Do not get pizza here! My pizza came cold and chewy. It had black burns all over the crust when i called back to explain my situation and frustration after spending almost 40 Bucks on a large pizza after tip and drink .. to only be told there isn't anything they would do for me !? I then asked for a manager and the lady said I am the manager and basically we're not going to do anything to make this right... I even asked hey if you want you can send your driver right back. He had just left 3 mins ago and have him take the pizza back aaannnddd still they denied me .... I have never had such terrible customer Service or served such poor product in my life! I would advise going else where I used to think highly of this place and now I am wondering how long they will make It in the industry with prices this high and quality this low .. i don't mind all paying more for a good product but to have such terrible food and customer service I feel taken advantage of as a consumer! read more

This critique is all about Zeeks, which logo is pretty chic; Interior is modern, not antique. Behind the counter we took a peek The pizzas seem great to eat The names are really neat; Puget Pounder or Kitchen Sink I couldn't decide, so to speak. Near a window we took a seat The table had a dirty streak. Waiter used a rag that reeks to wipe the mess -- not so sleek. The pizza taste was quite weak, bland and greasy were the meat. Yuck! I give one star only because they don't skimp on toppings. But overall the pizza was horrible. The dough must be pre-made somewhere else, did not taste fresh, in fact it tasted too sweet. Sissy and I strolled in here the other night, thinking we'd just grab a slice-to-go and chill by the lake or something. Alas, they only had 3 slices available--2 cheese or 1 pepperoni--boring! No problem, we thought, we'll just order a whole pizza and have leftovers! (Both of us knowing full well that we'd end up doing that from the beginning, naturally.) And we decided on a salad, too, in an attempt to be somewhat healthy. We grabbed our waters, sat down by the windows, and giggled over the little girl who was just outside, dancing, and checking herself out in the glass as though it were a mirror. The perfect entertainment, which lasted right up until our pizza came. Yes, the pizza came first before the salad, inexplicably. The "waiter" said it would be right out, so we dug in. Twenty minutes and half a pizza later, still no salad. And it wasn't like they were slammed and didn't have time to make it. The employees were all kind of wandering around behind the counter, obviously having forgotten about us. So we finally reminded them, and they slapped one together real fast, apparently making up for the mishap by dumping 4 times more feta on top than was necessary. Anyway, the food was good, just like at the other Zeek's locations, but the service was *wah-wahhh*. Next time, I'll go to the sit-down version on Phinney and have me some beer to go with the meal! read more

F***in CRAP!! I hate this place, I ordered a pizza over the phone. I had never tried zeeks before. The toppings tasted old. The basil on my pizza was a few tiny strips of dried up, very old and crispy green stuff. I asked 3 times for the crust to be cooked extra and so that it would be crispy. (I know everyone has their own tastes..... but I asked for it crispy and it came soggy and rubbery.) I called the place an they just said "sorry", no coupon, no nothing.... At least pagliacci pizza usually gives you a awesome pie, and when they don't..... they give you a free one for another night. I hate Zeeks .... Oh and their "superior" Cesar salad was 5 dollars for a tiny & just average ok salad,.... it was just normal hotel cesar.... I wont ever order from here again. I was definitely not impressed with Zeeks. My friend and I went in for a slice of pizza and a salad before walking around Greenlake one night. The pizza was so-so. At nearly $4 bucks a slice, you'd think it would be amazing, but no. The crust was a bit soggy and there really wasn't that much flavor to be found. Considering the pizza had been sitting under a warmer, I also expected it to be warm, but that was a mistake. My slice was lukewarm and ended up cold by the time I finished. I ordered a Caesar salad as well, but waited a considerable amount of time for it to be delivered to the table. I finally got up and went to the front to ask if it was on the way. The teenage girl working at the counter sort blinked at me and said, "No one told me to make a Caesar salad." She told me she'd bring it out shortly. About 5 minutes later she brought it by the table and apologized, but it was kind of a bummer since I'd already been waiting quite a while for it to arrive and I was nearly done with my pizza. Since I'm a nice person, I had tipped when I paid for the meal...but I ended up regretting it considering both the mediocre pizza and delayed salad. I guess I'd give Zeeks another try, but I'd probably go to a different location because I was really unimpressed by this one. read more

