there's less sunlight than usual, so I tend to gravitate towards salad on ski mountains, at Vermont breweries, etc...] Zero Gravity's kale salad with chicken was truly fabulous, a generous bowl of thinly shredded kale tossed with oven roasted broccoli spears, roasted chickpeas, fried onions, a perfect amount of dressing. (I know this description does the salad no justice.) Local baby greens with cured vegetables, spicy nuts, miso-maple dressing were simple, but again well / moderately dressed and well conceived. Burgers in two editions -- one adult, one child -- were both well made with the same unadulterated, high quality beef, well seasoned, though a touch undersalted to our tastes, on beautifully toasted, fresh buns. The fries were swoon worthy -- the kind with a little skin left on, very nicely fried in a hot deep fryer, well blotted -- and came with what I'm pretty sure was straight up garlic mayonnaise (not garlic aioli). We're low brow so we doused ours in ketchup per usual. Expansive indoor seating is now available in bar rooms with high ceilings, as well as comfortable outdoor seating on the front porch under heat lamps, relatively well shielded from occasional gusts blowing in from Lake Champlain. We visited this brewery while on vacation in Vermont. Highly recommend this place. If you see a parking lot full of cars near dinner time you know you are at a good place. We walked in expecting to have to wait since they had lots of cars in parking lot. It is a decent size place and if weather is nice they also have outdoor seating. We ended up not having to wait for a seat and sat in front of the wood burning fire place they gave that sets for a great vibe especially on a cold night. We ate and ordered drinks. We had the coney dogs which had a nice Smokey BBQ flavor to them. I also ordered the chicken sandwich. That was really tasty but was fried a little too long a bit crunchy but definitely worth the try. I had the Conehead beer which was really good. If you like Blue Moon you will like this beer. My husband had on of the stouts and really enjoyed said it was smooth. read more

This place is very cute. I went for the first time with a friend and her dog so we did outside seating. You have to go inside to the bar to order. There are water stations and glasses as well for you to get your own ice water. I ordered the wings and fries. The wings were good and had a seemingly Asian inspired taste to them. The fries were also good and fresh. I wish I could give half stars because I'm removing a half star for lack of ranch. It seems everywhere in Vermont they have blue cheese and not ranch. Whyyyyyy? Are y'all like this? Anyway, I enjoyed the lavender lemonade but didn't have a beer because I don't drink it. I just like brewery's tbh for the culture. Zero Gravity has a good atmosphere but everyone knows it. If you come during any kind of peak time there are no seats and people seem to camp out for a while once they're settled. The parking lot is also small so you'll have to look to side streets during busy times for a spot. We tried a few beers, none were my personal favorites, and the thai lettuce wrap appetizer was good, but nothing special. Overall it's a big space but gets very crowded and everything is self-service so you do have to maneuver around a lot. It's fine but there are better breweries in the area. read more

We were always a fan of the beer. On this recent visit to Vermont, we wanted to check out the taproom. They had an outdoor setup but it was too busy and we decided to just bring the food back to our hotel. The food was excellent. Very cool spot with some amazing beer. There are some benches outside, if you want to be outdoors. Also, they have a small garden, that is a cool touch. Inside, there are a couple of tables and the bar. The beer was really good, traditional stuff and IPA's, but all really tasty and really well made. The beer here is pretty excellent, no complaints about that. Great ambience. The service, however, is very poor by some, not all, of the employees. My SO and I asked about the dinner special, if there was a veggie or side included. The girl at the register said, "You get what it says on there." With some attitude. Also, upon 9 PM closing time I asked the bar back if they were still serving and he gave me wise ass answers. He could've politely explained, no, sorry we are no longer serving. In addition, the $19 perch fish fry on Thursday... Two small pieces of perch on top of some corn and pickles. No side dishes included either. Very disappointing because I was really looking forward to it. The fish was actually delicious but the portions were tiny. Save your money. read more

The (very discerning) beer drinkers raved about it, and there were lots of great NA drink options. They have their own hop water, which was excellent. Something on the menu for everyone. Max took the time to chat with us about beer, gave amazing recommendations (which were spot on!), and even suggested some fantastic local spots for food, coffee, and places to walk our dog. Every suggestion Max gave was a winner! It's rare to find someone who makes you feel so welcome and valued, and Max did just that. Zero Gravity Brewery was stop three on our brewery hop. Maybe it was some beer fatigue, but I just did not really find a beer match here, though the space and food would draw me back. Quality: I was not excited about the beers I tried, and with a cocktail and wine list way larger than the beer list, not sure if they are either. During my visit I had the Oktoberfest, Black Cat Porter, and the Madonna. The beer list is heavy on IPAs, but I liked the non-IPAs I tried more. We ordered the Crispy Cheese Curds as a snack, which were a very nice bite, though I was not crazy about the apple cider jelly dip. Quantity: Two size draft pours, food was a decent size. Value: $6-$7 for a Draft Beer. $12 for Crispy Cheese Curds. Ambiance: Zero Gravity Brewery is located in Burlington, Vermont. They are an ideal brewery for a cold winter day. The inside is built like a cozy cabin, complete with lounge by a fireplace. Outside they have a good amount of tables, with some heaters above them. Alternative rock music played throughout our visit. Crowd: Very busy on Sunday afternoon, most tables outside were filled. Service: Drinks are quick, food is slow. This brewery had a really great vibe. You walk in to more of a bar setting - high tables and bar. It was a little crowded when we got there late on a Saturday afternoon but we were able to quickly order from the bar. Bar tender was quick and helped us pick beers for our flight. They were out of the rotating beer but we were still able to fill our flights with great options. To the right of the bar is more of a lounge area - shuffle board, couches, games and a few high tables. Really enjoyed the atmosphere here! We were able to get a spot on the couch hang out and play some board games (Jenga, battleship, sorry). Great spot for a low key date! I feel like this brewery had more of a "local" feel - they don't do brewery tours so deff more of a hangout spot. We didn't get to try the food here but if we come back I would deff be interested! read more

This was definitely my favorite brewery of the three we visited while in Burlington. We tried a flight of a few different choices and I got a pint of the Mungo Berry which is a fruity sour ale - super refreshing, strong berry flavor. Perfect for a hot day! The bartenders were all very friendly and patient while we made our decisions. The taproom is decently sized and there is outdoor seating on the front patio. They have a lot of great merchandise with awesome artwork. I loved the big chickadee mural on the wall and the bar itself is neat with white subway tile. Really nice, clean feel without being super stereotypical with Edison bulbs everywhere. I like beer, but I like food more. Zero Gravity has a small food menu which includes bao buns, sausages, hot dogs, and - the BEST part - bottomless homemade popcorn for $2! This was AMAZING. Hot and freshly popped with clarified butter and the perfect amount of salt, it was fluffy and crisp and delicious. This isn't the orange stuff that comes out of a popcorn machine (although I do love that too), it's the kind of stuff you'd make at home, only better. We tore through two bowls and I had to restrain myself when they asked if we wanted more. BOTTOMLESS HOMEMADE POPCORN, this is a thing more breweries should be doing. Amazing. The space is very nice. It's warm but still has high ceilings and is a bit industrial. There is a lounge on one side and the beer room is next to the actual brewery. Relaxed, good for kids and friendly. There is outdoor seating for those who want that. They don't know it but the nearest charger is at Champlain College about a 3 minute walk. Charge Point chargers. Just be warned this isn't a cheap lace to eat. The food is "ok". But expensive. Lunch including 1 beer for the four adults with tip was over $180. There is no service except they bring the food to the table. The beer is pretty good. I will do better elsewhere next time. read more
