Wow, Zaytoon is an amazing find. I stumbled upon Zaytoon on Yelp and I'm so glad that I did. We ordered the chicken shawarma wrap, tzatziki dip, baba ghanoush dip, and falafel wrap. The wraps come with salad or fries. I got the salad and it was so fresh with the most delicious dressing. The falafel wrap is a must try. You get a ton of delicious food at a great pricepoint. I can't wait to try their whole menu. Not only is the food delicious and fresh, the owners are so nice! See you next week Zaytoon! read more

Such a big fan of Zaytoon! I come here at least a few times a month. The falafel wrap is amazing. They have pickled veggies in there, which is a great addition. Really brings all of the flavors together. The sauce they use (I think it's tahini-based) is soooo good, I literally want to smother it on everything. The food here is super authentic, and the prices really can't be beat. They serve every dinner entree with 2 or 3 sides of their choice (it's different every day) and they're always delicious! The kibbeh here is delicious! I try to come here on buffet days (I think it's only Saturdays and Sundays now) so I can get a little nibble of everything on their menu. So far, I haven't been disappointed with anything! Everything tastes so fresh, the service is impeccable, and the prices cannot be beat. We came to Clinton for the Russian icons yesterday, but the best part of the visit was lunch at Zaytoon. In the Cambridge/Somerville area we have some of the best Middle East food around, but Zaytoon is extraordinarily good. My party ordered the assorted appetizer plate, felafel roll-up, spinach pie, biryani rice, of course started with the complimentary homemade soup (that day was savory Brussel sprouts and cabbage, a bit salty but delish) all very fresh and well prepared. Ample portions at very modest prices. The service was prompt and thoughtful all the way. Casual atmosphere, family friendly as well. Broad selection of vegan/vegetarian menu items for my pals, and yummy meat selections as well. We WILL be back! read more

So. Good. A must-try for Mediterranean food lovers! The buffet was a great value and had an abundance of fresh staple offerings like curried vegetables, bean salad, fish, chicken, eggplant and more, as well as a rice, soup and pita bread station. I've tried many-a hummus from similar Mediterranean joints outside of Boston, but this one took the cake for taste and freshness. When we finished our food, the owner graciously gave us a few pieces of fresh falafel. Absolutely delicious! They also make a tasty beet hummus that I highly recommend trying. After almost 6 weeks of eating my own cooking - it occurred to me to try takeout. Although I have lived in all 3 neighboring towns of Clinton for a total of 30+ years and frequently visit the Strand -I had never been to Zaytoons. I ordered by phone - the chicken swarma and Tzatziki. The quality and quantity of food was way beyond my expectations. The food is simply wonderful. I made 3 meals out of it. The complementary soup was unexpected in every way. Amazing! I had a lunch for 2 from it - which along with the pita and tzatziki made us very happy. Zaytoon, Hang in there! First time visiting Zaytoons today and we are very satisfied. Great food (real family recipes) and nice people. The place was very quiet - only a few other customers. We went for the buffet with some falafel on the side. The buffet was very good and the falafel was fantastic. I can't believe this place is in Clinton, MA! This type of restaurant is more likely to be found in Boston or Cambridge. We will definitely return! read more

A friend and I went ot CLinton to see the Russian icon museum and happened across Zaytoon. We're from the greater NY metro area and used to really good Mediterranean food. This place is as good as the reviews would lead you to believe. I'm not sure what it is about these tiny towns in Metro West and their fantastic ethnic food, but maybe I'm still bowled over by Woo Jung in Ayer (went there two weeks ago, still dreaming of their japchae). We ordered hummus, lamb shawarma, veggie stir-fry, cheese and oregano pie, and some assorted baklava they had behind glass at the counter. We got it for take out but the interior of the place was utterly spotless. If we didn't have a dog waiting for us in the car, I would had no issues with dining in. Everything we ate was pretty phenomenal. The biryani rice that came with both dishes deserves special mention. I could have eaten it forever. The portion sizes are huge and the prices are reasonable. A really sweet, casual, family owned middle eastern restaurant located (surprisingly enough) in the town of Clinton. My visit included free soup and a giant portion of chicken shawarma. It seemed like the whole family works here, they didn't say much but the food and value was great. This is an incredible restaurant. I was passing through Clinton and originally wanted a slice of pizza, so I looked at four pizza places in a row on the main street. I didn't like any of them. Based on the caliber of those places, I expected Zaytoon to be a few greasy tables and a counter with falafel or something. Boy was I wrong! It's a beautiful, sparkling space with lovely artwork and inviting booths. The buffet was some of the best food I've ever had. The gentleman overseeing the place, whom I assume was the owner, was very kind to us, getting us a high chair, answering questions about the food, and being very patient when our toddler got restless and ran back and forth. The tea was perfect, the saffron rice was light and fragrant, and the lamb was excellent. I've been to Middle Eastern restaurants before but I've never had this particular type of Mediterranean food. It was like Indian food but better, because it was less heavy and more pleasant. I live about an hour from Clinton but I feel like I would drive back there just to go to Zaytoon again. I want to try everything on the menu. The music was fun, too. What a delightful place. read more

