I wanted to try this place for a drink and figured I might as well pick up some food too. The drink was ok - I had the pink lychee and it kind of tastes like soap but was blended well. I wouldn't go back for it. But the food... was horrible. It's worse than the food at Pepsi Center for a Nuggets game. It's like food court in a mall bad (remember malls?). Zero Degrees meets expectations despite the overwhelming social media hype. I was definitely worried that Zero Degrees would just be "meh," due to the crazy volume of hype it receives all over social media. Zero Degrees is an asian-hispanic fusion franchise, with multiple locations all over the west mainly including California, Nevada, Texas, and more. Fortunately, Zero Degrees met its high bar for its delicious (although on the sweeter side) drinks and fun menu items! Beware, Zero Degrees is not the place for anyone on a diet. They offer various decked out smoothies/slushes with beautiful presentations, classic boba milk tea drinks, hot cheetos elotes, loaded fries, and chicken wings. Let's start with the drinks. You can get either: a) A very instagram worthy smoothie - ube, cookie monster, mangonada (don't forget to add the mango twist!), watermelon slush, or a pink lychee drink. You can get these in a normal cup, or if you're feeling fancy, purchase a jar. These are what you most often see all over social media, I'm gonna have to come back to try the famous ube milkshake with its unicorn esthetic. b) A tea! Now this is what I had to get because of course I have to compare their classics to other local boba shops. I was pleased to see Zero Degrees offers honey boba and sea foam. I got the strawberry horchata with boba in a split cup with the matcha milk tea with sea foam. My friend got the thai milk tea with the lychee crush green tea which I tried. I must say that my favorite is definitely the strawberry horchata with the strawberry chunks. The lychee crush was quite good as well, with the added texture of chia seeds. The matcha milk tea is also decent, but I'm definitely all for continuing to try their different teas. I couldn't really taste the foam, but it may just be because there's less foam volume in the split cup. The teas here are definitely on the sweet side, but I'm not sure if you can request a "less sweet" level. Split cups are great for all those indecisive people! c) Hot snacks... and these are loaded! You better bring a friend to share! (or if not, no judgement, haha). Portions are large. They have hot cheetos elotes, carne asada fries, chicken wings, fried shrimp, and more. I shared the duo elotes which was half covered with jalapeno cheddar cheeto dust and half covered with xxtra flamin hot dust. We liked the xxtra hot flamin' half much better. When you crush up hot cheetos into dust, it's really not as spicy as the actual cheetos. I do wish they had mini size so you could get a little "side" of elotes or something, because this is something you can definitely sick of eating after so many bites. d) Box combos - these are pretty cool because you can get a hot snack with fries and drink! Five stars for awesome drinks! Don't forget to pick up a punch card, because you will probably be back. Zero Degrees is really worth all the hype! We tried the Ube Milkshake which was the right amount of sweet and creamy, despite all the sprinkles topped on top of the whip cream & marshmallow skewers. Would definitely get this drink again! We also tried two split cups, the first cup being Matcha Milk Tea & Classic Milk Tea, and second cup being Matcha Milk Tea & Tiger Sugar Milk Tea. The Classic Milk Tea was a little too sweet for my taste (but I usually get 50% sweetness at all other boba places, but Zero Degrees didn't give be an option to customize my sweetness/ice amount). However, my bf & brother, who usually drinks 100% sweetness, also said it was too much on the sweet side for them! The Matcha Milk Tea was PERFECT however! Not too sweet & not too bitter from the matcha taste. Was definitely my fave milk tea. The Tiger Sugar Milk Tea was also the perfect blend of sweetness & creaminess! I've never had it before until Zero Degrees, but I was left impressed! Of course we had to try the Mangonada, since that's what Zero Degrees is known for! And man, it did not disappoint! I'm originally from California, so I looooove the pairing of sweet and spicy of the mangonada flavors! Definitely reminded me of home!! As for food/treats, we got the Flaming Hot Cheetos eloté box (comes with Flaming Hot Cheetos fries) and a classic eloté box (comes with butter garlic fries). Both were AH-MAZINGLY delicious. By the time you are waiting for your food your drinks will be gone then you will eat your food without your drinks