Stopped while out running errands. The name was changed but the service remained efficient and polite as always. BUT They changed the name, they've updated the menu. It's fresh with just a little attitude. We have the turkey chilli with a half southwest turkey half sandwhich. The chilli didn't disappoint. Spicy but not overpowering. A great fall classic. The sandwich features a cibotta mayo that wakes up the pepper jack cheese and gives the generous turkey a pleasant freshness. Customer service was fine except that they forgot to give me my cup at first (I paid for one). Another girl gave me my cup when I received my food. 1/2 star was taken away. Cali chicken sandwich was very tasty. Generous amount of meat. I liked the addition of the mashed avocado and roasted jalapeño ranch sauce was very tasty. I also tried the alligator gumbo and lobster bisque. I was disappointed in both. The alligator gumbo had nice Cajun seasoning but there wasn't a whole lot of meat like the picture online (alligator, crawfish, andouille sausage). Very few pieces. I went there. Wasn't really impressed, although they do have a lot of soups if you're in the soup mood, but if you're a connoisseur of soup. This definitely wouldn't be the place. I love homemade soups. I think these are out of a bag.,... But if you're not picky, you'll be fine. They do offer a mix of wrap.. salads fatbreads quinoa bowls..... The salads are mixed with arugula, kale and spinach which created a problem for myself because I can only eat romaine and the romaine that they had was already mixed. I was going to try to have a Caesar salad but couldn't because it had spinach in it. At least that's what the girl said.... But had I been able to eat it I would have really probably enjoyed it because that is a great mix of greens..... I do like the variation of ingredients for the wraps.... But remember they are cold wraps.... Very clean establishment. And don't worry about parking. There's plenty of it .... This review is specific to a recent delivery order (I cannot comment on customer service or the store interior). We wanted to try Zoup as we had heard good things about their soups. My husband got the chicken noodle soup, and I got the fire roasted tomato soup, and both were mediocre at best. The tomato soup had a very heavy layer of oil that essentially congealed upon delivery, and it lacked flavor. My husband's chicken noodle soup definitely had a lot of noodle, but lacked in chicken and seasoning. While I really wanted to like this place, I unfortunately don't see myself returning. read more

Soup has always been a favorite food of mine. And Zoup! does a good job of it, always has. The lobster bisque had actual lobster meat in every spoonful. What makes me sad, though is the shrinking portions and rising costs. I know everything is more expensive, but a quick lunch to go should not cost $25 and I didn't even get a drink. I'm so glad this location is still open. It's a little far for me, but worth it. It looks like the only other Chicago location is downtown in the Loop. Overall the soups are good, but they do have a more mass produced taste as opposed to a homemade taste. The selection though is unmatched and they are still really good. They are generous regarding samples so I recommend trying a few to see what you like. Some of my favorites are the chicken pot pie, sirloin roadhouse chili, lemon chickpea vegetable, pepper steak, and spicy black bean chili. Due to the fact that the selections are rotated, I recommend checking on line first. I also like the turkey and bacon club sandwich, the Italian Market sandwich, the sweet Thai chicken salad, and the chicken and bacon Cobb salad. I am dying to try the grilled cheese dippers and Mexican street corn but have not yet had the pleasure. I went to Zoup for the first time on a cold fall evening when I decided I needed some soup to warm up. They have twelve soup options, and they offer samples to help you decide. I cringed a little at all the plastic waste from the samples though. They serve the samples in a little plastic cup and you can use a plastic spoon as well but I chose to drink my sample. I tried a sample of the Lobster Bisque, which was a little odd, so I decided to risk it and ordered the Fire Roasted Tomato Bisque, which turned out to be ok. It is served with your choice of French bread or 5-grain bread (which was really good)! They have the option to make a meal (Pick 2 maybe it was called?). I chose to pair my soup with a Southwest Turkey sandwich. I also really enjoyed the sandwich, it was toasted and the cheese was melty... yum. I think I will come back to Zoup. I'll probably choose a different soup next time, but I'll order the sandwich and 5-grain bread again! read more