The chefs choice appetizer plate was a lovely combination of hummus, Bahba ghanouj, taziki, pita and other delights. A hidden gem in Clinton MA! Yummy Yummy Authentic Mediterranean Food. This place has been here for 7 years, Family owned and operated. Man, I was not expecting this, this place is good, a friend of mine who has been here brought us while we're visiting nearby Hudson MA. It's in small town MA Main Street The food is really deliciouso! Their lentil soup is great, their lamb shish kebab is fresh, lightly seasoned, not too greasy, you can have it as a wrap or with Basmati rice with vermicelli. The portions are not too big, it's the right size. The service was quick. The appetizers are well made, their falafel is nice and fluffy and again mildly seasoned. If I'm ever in this area I'll definitely comeback. My hat is off to the Chef. read more

Hands down my favorite restaurant in the entire greater Boston area! Their buffet on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday is outstanding for variety and quality, and an amazing value as well. (At a price of $15.00 this buffet has spoiled me for ordering the small portion of grilled salmon I would be served anywhere else! At Zaytoon you can enjoy the salmon with roast potatoes, a variety of rice pilafs and vegetable dishes, the most delicious homemade soup, and a whole salad bar, including baba ganoush, beet flavored hummus, and many other goodies). Ordering from the regular menu on weekdays is enjoyable too. This is a family business. from kitchen to table service. The decor features authentic traditional arts of the Middle East, including an exotic casbah-like tent made out of oriental carpets. Well woth a special trip to Clinton, but you can combine Zaytoon with a visit to the Museum of Russian Icons and a movie at the vintage Strand Theater, just a couple of doors down. This is absolutely my favorite restaurant. First of all, the portions are enormous. My friend ordered the barbequed chicken dish and ended up with that and a huuuge slab of pita bread, fatoosh, parsley salad, and stir-fried rice. The meal filled the whole plate. I ordered the falafel wrap and was presented with a large pita, filled with falafel, veggies, and spices. Everything was absolutely delicious. Second, the price is incredible. Whenever I go with a friend, we always eat our fill (with leftovers!) for about $16. You really get your money's worth because the food tastes fresh fresh fresh and expertly prepared. Third, the restaurant is beautifully decorated with paintings, art, and Middle Eastern paraphernalia. It's spacious and clean, and the service is excellent. We were on vacation and looking for a middle eastern place to eat. We called the restaurant beforehand and they told us they will stay open for us as we were a large party of 13 people. It was our first time coming to this place and they immediately made us feel warm and welcome. The food was tremendous! It definitely was the highlight of our vacation. Great middle eastern food in Clinton. Delicious and authentic Hummus and Baba Ganoush. Each meal comes with a free cup of soup. My wife and I went on a Saturday night - the place was quiet and we were seated right away. Service was attentive and friendly. They really care about the quality of the food they are serving. Chicken Schwarama was really nice, served over a bed of Biriyani rice with a salad. Spinach pie was delicious. Dinner for two for under $30 - and enough leftovers to bring home the hummus and baba ganoush. A beer and wine license would have made the meal perfect but as it was, a nice family atmosphere. Good! Nice little place in the center of Clinton, and the food is very good/solid. Me and my wife tried the appetizer sampler which has quite a variety of very tasty little dishes. We got the shawarma and also the Gyro plates as well. They were solid, (A-OK) as Yelp would say, but nothing crazy good. The service was awesome, a younger man helped us out and he was very knowledgeable and kind. We definitely prefer Bay State shawarma in Worcester, and if we had never tried that I'd probably give Zaytoon 4 stars, but alas I have experienced better. read more

This is our second visit and we can't get over how delicious and consistent the food and service have been. The biryani rice is amazing with its complexity of flavors and aromas. It's savory AND has sweet bits too plus a wonderful cinnamon undertone. The rice is the background for an assortment of meats. I had the chicken kebabs and my wife had the chicken schwarma. Each had its own distinctive flavor profile. Walnut baklava for dessert and some hot tea will be the perfect ending. We can't wait for their dinner buffet to start June 28th. The good Good price point. Lunch buffet options and small but interesting menu. Lots of delicious veggie options different than your standard middle eastern. Friendly attentive service. Ok decor but weird set up. The bad I had lamb kebab and switched out regular side salad for a mix of two ( eggplant and mixed bean salad). Lamb was pretty sparse, gamey and tasted like it was not cooked to order. Biryani style rice had good flavor but was over cooked. Not enough mix of tasty veggies fruits and nuts as promised. The star of meals was veggie salads. Tasted freshly made and unique flavor combos. All was served with a massive store bought dry looking pita. I might try again and just get veggies only which since I love my meat is saying something. read more

I wish I took pics but I forgot! The place is super clean and smells delicious. We ordered take out. We are vegetarian and vegan and they had plenty to offer which is not the case in most places in Clinton! We had the falafel wrap.. it's comes with a side of fries. I think for most this may be considered on the smaller portion size but for myself it was good! The bread was very fresh and yummy and the falafel was so good! My daughter got the kids meal and that is also on the smaller side but she seemed full from it! We are excited to go back and try more off the food here!