because they took a lot of time to take out your full order in one time. Way tooo many people at front. They should have one on the floor cleaning floor and cleaning the floor also the bathroom. Sanitary Purpose?: there's a bunch of girls at front ( nothing wrong by that *love it* ) BUT they all have long hair and guess what? No hair net! They prepare your drinks in front of you and all I see is the hair down and moving here and there. I remember very well when I use to work for Cold Stone we always had to have our hair up in a bun or with a hair net. Because? Because we don't want to give the customer the experience of finding a strain of hair in their drink/food. Cleanliness: i will give a 40% and I don't even know about percentages. The tables are always dirty and the floor. Sticky.. so if you go bring your wipes. The Bathroom unfortunately is a mess too. I ordered chicken wings combo box and elotes w hot cheetos combo box. The garlic butter fries that came with one of the combos was overly buttery. The mangonada smoothie was more of a mango icee. However, the split cup I had with house coffee and strawberry bliss were super good. 3 stars from me because the drinks were ready 15 mins before we got our food. The place layout was horrible that we barely could get out of the door without touching people. The music was so loud that make people talk loud inside. Stopped by this boba place while visiting the area, a definite must-go! It's a buzzing place with counter service. The menu has a variety of specialty smoothies, bubble teas, and some street foods with intriguing and experimental flavors (see: Flamin' Hot Cheetos fries, Mac and Cheetos). I got the Ube Milkshake which is basically made of rainbows and happiness and purple yam. It wasn't super sweet despite how it looks, which was a very pleasant surprise to me. So...they're OK. They're far from the best boba/snack place around, but they also have decent drinks and light snacks. The biggest issue lies with their workflow and the time it takes to get your order. I've often placed online orders and it'll give me an estimate for 20-30 mins out, but then when I show up 30 minutes later, they haven't even started on my order yet, or worse, they have my blended drink ready but haven't started on the food. So by the time my food order is finally done, my drink is watery and tastes much worse than it should; this is a dealbreaker for a lot of people, including me. Expectations are black and white, and when you can't deliver them, it's a real let down to your customers. Change your workflow so that your team members are communicating with each other so you don't have literally over 10 drinks sitting there ready while the kitchen crew is backed up. In addition, please make sure that your team members are wearing their face-coverings PROPERLY. The last few times I've been there, they're not wearing face-masks, they're wearing chin-guards. And the way that their drinks have a large open top, makes it very scary. read more

The options to choose from were very diverse and the you were able to mix and match which teas you want in a split cup which is perfect for the indecisive person! Food: the French fries alone were absolutely delicious. The elotes were full with flavor but were very rich with either crema or mayonnaise, which wasn't my desired taste, but some might like it. Service: definitely hang on to the receipt until you get everything. They seemed to serve the food first and then smoothies 5-8minutes later which caused confusion when they'd punch your receipt after handing you the food. There was a little disorganization in that, but the establishment is new so they probably just have a few kinks to work out. When it's 90 degrees out, coming to Zero Degrees is a great idea! They have tons of cold drinks, smoothies and desserts to help you cool down. I first heard about this place in California but never got a chance to try one of the California locations. I tried the strawberry horchata and thought it tasted much more cinnamon-y than I expected. It tasted good but the base was sweeter and less rice-y than regular horchata. It reminded me of a strawberry Cinnamon-toast-crunch milk. My biggest complaint is that I asked for less ice and there was still over 3/4 cup of ice. I'm a big fan of their fun menu items that include things like Hot Cheeto covered snacks and mangonadas (a favorite of mine). I'd definitely come back to try more of their menu items. I don't know if they have outdoor seating during non-COVID times. There's a private parking area and it's located below an apartment complex. I thought the service was quick. Zero Degrees is one of the first boba places to introduce the split-cup idea. I don't imagine you'd get to taste much if they continue putting as much ice as they do in a split-cup. read more