I'd only come here if I were randomly craving pizza and Pagliacci's wasn't nearby. 1. Kinda grimy location. Like, the decor was cool ten years ago, but now it seems out of date and worn. 2. After going here for a 2nd time, I can easily say this is some of the worst pizza I have ever had before. Including pizza served in the cafeteria of my dorms. Even frozen pizza is better than this. The crust is doughy, the sauce extremely bland, as well as the cheese and toppings(pepperoni, sausage and canadian bacon). World Wraps was closed, we were hungry, and my boyfriend had never had Zeeks and I am always willing to give a place a 2nd chance. Well, I did that. Pretty darn expensive but thankfully, the pizza is worth the extra dough... get it? Anyways... The Dragon - The sausage is spicy, the pepperoni is spicy, the jalapenos are spicy, the garlic and mozz are fresh and plentiful, and the sauce is zesty and yummy. Quentin Florentino - Clever name for a delicious pizza, albeit a fairly common combination when it comes to veggie pizzas. Regardless - Delicious. Love the chunks of artichoke and sun dried tomato, love the goat cheese which is fresh and not skimped on... love anything with spinach, and the olive oil brushed on is perfectly matched. Well done, for sure. There are plenty to try, and while I hope some day they lower their prices just for me, I will inevitably drunk dial them in the future. read more

Really disappointing for the price. We order pizza twice a week from the other big local Seattle pizza chain and we decided to switch it up and try Zeek's last night. We ordered a large Quattro Fromaggi, a whole Caesar salad and a can of Coke, which cost about the same as the other place - just over $37 with tip. The pizza dough was thick, doughy and under-cooked and tasted a lot like the kind you would get from a cheap grocery-store oven pizza. The Caesar salad was literally chopped lettuce sprinkled with parmesan cheese and croutons that also tasted like store-bought cheapies. After we had a couple of slices, the pizza just sat there and we literally walked passed it to look in the fridge for other dinner stuff. If you want your $40 worth, I'd recommend trying your luck somewhere else. read more

Larger than average slices of pizza, with a good selection of by the slice options. They also have a decent selection of microbrews and usually a maritime pacific option on draft, which is nice. And options for a growler. Prices on whole pies seem a bit high, but they have some creative combos and flexibility. Definitely an option for a quick bite on Green Lake, and they have been around awhile, while other restaurants have come and gone. read more

Zeeks is one of those pizza places that is sometimes brilliant and sometimes bad. How you feel about their pies will really depend on how close to 'one or the other' yours happens to be. The times I've had "brilliant" Zeeks, it's been five stars and my favorite pizza in Seattle: The crust is a great balance of crisp and chewy, a perfect foundation for tangy tomato sauce, cheesy cheese and solid pepperoni. A dash of basil on the top is a nice touch, and I very nearly eat an entire large before reminding myself it tastes just as good (better? different?) cold the next day. The times I've had "bad" Zeeks, it's been one or two stars and makes me doubt my loyalty to the place. Their pies can be soggy, undercooked, floppy and so half-baked that the toppings slide right off as you try to pick a piece up. In these cases all I can do is grab the old fork and knife, eat a little and put the rest in the fridge for leftovers. Oh Zeeks, how I wish you were always brilliant. I wish I didn't need to always order extra pizza sauce, the resulting 'too much' being better than the usual 'too little'. I wish you were always cooked to perfection, like you sometimes are. With a little more consistency and reliability, Zeeks could be the best pizza in Seattle. Now, they're just 'sometimes brilliant, sometimes bad'. read more

Terrible customer service. I ordered two slices of pepperoni and was told to wait 10 minutes. After the new pizza was done they served people that were in line way after me. When I asked how they received their pizza before me the guy told me it was a technical error. Didn't even apologize or offer anything to make up for it. Oh yeah the pizza was bad after waiting over 30 minutes. Never again will I go to this place. Better off buying pizza from the frozen food section. read more