This the place if you want top notch soup, salads, and sandwiches. Their Clam Chowder is rich, creamy, with good chunks of clams, potatoes, and vegetables with a nice subtle herby flavor. Their Chicken Caesar Salad is fresh with a nice mix of greens, slices of Parmesan cheese, nice chunks of chicken, and a creamy, flavorful Caesar dressing. Add bacon and it puts it over the top. As others have said the soup tasting is really nice. The chicken noodle was too sweet for our tastes. We settled on Chicken pot pie and Chicken tortilla. We also had a Garden Veggie salad and a chicken toscana sandwich. The pot pie soup needed salt and pepper. The tortilla soup was ok but was helped by a shot or two of Frank's hot sauce. The salad had some large spinach leaves (with large stems) in it. Someone should trim the stems off of the spinach. The bread on the sandwich was fresh but chunks of chicken fell out when you tried to eat it. The extra chunks of French bread were fresh. In general we thought they had too many cream/cheesy soups and not enough broth type soups. The store was clean and bright. The employees were polite and helpful. Most recently, I tried the North African Harissa Cauliflower soup in a Parmesan bread bowl and am OBSESSED! It is such a unique and tasty blend of flavors (I even tried to make it at home myself but it didn't come out nearly as good). The manager (whom I'm guessing must be the owner) showed me so much hospitality in giving me different samples of all the different soups which he told me is what they always do in there-how fun!!! I go here about every other week. I love the soups and the employees are really great and helpful. However, I don't know if it's a website thing or newsletter thing. My girlfriend loves the Italian wedding soup so usually we will wait until I check the daily email and see they have it in store. I've been to Zoup! on three occasions and I have found that the food is delicious and the staff is consistently friendly. I've interacted with different staff members each time I've visited and they have all been incredibly friendly and helpful. The first time I came in, they asked me if I have been there before. They walked me through their story and how they have 100+ original soup recipes and have 12 rotating on a daily basis. I was then asked if I would like to sample any soups and I was so glad to know they provide samples! It helped me become more open to soups I may not have ordered if I was on the fence about whether I would like them or not. So far I have had the Lobster Bisque and the Overstuffed Bell Pepper and both have been delicious. I have also had the Asian Salad, a go-to for me when a comparable item is available at any restaurant. This one was right up my alley with the toppings. The dressing was fantastic and it's definitely something I plan on ordering a lot in the future. The Chicken Toscana sandwich has a basil mayo that is to die for. The bread is perfectly toasted and pairs well with the sandwich ingredients overall. Zoup! also has a punch card that you get punched for each visit. If you visit after 3:00pm, you get an extra punch. 12 punches gets you a free 2-item combo! Note for the combo soups: even if you're incredibly hungry, the side soup is PLENTY of soup! Especially paired with another item and with the complimentary bread that's included. They offer to upgrade it to a cup for 99¢ which might be good for those who plan to share or bring some home. I have eaten in twice and carried out once, and their service was quick with each order type. The restaurant is clean and quiet when I go in, and offers free wi-fi to guests. Their carry out bags are sturdy and I was not worried that my items would spill while traveling home. Zoup! is my new favorite, and I wish there was a location closer to my work in Burr Ridge. I will definitely be going here over Panera as their food is definitely superior. Some reviews mention that the items are a little pricey, but you get more for your money, more delicious items than what Panera has to offer in my opinion, and a less-crowded atmosphere to enjoy your meal. I will gladly pay $2 more for my delicious meal here than go to a comparable restaurant. read more

So... I decided to stop by this place the other day for soup and sandwich. I ordered the Turkey Cuban sandwich which was turkey and ham. I got my order to go, and when I got home and started eating it, the ham was totally inedible! I mean, you Could NOT eat this! It was the consistency of a hard piece of fat! When I tried contacting the store, I went into some weird voicemail and left a message. And, of course, no one ever bothered getting back to me.... But it gets better!
