We stopped in after a day of hiking. When we walked in, we noticed the floor was slippery but carried on. We ordered and the man at the counter is the reason this is a three star review instead of a two star review- he was super nice and seemed happy to help. There was quite the line of people but our food still came out pretty fast. The food was decent. The fries were a little over salted according to my family but I'm not complaining. The worst part was how nasty the women's bathroom was. The floor around the toilet was soaked in something that I don't even want to know what. The toilet itself was also gross. The paper towel dispenser was broken, resulting in a roll of paper towels just sitting on the counter..soaked. The men's bathroom was also not clean. read more

First they had pull forward to wait 5 minutes just to hand me some else's order. I took the order back inside and they were just about to give the car behind me my order. Never the less the chicken sandwich was NOT good. The chicken tenders had to much batter...the fries were barely warm. The best thing I had were the fried pickles ...that's the only reason they get two stars from me. Not worth my time to even take pictures...I threw most of it in the trash. read more

quaint little town next to the western Carolina campus, this zaxbys is tucked into a corner across from a Wendy's and Taco Bell (not bad selections). This is literally the worst Zaxby's I've ever been to. I'm not sure if it's poor management or staffing issues, but we will never go here again. Recently, we waited in the drive thru line for 30 minutes (no exaggeration) only to be given the wrong order. When we went inside to get it fixed, we stood in line with others given the wrong food for another 15 minutes. We decided to give them one more try. This time I ordered using the website and mobile pickup, thinking maybe it would help us get the correct food. When my husband arrived, he was told they had no salad ingredients! None. And despite talking to the manager, he was unable to get refunded without the manager forwarding it to his boss. Two days later our card still hasn't been refunded. Every time I have ordered food for delivery, the chicken is soggy, the fries are cold, and the drinks are watered down. I only live a mile from them. I usually love this zaxbys but the night shift crew's attitude is terrible.. I ordered a chicken sandwich and unfortunately it was disgusting, not cooked throughly and rubbery. I almost threw up my first bite. I walked up to the counter, not to complain but to order something different and the girl behind the counter was beyond rude. We were looking to grab a quick meal as we passed through Cullowhee at dinner time. It seemed every place we considered was extremely crowded. When we saw Zaxby's we figured it would be a good option. When we arrived there were only two people ahead of us in line. James was working the counter and was extremely friendly and polite. Just as we ordered it looked like a huge group of about 30 people came in. It was obviously too much for the staff to deal with. Somehow our order got mishandled and we waited almost 30 minutes before the incomplete order was ready. Another 7-8 minutes passed before the missing items were ready. The manager apologized and thanked us for our patience. The food was tasty, but it would have been better if the complete order was ready at the same time. This place sucks. The inconsistency, the rude staff. I do mostly online ordering and the last two times have been horrendous. I waited in their ridiculous drive thru just to be told that I had to come in and they absolutely refused to give me my order in the drive thru... I've been able to pick up in the drive thru for the past year... then this past time we go to go into the store and the doors are locked and we are told to go to the drive thru... get your stuff together. I loved Zaxby's when we moved here in 2014 but it seems lately they are cutting corners to the point it isn't worth coming in. Prices have gone up and some of my favorite menu items are disappearing. Even though they give you more ranch dressing than the average human could possibly want, they are now required to ask you whether you want the three or four tiny shreds of celery that come with the meal. I am paying for the meal as it comes. Don't ask me to forego the healthiest part of the meal I am paying for just so you squeeze a few more pennies! If you don't want to serve celery, take it off the menu like you did with the chicken salad sandwich. The Caesar salad looks like a plate full of sickly nothingness. The chicken gets lost in a sea of pale lettuce and bread cubes. Even the bacon looks like it lost all its color. You need both packets of dressing just to give it a little personality. AND they stopped putting out lemons for the iced tea. It just seems like they are more concerned about cutting costs instead of providing a tasty experience that makes you want to come back. I reiterate, I am not a new customer. I don't complain when I want to swap sides and your inexperienced teenage employees don't know how to ring it up without charging us for extra items. I don't complain when the ice machine runs out. I dine here regularly so I'm not just griping randomly, but this isn't Zaxby's I have grown to know and love. Got stuck in Sylva due to snow storm and visited this drive thru. Jon took my order and was extremely polite and courteous. He greeted me at the window with a smile and made sure I had everything I needed before I left. When I returned to my hotel room, I was just as pleased with the product. My salad was fresh and our wings were hot and crispy. (Keep in mind, the town was basically shut down and other restaurants in town were closed). Great job, Zaxby's! read more
