My wife and I frequent this place at least twice a month. The sushi is really good for the price point. The cucumber salad is a great starter and Sushi Combo F allows us to get our salmon fix. We usually order 2 specialty rolls, always asking to add a little spice to it. I can't speak to the fried rolls but everything we have had with fresh fish on it has been good. Now for the best part of the restaurant, the service! We always have the same waitress and she is fantastic. Very willing to make recommendations and she gives us fair warning if she thinks we are over ordering. We asked her to give us that warning pretty early on as we had to roll ourselves out the door a couple of times. read more

Hello, Sushi Eaters Wife and I have been going here for 5yrs now, Loved this place up until New Owner came in and took over about 4 to 5 Months ago, which Wife and I were actually expecting too happen sooner or later, that's been are experience with some or most of the Sushi Bars that we've had Experience with, we used to know everybody by Name including the Sushi Chefs, now we only know one Person that's still there.New Owners come in, changes come, the Quality of service and Sushi slowly start to go away, which is what happen here. I went here for the last time last Weekend March 2nd 2019, went in didn't recognize anybody, and while I was eating the Waitress or Server, which ever you prefer, actually laid down on one of the Seats, in a Booth near the window, was She sick, Tired, Hungover, Don't know, doesn't matter, yes, I was the only Customer in there, but Ive never seen nothing like that, and you should always have Respect for your Customers and represent yourself and the place you Work for. This place has a really cute atmosphere especially for being basically connected to the mall. The sushi is pretty good as well, I had a hard time deciding what I wanted off the menu because everything sounded delicious! I got the Las Vegas and the sun shine roll and they were pretty decent. They both had a little bit too much sauce on the rolls so the next time I go I'll make sure to ask for less or even on the side. If I'm ever in the area I wouldn't mind eating here again. read more

Sushi prices are decent and the ambiance is nice. I ordered the teriyaki chicken Bento box and was impressed with the portions. My waitress was nice and informative about the sushi selection. My daughter is allergic to a few things on the menu, so she suggested foods that would be great for her to eat. read more

Absolutely delicious. Enjoy every minute of going to this place. Many people complain that this place has too many Americanized dishes for their taste. There is a reason they do have Americanized dishes. They're fucking delicious. And I don't think Terry Texan and his two ton family of four has ever had a craving for anything that wasn't covered in gravy. They pop out amazing American style dishes like tempura California rolls while maintaining traditional favorites at a moderately reasonable price. I have eaten here several times and they are great! The custom rolls are very good and the basic rolls are well done. The servers nice and the ambiance is good. I am allergic to shellfish and they were happy to change out the crab or shrimp in some of the custom rolls to a fish that I could eat. I will be back! read more

This is one of my favorite places to eat. My boyfriend and i drive from Irving,Tx to eat here. I used to live in Euless and i found this gem when i went to the mall one day. I have eaten their Ahi Tower,Romo Roll,California Roll,Eel Cucumber Roll and today i will try the Chicken Teriyaki. I have to say that all their food is delicious and not ridiculously priced. Good fish, small portions, expensive. Apparently, Zena Sushi didn't get the memo that "everything's big in Texas." All the sushi was delicious, but the portions were tiny for the price. The uni was on the "fresh" board, and the portion was more in line with other sushi restaurants. The uni was fabulous - the best I've had in some time. I had a spicy yellowtail roll that was delicious buy tiny, and the sashimi combo @ $19 for 3 pieces of salmon, 3 tuna, 3 snapper, 3 white tuna and 1 shrimp. If I put 3 pieces of sashimi together, I would have 1 piece at other restaurants. I left hungry after $35 + tip. read more

Amazing little restaurant. MOST of their food is delicious. My favorites rolls are the Call Me Devil and the Tempura Cali which are to die for! The atmosphere is relaxing and the staff is very friendly. Not to mention the Rave theater is a few feet away, making it a great date spot. read more

The food tastes great and is presented beautifully, like a majority of sushi bars, but the chefs need to wake up. The first time I went there, I made a to-go order for a single item. I went shopping for 30 minutes. When I walked back in, both of the sushi chef's stared at each other for a moment awkwardly because they had forgotten to make my order; So I had to sit there and wait another 20 minutes. Second time I went there, I asked for a eel cucumber roll. I made sure it did not come with avocados because I'm allergic. I asked them to substitute the cucumbers for cream cheese. When the server gave me my order, he said the chef forgot to add the cream cheese, so he just put it on the side. --Eel takes a while to bake -- I reluctantly took it as is because I did not want to wait for another portion of eel to cook. When I returned to my car I inspected the roll. It was made with avocado instead of cucumber and came with cream cheese squished into the wasabi and ginger. I double checked the menu to see if the roll comes with avocado. Then I had to return it and wait for another roll. It's also particularly frustrating because the restaurant was empty both times and I had tipped generously in advanced. read more

