This place is truly a hidden gem. The owner is incredibly kind and welcoming--he greeted me with a big smile the moment I walked in. I let him know it was my first time there, and he took the time to suggest something for me, which I really appreciated. For context, one of my clients had previously bought me a steak shawarma from here, and it was so good that I had to come back and try it for myself. This time, I went with the chicken shawarma wrap, and let me just say--it did not disappoint. The flavor was on point, and the sauce he added tied everything together perfectly. Since I'm on a diet, I skipped the fries and went with a salad instead, which was a great choice. I ordered my food to go, but from what I could see, the restaurant was very clean and had plenty of seating available. Overall, great food, great service, and a genuinely welcoming atmosphere. Really good! I was in a hurry so I only tried three of the little flatbreads in the deli case. They were easy to eat and I liked the zaatar option the best. The man working there was friendly and the inside of the restaurant was modernized but still small like I remembered it when it was Lebanese Oven. I miss the original restaurant but I'm glad we have a Syrian/Lebanese restaurant now too! read more

Parking: plenty, it's in a shopping center Got the zataar bread and sujuk plate. The garlic or white sauce was so good! Wish there was a little bit more pickled items but overall the food was great. I like the music too. Employee was very nice. read more

This place deserves a line out the door that's the only thing missing. The food actually stands out from the usual Levant-style spots. Finally, a place that isn't following the same Americanized menu, The wraps and sandwiches are made the way they're supposed to be made not adjusted to fit the market. That's bold, challenging, and honestly refreshing. They have fries wrap, this is something we miss from the middle east and it's nowhere to be found around here , so we were really thrilled to try it and it was 10/10 . Simple and not too saucy. They put mayo in it so it could be vegetarian with some modifications. Sujuk sandwich hit the spot. It's a very nice cozy spot , meant to be for takeout but there is couple of clean well maintained tables in case u want to dine in. read more

New place in town and I'm glad they are open. My husband found this place while looking for middle eastern food near work. He tried the chicken shawarma and it was really good. The food here is so good, I got the chicken Shawarma (only 9.99!!) and the fatayer bites which are like mini pizzas. everything was outstanding in taste and very affordable for someone who has jury duty and has to go out and buy lunch every single day. Had lunch here for the first time and it was DELICIOUS!!! The owner is so kind and helpful, I had the chicken shawarma plate, "Syrian style," and the flavors of the meal were amazing!! Also had the baba ganoush which was great. Got to try a piece of the special pizza with the homemade cheese as well which was really yummy. My friend had the falafel plate which also looked so good. This is a relatively new Lebanese owned restaurant. I'd come to eat at the old one (Cedar Tree?) and was pleasantly surprised. The food arrived and it looked pretty. The salad was topped with Olives, thinnish fries and beef shawarma. So good. read more

I don't usually review places but this was one of the best restaurant meals I've ever had. I got the beef shawarma plate, and they put this sweet dark sauce on top of it and the fries. The man who helped me was really kind despite his lack of English, and the restaurant was cute and small. Tables had Tabasco and olive oil, and it seemed like everyone enjoyed their meals. That man took care of everything, served everybody, and checked to make sure their meals were enjoyable. I'm a delivery driver from City of Industry, and I'll definitely be coming back here next time I'm in Ventura. read more

I was a fan of Lebanese Oven, so needless to say I was disappointed when I went there the other night only to find it was a new restaurant. I almost drove off but I decided to give Zaytouna Bites a try, and I'm so glad I did. The remodel was nice and very clean, the guy there (I assume the owner) was super friendly, and the food was excellent. We got three plates: beef shawarma, falafel, and sujuk. I ordered the chicken schwarma plate, substituting baba ganoush and humus, instead of the standard fries My wife ordered the beef kofta plate, which came with fries. All the food was excellent, except the fries which were a little too soft for our taste. The baba ganoush and thin wrap schwarma were particularly outstanding. I love this type of food have eaten at many different places specializing in the cuisine of the Levant throughout Southern California, and I have to say that this little Syrian gem offers some of the best we have had since moving from LA to Ventura. read more

This place is an absolute terrific. Albert is genuinely welcoming and generous with his portions. We had the chicken tawouk wrap, it was delicious. The hummus is spot on and creamy. Went after my classes finished at Ventura College, remember it being Lebanese Oven. Food was just amazing, went in thinking it wouldn't be as good as the old spot but I was very wrong. I had the Lahm bi ajeen, it tastes SO good. the crust is nice and thin, it's also a mix of soft and crispy. The seasonings on it is absolutely amazing aswell. I ate the whole entire plate.
