After visiting the Cherokee Museum, we stopped by here to eat some lunch. What a great find with seats right by the river! We got the bacon burgers, jalapeño burger, fries, and 10 pc chicken wings. Everything was delicious and we liked watching people float down the river in their flotation tubes. Worth a stop if you're in the mood for burgers and wings! read more

We got a couple burgers and got some chili fries (chili on the side). The burgers were good, they were juicy, soft and tasty. The chili was OK and the fries were a bit too limp to be able to dip them in the chili. We also had some battered onions, I would have preferred onion rings on the menu but it is what it is. Stopped here for dinner after a long day hiking in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. I just wanted a no nonsense burger. This place exceeded my expectations. The double deluxe burger was excellent: two beef patties cooked perfectly, with melty cheese, a slice of tomato and lettuce, and the right amount of mayo, ketchup, and mustard. Just a bit of red onion also. Delicious! I had the combo with fries that were good too. Served in a paper boat wrapped in paper. My only complaint is the styrofoam cups for the fountain beverage. Bad environmental point for that, but absolutely everything else was awesome. Counter service was amazingly fast and friendly, the tables were clean, the views of the river through the big windows was great too. If I lived here, I would never have a burger anywhere else. read more

Without a question, hands down, this was one of the best restaurants we've been to. The young lady taking orders and delivering food was a very sweet person. The food itself was amazing. I have some food allergies, and they were happy to accommodate. We did pay in cash which was a little bit cheaper than it would have been with card. I highly recommend going here. Food, I ordered mushroom and Swiss, but didn't know it came with the lettuce, tomato onion, and mayonnaise so it was kind of messy, but it was still good, but next time I have to say, please leave out the tomato lettuce and onion I just want to taste the Swiss and mushroom. Unless the girl did say something to me and I didn't hear it. . She did bring the food out to the table outside for me and the air conditioner Inside is pretty cold . We were driving home from Pigeon Forge and stopped in for lunch. It was delicious! The burgers were made fresh and the FF were hand cut! My teenage grandsons are hard to please and they were raving about both the burgers and the fries. They said they wish we had a Freshburger in Augusta and that their burger was better then the one we had while in Gatlinburg at one of the popular hamburger restaurants. We stopped here in our way home from a trip to Gatlinburg. I had the bacon burger and you can tell all of its ingredients were fresh. The burger and fries were so delicious. The food is entirely fresh. You can tell by the taste. It's similar to homestyle cooking, and the restaurant has good vibes. Even down to the music, it played a mix of indie, country, and pop. On top of that, there's also a wonderful view. As you are in the restaurant, choose to sit by the window. Outside, the Oconaluftee river flows vigorously. It's really beautiful. Great food and an amazing view, what is not to love? I got a bacon cheese burger and upgraded my fries to chili fries. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that they did not use canned chili, it tasted like it was from scratch. The fries tasted like they were made from fresh potatoes and the burger was so good. If I was local I would eat here all the time. We watched the snow gently fall over the water while we ate. I hope this place sticks around so I can come again the next time I am in Cherokee. We visited on 10/25/25 after a hike in Bryson City. this was our first time at Fresh Burger and it was amazing. We had burgers and wings and all of it was absolutely delicious. The food was fresh, and the hand cut fries were so good! Hubby and I tried this quaint place out. Wow just wow. He had a regular burger and I had the Meatloaf burger. He said it was the best burger he's ever eaten and he's 76 so that's saying a lot!!