It doesn't matter how many times I go there, I'm always left fat, happy and stuffed without finding a hole in my wallet afterwards. After searching the area for a good sushi place from Irving to Keller and what have you, we tried Zena on a whim after being completely turned off by the Logan's on the other side of the parking lot. After that experience, we figured the great taste and experience was just a bit of a fluke. However, we've been upwards of six times in the last two weeks since then and can not get enough of the place. Didn't expect it to be so good for the price but we were really impressed. The lack of busy times, however, has us worried this little gem will disappear before the word can get out. The service and food are constantly good. The last time, they put our food on one plate but we worked around it. 1/6 isn't that bad for a confusing experience. All in all, wonderful. Delicious. Great green tea. Great options. My husband and I have never left disappointed. Full maybe.. but never disappointed. The waitress is an extremely lovely lady and we always enjoy listening to her stories and "chatting" with her. Our food always tastes fresh and the rolls are always soft . The ambiance is always nice. Great amount of food for the money. I had the Cajun roll and shrimp tempura rolls. The Cajun roll was alright, nothing I would probably have again. The crawfish wasn't seasoned that well and was deep fried. The shrimp tempura was really good and the flavors meshed will together. Though this was my first time having sushi, I felt that the price and how much you get were on point. I will probably be back to try some more and see what other dishes of theirs I like. read more

By the looks of this place, it's not what I'd expect a good sushi restaurant to be -- it's next to a Carraba's & on the premises of the mall. The inside is very plain and simple -- and that's kind of how I would describe the food as well. It's always good and surpasses many other Japanese restaurants in the area which are considerably more expensive. It's also very clean - an important detail in any restaurant. The wait staff is also friendly here. The same couple of women have been serving for the last 2-3 years and recognize my family when we visit. read more

I have been going to Zena for years and I've even gotten my hubby and 11 year old hooked on sushi and trying new things... the sushi has always been really good and really big... until today .... they're under new management and it's not the same.... the cook literally put our food in a to go box, then realized that it was to stay, then he put my hubby's food on the plate, which mind you was not supposed to be on that plate and served that way, then my bento box was actually in a Togo box and they left it in there and served it to me.... I had to tell them to make it correctly, then when I asked them why was my hubby's food made differently than all the years before, they couldn't explain why but remade it (wrong again) and didn't charge us for that ( his was the Baked Salmon Roll) it's supposed to have 10 pieces and have big pieces of baked salmon and in foil to keep it hot.... I had to ask for the bowl to put my soy sauce in, had to ask for extra spicy mayo and the waiter acted like I was bothering him when I asked.... I'm very disappointed and sad bc this literally was my family's favorite sushi place for over 3 years and i promise we will never go back.... we over heard other people that were unhappy also.... they are going to lose a lot of business if they don't get it together and it looks like they already have.... read more

I was excited to see a new sushi place in Hurst so I went and tried it on a Friday evening. When I arrived there was a family at the bar seating area and another couple at one of the tables so I got my choice at what table I wanted to sit at. During my visit, the place got a little busier with most of the tables being used. I ordered 2 rolls and a tea and ended up with a $17 tab. Not too bad. The rolls were very good and came to me pretty quick. Overall, I'd say it is a pretty average sushi place. I will definitely be back because of the variety of rolls. Only negative was that the radio was up a little too loud for my taste. read more

When I walked in this little restaurant, it was completely empty so I automatically assumed it was a bad idea. Then once I got my sushi I could not believe it was so delicious!!! So we were brave and ordered takeout from here tonight for Vday. We were VERY happy with our food! It was really good. We had their volcano roll, seared tuna sashimi, spider roll, and ninja roll. All were really tasty, good crab meat (Im kinda picky in that area so trust me it was good). There are two minor reasons I gave it 4 out of 5 stars. The volcano roll had very little sauce but I think that is due to it being a takeout order (they heaped on plenty of crawfish though:) and the sashimi was really good but I prefer the seared pepper tuna sashimi from Lava Grill (it is simply the best!). Overall though I would order again and like to visit someday. Kinda hard with little kids in tow. read more