I've been meaning to write this review for some time now. It's average for a reason. STAFF: Generally friendly, helpful and young, but let's not kid ourselves - this is SEATTLE on the WEST COAST. You can be as clear and specific and repeat yourself, and they will still mess up orders on a regular basis, get visibly annoyed although still attempting to seem pleasant and they generally don't go the extra mile. That goes for almost every service job in the area, but still. They are pretty good with kids and larger parties. DELIVERY: They have a good online system, but I find it's still better to call if you have any special requests. The program online has some issues where it's tough to relay exactly what you want. If they mess up, they usually make up for it in an adequate manner, so definitely call back if you are not pleased. The plastic parmesan packets are questionable. LOCATIONS: They seem to be in most every neighborhood. PARKING: Usually decent and available. INTERIOR: First, the ambiance: These pizzerias are not fancy, kind of dark and not especially well maintained. REST ROOMS: OK - not awful. KID-FRIENDLY: Very. Be prepared for noisy chaos. They are on the ball about kids, for the most part. They even offer a less spiced/herbed sauce for kids. Please keep your kids from running around, though. It's a pet peeve of mine as I've been in food/beverage service, and there's nothing more annoying or dangerous at a restaurant. BEVERAGES: Standards, good beer and a few wines plus they claim cocktails (!) - haven't had those, though, and some good non-alky choices like Paradise Iced tea and Kemper's soda as well as the usual crap sodas. I could be wrong, but the ice and water are NOT filtered. AND...the PIZZA: CRUST: Well, if you like a super fluffy, chewy soft crust that gets tough kind of fast and doesn't hold up well the next day, then maybe you'll like that. I prefer a crispier crust with some olive oil and flavor. SAUCE: Sometimes, they use too much sauce, but the standard red is bland, especially if they keep the herbs and spices out as they do for the kid's version (you have to ask for that) . They do sprinkle oregano on top of many of the pizzas, and it's fairly strongly flavored, if you like that. The alfredo or garlic sauces are better. The pesto is OK and the others are pretty good (thai peanut/buffalo, etc.) CHEESE: Not the best. Not very flavorful. Probably not aged and seems like low-fat, which isn't great on a pizza. TOPPINGS: They can be very skimpy - always ask for double if you like a topping, and even then, with the extra effort and expense, you'll be hard-pressed to get what you expect. They do have some great add-ons, though, like broccoli, cherry bomb peppers, bacon, flavored chicken, arugula, cilantro, chevre. OVERALL: They DO NOT COOK THEIR PIZZAS LONG ENOUGH. Ask for "well done'" and it will still be white as most of North Seattle. Flavor comes from a deep golden bake, and it's almost completely missing here. However, some of the pizzas are better than others. Some of the more tolerable ones (to me) have been: White Album with lots of broccoli Pepperoni with pineapple Tree Hugger Cherry Bomb (sub chicken) Buffalo Soldier The pizzas are expensive for what you get. DESSERT Ben and Jerry's - the company sold out long ago, so the ingredients are crap and the add-ins are sparse. Better pizza than Pagliacci's. Way less greasy, by far. The first two minutes of eating a Pagliacci's pizza is spent dabbing the grease off it it - at Zeek's you can go right into the eating part. Plus the flavor is better. Why not 5 stars? Service. The staff seems more interested in doing other work, and didn't bother to put out the sign with their lunch specials. The closest thing to a New York slice. So good, I've started craving this every week! I love thin crust pizza with a crispy crust. Walk in and get a huge slice (about the size of 2 regular slices!). I decided not to get it warmed up the last time I was there because when they put it in the oven to warm it up, the bottom gets too hard and dry. I love the plain cheese one or the one with artichoke hearts, goat cheese and sun-dried tomatoes. Pros: I love how the pieces are cut a bit skinnier than normal slices (when you order whole pizzas), so I can trick myself into feeling like I'm eating less. And I love their inventive topping combinations. Cons: Crust is kind of tasteless. The crust is normally my favorite part of the pizza (yes, I know I'm weird), and Zeeks' crust just tastes...bland and doughy. And the pizza seems very expensive, compared to comparable (or better-tasting) pizza places I've ordered from. Overall, it's pizza! So it has to be delicious, by definition. The most beautiful and tasty pizza flavors ever! They have an overabundance of specialty pies and the standards as well. Cute names, yummy pizza, and you just can't go wrong! If you STILL can't find anything you like (impossible) they let you customize. We get one we dubbed "The Dragonfly." It's their "Dragon" plus feta cheese, bacon, and red peppers. It's delicious, and you should order it! I usually get the pizza delivery or walk to Green Lake, so I didn't mark off for sparse parking at some locations. Also, huge bonus for being located next door to Ben & Jerry's--genious!!! Online orders rock! This seems the standard now days, but I still appreciate not having to make a phone call. They do call to confirm your order right away, but it's a small price to pay. Speaking of prices--I find them realistic. It's in the ball park of $35-40 for a large. Comparable, I think. Went there after a Sunday morning trip to the zoo. Two families, two kids. It is nice how they offer pizza dough to kids to play with while waiting for your order. One of the best rewards after running Greenlake on a Sunday morning: Zeek's Pizza's Texas Leaguer!!! Zeek's Pizza offers a wide variety of toppings and you can also build your very own pizza. But ever since that one time I tried a slice of the Texas Leaguer, I've always craved for it so I couldn't say no to that when I saw it on the menu. The Texas Leaguer has pieces of chicken, mozzarella, bbq sauce, red onion, fresh cilantro, and some other toppings that I might've forgotten. In my opinion, I don't think it has the best crust though. If you're looking for some good quality pizza, try Zeek's, but do keep in mind that it is on the pricey side. read more