My kid loves this place cuz of the Ube boba drink. It's ok. Super busy in such a small unit. We've gone maybe a few times and each and every time they messed up our order. I took my kid n her friends there and both of her friends drinks got messed up. Forgot the boba. They told me well it doesn't how on receipt u asked for boba. I did. I went to this place opening weekend and it was crazy busy. Almost a two hour wait. When we got our order, I thought this place was amazing and that once the hype died down it would be a great casual place to stop by. The Ube shake tasted so good. I'm a taro lover but ube was similar in flavor but better. Had a different kind of punch to it. So I couldn't wait to come back. After maybe a month and a half later, I was in the area and got the Ube shake expecting to get hit with that awesome flavor, the drink just tasted like taro. That really disappointed me. It went from a place that stood out to just being another asian drink place. I'll need to come back a third time to confirm, but I'll have to give it an average rating. 11/27/19 - update Quality here only seems to be getting worse. Drinks are blended to the point where you can only drink then after they melted. The service was insulting. Cashier treated me like they didn't want to be there and was even more upset that they had to take my order. I've come here twice during the pandemic because my favorite boba tea shop shut down. Both times I've had the strawberry pina colada drink. It's a solid drink and you can't complain about the portion size (HUGE), but service is slow and not friendly at all. But that really doesn't play a large factor with take-out food so whatever. I'm nervous to try the food based on the other Yelpers' reviews but might give it a shot one of these days. We'll see how it goes. read more

I usually come here after my shift ends around 8:30ish, the closing staff is always troublesome as seen from the reviews below but the morning staff gives better service and has a better attitude overall. I stopped coming for awhile due to bad customer service but it seems like new staff has been hired. I recommend giving it another try as their strawberry horchata is to die for. Love to order from here as the drinks are always so tasty! We've enjoy the combo boxes as well- always plenty of food and delicious. While the chicken was nice and crispy, it tasted like there was seasoning other than salt and pepper on it and it wasn't my fave. I normally order the garlic seasoning on my chicken and will go back to that. My husband wasn't crazy about the wings on this trip either. The drinks were top shelf though! We ordered the mangonada with tamarindo straw for my husband and I got the tiger sugar milk tea for myself and we will definitely be ordering these again! Although it was very busy when I went to pick it up, the staff was really cranking through the orders and were very friendly to boot!! This place is usually packed on a warm day and you have to wait in a really long line. So order takeout if the weather is nice. This time I came in on a cold day and there was no line. Everything I've tried here has been great. It's definitely not healthy food, it's more like a college kids dream lol. Fried foods, foods covered in hot Cheetos, and delicious drinks etc. I tried the strawberry horchata and it blew my mind. They have a cool option to get a "split cup" so you can try two drinks at a time. I ordered the carne asada fries and they were delicious! Only con was they didn't really have a lot of carne asada bits. I also tried the flaming hot elote which is also known as street corn with Cotija cheese, mayo, paprika, and with this one they add crushed hot Cheetos to it (so yummy). The food and drink was not worth the wait or the hype. I really wanted to like this place, but all the negative reviews are true. The entire place lacks organization and direction. The customer service is pretty much non-existent and it seems as though no one was really trained, but rather thrust into their position. Disclaimer, when you're ordering multiple items, expect your items to come out at different times. You may get one drink, then have to wait another 10 minutes to get the next and then another 15 on top of that for your food. The drinks are tooth-achingly sweet. I got the lychee crush and it tasted more like sugar than anything else. I also ordered their new crispy fried shrimp with garlic butter which came with fries. I was pleasantly surprised at the size of the shrimp, but then I took a bite and was greeted with grease. The fries were also a greasy mess and the oil tasted old.