Zeeks is O-Tay! The pizzas are pretty good. They make the only vegetarian pizza I actually like. The tree hugger. You actually feel like it's a semi-healthy meal. It really is a tasty combo and is one of our go-to pizzas. They have this combo call the Dragon which is pretty killer too. That's our go-to we-want-meat pizza. Pepperoni, Jalapenos, garlic. Great pizza! The delivery driver was amazingly nice, educated, and quick to get here. I like how the toppings are on top and not under the cheese (I ordered the Puget Pounder). And the mushrooms- OMG, they're huge and delicious! Wonderful combination pizzas on menu and at fair prices. The cheese is good. The sauce is good. No delivery charge is a huge bonus, as I like tipping drivers $5. I almost couldn't believe he was driving a Nissan Leaf! One of the best places in north Seattle/ Green Lake to get an awesome gluten free pizza.

I have had much love for Zeek's pizza for years now. I was a little bummed when they supplanted Guido's oh so many moons ago, but I acclimated, and grew to love Zeek's for what it is. It's good, hippie-ish pizza with interesting combinations of lots of things. Today I wrote off the Greenlake Zeek's for good. The pizza: Cardboard. Did you forget the salt in the crust? A negligible amount of cheese, and the toppings were....fine. just fine. Not delicious, not incredible quality like you used to count on for Zeek's. Just fine. The salad: UGH. A plate of headed-south romaine lettuce. Half-heartedly tossed with GARLIC mostly, and some parm. The dressing was separated on the plate, so I imagine that Snarky Slacker Tween didn't *shake* it before tossing the too-much-lettuce with it. The soda: flat. This is not rocket science, people. Fountain soda, flat? No excuse. The staff: See: Snarkly Slacker Tween. The 'manager?', when approaching me and SST because we were having a conversation about the price of this terrible meal, said 'the prices are all on the board'. This brings me to The price: $13 for a slice of bad flavorless pizza, flat soda and past-prime salad with goopy dressing! AND I TIPPED THEM because it's what you do, what I do anyway. I wish I could have my money back. If the owners of Zeek's could pull the staff out of the walk-in and off the pipe long enough to train them well, it would be nice. I think their survival at this location has been based on volume alone, its proximity to the lake makes it a place to stop and take your hungry whining kids, regardless of cost or quality. A side note: When hanging out with a friend later today and recounting the tale of woe, she said 'oh yeah, we'll DRIVE to Phinney Ridge Zeek's before letting the Greenlake one deliver to us. I love being able to order pizza by the slice. And to be able to get deluxe pizza that is not the standard cheese or pepperoni? Heck-to-the-yes! The pizza does sit under a warmer until you decide you want it but then they heat it up again for you and it is perfectly crispy and has that just out of the pizza oven taste. It is just under $4 per giant Costco-sized slice but it is in line with their pricing on their whole pies which they make to order. I had the Quentin Florentino (punny!) which had goat cheese, sundried tomatoes, artichoke hearts, some other things and it was to die for! Crispy crust, not too greasy ... Service is friendly, pizza is delish, what more could you ask for? This is the perfect place to come after a mid-afternoon stroll around Greenlake since it's right across the street. read more
